Battle Queens Vol. 69 - 'The Series Finale'

'Miss Supercross' Dianna Dahlgren is out and says this is the series finale of Battle Queens .... Battle Queens isn't going away, it is merging with Disney to create a global brand where women's wrestling will continue to break barriers .... Show begins with Sasha Banks comes out to open the show and gets a HUGE reaction .... She talks about how she's come from winning the Chickfight tournament a year ago, to becoming the first Shimmer champion, and now all the way to stealing the show in the Women's elimination chamber at the Bash All Star Show .... Crowd starts chanting 'LIKE A BOSS!  LIKE A BOSS!' .... She's serving notice that she wants the Battle Queens title because this company needs a champion that's an absolute BOSS ....  




Charlotte says Banks isn't the Boss, and she wasn't the only one that turned in a good performance at the All Star Show .... This conversation shouldn't even be happening because Charlotte never lost the title .... That match was never official .... She says Banks had to win Chickfight last year just to get a job, but Charlotte had her pick of where she wanted to go .... Everyone wanted her and no one wanted Sasha .... Charlotte says she is genetically superior to all other women and all of this belongs to her .... Banks wants to fight about it one more time, but they are both interrupted as ....





Enter Battle Queens champion Ivelisse to a HUGE reaction .... Ivelisse is wearing a facemask over her surgically repaired nose that was shattered by Kana at the Queen of the Ring .... Ivelisse rips it off and tosses it aside and says she is fully cleared to wrestle tonight and that's what she's going to do .... She wants to give Battle Queens the proper send-off and more importantly she wants to prove that she's the 'baddest bitch in the building' .... She wants to fight BOTH of them at the same time!  Fans start chanting 'TRIPLE THREAT!  TRIPLE THREAT!'  Ivelisse says she will see both of them in the main event .... She leaves with Sasha and Charlotte in a stare down in the ring ....


(Winners get a Battle Queens tag team title shot): The Bella Brand (Nikki & Brie Bella) ~ vs ~ Canadian Ninjas (Nicole Matthews & Portia Perez)

The match goes back and forth with Portia doing most of the ring work for the Ninjas.  Matthews has her shoulder taped up with kinesiology tape from the injury suffered at the Bash All-Star show .... Matthews ends up getting the hot tag and cleaning house, and we get to a point where all 4 women are in the ring .... Matthews goes for the Vancouver Maneuver on Brie, but she reverses it into the Yes Lock on the injured shoulder .... To Matthews credit she doesn't tap right away, but Nikki prevents Portia from making the save and Matthews has to tap out!

After the match, the Bellas don't even have time to celebrate as the Beautiful People hit the ring and attack them from behind .... Brie takes a belt shot from Velvet with one of the BQ tag team titles, and then Nikki gets laid out with the Extreme Makeover .... Love & Sky then put paper bags over Nikki & Brie's faces ....


AJ Lee ~ vs ~ Evie

Very good back and forth match between 2 fan favorites .... Evie looks particularly impressive .... Evie looks like she's got AJ at her mercy, but AJ ends up reversing the TTYL attempt into the black widow for the tap out victory ....


(Battle Queens Knockout title match): (c) Alexa Bliss ~ vs ~ Santana

This feud has been going since Bliss best Santana for the Knockout title and put her out of action with a concussion .... Santana attacks early and dominates Alexa, but she trips Santana up causing her to fall hard on the apron .... Alexa attacks the head for a long time, and Santana is on dream street .... Santana fires back and goes on a run, but Alexa kicks out of the shining star press!  Santana goes up top, but Bliss knocks her off causing her to fall hard on the back of her head again .... Santana is dazed, and Bliss hits the 'Insult to Injury' (back handspring double knee drop) followed by the Twisted Bliss splash for the 3 count .... Alexa Bliss retains ....


