12 Days of Christmas Tour: Night Eight

 



Location: The Forum, Los Angeles, CA








   Dawn Marie: "I'M BACCCKKK! Los Angeles..... did you miss me? Just when you couldn't think the 12 Days of Christmas tour could get any hotter! Nooo, not me silly! I'm talking about the action. You can feel the electricity in the air as the fans are ready for Pick Your Poison matches tonight as Bryan Danielson and Jungle Boy will pick each other's opponents! Plus one Hell of a Main Event as CM Punk faces Jon Moxley in a stretcher match! I don't know about you L.A. but I'm ready for some action!"        




   Match One: Owen Hart vs Arn Anderson            

Owen more than holds his own with Arn. Owen loves trading chops with Arn and trying to lay them in just as hard as he gets them as you can feel the hatred between these two after the recent betrayal to Owen from the Horsemen.


Arn gets sent packing with Owen on a roll, but Owen chases him down in the aisle. This turns out to have been a sucker move by Arn as Tully Blanchard is right there to help Arn out. Arn and Tully beat on Owen until Davey Boy Smith comes to Owens rescue. The ref talks it over with the ring announcer who declares this is now a tag team match!!!



   Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith vs Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard           

Owen started with Blanchard, outwrestled him and then Anderson tagged in with Hart slamming him on the arm. Davey Boy got in there to use his power as they worked over Anderson for a few minutes. Blanchard tagged in and he was overpowered by Davey. When Blanchard did chops to Davey they had no effect and Davey Boy whipped him into the turnbuckle. Hart was back in for his team where he did a double arm drag by both Horsemen, which drew a big ovation. The Horsemen took control briefly after Anderson made a blind tag, hit Owen in the back with a punch and a body slam. Blanchard was isolated as Davey worked him over with a bearhug and forearms. Anderson went into the ring, Owen went after him and Anderson pulled Blanchard out of the way as Davey  went crashing into the turnbuckle. The Horsemen made quick tags to work on Davey. Anderson was in the ring with Davey, who ran the ropes and Davey collided with Anderson to knock them both down. Anderson prevented the tag to Owen and that was followed by a spot where Owen hit a knee to the back of Arn when he was running the ropes because the ref didn’t see it.

Owen got the hot tag against Blanchard with punches, body slams and clotheslines. Owen with a dropkick on Anderson followed by another slam on Blanchard and a forearm smash off the middle rope. Suplex by Hart on Blanchard. Clothesline by Hart on Blanchard while Davey knocked Anderson outside the ring. With Davey on the apron, they did the slingshot spot with Davey doing the shoulder tackle to Blanchard. Davey Boy slammed Blanchard down. Davey picked up Owen and slammed him onto Blanchard. The ref gets Tully out if the ring.. That allowed Anderson to hit a double axhandle to the back of Hart and Anderson hit a DDT then covered for the pin. 







Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring for the first segment of Pick Your Poison!




The fans aren’t really happy with DANIELSON, who has been slowly turning heel during this program with JUNGLE BOY …. It started with DANIELSON attacking JUNGLE BOY and putting him in the Crossface Chickenwing, sending JUNGLE BOY to the hospital, then following that up by running down JUNGLE BOY at every turn …. DANIELSON would be confronted by BOB ARMSTRONG, who challenged him to a match on the next episode of AEW.




Jungle Boy then makes his way out to the entrance ramp. Jungle says while he may not like Danielson personally,  he respects his ability. But he wants to test that ability and he has just the man for the job.......






