Renee Young is in the ring and she hypes the crowd at the Orpheum in Ybor City .... this is a much smaller venue than the first Shimmer show, which means it's packed and it's a more intimate atmosphere .... the crowd is HOT tonight .... Renee runs down the card, highlighted by the HUGE main event .... it's title vs title as United States Champion Charlotte takes on Shimmer champion Bayley ....

Renee calls both ladies to the ring, beginning with Charlotte who comes out accompanied by Nia Jax .... Bayley comes out giving hugs to everyone .... Charlotte berates her for being a 'doe-eyed' superfan and says she doesn't belong .... Charlotte was born and bred for this business and she is genetically superior to Bayley .... she says Bayley is a Cinderella story but the clock strikes midnight on her fairy tale tonight .... There is only room for ONE Champion in women's wrestling .... so tonight she's going to collect the Shimmer title and then she is going to defeat Kong for the world title .... Kongs stranglehold on the women's division has only lasted this long because she has been running from Charlotte ....



Bayley takes the mic and says her piece, saying she's proud of where she comes from .... she wasn't born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she's worked hard all over the world to get to where she is .... and with these people behind her she is going to take the United States title tonight ....


Opening match
Nixon Newell

'The Gatekeeper' Kelly Klein

Fast-paced opener between two of the younger stars in Shimmer .... Klein has struggled to find her place since making an appearance in the finals of the 'Heart of Shimmer' tournament .... Newell is started to gain momentum and is over with the fans .... Newell gets the win in the opener with the Welsh Destroyer (front flip piledriver) followed by the Shining Wizard ....

Alexa Bliss

Cross eliminates ODB with the fisher woman buster .... Cross is the next one out as Storm hits the Strong Zero piledriver to finish her off .... Storm and Bliss then go at it for a solid 7 minutes of good action .... Toni Storm is starting to really get over with the European fans .... Bliss battles back with the 'insult to injury' but Storm stops her as she goes for the twisted Bliss and hits a super-plex!  Storm fires up and hits an air raid crash across her own knee but Bliss kicks out .... Bliss goozles Storm, but she breaks it with a vicious head butt and then hits the Strong Zero piledriver to put Bliss away for the 3 count ....

Premier Athlete Brand (Laurel Van Ness & Santana)

Dangerous Curves (Naomi & Ember Moon)  

Ember Moon has Van Ness set up for the Eclipse but Santana shoves her out of the way and takes the move instead!  Van Ness hits the curb stomp on Ember Moon and takes her out .... Naomi with the rear view on Van Ness but Santana scores with a superkick and then the shining star press for the win ....

Tessa Blanchard

The two women shake hands as the bell rings to start the match. Tessa takes an aggressive turn immediately by shoving Molly into the corner and wailing on her head. Tessa hip-tosses the champ out and drops her with a couple of clotheslines. Molly ducks a third clothesline and hits a German Suplex for a quick two. Molly takes her turn on offense. Molly hits a backdrop then spins and hits a kick to the back, the drops an elbow across Tessa’s head. Molly clamps on a chin lock, trying to wear Tessa down. Tessa fights back up and hits a side suplex. Tessa hits a wicked Spine Buster for two. She locks Molly in a painful Abdominal Stretch. Molly finally hip tosses out of it. She goes after Tessa and walks into a belly-to-belly suplex for two. Tessa locks the abdominal stretch back on and really puts the pressure on. Molly is struggling to stay in. She looks to be fading but fights back and reverses the hold! Tessa quickly hip tosses out. Molly springs up and eats a big Dropkick for two. Tessa calls for a Slingshot Suplex. She is ready to end it. She knees Molly in the ribs of the head a couple times for good measure. As Tessa goes to execute the move, Molly floats over. She quickly scoops Tessa up….. PSYCHO DRIVER!!!!! Molly hooks the leg and scores the three count!

After the hard fought battle, Molly takes a house mic and thanks Tessa for the match and thanks the fans for their support. Molly knows Shimmer is where the best women in the division get to show what their made of. Molly announces she has a world title shot at Awesome Kong on July 4th at RWA’s Great American Bash show. Kong has been the champion for more than a year now and mowed down everybody in her path. Molly knows she is much smaller than Kong, but she’s been working hard to get to where she is and she will let nothing stop her, not even a monster the level of Awesome Kong. Molly thanks the fans again for all their support. She turns to leave. Tessa is up and blasts her with a clothesline!!! She picks Molly up ….. SLINGSHOT SUPLEX!!!! The ref is admonishing Tessa, telling her the match is over and to go back to the dressing room. Tessa kicks the ref in the groin and DDT’s him! Tessa slides out of the ring and grabs the RWA Isis belt and takes it with her as referees come out to help her victims. Tessa looks at a camera on her way out and holds the belt up, saying “That was for you, dad.”

Billie Kay w/ Peyton Royce

Winter

Winter not only has to battle Kay, but also the outside interference of Peyton Royce .... in a surprising move, Paige runs out from the back and stops Royce from interfering, then even shoves Winter out of the way of a big boot from Kay and taking the bullet that was meant for Winter .... this allows Winter to hit the Ice-Breaker (swinging sideslam backbreaker) on Kay and get the 3 count ....

