A video is shown of the Life and career of Roberto Clemente Jr. Not just a hall of fame Ballplayer but a humanitarian. We learn that today is the 43rd Anniversary of his 3,000th hit which would be his last regular season one of his career.
1. Prince Puma vs Son of Havoc w/Stephen James
(Stephen cuts a promo before the match on the Puerto Rican crowd saying Roberto Clemente was a great player but he wasn't a number 1 overall draft pick like himself. SoA takes most of this match after hitting a handspring somersault plancha to the outside but Puma finally rallies. Hits a Copter Bomb. Then the 630 Senton Splash to get the win.)

2. The S.A.T. vs Thug Nation (ACH, AR Fox & Jon Davis)
This is a wild match with both teams taking turns on offense. Double flipping Legdrops by the Maxinos on Fox leads to 2 count. Exploder Suplex by Davis on Joel. ACH is caught with Seeing Red (Hip toss transitioned into a full nelson facebuster) courtesy of Amazing Red. But Red is then hit with the Pounce by Jon Davis. The Blow sends him to the outside. AR Fox quickly hits Suicide Dive out on him. In the Ring Davis eats a Double Superkick from Los Maximos. It knocks him into the turnbuckle. They look for Spanish Fly but ACH hits a Springboard Super Sunset Bomb on Jose. Then Davis hits a Super Chokeslam on Joel. Both men cover. 1.. 2.. Joel kicks out as Red dives in through the ropes and breaks uo the pin attempt on Jose.
Red gets turned inside out by a Davis Lariat. Tilt a Whirl DDT by Jose on Fox. 1.. 2.. No! Bodyslam by ACH on Red. He goes for a Standing Moonsault but Red gets his knees up.. Red then dropkicks ACH thru the ropes. Joel hits Davis with an Atomic Drop followed by a Flying Bulldog from Jose. Double Flapjack then on Fox. Amazing signals for the Infrared but as he climbs the ropes he is smacked in the back by a chair held by ACH. He falls to the apron and then the floor. ACH tosses the chair to AR Fox who who uses it on Jose. The crowd is booing loudly. Fox turns to Joel but gets the chaired Superkicked into his face! ACH runs in at him but he gets hit with a Tilt A Whirl Backbreaker. The crowd is loving it. He turns and gets laid out by a Lariat from Davis. he kicks the chair to the center of the ring... Beast Bomb on the Chair! (Backbreaker rack dropped into a powerbomb) He covers 1.. 2..3!)

3. Kimber Bombs vs The Hotties 2.0 vs Las Espinas
All 3 teams agree to battle this out in Texas Tornado rules. And its a Tornado all right. The 3 teams have no love lost for each other. Las Espinas are clearly the crowd favorites here as they hail from Puerto Rico. LoVE early on hits a DDT on Cherry Bomb but La Rosa Negra breaks up the cover. Mandy looked for a Sliced Bread #2 on Kimber Lee but she couters and sends Mandy to the floor where she landed awkwardly and may have injured her ankle.
In the ring Rosita hits Cherry Bomb with an Arm Drag and then goes for an elbow lock submission but Cherry gets to the ropes. LoVE goes for a High Cross Body at La Rosa Negra but she ducks and LoVE lands hard. Kimber however hits a bridging German on Negra for a 2 count. Mandy is still down on the outside and is being looked at. LoVE catches Lee with Love Sick. Rosita then hits LoVE with a Tornado DDT. She in turn is hit with Cherry Popper (Sitout facebuster). Cherry then is hit with a Missile Dropkick by Rosa Negra. She turns expecting to have someone behid her but she sees Mandy Leon still being tended to. She shrugs and smiles turns back and is nailed with a Sidewalk Slam by Kimber Lee. 1.. 2..
Moonsault connects by Rosita! She rolls her over. 1.. 2.. 3!)

4. Shinsuke Nakamura w/Black Lotus vs TNT
(Different style of fight here. Almost like a Kickboxing match at first. Naka hits a jumping elbow strike that staggers TT but he retalliates with a roundhouse kick that takes Nakamura down. TNT pounces and hits a Northern Lights Suplex for a near fall. Nakamura connects with an Axe Kick. Then begins driving knee strikes to the ribs of the downed opponent. Double Underhook Suplex with a float over by Nakamura but TNT kicks out before 3.
TNT backs off looking for his Superkick but Black Lotus distracts him. When he does try the kick Nakamura catches it and takes him down into a kneebar. TNT gets to the ropes. Nakamura stays on him hitting an inverted suplex. He goes for the Boma Ye but TNT blocks it. Then unleashes a series of chops to the chest. He whips Naka into the turnbuckle and charges with a Lariat.
But runs right ito a High Boma Ye! 1.. 2.. 3!)

