As a matter of fact, The Rock has the Christmas spirit too! And if it's OK with you, I'm gonna play Kingston a special song I wrote...... just for him!" The people cheer as Rocky grabs his guitar and has a seat!
The Rock: "On a night Kingston faces the Great One..... this is what he'll see...... 12 Sharpshootets stinging...... eleven eyebrows raising...... ten spines a busting..... nine noggin knockin...... eight kicks a kicking...... seven punches punching...... six suplex smashing...... FIVE SECONDS OF THE PEOPLE CHANTING THE ROCKS NAME!!" Audience: "ROCKY! ROCKY! ROCKY!" The Rock: "Four Rock Bottoms..... three peoples elbows...... on your two buck teeth and AN ASS KICKING ALL OVER ATLANNNNNNNNTA!" Tony Schiavone: "Ladies and Gentlemen...... there's only Rocky Maivia! And he has this place rocking as he will defend his National title later on against Eddie Kingston. A guy who is in a very foul mood as of late!" David Crockett: "As of late? Have you ever seen the guy in a good mood?" Tony Schiavone: "Good call David! Fans, are you ready for some wrestling action? Let's get you up to the ring!" IWA X Division Guantlet Match: Eddie Guerrero vs Sammy Guevara Guerrero eventually gets the advantage with some shots to the back and both men start exchanging holds on the mat. Sammy grabs the advantage with some shots to the head and works him into the corner. Guerrero reverses course and gets Sammy in the corner, but it’s short-lived and he is taken down with a kick to the head. He follows that up with a suplex and does the 10-punch count to the head. Sammy grabs a waist lock and hits a big powerbomb after Guerrero comes off the ropes with an attempted Hurricanrana. He puts Guerrero down again with a slam for a near fall. They wrestle on the mat before getting back to their feet and Guevara takes him down again with a powerslam. Guerrero gets fired up and challenges Sammy to keep hitting him. Guerrero scurries to the outside as Guevara tries to grab him. Guerrero jumps back in the ring and takes out the knee of Guevara and follows that up with an uppercut. He continues to pound on Sammy in the corner and gets him down to a knee. Sammy tries to fight back, but Guerrero gets a thumb to the eye. He hits a dropkick to the head. He tries a suplex, but Guevara reverses it and drops him on the ropes. Guevara hits a clothesline and covers him for a two-count. He snaps Guerrero over and starts working on the head and neck area. They get back to their feet, and Guerrero is taken down again with a big move. Guerrero begs Guevara to hold off of him, but he is met with a dropkick instead. Guerrero rolls to the outside to regroup before climbing back in and both men square off. They have a test of strength in the ring with Guerrero being taken down to his knees and Sammy hitting him with a dropkick. Guerrero gets pissed and charges Guevara into the corner. It’s short-lived again as Sammy tosses him from the top rope and hits a suplex for a two-count. Guevara tries to suplex him again, but Guerrero slides off his back and drops him across the top. Guerrero uses the ropes to work on the head and leg area of Guevara on the outside. Guerrero starts wrapping his leg around the post and uses the steel steps to dropkick Guevara leg again. Guerrero works on the leg some more and continues to keep Sammy grounded. He hits a big powerbomb and gets a two-count. Guerrero jumps up on the shoulders of Guevara, but he gets dropped down and Sammy grabs a near fall. Guevara maintains control and hits a backbreaker. He grabs Guerrero by the hair and slams him down into the corner. Guerrero reverses an Irish Whip and sends Sammy into the opposite corner. Guerrero climbs to the top, but Guevara is going up right after him. They tussle on the top and both men come crashing down to the mat. Guevara rolls him up quickly and gets another near fall. He picks Guerrero up and puts him down with a big Powerbomb. He goes for Cloverleaf, but Guerrero fights him off. He sends him to the outside and Guerrero comes off the top with a dropkick to the knee. He comes off the other turnbuckle with a Frog Splash and covers him for the win!
Tony Schiavone: "That's Eddie Guerreros third victory thus far in the guantlet run! And the man is looking very good! Can he run the entire Guantlet all the way to MJF on Christmas Eve?: Match Two: Sting Vs Jacob Fatu Sting took the time to get some encouragement from a fan. Sting had to rally through the pain while avoiding a running Jacob Fatu. The fans were thoroughly enjoying Sting taking the fight to Fatu on the floor. Grabbing the trashcan he brought to the ring, Fatu tried to knock Sting down, but ended up feeling a suplex onto the trashcan. The trashcan was getting all kinds of bent out of shape as Sting slammed, filled and splashed the objected with Fatu stuffed inside. Sting, looking to pick up the pace, ended up taking a low blow that left the champ understandably rolling in agony. Irish whip against the turnbuckles set up a Fatu bulldog. The fans believed in Sting, but Fatu had the opportunity to use objects like a steel chair (that a random fan refused to give up until security got involved) to rattle Sting’s spine. The action returned inside and Fatu found himself still in control as he took the time to wear out the WCW champ being cheered on by a rowdy crowd. The flying headbutt-leg drop combo by Fatu once again had the fans chanting in Sting’s favor. Sting, for the life of him, just couldn’t get the comeback going; feeling a double arm DDT that Fatu believed would put his opposition down for the count. Back dropping his way out of another DDT, Sting propelled Fatu to ringside for not only some mounted punches, but also a suplex on the floor!