Winter and Paige stand united and Iconic scurries from the ring after the defeat ....


Non-title match
(UWF World Champion) Awesome Kong
-vs-
Nia Jax

Jax and Kong collide like 2 big bulls .... They both try to show their strength by challenging the other to come off the ropes and try to move the other with a shoulder block .... Jax goes for a clothesline but Kong ducks and then lays out Jax with a clothesline instead .... They brawl outside the ring, and Jax shows that she's just as strong as Kong is by beating her down with clubbing blows to the back .... she slams Kong into the ring apron and then fires off some forearm strikes .... Kong is down and the announcers say they've never seen someone with this kind of power dominate Kong like this .... Jax tears the mats off the floor, then tries to lift Kong up for a Samoan drop!  Kong battles out but Jax actually locks a bear hug on Kong!!!!  Kong escapes and battles back with big rights, then slams Jax on the concrete floor!  Kong is pissed .... Kong charges and hits an avalanche in the corner, but Jax explodes out of the corner and turns Kong inside out with a clothesline!  Jax off the ropes and hits the big legdrop!  1 ... 2 ... Kong kicks out!!!!  Kong scores with a spinning backfist out of nowhere that rocks Jax, but can't get her up for the implant buster .... Kong with double chops, Sakuraba style but Jax fires back with a big boot .... Jax goozles Kong, but Kong goozles her right back!  Jax breaks it and drills Kong with the Samoan drop!!!!  1 .... KONG KICKS OUT AT 1!!!!  She rises to her feet and for the first time in the match Jax looks worried .... Kong launches an onslaught of strikes at Jax, and she hits a chokeslam but Jax kicks out at 2!!!!  Kong heads to the second rope but Jax is up and connects with rights to Kong .... Nia climbs up with Kong and they battle on the top rope but Kong hits some rapid-fire head butts that knocks Jax to the mat!  Kong pulls herself back to the top, but Charlotte is out to the ring!  She grabs the world title from ringside and smashes Kong in the knee with it!!!!  Kong falls to the mat, and the ref calls for the bell and DQ's Jax ....

Kong tries to get up, but Charlotte clips her knee from behind!  Natural Selection!!!!  Charlotte and Jax put the boots to Kong and continue to attack the knee, and Jax hits a BIG splash right across the leg .... Charlotte lays the UWF women's title on the mat, then hits the Natural Selection onto the women's title!!!!  Charlotte ties up the big legs of Kong in the Figure 8!!!!  Referees and other officials fill up the ring and pulls Charlotte off of Kong, and Charlotte and Nia Jax leave the ring but Kong is in bad shape ....





Up next is Rosemary vs Sasha Banks in a no disqualification match, and this feud has heated up since Banks came to the defense of her friend Becky Lynch after a brutal attack by Rosemary .... Rosemary has turned up the violence level by using Banks own 'Boss' ring to bloody her on 2 different occasions ....

This is no countout, no DQ and falls count anywhere.... very aggressive beginning, with Banks hitting a dive to the floor .... Banks controls early, and they quickly take it to the floor and brawl around the ring .... Rosemary slams Banks into the steel steps and takes control .... she locks in a lotus lock and punishes Banks, who fires back with a standing Meteora .... Clubbing strikes by Banks but Rosemary pulls her to the apron and hits a pendulum backbreaker on the apron!  Holy Shit!  Rosemary covers but Banks kicks out!  Rosemary grabs a kendo stick but Banks gets it from her and beats the shit out of her with it!  Rosemary absorbs the blows and comes back with an exploder on the floor!  Back in the ring, Rosemary brings in a trash can and puts it on Banks' face in the corner .... COAST TO COAST DROPKICK!  1 ... 2 ... NOOOO!!!!  Rosemary can't believe it .... she goes for the Red Wedding but Banks slips out and hits a backstabber!  She tries to go right into the Banks Statement but Rosemary rolls out of it and nearly pins Banks .... they both pop up to their feet and Rosemary spears Banks!  Rosemary gets the kendo stick and wears Banks' ass out .... she beats her up the ramp and onto the stage, but Banks turns the tide and knocks Rosemary off the stage to the floor .... METEORA OFF THE STAGE TO THE FLOOR ON ROSEMARY!!!!  They fight back to the ring and Banks hangs Rosemary in the ropes and goes for her double meteora but Rosemary sprays her with the red mist!!!!  Banks is blinded!  Rosemary toys with her, going after Banks' BOSS rings that she used to bloody her before .... BECKY LYNCH IS HERE!!!!  Becky makes her return and attacks Rosemary!!!!  Lynch has the trash can and smashes Rosemary over the head with it!  BECKS-PLEX ONTO THE TRASH CAN!!!!  Becky grabs Sasha Banks and pulls her on top of Rosemary and the ref counts the 1 ... 2 ... 3!!!!