5. Manny Fernandez vs Alberto Del Rio
(Ricardo Rodriguez makes a spectacular introduction in spanish that the fans of Puerto Rico loved even though ADR is Mexican. Manny is not one for all the hype and attacks Del Rio before the bell. Manny continues to pound away on Alberto as the bell rings. Fernandez is just laying big right hands to the head of ADR. Then from out of nowhere Alberto connects on a jumping enzuguiri. He follows with a Bulldog and now is fired up! He rams Manny's head into the turnbuckle 10 times as the fans count along in spanish.
Reverse Atomic Drop followed by a clothesline and Del Rio plays to the crowd. He sits Fernandez on the top rope. Then climbs up and hits an Inverted Superplex. He covers but Manny kicks out. Manny is on all fours. As Alberto goes for his Superkick. But Manny catches the leg and hits a Capture Suplex. The momentum carries ADR out the ring. Fernandez follows and rams Del Rio's back into the side of the ring. He stands him against the ring post and goes for a Lariat but ADR ducks and Manny hits the cold hard steel instead. ADR takes his arm and pulls it thru the bars of the steel railing and really torques it. Then kicks it as hard as he can. Fernandez drops to a knee in pain. Alberto rolls him in the ring. And hits a Double knee Armbreaker.
Fernandez in desperation eye gouges Del Rio. He hits the ropes... Flying Burrito! The impact sent a wave of pain to his injured elbow though. He is rolling in pain for a couple of moments. Then covers. 1.. 2.. NO! Del Rio kicks out! Fernandez goes for a lariat... but Alberto transitions into a Cross Arm Breaker. Fernandez is trying to make the ropes. But he can't. He also refuses to tap. But the pain is too much. He passes out.)

6. Saturyne vs Jennifer Blake - Street Fight
(Both women are well adept at high-Flyig offense but today ist about that. Saturyne realizes if she is going to be a player in the women's division she can't allow Blake to get away with punking her out. While Jennifer believes the way to make a statement is to find someone and take them out. That's how you build a reputation. Nevertheless this is what dario wanted, a fight. Saturyne is landing elbow shots to the head of Blake. She whips her face first into the buckle. Then dropkicks her in the back causing her to go face first into the buckle again. Blake is holdig her mouth like she lost a tooth. She rolls to the floor giving the "Time out" signal. But there are no time outs in professional wrestling. Saturyne hits the ropes and nails a Springboard Plancha. The crowd is loving it.
A fan hands her a cooking sheet. She looks surprised at first but then uses it over Jennifer's head. The crowd is chanting "Revancha" which means revenge. Jennifer is trying to escape she climbs to the apron but Saturyne is right after her She pulls her up but Blake kicks her in the gut and delivers a DDT on the apron! It was a sickening thud. Saturyne is laid out on the apron as Blake is wide-eyed for a moment. Then she starts to grin. She pulls Saturyne down and whips her into the railing. She wants the cookie sheet from earlier but the fan says no. She shoves him and snatches it anyway as the crowd boos. She swigs it like a tennis racket right to the face of Saturyne.
Dario has come out to the stage and is watching with a huge grin. Jessica sets up a table. Then goes back to Saturyne but she slams Blake's head on the railing. She looks to suplex her thru the table but Jennifer blocks it. Then counters into an Earth-Blake (Pumphandle half nelson driver) right on the floor. Blake rolls Saturyne on top of the table. Then she goes in the ring, climbs the ropes . She takes off into a Senton Splash!
But Saturyne rolled off the table! Blake crashes hard! The table is obliterated. We can see some blood on the back of Blake's back. Saturyne drags her up and shoves her under the ropes. She climbs the buckle poses to the approving crowd. Hits the Moonsault. 1.. 2.. 3!)

