BTW # 25 : Ten minutes to glory .
Sam Menekar: Hello fans and welcome to our home . The Walt Disney Concert Hall in beautiful Los Angelos. This is AMC and you are watching Big Time Wrestling. I’m Sam Menekar .
Tonight our main event , Jungle Jack Perry taking on MJF . If Jack can last ten minutes , he will secure a future World X Division against the champion . Also tonight The Rock will defend his Heritage Championship against Rob Van Dam . Elizabeth Savage is in the control center and we start tonight with a rare treat . The North American Heavyweight Champion Bob Backlund in nontitle action . Let’s go to the ring .
Bob Backlund vs The Grappler : Grappler is a rough and tumble wrestler . He’s using all kinds of dirty tactics , but the champion can mix it up with the best of them . After a fore arm shot , he hits an atomic drop . As he’s prepping for the Crossface Chicken Wing , Ox Baker comes on from behind and clotheslines him in the back of the head . He presses Backlund above his head and tosses him over the top rope down to the floor . Backlund hits head first . He’s staggered and Ox hits him with the Heart Punch! Backlund falls flat on his back . Ox pulls him up , a second Heart Punch . Followed by a third . Martel and Tito come out , Ox takes his leave .
Break
Sam : Welcome back . Bob Backlund has been taken to the hospital . Our concern is with him now . Right now joining me is Wally Karbo the president of BTW .
Wally : Thank you Sam , normally this is the control center time slot , but after what happened out here , I wanted to address the situation . Sam , when I took this job at the request of JAR Promotions , I told John Rose , this will not be the Wild West . Things like the heinous attack we just witnessed will not be tolerated.
Ox Baker until further notice will be fined the sum of $25,000 dollars which will be paid to Children’s Miracle Network . He will be suspended without pay , until further notice . My office has sent an email to Gorilla Monsoon and I see Elizabeth Savage has joined us and is delivering the results of the email .
Liz : Mr . Karbo the email reads as follows . From the desk of Gorilla Monsoon IWA President.
Mr Karbo , I have received your email and I agree with you on your fine and suspension of Ox Baker . Also your request that Ox Douglas Baker not be allowed to wrestle for any other promotion in the IWA , during said suspension has been granted .
Ox comes out enraged .
Ox : What the hell are you thinking Karbo . Your messing with my lively hood . You know what . Ox grabs Karbo as to hit him . Verne comes and breaks it up . The two start brawling all over the building .
Break
Out of the break an angry Verne is by ringside with Sam and Wally Karbo .
Verne : Wally , I don’t give a damn about his suspension. He needs to learn to respect authority and co workers . There are guys I hate in this business , but I would never ever do what that man did to Bob Backlund . For 25 years I have trained wrestlers . Ricky Steamboat, my son Greg , Jimmy Brunzell , Ric Flair . Flair fights dirty and he will do whatever it takes to gain an advantage , but he’s never tried to take a man’s career from him .
Wally you and I go way back . You were best man at my wedding . You are the God Father to Greg . Ox Baker tried to hurt you . I’ll pay his damn fine . All I’m asking that you and Gorilla lift his suspension even if it’s for one night . This punk needs to be taught a lesson . I want him in the ring . Anywhere in the country or out . He’s gotta pay .
Wally : Well we do have an open invitation to New Japan this weekend . Let me get ahold of Mr. Baba or Inoki and see what they have to say . Fans the Rock vs RVD is unable to be on the show tonight due to time constraints , but for those of you who live in the Carson City area tomorrow night at National Guard Armory , we will have that match there . Also tomorrow night , Sasha Banks will take on Tamina Snuka . When we come back , can Jungle Jack Perry last the ten minutes with X Division champion. MJF , we’ll find out .

Liz : Hello fans , we have a special announcement. During the break we received word from Antonio Inoki that this weekend , New Japan Pro Wrestling will indeed have that match between Verne Gagne and Ox Baker . It will be a Japanese Cage of Doom Match . Both men enter a cage . It continues until one man can no longer fight . This is determined by a referee who is only there to give the ruling .
Sam : And I’m told this is the last New Japan Show until the Tokyo Dome Showdown on Jan . 1 st .
Liz : That’s right Sam and Mr . Inoki and Mr . Baba are bringing you this show on Fox Saturday Night at 11pm . There will be two special host . Bill Apter and our own John Cena .
Sam : Well here we go all Jungle Jack Perry has to do is survive ten minutes to get a match with the X Division Champion MJF . Let’s go to the ring .
Ten minute survival match MJF vs Jungle Jack Perry : Doc & Gordy along with Wardlow come out . Jack sees the numbers and walks to the back . MJF gets out the house mic and ask Jack if he’s cowering out . He says he can’t blame Jack because dammit he’s MJF and he’s better than you . Jack comes out with Bob and Brad Armstrong and John Cena is with them to match Wardlow’s power . It’s a crazy ass brawl . The ref tosses out all six men . It’s now Jack and MJF .
They lock up collar and elbow . MJF goes right for the arm wringer and then a fall away . He transitions to a key lock . Jack gets to the ropes and MJF stomps on the arm . He breaks on four and goes for a double arm stomp , but Jack rolls out of the way . MJF falls into the ropes , Tiger Feint Kick by Jack . MJF staggers up springboard sit out cutter by Jack and then a sliding elbow to the back of the head . SNARE TRAP !!! MJF is fighting for all he’s worth not to tap , he starts to go toward the ropes and Jack let’s off the hold and pulls him back . SNARE TRAP again !!!
MJF gets to the ropes this time and off the break , he hits a roaring elbow and then a Alabama Slam . He now hits the Heat Seeker . He looks at the camera and cocky like proclaims that’s it , he covers 1……2….. Nooo Jack kicks out !!! MJF is stunned . He’s yelling at the ref . Jack staggers to his feet , reverse Rana by Jack . MJF staggers up and Jack hits him with a spinning neck breaker. Jack goes up for Jungle Fever , but MJF gets his knees up . He now goes for Salt of the Earth !!! Jack claws his way to the ropes . MJF goes for a clothesline off the break , but Jack hits a back body drop . MJF lay on the outside . For some reason the ref is admonishing Jack . MJF pulls something out of his tights . Jack goes to Suplex him back in and MJF hits Jack with the foreign object knocking him cold . MJF covers with a minute and half left , 1……..2……..3 !!!
When MJF stands up , to celebrate a chain falls out of his hand . The ref waves it off . He orders the match to continue , but MJF refuses . The ref tosses out the match calling it a no contest draw .
Sam : Jack Perry might have secured a title shot . We will find out what the Board of Governors say next week . For Elizabeth Savage , I’m Sam Menekar. Good night everybody .