Main Event: title vs title match
(United States champion) Charlotte
-vs-
(Shimmer Champion) Bayley

The first few minutes are filled with very even back and forth exchanges, with both looking for pinning combos .... Bayley starts to pick up momentum but Charlotte gets Bayley to follow her to the floor where she cuts her off with a clothesline .... Charlotte tosses her in and goes to work with the ground and pound .... Charlotte with knees to the head and then she locks in her trademark rolling figure four necklock .... it's all Charlotte here, as she talks mad shit about being the best as she cinches in the headscissors tighter .... Bayley comes back with a headscissor takeover but Charlotte stops the comeback with a big boot for 2 .... now we go to school! .... Charlotte starts to work the knee, wrapping it around the ring post violently .... Bayley keeping escaping her attempts to lock on the Figure 8 and Charlotte gets frustrated .... she abandons the leg momentarily and goes up top .... MOONSAULT CONNECTS!  Charlotte hurts herself executing the move and slow to cover .... Bayley kicks out at 2!  Bayley fires up with forearms and Charlotte fires back with chops .... we are DEEP into the match at this point .... Bayley explodes with a clothesline out of the corner and then she runs wild .... Bayley with strikes and then hits a stunner in the ropes!  Bayley hits the series of Courbet elbows with theatrics and then goes up too .... diving back elbow!  2 count!  Bayley ties Charlotte to the tree of woe and lays the boots to her .... Bayley goes for the running corner elbow but Charlotte pulls herself up and dodges it .... Charlotte pulls herself up to the top and hits a skytwister press that takes out BOTH Bayley and the ref!  Charlotte goes for the figure 8 again but Bayley rolls her up in a cradle!  1 ... 2 ... 3 ... 4 ... the fans are counting but the ref is slow to recover .... he finally rolls over .... CHARLOTTE KICKS OUT!  Both ladies pop up to their feet and Charlotte gets an exploder suplex!  Charlotte goes back up top, but Bayley is up and meets her there .... they battle on the top rope and Bayley gets a huricanrana!  Charlotte holds on and rolls through into a sunset flip!  Bayley kicks out!  Charlotte still holds on and goes right into the figure four!  Charlotte tries to bridge into the figure 8 but Bayley keeps stopping her and ends up rolling onto her stomach to reverse the hold on Charlotte!  Charlotte breaks the hold, and both ladies limp to their feet .... BAYLEY TO BELLY OUT OF NOWHERE!!!!  Both ladies are laid out on the match, and Bayley is clutching her knee .... the bell rings, signaling the end of the 30 minute time limit!

WINNER: Time Limit Draw 30:00

Charlotte grabs her title and walks away from the ring, but Bayley grabs the mic and says that nothing was settled .... she tells Charlotte to come back to the ring and give the fans what they want .... she says if this match was 3 seconds longer she would have taken Charlotte's title .... Charlotte is pissed, and she storms back to the ring ....  

The match restarts with both ladies beating the shit out of each other in the middle of the ring!  They launch into a series of pin attempts and reversals that would make Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat jealous .... Bayley gets the advantage and slams Charlotte down, then she goes to the top .... top rope elbow connects!  1 ... 2 ... FOOT ON THE ROPES!!!!  Bayley thinks she's won, but the ref tells her that Charlotte got her foot on the ropes .... Bayley argues with the ref, allowing Charlotte to stomp her knee from behind .... Bayley goes down .... NATURAL SELECTION!!!!  1 ... 2 ... the bell rings!  The 5 minute overtime has ended!!!!

WINNER: Time Limit Draw 35:00

Both ladies are exhausted .... Charlotte limps away from the ring again, but Bayley has the microphone again .... she tells Charlotte to come back and 'finish the job' .... Bayley cinches up her pony tail and tells Charlotte to bring it .... Charlotte heads back to the ring again ....

These ladies are so tired at this point that the match degenerates into a sloppy brawl with both of them throwing bombs trying to put the other away .... Bayley goes for the Bayley to Belly, but Charlotte breaks it with a stiff headbutt .... Charlotte takes out her legs and goes for the figure 8 again but Bayley kicks her off .... the match dissolves into a brawl again, with both ladies disregarding the refs warnings .... they stop caring about the match and just focus on beating the hell out of each other, and they turn on the ref and take him out before turning their attention back on each other!  The match is eventually thrown out!

WINNER: No Contest 40:00


Nia Jax hits the ring and attacks Bayley .... Charlotte is exhausted but she joins in on the beatdown and it's 2 on 1 .... KONG'S MUSIC HITS!!!!  Kong comes limping out of the back and goes straight for Charlotte .... Jax stands in the way and they start fighting, but Charlotte has the US title and nails Kong in the back of the head, dropping her to one knee .... Natural Selection to Kong!!!!  Charlotte goes outside and grabs a chair and puts Kongs leg in it!  She's going to try to break Kongs leg!!!!  She goes up top, but Bayley is back in and she takes the fight to Nia Jax and Charlotte!  Kong pulls herself up on one good leg and joins the fight, and Bayley and Kong chase Jax and Charlotte from the ring .... Bayley and Kong stand tall to end the show ....