   Match Two: Kurt Angle vs Bryan Danielson         

We start fast with the feeling out process …. These men are no strangers …. The early goings in this one is a technical masterpiece, with DANIELSON looking to target the neck of ANGLE …. ANGLE is forced to escape to the ropes, but DANIELSON doesn’t break until 4 …. “I’VE GOT TILL 5!!!!” …. ANGLE gets up and is pissed and they get nose to nose …. Here comes the strikes, as they start trading hard slaps and European uppercuts. ANGLE gets a big German suplex and here comes an onslaught of suplexes by ANGLE as he tosses DANIELSON around the ring, followed by some jumping jacks as ANGLE mocks DANIELSON …. ANGLE absorbs some European uppercuts from DANIELSON, but catches him and plants a belly to belly …. ANGLE puts DANIELSON on the top rope and goes for a super-plex …. DANIELSON blasts ANGLE with a series of headbutts to knocks ANGLE to the mat, and a cut is opened up on ANGLE’s head …. DANIELSON hits a diving headbutt but ANGLE kicks out!!!! DANIELSON now viciously attacks the cut on ANGLE’s head, punching and tearing at it and opening it even further! The crowd rallies behind ANGLE now, but he is losing a lot of blood …. DANIELSON starts hammering the chest of ANGLE with the YES kicks, then hits the BIG roundhouse! 1 … 2 … ANGLE KICKS OUT!!!! DANIELSON up top, but ANGLE springs to his feet and runs up the ropes, hitting a BIG belly to belly throw off the top that sends DANIELSON half-way across the ring!!!! Both men are down!!!! Slowly they stir, and they meet in the middle of the ring and are nose to nose! They start firing off punches and forearms, but DANIELSON hammers ANGLE back with European uppercuts …. DANIELSON with a Regal Plex to ANGLE gets a 2 count! DANIELSON sets in the corner for the Busaiku knee, and he fakes doing the ‘YES!’ chant with the crowd, because when they start to chant along he flips all of them off! DANIELSON charges for the knee, BUT RUNS RIGHT INTO THE ANGLE SLAM!!!! ANGLE pops back up, wiping the blood from his face …. DOWN COME THE STRAPS!!!! DANIELSON counters the Ankle Lock with a forward roll, then grabs ANGLE and hits a Tiger Suplex dropping ANGLE right on his head! 1 … 2 … Noooo! ANGLE kicks out but DANIELSON holds on and rolls right into the Cattle Mutilation!!!! ANGLE fights it, getting back to his feet and DANIELSON turns it into a backslide for 2! They pop up and ANGLE turns DANIELSON inside out with a huge lariat!!!! ANGLE puts the straps back up, and down they come again! Ankle lock locked in!!!! DANIELSON tries to get out of the hold by standing to his feet, and he grabs the turnbuckle trying to hold on but ANGLE pulls him back to the middle of the ring! As he does, DANIELSON rips the turnbuckle pad off the top turnbuckle! ANGLE cranks in the ankle lock, but DANIELSON rolls forward, sending ANGLE face-first into the unprotected turnbuckle!!!! ANGLE is knocked silly, and DANIELSON scores with the Busaiku knee strike!!!! He’s not done there, as DANIELSON traps both arms, then starts raining down more hard elbow shots. ANGLE is defenseless and getting pummeled, and the ref stops the match due to ANGLE being unable to defend himself!!!!

POST MATCH: The trainers and doctors at ringside are checking ANGLE out, and DANIELSON gets a mic and yells at JUNGLE BOY, saying that this is what is in his future! KURT ANGLE is a world-class athlete, and an Olympic Gold Medalist and this is what he did to him! JUNGLE BOY is nothing, he is a no-one .... The son of a washed-up actor! If he even makes it past the opponent DANIELSON has chosen for him tonight, DANIELSON will destroy him at Wrestle Kingdom, but not before he makes JUNGLE BOY watch him destroy his mentor first!




   Match Three : John Cena vs Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig           


JOHN CENA , a newcomer to the WWF, definitely has his hands full with MR. PERFECT!

PERFECT uses his fantastic wrestling and experience to handle CENA at the begining of this match! But CENA uses his strength to keep this match entertaining!

As these two hit the 12 minute mark things heat up but nothing gets too out of hand! PERFECT finally wealens CENA enough to hit the PerfectPlex but as he does,the bell rings signally that the 20 minute time limit has expired and the match is declared a draw!




Match Four: Kennan vs The One Man Gang              

The Gang attacks before the bell, with clubberin' blows across the back. Whip to the corner, Konnan does a tumble to escape, and hits a pair of dropkicks and a spinning heel kick to drop the big man. Konnan with a springboard dropkick, and a body press to take the Gang out through the ropes. Konnan with a somsersault from the apron. Back inside, the Gang regains control, and drops a big leg. More trash talking and choking. Gang with a side suplex. Gang chokes Konnan across the middle rope. Konnan mounts a comeback with a flurry of rights and lefts, then takes Gang down with a head scissors. Konnan with a pair of dropkicks... and then misses a third. Gang with the 747 Splash to win the match! 