7. Hercules Ayala w/Chicky Starr vs Mil Mascaras - #1 Contenders Match
(During the introductions Mil warns Chicky to not get involved or else. Chicky looks shocked and appalled at such allegations. Hercules just stands there stoically staring a hole into Mascaras. The match starts off slow. Mil wants to make this a wrestling match. Ayala wants to utilize his power. Mascaras hits a few arm drags, then a hip toss and a dropkick and Ayala goes to the outside to regroup with Chicky. Ayala re-enters and lands a knee lift. Then a scoop slam. He drops an elbow then begins to try to wear down Mil with a Horozontal Bearhug.
Mil is able to slip his arm inside and pry himself free. But Hercules Press Slams him to the mat. Fist drop by Ayala. He covers for 2. Hercules whips him hard ito the buckle and follows in with a Clothesline. He whips him again to the other side. But Mil runs up the Ropes and does a Flying Body Press on Ayala. But Ayala rolls thru and has a handful of tights! 1.. 2..
Noooo! Mascaras kicks out. Mil starts nailing rapid fire kicks to to calf of Ayala. Then a spinning back kick to the gut. Exploder Suplex by MM. He covers for 2. Starr jumps up on the apron but Mil lands a big right hand knocking him off. Hercules slips behind him and does a Release German Suplex. But Mil lands on his feet! He goes for a Hurracanrana but Ayala counters into a Powerbomb. He pulls him up... Jackhammer! 1.. 2.. 3!)
Winner: Hercules Ayala
8. Fenix vs King Cuerno
(Back and forth this one goes. Both men unable slow the other down. Huracanrana by Fenix sends Cuerno to the outside. He hits a Corkscrew Plancha out on him. They take the war to the crowd. Fans are scattering. Cuerno uses a chair on Fenix. Cuerno goes to slam Fenix but he slips out the back and hits a Double Chickenwing Suplex. Now fenix throws a chair right into King Cuerno's face. They start to make their way back towards ringside but are still fighting the whole way.
Cuerno lands a few headbutts then a Sidewalk Slam on the walkway. He jumps into the ring. Poses. Then hits La Flecha de Infierno. The crowd is in awe of that spectacular dive. Cuerno leads Fenix back to the ring. He goes for The Thrill of the Hunt but feix flips free and nails a Pele kick. Then a Double Knee Facebuster. He follows that with La Garra del Fénix (Diving double knee drop to a seated opponent's chest). He covers 1.. 2.. NO!
He races back up for a Corkscrew Somersault Senton kown as the Fenix Splash. But misses! Cuerno hits a basement dropkick to the grill. Lifts him up... Thrill of the Hunt! 1.. 2.. 3!)

