Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan are ringside to welcome everyone to FIGHTLAND …. They hype up tonight’s BIG main event as Will Ospreay cashes in his High Stakes briefcase for a shot at Adam Cole’s MLW title …. Show begins with shocking arrival of UWF Intercontinental Champion …. TETSUYA NAITO!!!! The fans are shocked to see the Intercontinental Champion …. Naito enters the ring and calls MLW’s ‘numbah 1 Japanese announcer’, Funaki, into the ring to interview him. He speaks in Japanese and there are subtitles on the screen …. Funaki is surprised that Naito is here because last week Samoa Joe said that he was flying back to Japan to look for Naito this week ….Naito says this is the 2nd time he has come to the US looking for Joe, although no one actually saw him here last week …. Naito says trust me I was here …. Naito says what a waste and if Joe isn’t man enough to be here then Naito is leaving …. He will send Donald Trump a bill for his travel as well as compensation for his time ….Naito goes to leave, BUT SAMOA JOE’S music hits!!!! JOE IS HERE!!!! Naito looks like he has seen a ghost!!!! Joe isn’t supposed to be here! Joe comes stalking out to the ring and we get a staredown, as the crowd chants ‘JOE’s GONNA KILL YOU!’ Naito throws his hands up and tries to leave, but Joe catches him! Joe hammers Naito down in the corner with right hands and chops, but Naito resorts to raking the eyes to get free! Naito tries to hit Joe with the Intercontinental title, but Joe ducks! Joe gets the Coquina Clutch on Naito and takes him down to the mat! NAITO IS TAPPING!!!! Joe has just tapped out the Intercontinental Champion!!!! Joe keeps the choke locked on for a few seconds before letting go, and he picks up the Intercontinental title and holds it up …. Joe drops the IC title on Naito’s chest and then points to the Wrestlemania sign!!!! This is a solid matchup with 4 guys who can really go …. The announcers talk about how Ciampa, Johnny & Candice are supposed to face Southern Fried Homicide & Mickie James in a 6 person tag, and that match will happen on the Road to Wrestlemania …. Johnny & Ciampa have taken an interest in getting the MLW tag team titles back in recent weeks …. The action in this one is fast-paced …. Ciampa breaks up a Street Sweeper attempt by Santana & Ortiz, then takes Ortiz out with Project Ciampa. One final beat by Johnny to Santana, and then they finish Santana off with ‘Meet in the Middle’ for the 3 count! …. POST MATCH: Johnny takes the mic and they call out Redragon …. They want their rematch for the MLW tag team titles that they never got, and they are going to get their belts back. Ciampa takes the mic and tells Southern Fried Homicide that they haven’t forgotten about them either! They stopped coming to MLW because they know that he and Johnny should be the world tag team champs right now …. If they don’t want to come back to MLW, that’s fine because they will come to them! He says that they want to face Storm & Grimes at Wrestlemania for the titles! <center><p style="border:3px;border-style:solid;border-color:#FFFF00;padding:1em;"> PROMO – We get dueling comments from Hook and Solo Sikoa, who have had issues over the last several weeks …. Nothing has been settled between these two, and they will have their anticipated rematch at FIGHTLAND #7 ….</p></center> BECKY LYNCH vs. ZOEY STARK
Becky is aggressive here and this is pretty much a squash match. Stark gets in a little bit of offense, but Becky stops all that with a manhandle slam (Rock Bottom). Becky traps Stark in the Disarm-HER for the tapout win …. POST MATCH: Becky snaps a little and locks on the Disarm-HER again and wont let go …. This leads to the ref reversing the decision! This infuriates Becky even more and she goes outside and gets a chair …. She puts Stark’s arm inside the chair and is going to smash it with another chair, but Lacey Evans comes out for the save and Becky bails out …. <center><p style="border:3px;border-style:solid;border-color:#FFFF00;padding:1em;"> VIGNETTE –
We get a vignette for the newest addition to the MLW roster, NIKKITA LYONS … She says the phrase ‘A Jack of all trades, but a master of none’ doesn’t apply to her. She has a background as a singer, dancer, model, actress, and a fitness coach. But she can also kick ass …. She has a background in MMA and a black belt in Tae Kwando …. She got into fighting as a way to protect herself while she was on the road performing, but then she realized that she liked the fighting more than the performing …. She tells MLW that they better be ready for this ‘Lioness’ Roar’ ….