  Match Five : Buddy Murphy w/Zelina vs Malacki Black         

Before the match started, Black sat cross-legged in the ring staring at Murphy. The bell rings, and Black immediately goes for Black Mass, but Murphy gets out of the ring. Murphy gets in the ring and takes Black down. They go back and forth for a bit before Murphy slams Black’s face off the ring steps. Murphy viciously attacks the jaw. Murphy drags him to the center of the ring, but Black quickly lifts him up. Murphy quickly takes him down and applies an arm bar. Black’s nose is gushing blood. Murphy sends him out of the ring and slams the face off the commentary table. Black kicks away at Murphy and puts him in the corner. Murphy quickly boots him back and charges, but Black knees him in the face.

Black slowly pulls himself up, trying to catch his breath. Black forearms Murphy back a few times before Murphy kicks him in the midsection. Black quickly kicks and sweeps the feet before hitting a shining wizard. Black charges, but Murphy slingshots over him. Black quickly kicks him and knees him in the face before connecting with a standing moonsault for a near fall. Murphy makes a comeback and goes for a sunset flip powerbomb off the ropes, but Black holds on. Murphy tucks his head and superkicks him in the nose a few times before hitting a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall! Murphy goes for a big knee, but Black fights out. Black elbows him, but Murphy viciously knees him in the face a few times before hitting a brainbuster.

Murphy and Black sit across from each other in the corners. Murphy challenges him. Black knees and elbows him, but Murphy makes a comeback. Black then connects with a Black Mass out of nowhere for the win!







   Match Six: Shane Douglas vs Masked Superstar          

DOUGLAS is a babyface but not typical as he does have an edge to him!
On the other hand,SUPERSTAR is what is considered a heel but his scientific wrestling skills rank up there with the best of them...that is when he decides to use them!


So basically this match between the two goes from wrestling to brawling and back again!

But SUPERSTAR eventually wears down the game DOUGLAS and clamps on his Cobra Sleeper and gets the submission win!




   Match Seven : Pick Your Poison Jungle Boy vs ???           

The announcers speculate on who Brian Danielson picked. They are surprised when Jake The Snake Roberts makes his way to the ring . 




Jungle Boy waste no time , he hits a diving plauncha over the top rope into Roberts and rains down punches on him . He’s yelling Danielson’s name the whole time . Jake pokes Jungle Boy in the eye and rolls away from him . He picks up Jungle Boy and hits a makeshift Gordbuster on the time keepers table .

Jungle Boy sits up and Jake blast him in the head with the ring bell . The announcers lose their shit , speculating if Jungle Boy doesn’t have a concussion .  Jake now rolls Jungle Boy in the ring and hits a Kneelift , that floors him to the mat .  Jake slithers down by Jungle Boy’s side and laughs . Slapping him across the face , humiliating him . He pulls him up to his feet and sets for the DDT and nails it !!! Jake laughs as he sits in the corner and laughs manically.

Now Danielson comes down to the ring . He he has an envelope in his hands . He can be heard telling Jake , finish him off and it’s all yours . The announcers scream that this isn’t just pick your poison , it’s a damn bounty match !!!! Jake slithers beside Jungle Boy . He slaps him a few more times and then pulls him to his feet , he goes for a second DDT , but Jungle Boy shoves him off gets space and lands a Superkick !!!!  Jungle Boy and Jake both lay on the mat , not moving . The ref starts counting , Jake is up at 8 , Jungle Boy at 8 and half , SPEAR BY JUNGLE BOY!!!! He covers 1….2…. Noooo !!! Danielson puts Jake’s foot in the bottom rope !!! The ref waves off the pin .

Now both men are fighting to their feet , Jake getting the better of the exchange . Jake with a kick to the gut and goes for another DDT , but Jungle Boy stops the momentum by grabbing the top rope . Jungle Boy hits a spring board DDT of his own .  He falls on Jake …. 1…..2…… Noooooo ! Jake kicks out .  Jungle Boy leaps straight up and hits a double leg drop on Jake . He goes for Jungle Fever ….. 1…..2…..3 !!!!