9. La Parka vs La Parka Blanco - Mask Match
(One La Parka, the one who manages the New Latino Nightmare comes out in a White Suit with black bones. The Origianal comes out in his original costume. Bell rings and they just stare at each other a bit. Each tilting their rspective heads trying to read the other. Then they just begin trading punches at a furious pace. Knee to the Solar Plexus by Parka Blanco. Bodyslam and Legdrop. He starts ramming his head into the canvas. La Parka is able to roll him over and now he is ramming his head ito the mat. La Parka Blanco is dizzy. La Parka drops a knee to the head then does his theatrics to the crowd's delight. He fires him into the ropes... Powerslam! Then he connects on a Flying Shoulder Tackle. He starts to climb the ropes but Parka Blanco shakes the ropes and he slips and crotches himself. Superplex by La Parka Blanco. He goes out and grabs a chair. Sets it up in the ring. Then drops La Parka gut first across the back rest portion. He covers 1.. 2.. No.
La Parka Blanco is really laying in boots and punches. Just beating the original down. The crowd is chanting "Parka" trying to will him on. Side Backbreaker by La Parka Blanco. He goes up top. Then raises his index finger, signalling the number 1. He goes for a Splash but La Parka gets his knees up. Parka Blanco is in trouble. Huched over holding his ribs. La Parka gets up grabs the chair. and starts playing a little air guitar with it as the fans are on their feet. he wallops Parka Blanco over the head with the chair and covers. 1.. 2.. 3!)
Winner: The Original La Parka
(Parka goes behind and unties the mask and pulls it off as the fans hold their collective breaths. It's... It's...
STEPHEN "FN" JAMES???????
Everyone is scratching their head some fans begin to boo. Then on the Stadium screen we see another La Parka this one with a Red themed costume.
(He says in spanish that he didn't think it would be that easy did he? If he decides to reveal himself it will be when he thinks its the time to do so. Fans are really pissed and booing.)
Main Event: Pedro Morales vs Carlos Colon - Steel Cage Match - CWX Universal Championship
(Before the match a video is shown on the Stadium Screen. Its a tribute to the career of Carlos Colon. When it ends Marc Anthony's Precioso begins to play as the entire stadium gives a standing ovation to thier hero, Carlos Colon. He is accompanied by his sons, Carlito & Eddie. Imagine the sound of an entire stadium cheering for the most popular man to ever lace up boots on the island. Its amazing.
Out then comes the champion, Pedro Morales. Although he is also Island born from this very town. He is booed unmercifully. Pedro looks out at what is supposed to be his people and has a look of disgust. He steps into the cage and holds up the Universal Championship to a round of boos. Fans are chanting "Culeo" Which translates to "Asshole".
Pedro is scoffing at Carlos. Telling him he can leave now and avoid this. But Carlos is a proud man and tells him let's go. The match starts off fairly clean. Pedro hits a hip toss. Then after a tie up he scoop slams him to the mat. He musses Carlos' hair in an act of disrespect. They tie up again but Carlos arm drags him twice then a hip toss. A Bodyslam follows and a Dropkick for good measure. Carlos then musses the hair of Morales which gets a pop from the crowd. Pedro is furious. He starts to turn this into a fight. Throwing big Left hooks to the head and body. Carlos is fighting back with some haymakers himself. Colon starts to batter Pedro with punches. He hits the ropes for a High Cross Body but Morales catches him and lawn darts him right into the cage. He does it again. Then starts raking his face against the metal mesh.
Carlos is bleeding now and the cut is a bullseye for more solid left hand puches. Running Powerslam by Morales which leads to a 2 count. He looks to send him back in to the cage but Carlos blocks it and sends Pedro in. Carlos grabs the champ and sends him flying again into the cage as the crowd is on their feet. Colon pulls him up points to the cage as the fans cheer and there he goes again. A bloody Carlos is shaking his fists.He pulls down his shoulder strap. Then starts landing big right hand smashes to Pedro. Carlos begins to bite the forehead of Pedro as the crowds is going crazy.
Pedro is now bleeding as well Carlos with a series of piston like punches. He looks at his blood covered fist and holds it up to the crowd. ow Carlos begins to work on the legs of Morales. After softening them up he puts on the Figure Four Leglock. The entire stadium is going crazy pullig for Morales to tap. But he is able to turn over and Carlos breaks the hold. Colon loks to climb the rpes but he is caught by Pedro and slammed to the mat. He whips him into the buckle. Then delivers a Superplex. He hits the Atomic Backbreaker and covers 1.. 2.. NOOOOOO!!!!! Carlos remains alive in the match.
Pedro calls for the Boston Crab. He goes to apply it but Carlos is able to grab his leg and roll him up. 1.. 2.. no! The fans groan at that. The battle of two blood soaked warriors continues. Belly to Belly Suplex by Morales and he goes right into the Boston Crab. The fans are holding their breath. Hoping that Carlos can escape. He gets to the ropes but Pedro doesn't release and there is nothing the referee can do. Carlos though uses the ropes to pull himself up he grabs the cage and tries to climb up. Finally Morales has to relinquish the hold. Carlos is between the ropes and cage. Pedro hits the ropes and goes for a running knee. But Carlos moves out the way and Pedro's knee hits the fence. Colon quickly enters and puts on a Half Crab on the champ. Pedro is in serious danger here. He is able to grab Colon's ankle and escape. Both men slowly rise they each hit the ropes and nail simultaneous clotheslines.
Both men are down. They slowly begin to stir. Pedro is up first he grabs Carlos for another Atomic Backbreaker but Colon rolls him up into a small cradle! The stadium counts along Uno... Dos...
NOOOOOO!!! They can't believe it. Carlos charges Morales but he catches him like a Flapjack move but sends him over his head into the cage once more. Atomic Backbreaker again. Powerbomb. Covers... Colon kicks out at 1 as the crowd goes crazy. Morales hits a big southpaw smash to the gut. Gutwrench Powerbomb! 1.. 2.. 3!)
Winner: Pedro Morales
(After the match both men are laid out in the ring a while. Pedro lifts his title high in the air. He leaves to mostly boos but a few cheers for the incredible match. Carlito & Eddie help their dad up. And he gets a standing ovation from everyone in the stadium. As he slowly makes his way out the cage and thru the crowd.) | |