The Stinger Splash in the ring missed; allowing Fatu to execute a hotshot that drove the wind out of Sting and put him on the floor yet again. Taking Sting to the aisle, Fatu wanted to unleash that flying elbow off the apron. With pinpoint accuracy, Fatu drilled Sting with elbow drop. Fatu decided he needed to hear Sting say, “I quit.” Sting verbally refused; angering Fatu to the point he grabbed another chair. Sting avoided the wild chair shot, causing the chair to ricochet off the nearby ropes. Staggered, Fatu found himself prone to a dropkick that knocked him from the apron onto the floor! Barely able to move, Fatu couldn’t stop the Scorpion Deathlock and has to tap out! Sting is your winner! As the replay is shown, Sting takes the housemic......
Sting: "DiBiase..... I hope your watching! I told you that Taker and I would go through the Islanders..... and we did! I told you I would go through your hitman here, Fatu! And I did! And all that's left is my last promise...... and that's taking that IWA World title off you at Wrestle Kingdom! And as I've proven..... I don't break my promises! OWWWWWWWW!" Match Three: Alexa Bliss vs Rosemary vs Ruby Soho Rosemary shoves Bliss and turns into a throat punch from Soho. Bliss then dropkicks Rosemary out of the ring. Soho and Bliss stare at each other. Soho quickly picks the leg and goes for the Destination Unknown but Bliss gets out. Soho covers Bliss for a two-count. They trade pins before Soho kicks her in the face. Soho then hits Rosemary with a baseball slide. Bliss grabs Soho for a neckbreaker but Soho gets out. Soho goes for the Slam, but Bliss gets out and rolls her up for a two-count. Bliss takes Soho down and hits the double knees. Rosemary runs in and slams Bliss onto Soho. Rosemary goes back and forth with avalanches on Bliss and Soho. Ruby fights back and attacks Rosemary and takes her out. Bliss strikes Soho down and dropkicks her. Ruby avoids the double knees. Bliss puts Soho on the apron, and Soho takes her down. Rosemary pulls Soho off the apron and bounces her face off it a few times. Rosemary then whips her into the steps. Bliss leaps off the steps for a DDT, but Rosemary counters into a neckbreaker on the floor. Rosemary clears off the commentary table then womanhandling Bliss and applying a chin lock. Rosemary takes Bliss down and applies a straightjacket submission. Bliss fights up, but Rosemary hits a neckbreaker.
Soho takes Rosemary down and unloads on her with strikes. Bliss blocks a kick and takes her down before hitting a bulldog. Bliss puts Rosemary in the corner and takes her down. Soho goes to the top rope and hits a diving leg drop for a two-count
Soho talks trash to Rosemary and goes for a Slam, but Rosemary fights it. Soho hits Rosemary with a exploder. Bliss runs in, but Soho attacks. Rosemary grabs the ankle of Soho, and Bliss knocks Ruby into the ring post. Bliss takes out Soho and Rosemary with a cannonball off the apron. Bliss gets Rosemary in the ring for a two-count. Bliss slaps the mat in frustration. Bliss sets Rosemary up and steps on her. Bliss goes to the top rope. Soho grabs her, but Bliss kicks her away. Rosemary cuts Bliss off and goes for a superplex. Soho runs up and powerbomb Rosemary as she gives Bliss a superplex. Soho covers Cross for a near fall.
Ruby gets to her feet and gets into a strike exchange with Rosemary. Ruby puts Rosemary on the apron, but Rosemary knocks her back. Rosemary goes to the top rope and hits a diving cross-body block on Soho. 1......2...... Bliss runs in and breaks up the pin. Rosemary powers Bliss to the corner and shoulders away at her. Rosemary avalanches her and hits a bulldog. Bliss pulls Rosemary out of the ring. Bliss hits a forearm to the face. Rosemary then hits a cross-body block into the apron. Rosemary gets in the ring and pulls Bliss to the apron. Bliss fights her off, but Rosemary cuts her off. Rosemary holds Bliss up and Soho hits Bliss with a double leg drop for a near fall.