Post match Danielson gets in the ring , he puts Jungle Boy in the Crossface Chicken Wing.  Bob Armstrong comes rushing in , but he’s cut off by Jake who hits him with a DDT .  Danielson let’s off the hold and tosses Jungle Boy out of the ring . He looks at Jake ,” I said finish it !!!”’ Jake sets up for the DDT , but Piper comes down and waffles him with a chair .  



Piper stares down Danielson who really wants to go at Piper, but thinks better as he’s armed with a chair . Security comes down . Piper , Armstrong and now Dusty help Jungle Boy to the back .












   Match Eight : The Dynamite Kid  vs MJF for the IWA X Division title           

Kid shoves MJF to the ropes. MJF goes out to the floor quickly. MJF back in, Kid with a side headlock, off the ropes and he shoulders MJF down. MJF caught going for something off the ropes, he gets slingshotted into the corner and he falls out to the floor again.

MJF up and holding his head. Referee keeping Dynamite from following him out, so he’s waiting impatiently in the in the ring for MJF to come back. MJF ducks out in the corner after he comes back in, then into a C&E. MJF pushes Dynamite to the ropes, then smacks him in the gut, forearm over the back. MJF whips him in, goes for a kick, it’s caught, and he’s hopping around on one leg. Dynamite spins him around and hits an atomic drop. Snap suplex and a beauty from the Dynamite Kid. Cover doesn’t get three.

Chinlock from Dynamite. MJF stands up and goes to a hammerlock, Dynamite reverses, MJF reverses. Dynamite runs MJF to the ropes and through to the floor. MJF back in with a wristlock, Dynamite rolls over, back, and then takes MJF over and to the canvas. But MJF comes right back and takes Dynamite down. Right hand from MJF. Up and Dynamite sent off the ropes, then hit with a kneelift. HAIRSLAM from MJF. He yells at the referee, who is giving him what’s for about breaking the rules. MJF to the second rope, drops an elbow over Dynamite’s shoulders. Another elbow, then a quick legdrop. MJF arguing with the ref some more. Headbutt from MJF. He’s in full control now. Wild, swinging right hand from MJF. He dumps Dynamite out to the floor and follows, slamming Dynamite down onto the concrete.

MJF back in and the referee is in his ass again. Dynamite comes back in, MJF hits a side backbreaker for two. MJF taking his time. He sends Dynamite off the ropes, Dynamite catches him with a sunset flip for two. MJF right back up, splits the legs, and drives a boot down into the abdomen.

Headbutt and a European uppercut from MJF. Another one. He goes for another, Dynamite slips away, but MJF elbows down on the back of his head. Another European attempt, this time Dynamite goes for a backslide and gets two, but he’s still hurting and MJF is fresh. Right hand from MJF then MJF sends Dynamite in, goes for a backbreaker, Dynamite flips out and hits his own.They grapple against the ropes, MJF still on the advantage. He ties Dynamite up in the ropes. MJF hits the ropes, tries to crossbody Dynamite, and the Kid gets out, so MJF hits the cables hard and snaps back to the ring.

Dynamite has the opening to take over again. Off the ropes, hard lariat from Dynamite. Falling headbutt from Dynamite, now he HAIRSLAMS MJF, returning the favor from earlier. MJF stumbles to the corner, Dynamite whips him to the other side and MJF takes the chest-first bump. Dynamite with a kneedrop just SMASHING MJF’s face. Lateral press gets two. Dynamite pulls him up. Back suplex from Dynamite and a hard one. Two count. FLYING kneedrop AGAIN crushes MJFs whole damn face. He kicks out at two, though.

MJF drops down with Dynamite coming off the ropes, Dynamite over but he was running too fast and trips over MJF flying face-down into the ropes. Dynamite sent into the ropes, off, slides down and MJF runs him out to the floor this time, through the ropes. MJF comes back on the ring apron and as Dynamite approaches him, MJF lowbloes Dynamite! Unseen by the ref. MJF enters the ring and puts Dynamite across the ring ropes.....HEATSEEKER (Rope Assisted piledriver) 1.....2......3!




Despite getting the pinfall, MJF is exhausted after that match. The ref hands him his X Division title and then we hear.......





