Show opens with a shot of the XWA Arena (The Du Burns arena, on the shores of the inner harbor in Baltimore, Maryland) ....


Josh Matthews and Renee Young are at the announce table (which is set up on top of the stage rather than at ringside) .... They spend some time putting over tonight's show, saying by the end of the night they will have a new XWA champion ....  


XWA CUP ROUND 1




Adam Cole - vs - Adrian Neville

Totally HOT opener that could have gone either way .... Neville looked to be in control as he set up for the Red Arrow, but Cole avoided it by getting the knees up .... Cole nailed a super kick to Neville, who was on his knees, then caught him with the 'Florida Key' (cross-armed German Suplex) for the 3 count to earn his place in the semis ....

BACKSTAGE - Kenta is interviewed backstage .... He says from now on he will be called 'Hideo Itami', which means 'Warrior of Pain' .... Kenta is interrupted by Magnus, who says they have unfinished business from last week .... While Magnus has Itami distracted, he is blindsided from behind by .... BRAM!  Bram and Magnus put the boots to Itami, and they leave him laying just moments before his XWA cup match!


'Innovator of Violence' Tommy Dreamer - vs - 'Savior of Misbehavior' Corey Graves

Graves looks like a million bucks in this match .... He attacks Dreamers leg early on and systematically works it over, setting up for the '13th step' leg lock .... Dreamer is tough, and he battles back .... He hangs Graves up in the 'tree of woe' and stomps on his crotch, then hits a DDT but Graves gets a foot on the ropes .... Dreamer goes for the Spicolli Driver but his knee buckles, allowing Graves to hit a running STO .... Graves goes for the '13th step' again, but this time Dreamer counters into a small package for the surprise 3 count!  Dreamer moves on, and he limps to the back ....

BACKSTAGE - promo by ReDragon on their match tonight with the Ascension .... O'Reiley says they are the top of the food chain in the tag team division in XWA ....


'Mr. Wrestling' Kevin Steen - vs - 'The Blueprint' Matt Morgan

This one is far from a technical masterpiece .... It is pretty much a brawl .... The crowd is totally in love with Steen, and they pop for everything he does .... Morgan busts Steens nose open with the 'Carbon Footprint', but Steen rolls outside to avoid being pinned .... Back in the ring, Morgan goes for a super-plex on Steen but he shoves him off and then hits a 'Swan-ton' bomb for a close 2 .... Morgan blocks the attempt at a package Piledriver and backdrops Steen .... Morgan goozles Steen and hits a chokeslam for a 2.9999999 count!!!!  Both men to their feet and Steen charges for the carbon footprint in the corner but Steen charges and Morgan crotches himself on the top rope!  Steen hooks Morgan .... PACKAGE PILEDRIVER!  Steen gets the 3 count!

Hideo Itami - vs - 'The Project' Tomasso Ciampa

Itami is pretty weakened from the earlier attack by Magnus and Bram, and Ciampa takes control and maintains it for most of the match .... Itami keeps on coming, but Ciampa pulls down the knee pad and DESTROYS Itami with the 'Knee of Woe' knee strikes in the corner .... Ciampa charges for the final blow, but meets a big roundhouse from Itami!  Hideo up top, but misses the diving double stomp and rolls to his feet .... EATS A CLOTHESLINE FROM CIAMPA!  Ciampa goes for 'Project Ciampa', but Itami turns it into a sunset flip then jumps to his feet and hits a standing double stomp!  Itami pulls the knee pad down .... RUNNING BUSAIKU KNEE WITH THE EXPOSED KNEE!!!!  Itami is slow to cover, and Ciampa kicks out!!!!  Itami goes for the GTS, but Ciampa fight out and Itami drops him on the apron .... Ciampa hits a hangman neckbreaker in the ropes on Itami!  That isn't enough to put Itami away, but Ciampa picks him up and drills him with 'Project Ciampa' (powerbomb dropped into a backstabber) for the 3 count!

Ethan Carter III comes out and cuts a promo to get heat from the fans by saying he's a Carter and the world needs him .... He says he's too good for this hack promotion, and he's just here because he was paid a handsome sum to appear .... So now that he's graced everyone with his presence he is going to leave ....

This brings out his opponent for tonight, making his debut with XWA .... UHAA NATION!




Singles Match:  Uhaa Nation - vs - Ethan Carter III

There is a lot of buzz about Uhaa Nation signing with XWA .... He is built like Bobby Lashley but can fly like Adrian Neville .... Carter scoffs at Nation as he enters the ring, thinking it's going to be a cake walk .... However, what he gets is a full court press by this phenomenal athlete .... Nation has Carter off balance from the start, and even the little bit of offense he gets doesn't last long .... Uhaa shows off his power by hitting a triple powerbomb he calls the 'All Out Assault' .... Nation then finished off Carter with the 'Uhaa Combo' (gorilla press drop + standing moonsault + standing shooting star press) for the win in under 5 minutes ....

Renee and Josh put over the impressive debut of Uhaa Nation ....