Soho gets on the apron and goes for a suplex on Rosemary but Rosemary holds the ropes. Rosemary knees her and goes for a powerbomb on the apron, but Soho blocks it. Ruby rolls Cross into the ring. IWA Women’s Champion,, Britt Baker runs in through the crowd and pulls Bliss out of the ring. She attacks Bliss and powerbomb her through the commentary table!
In the ring, Soho hits Destination Unknown on Rosemary for the victory!
As Ruby takes her leave, Baker has the housemic and kneels over Bliss........
Britt Baker: "At Thanksgiving Throwdown you was the luckiest woman on the entire earth, by winning a match you don't deserve! And since that time, you have not mentioned my name one single time! Allow me to introduce myself..... I'm the face if the damned Womens division! And for the last year I have gave my blood and tears so women like you can even have a job! And you disrespect me? This is what happens. Look at you! Feel that pain running through your body? That's nothing compared to what I will do to you at Wrestle Kingdom!" Layla El: "Hey guys, I'm backstage and I'm about to try to get a word with Manny Fernandez before his match tonight, to see if we can get to the bottom of all these bounty rumors!" Layla knocks in Mannys dressing room door and after a few seconds, the world tv champ opens the door.....
Layla: "Manny, we know you have a big title defense later in the show, but we are trying to shine some light on the bounty situation with Eddie Kingston, and what appears to be you paying Stokely Hathaway and Lance Archer just days ago?" Manny Fernandez: "Listen little lady, I'm only gonna say this once..... my phones been blowing up with phone calls and text messages from people asking me what's going on. And I'm gonna tell you.....all the people at home...... and anybody else buying into this crap..... I don't know nothing about no bounty! I didn't give any money to Stokely and Archer! I wasn't even in Philadelphia that night. And as far as Eddie Kingston goes..... if he has any questions or problems with me.....come to me like a man and we will handle that the way it needs to be handled!" Manny enters his dressing room and slams the door!
Match Four: The Rock vs Eddie Kingston for the Heritage title Kingston wastes no time in jumping The Rock, massive chops to The Rock. Rock counters Kingston, right hands and chops by The Great One, clothesline by Rock. Rock drops Kingston with a neckbreaker, Rock measures for an early Rock Bottom, Kingston counters the Rock Bottom but is sent tumbling to the floor. Rock rams Kingston head into the announce table and spits water in his face. Kingston stops Rock’s momentum with a knee to the ribs, Rock is sent into the barricade and announce table.
Rock and Kingston trade blows on the floor, Rock knocks down Kingston. Rock clotheslines Kingston out to the floor, both men work their way up the ramp. Chops by The Rock, Rock suplexes Kingston onto the steel at the top of the entrance wat, Rock counters a piledriver and drops Kingston onto the steel a second time with a back body drop.
Kingston whips Rock into the ring apron but Rock fires back with a clothesline. Kingston counters Rock and catapults him into the ringpost. Scoop slam on the floor by Kingston. He has Rock in the ring and stomps all over the champ. Kingston chokes Rock using the ropes. Kingston drills Rock with a clothesline. Rock goes for the school boy but Kongston kicks out, clothesline and vicious right hands by Kingston.
Kingston has Rock on the announce table, and is looking for the piledriver, Rock nails the low blow for the counter. Despite the low blow, Rock is dropped across the announce table. Kingston chokes Rock with the camera cable. Kingston drops Rock ribs first onto the announce table with a suplex, Rock clutches the knee. Rock rolls into the ring but Kingston continues to stomp The Rock. Kingston and the referee have words which allows Rock to fire up but Kingston knocks down Rock with a Lou Thesz Press and nails an elbow drop.
Cover and a two count for Kingston, chop-block by Kingston. Rock scores with a Lou Thesz Presss on Kingston and an elbow drop for good measure, cover and a two count. Rock is caught in the sleeper, Rock fights out but finds himself on the receiving end of a spinebuster. Kingsron locks in a Boston crab on The Rock. Kingston continues to drag The Rock closer to the centre of the ring. Kingston stomps all over The Rock while threatening the referee, Rock finds it within himself to fight back, double clothesline in the middle of the ring.
Both men begin a slugfest. Rock has control, leaping clothesline and an overhead belly to belly suplex for a two count. Referee bump as Rock accidently clotheslines Earl Hebnar. Spinning backfist is blocked and Rock nails a spinebuster and a sharpshooter. Kingston drops Rock and locks in a sharpshooter. Rock uses his leg strength to counter the hold and use it on Kingston.
Manny Fernandez makes his way towards the ringsidecarea, but several security members cut him off before he can get to the ring. Rock is on his feet and sees Manny, and now he becomes offended and tells Manny to "BRING IT!"
