AWA # 35 Captains Match
Freddy Miller: Fans this is the American Wrestling Association on WGN , from the Museum of Broadcasting live ! Here now is your host . The Dean of Wrestling Gordon Solie.
Gordon : Good evening , as you can see we have an empty studio this week . We can promise next week , we will be back with our live studio audience. Tonight we are bringing you matches from the All State Arena . Now before we begin let me just say that all the matches we are showing had implications to the future of the AWA .
A Captians Match this was Roman Reigns ‘ choice for his best of five series with AWA Heavyweight Champion Ted Dibiase . The concept a six man tag . If at point one Captain pins the other , the match is over . If someone other than the captain is pinned on a team that person is eliminated and the match continues.
Also , a very intriguing match , Rosemary defended her AWA Women’s title with the number 3 ranked contender in the world Bianca Bel Air.
We will also see highlights of a Rumble match , where the winner will get a shot at the World Heavyweight Champion who right at this moment , is Dusty Rhodes . The American Dream. Highlights of Curt Hennig challenging one Nature Boy Ric Flair . , when we come back however , highlights of Dynamite Kid taking on Tiger Mask I with the AWA Junior Heavyweight Title on the line .

AWA Junior Heavyweight Title Dynamite Kid vs Tiger Mask : Another classic battle . Tiger hits a flying Tiger Space Drop on the outside . From there he rolls DK in and gets off the Tiger Feint Kick . He tries for a flying body press and DK rolls out if the way . A Tombstone ends the match and Dynamite retains .
Curt Hennig vs Ric Flair : Hennig not only finds himself alone in this match , but Heenan comes out with Flair . It gets ugly and instead of a classic match we get a brawl , that sees Flair beat Hennig unmercifully with a chair on the back . Hennig wins by DQ , but has to be carried out by EMT’s .

Cody finally returns off injury doing very well eliminating Garza , Rose , Rey Jr and Tiger 2 . It ends though when Fatu Superkicks him out of the ring .
It comes down to Fatu , Sheamus and Lashley . Lashley and Sheamus hook up and Fatu dumps them over .
Post match : Lashley and Sheamus brawl al over the arena .
Gordon : There you have it . Jacob Fatu will indeed take on the World Heavyweight Champion at Friday Night Fright . Next week we will have the American Dream Dusty Rhodes in studio with us for that contract signing . When we come back . Rosemary puts her AWA Women’s Title on the line against Bianca Belair we will show this match in it’s entirety.

AWA Women’s Title Rosemary vs Bianca Bel Air: The opening shows some chain wrestling by both women . They get in the ropes , Rosemary rakes the eyes , then a kick to the ribs of Bianca . From there she puts her in the Upside Down , breaking on 4 . Rosemary now goes for a Butterfly Drop , but Bainca turns it into an over the head belly ti belly !! Bainca with a shoulder tackle sends Rosemary over the top rope and then goes for a a plauncha , but Rosemary turns it into a Spinebuster !! Rose goes for the Red Wedding , Bainca escapes out the back and gets off a DDT. From there she hits the KOD !!! She covers and gets the 3 .
Gordon : There you have it . Bianca Bel Air is the new AWA Women’s Champion . She will be here next week in studio as well . When we come back , it’s the Captain’s Match .

Captains Match Roman Reigns & AMW vs Ted Dibiase & The Varsity Club : Stevens and Breaker hit the Flying Bulldog on Harris for the 3 . He is eliminated .
Reigns hits a Superman Punch on Stevens and gets 3 . He’s eliminated.
Reigns with a Spear on Breaker , he’s eliminated.
Ted is by himself against Reigns and Storm . Storm hits the Last Call , but Ted kicks out . Storm goes for a second , but Ted catches the leg and rolls it into a small package for 3 taking out Storm .
Reigns in the match is blowing up Ted . He unloads his arsenal of moves , but Ted is finding ways to survive . Reigns spears Ted out of the ring . When Ted gets back on the ring apron , Ted gets off a Sunset Flip and pins Reigns for 3 .
Gordon : And there you have it . Ted Dibiase now leads the best of five 2 to 1 . Next week a fan vote will decide the 4th match . Bob Luce has decided to put the last two matches in the hands of the fans . You can vote now on our app . It should be noted however if Ted Dibiase wins next week , there will not be another match .