Adam Cole - vs - 'The Project' Tomasso Ciampa

Ciampa is the aggressor here and attacks Cole at the bell but Cole battles back .... Ciampa sent outside and Cole wipes him out with a dive, but Ciampa would go on to hit a back Suplex onto Cole on the guardrail .... Ciampa pulls back the mats outside the ring and suplexes Cole on them .... Cole catches Ciampa charging in with a kick to the knee, then a shining wizard for a 2 count .... Cole goes for the Florida Key, but Ciampa reverses into a Burning Hammer for a 2 count .... Ciampa with mounted punches in the corner, but Cole slips out from underneath and hits a super kick to Ciampas knee .... Cole locks in a figure four around the ring post on Ciampa!  Cole works the leg pretty hard, but Ciampa reverses a figure four and puts the pressure on Cole .... Ciampa would come back and hit the Project Ciampa, but in the process hurts his own knee!  Ciampa gets up, but his leg gives out .... Cole nails a super kick to Ciampa then locks on the figure four again .... Ciampa struggles to get loose, but Cole starts nailing him with kicks to the face while he is still locked in the figure four!  Ciampa quits responding, and the ref calls for the bell and stops the match .... Adam Cole is moving on to the finals ....

'Mr. Wrestling' Kevin Steen - vs - 'Innovator of Violence' Tommy Dreamer

This is two friends doing battle to see who will face Cole in the finals .... They shake hands to start the match, then start kicking the crap out of each other!  They hold nothing back, and the action goes all over the place, even outside the ring .... Steen takes control and crotches Dreamer on the guardrail, but dreamer retaliates by back-dropping Steen on the concrete floor!  Dreamer tosses Steen back in and follows him in but Steen catches him in the ropes and hits a rope-hung DDT .... Steen stomps Dreamer in the corner and then hits the rolling cannonball .... Dreamer battles back with a DDT for a close 2 .... Steen plants Dreamer with the F-5, then goes up top for the Swanton Bomb but it meets the knees of Dreamer!  Dreamer scoops him up and drills him with the Spicolli Driver but only gets 2.99999!  Dreamer to the top, but Steen catches him and hits a super-plex!  They are slow to get up, and Steen pulls Dreamer up but he is limp .... Steen hesitates for a split second in going for the kill, allowing Dreamer to roll him up for the quick pin!  Dreamer advances ....


After the match, Steen is in disbelief .... Dreamer offers a handshake, and Steen takes it and they leave together .... Once on the outside of the ring however, Steen turns on Dreamer and slams him onto the concrete floor on the back of his head!!!!  Steen picks Dreamer up and hits the powerbomb onto the ring apron!!!!  Paul Heyman comes out and gets in Steens face and yells at him, but Steen just walks on by without even looking at him .... Dreamer does a stretcher job out of the arena ....

Tag Team Grudge Match:  ReDragon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reiley) - vs - The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor)

This one has been brewing for a while now, with both teams thinking they are the best tag team in XWA .... ReDragon try to stick and move early on to avoid the power advantage of the Ascension .... They can't keep it up long, and the Ascension pummels them with power moves .... ReDragon manage to isolate Viktor, the smaller of the 2, and take over on him .... Viktor eventually gets the hot tag to Konnor, and he hits the ring a house of fire .... Konnor is a one man wrecking crew and the Ascension are back in control .... They set up for the 'Fall of Man' on Fish but there is a ref bump .... O'Reiley brings a chair in the ring and takes out Konnor, then ReDragon hit their 'Chasing the Dragon' finisher, assisted with the chair, on Viktor!  Fish gets rid of the evidence, then holds Konnor at bay while O'Reiley gets the pin for the 3 count!

XWA CUP FINALS



Due to Dreamers injury earlier at the hands of Kevin Steen, this match is in doubt .... Adam Cole comes out and says he has beaten the best in XWA, but Tommy Dreamer is too broken down to make it to the finals .... He wants Paul Heyman to come out and hand over 'his' XWA title!  

'MAN IN THE BOX' hits and the fans go nuts as out comes Dreamer wearing a neckbrace!  Dreamer is trying to get to the ring, but he is being held back by Paul Heyman and other XWA officials .... Cole demands that Dreamer be the one to hand over his title because Dreamer is a broken down old man and Adam Cole is the best wrestler in the world .... Past, present or future!  

Cole keeps taunting Dreamer until Dreamer finally breaks free .... He rips off the neckbrace and yells 'RING THE FUCKING BELL!!!!'


Adam Cole - vs - 'Innovator of Violence' Tommy Dreamer

Dreamers neck might as well have a big bullseye painted on it and that's the first thing that Adam Cole goes after .... Dreamer battles back and gets a little bit of offense, but Cole stops all of that with a Canadian destroyer!  Cole keeps yelling at Dreamer to quit, but Dreamer won't .... Cole picks him up and hits a brainbuster onto his own knee!  Cole covers, but Dreamer kicks out again!  Cole goes for the Florida Key, but Dreamer elbows out of it and piledrives Cole!  Dreamer goes for the Spicolli Driver, but Cole elbows Dreamer in the neck to break the hold .... SUPERKICK to the back of Dreamers head by Cole!  He hooks him and nails the Florida Key!  1 ... 2 ... 3!!!!  Adam Cole has won the XWA cup, and thus is the new XWA champion!!!!  




Heyman comes in and reluctantly hands over the title to Adam Cole, who snatches it out of his hands and celebrates with it .... More trainers come from the back to check on Dreamer and he has to be helped to the back again ....