Kingston tries leaving the ring to go after Fernandez but Rocky stops him and spins hom around into....... A ROCK BOTTOM to retain his championship! Rock looks out to Manny, where security is escorting him back to the dressing room.
Tony Schiavone: "MY Lord! Tensions are rising between these three men and we aren't even halfway through this tour! Something tells me we haven't heard the last of these guys!" Match Five: Steve Williams and Terry Gordy vs Zambui Express for the IWA World tag titles Kareem Muhammed and Gordy start out trying to overpower the other, but neither makes much headway. Then Doc comes in and press slams Gordy onto Muhammed! Elijah Akeem and Williams seem to be the focal point here as they call each other out at every turn. You can feel the mutual disdain each man has for the other. Williams calls for a test of strength and kicks Akeem in the balls while he’s looking up at Williams’ hands. Akeem responds with a super stiff lariat and rides Williams down to the mat. Little by little, the MVC begins to wear down Akeem until he’s too tired to fight back and then they go to work on Muhammed. Then after a few minutes all hell breaks loose and all four men batgle it out. Akeem sends Doc into the turnbuckles and Muhammed flies in with a huge splash that sends Doc out if the ring. The ending comes as the Zambui double team Gordy. Double suplex to Gordy and Akeem climbs the turnbuckles for a splash. As Akeem flies off. Doc reaches in and grabs Gordys arms, pulling him out of the way and Akeem crashes to the mat! Muhammed and Doc begin brawling now. That leaves Akeem alone with Terry Gordy. Gordy finishes Akeem with a piledriver to retain the titles!
Tony Schiavone: "How impressive are the world tag team champions? But the one thing that really gets me is how versatile they really are! As we just seen here, if you want to brawl they will fight you. Or perhaps they go 45 minutes with a team like Strike Force! I'm really looking forward to their title defense at Wrestle Kingdom against The Sheepherders!" Before our Main Event begins, Santa makes his way to ringside handing out IWA dvds and t-shirts to the fans around ringside.
Main Event: Manny Fernandez vs Greg Valentine for the IWA World tv title Valentine backs Manny to the ropes, then throws a forearm over the chest, and Manny responds with the chop. Fernandez with a drop toehold and he takes Valentine’s back on the canvas.
Valentine makes the ropes and we’re back standing. Knuckle lock, Valentine goes to the gut, but Fernandez takes him down by the wrist. Valentine comes back up and Fernandez stays in control of the wrist, putting Valentine down to a knee. Fernandez keeping control on the mat, sort of a laying sideways surfboard. Manny takes the back and rides Valentine a bit, but Greg gets the ropes again, then takes over on offense with a knee to the gut, a kneedrop to the breadbasket, and a legdrop across the face. Two count, using a foot on the rope for leverage.
Valentine grabs a chinlock. Fernandez takes him over, but Valentine holds on. Valentine lets go and stomps the head. Elbow to the top of the head, and Fernandez comes back with chops. They trade shots and Fernandez ’s chops get the better of it. He keeps ripping into Valentine, then catches him with a left hand to the belly with Valentine coming off the ropes.
Manny’s forehead is cut, then he chops Valentine again and Valentine falls out to the floor. Fernadez has to be held back from going after him and then Valentine gets back in, finally, and the lock it up again.
Valentine pushes Fernandez to the corner and lands the overhand forearm shots to the chest and back. Manny sent off the ropes and hit with another bionic elbow. Fernandez goes down hard, but moves when Valentine goes for an elbow drop. Fernandez fighting back with more hard shots, rolls Valentine up and only gets one. Valentine back in control, working on Manny’s midsection thoroughly, and also the big forearms and elbows. Valentine clubs Fernandez down then claws at his forehead and hits another elbow to the top of the head, and another hard stomp to the face, and another. Valentine wants the figure four! He grabs the leg and spins into it but Manny kicks him off and Valentine goes flyin into the ref! Valentine gives Manny a low blow. Valentine goes out to get a chair. Back inside Valentine sizes Manny up...... but before he can nail Manny, Santa jumps in the ring........ spinning backfist to Valentine!
Tony Schiavone: "Now wait just a minute! That move looks very familiar!" Santa rips his mask off, revealing.......
EDDIE KINGSTON!
Kingston nails Fernandez with a spinning backfist then kneels over Fernandez just beating the piss out of him! Several security members rush to Mannys aid. Fernandez is bleeding profuse as Kingston takes the housemic........
Eddie Kingston: "I told ya Manny! I told ya I had a receipt for ya dawg! But I'm not done! Not by a Longshot pariah! See this Christmas tour is about to roll into my back yard on Wednesday night...... AEW! Let's do the damn thing. You and me! But not just any match. I don't want any interference. Let's do it inside a steel cage! See ya Wednesday night!"