(Champion) ADAM COLE vs. WILL OSPREAY Feeling out process as neither man wants to give up the upper hand …. Cole grabs a headlock and yells at Ospreay “YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL!” …. Cole sends Ospreay to the mat and does the ‘ADAM COLE BAY BAY’ but then runs into a big dropkick from Ospreay …. Ospreay gets going and quickens the pace, and when he is moving at full speed no one can match him …. Ospreay to the 2nd rope but Cole dumps him all the way to the floor, then whips him into the barricade …. Cole with the Ushigoroshi (fireman’s carry neckbreaker), but Ospreay lands on his feet and scores with a back elbow, then a forward roll into a dropkick to take Cole out …. Ospreay with a corkscrew Sasuke Special to the floor wipes out Cole! Rogan says that Ospreay is the ‘Human cheat code’ …. Ospreay with chops, but Cole counters the Os-cutter into a backstabber! 1 … 2 … 2 count! Cole sits Ospreay on the top, but Ospreay slips out and traps Cole’s head against the turnbuckle …. CHEEKY NANDOS SUPERKICK! Ospreay follows that up with a running Liger Bomb! 1 … 2 … Nooooo! Cole kicks out!!!! Ospreay tries a springboard moonsault, but COLE COUNTERS WITH A SUPERKICK THAT KNOCKS OSPREAY OUT OF MIDAIR!
1 … 2 … 2.99999! Both men are down now as the crowd is chanting ‘THIS IS AWESOME!’ Both guys to their knees and they start trading strikes …. They fight all the way to their feet, and Cole with a step up enziguri, but Ospreay counters with a kick of his own, pump kick by Cole, but Ospreay with a pump kick! Superkick by Cole! Both men fall but Cole falls on top of Ospreay! 1 … 2 … NOOOOO! Holy Shit! Cole pulls down the knee pad and goes for the BOOM, but Ospreay ducks at the last second! Ospreay catches Cole coming in and hits a standing Spanish Fly!!!! Every move Cole makes Ospreay is a step ahead! Ospreay goes to the apron for Pip Pip Cherio (phenomenal forearm), but Cole pushes the ref into the ropes, causing Ospreay to fall stomach-first on the top rope! The ref argues with Cole, who dares him to disqualify him because he knows he will keep the title that way! Cole sits Ospreay on the top rope and busts out the top rope huricanrana! BUT OSPREAY LANDS ON HIS FEET!!!! Ospreay is on another level as he just stands there with his back to Cole as the camera focuses on Cole’s shocked face! Ospreay just slowly turns to look at Cole over his shoulder like a bad ass ….
Cole charges, but eats a hook kick, then a V Trigger! Ospreay sets …. HIDDEN BLADE!!!! Cole is done at this point, but Ospreay hauls him up for Stormbreaker!!!! 1 … 2 … NOOOOOO! COLE JUST KICKED OUT OF STORMBREAKER!!!! Ospreay goes up top, BUT THE 630 MEETS THE KNEES OF COLE! Cole with a barrage of superkicks knock Ospreay down, then Cole hits the ropes and nails the BOOM! 1 … OSPREAY KICKS OUT AT 1!!!! Ospreay to his knees and flips off Cole, but Cole KILLS him with a superkick! Cole to the 2nd rope for the Panama Sunrise ….
BUT ROMAN REIGNS’ MUSIC HITS!!!!
REIGNS COMES OUT ON THE APRON AND STARES DOWN COLE!!!! Cole is distracted, and he steps out onto the apron and dares Reigns to come to the ring! Ospreay is up …. HE JUMPS OVER THE TOP AND HITS A HURICANRANA TO COLE OFF THE APRON TO THE FLOOR!!!! HOLY SHIT! Ospreay tosses Cole back into the ring and loads up …. HIDDEN BLADE CONNECTS!!!!

Ospreay to the top …. 630 splash!!!! Ospreay covers …. 1 … 2 … 3!!!! ….   WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION!!!! On the ramp, Roman Reigns just smirks and then leaves, while in the ring Will Ospreay is handed the MLW title …. What a war these two have just gone through, and the fans are chanting “MATCH OF THE YEAR!” Both men are tended to by trainers as Ospreay finally rises to his feet and holds up the MLW title to end the show …. | |