ITS BRIAN CAGE!! The fans pop loud as MJF looks worried as Hell and begins begging before Cage can even get in the ring! It's no use.....CAGE IS PISSED!!  Cage nails MJF with a discuss Lariat! Then Cage hits a powerbomb into a backbreaker! Cage now unleashes a series of punches to MJF before hitting the Drill Claw! MJF is down! Cage jumps out if the ring and grabs a table. He sets the table up in the ring! Cage powerbombs MJF through the table! Cage just stares down at MJF like a man possessed. 




Main Event: CM Punk vs Jon Moxley in a Stretcher Match         

It’s an immediate hockey fight as PUNK and MOXLEY meet in the middle and start throwing down …. PUNK gets the better of the exchange and sends MOXLEY to the floor, then grabs a chair and punishes MOXLEY with it …. MOXLEY counters with a kick to the ribs, and it’s obvious PUNK’s ribs are still bad from falling off the balcony through the tables on AEW #36 …. MOXLEY gets a kendo stick and hammers PUNK in the ribs, then drops him across the railing on the bad ribs. PUNK turns the tables and sends MOXLEY over the rail into the front row, then moves the fans out of the way and hits a vertical suplex into the unfolded row of chairs! Back into the ring they go, and MOXLEY uses the stretcher as a weapon, hitting a bulldog off the apron on PUNK onto the stretcher! MOXLEY tries to wheel PUNK down the aisle, but PUNK is up and kicks MOXLEY away …. PUNK then uses the stretcher as a battering ram and slams it into MOXLEY! Pepsi Twist and PUNK puts MOXLEY on the stretcher and starts to wheel him off but MOXLEY escapes …. Urinage onto the stretcher by PUNK …. ANAVONDA VICE …. MOXLEY is tapping, but that isn’t how you win this match! PUNK wheels the stretcher up the aisle, but MOXLEY grabs the guardrail to stop the stretcher from crossing the line …. MOXLEY retreats back to the ring but PUNK is right there, but MOXLEY hits the rebound lariat to take out PUNK …. PUNK on the stretcher now, but he escapes and now him and MOXLEY are on opposite sides of the stretcher trading punches! PUNK is knocked to the ground, AND MOXLEY TRIES TO RUN OVER PUNK’S HEAD WITH THE STRETCHER!!!! PUNK narrowly avoids it, but MOXLEY sets up a chair and sits PUNK down in it then slides back in the ring . . . SUICIDE DIVE ONTO PUNK, WHO IS SEATED IN THE CHAIR OUTSIDE!!!! Both men are down now! They fight back onto the apron, and MOXLEY goes for the Paradigm Shift but PUNK scoops him up and hits the GTS off the apron!!!! PUNK puts MOXLEY on the stretcher and locks on the Anaconda Vice!!!! MOXLEY is out!!!! PUNK starts to wheel it up the ramp, but HEYMAN gets in the way. PUNK goes after HEYMAN but that gives MOXLEY a chance to roll off the stretcher …. MOXLEY grabs a chair and hurls it into the face of PUNK, THEN HE GRABS HIM AND THROWS HIM OFF THE STAGE!!!! PUNK falls at least 10 ft and crashes through CAMERON GRIMES’ merchandise tables!!!! GRIMES is throwing a fit as his merch has been sent flying everywhere. MOXLEY puts PUNK on the stretcher and straps him down! THEN HE LOCKS ON THE BULLDOG CHOKE!!!! PUNK cannot free his arms to fight the hold, and he starts to fade as MOXLEY chokes him out!!!! MOXLEY wheels the stretcher across the line to win the match!




POST MATCH: MOXLEY is going to push the stretcher with PUNK strapped to it off the stage again! AEW officials come out and try to stop him, and he turns his anger on them. DANA WHITE is out and blocks MOXLEY …. While this is going on somewhere unbuckles PUNK from the stretcher and he leaps over everyone to take out MOXLEY!!!! Security comes in and pulls the 2 men apart, but a ‘LET THEM FIGHT!’ chant breaks out! MOXLEY breaks loose and goes after PUNK, and the two start trading blows again!!!! Here comes even more security, and it takes all of them just to separate the two men again as show fades to black!