INTERMISSION - Dianna Dalghren is in the ring and she brings out the winner of the Chickfight tournament HIKARU SHIDA .... Shida earned herself an exclusive contract by winning that tournament .... Shida comes out and talks about how she is honored to compete .... Madison Eagles interrupts .... She didn't win the tournament, but she also got a contract because she out-performed Shida through the entire tournament .... Shida got lucky, but it's not over between them .... Eagles says her match is up next, and tells Shida to watch closely ....


Becky Lynch ~ vs ~ Madison Eagles

Shida stays at ringside to watch this match, and Eagles has her eye on her but that doesn't stop her from having a great match with Becky Lynch .... Lynch continues to be one of the most popular wrestlers in Battle Queens .... Eagles looks like she may have the match won with the Hellbound, but she is distracted by Shida's presence at ringside .... This allows Becky to rally and trap Eagles in the Disarm-her!  Eagles fights to the ropes but Shida is there yelling at Eagles to tap .... Eagles can't reach the ropes and has to tap out!!!!


Eagles leaves the ring holding her shoulder .... She and Shida lock eyes and cautiously walk past one another, but as soon as Shida looks away to enter the ring Eagles attacks her from behind!  Eagles stomps her and then tosses her into the ring steps!  Despite her injured arm, Eagles scoops Shida up and drills her with the Hellbound .... The crowd boos as Eagles walks off ....


Allysin Kay ~ vs ~ Hikaru Shida

Kay enters the ring and Shida is already in bad shape .... Basically Kay dominates this, but Shida shows her fighting spirit and battles back .... Shida with a flurry of strikes and then hits the falcon arrow for a close 2 count!  Shida hits the ropes and goes for the 3 count (knee trembler) but Kay explodes with the silencer (running low angle shoulder block) that stops her in her tracks!  Kay picks her up and nails her with the cutthroat saito suplex and finally gets the 3 count!

Kay leaves the ring and Shida is still on the mat .... Madison Eagles comes back out and goes after Shida again, but Shida fights back this time!  Shida unleashes strikes on Eagles, and she goes to nail her with the 3 count but Eagles bails out of the ring and heads to the back ....


(Battle Queens tag team titles): (c)The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky & Angelina Love) ~ vs ~ The Bella Brand (Nikki & Brie)

Angelina Love and Velvet Sky come out and run down the Bellas .... They talk about their reality show on the E! Network and say the Bellas think they are bigger stars than the Beautiful People .... Well, they are ugly and since they are twins they are both equally hideous and it is their responsibility to make the world a better place one ugly person at a time .... The Bellas aren't having any of it and they hit the ring and the fight is on!  The BP take control, but the Bellas battle back and the fans are behind them .... Nikki drills Velvet with a TKO, but Angelina breaks it up .... Angelina rolls up Nikki and has her feet on the ropes for leverage but Brie pulls her off before the 3 count .... Angelina goes after Brie but Nikki with the flying Chuck on Angelina!  Velvet is back up and knocks Nikki out of the ring but when she goes for the Sky-liner on Brie she reverses it into the YES LOCK!!!!  Velvet is trapped in the middle of the ring .... She taps out!!!!  We have new Battle Queens tag team champions!!!!





(Triple Threat match for the Battle Queens title): (c)Ivelisse ~ vs ~ Sasha Banks ~ vs ~ Charlotte

This match has a HUGE fight feel to it .... Ivelisse is back from her injury to make her first title defense, against 2 of the hottest women in wrestling that are nipping on her heels .... Ivelisse gets nose to nose with both of them to start and then starts throwing kicks!  Banks and Charlotte team up to toss Ivelisse outside and then they go one on one .... Sasha gets Charlotte on top for a super-plex but Ivelisse is back in and we get a tower of doom spot .... Ivelisse in control now and she hits the 'Disdain' DDT on Charlotte but Banks tosses her outside .... Banks traps Charlotte in the Bank Statement!!!!  Charlotte is about to tap but Ivelisse reaches in and grabs her hand so it can't hit the mat!  Ivelisse with a superkick to Banks to break up the move, then she tries to lock on the stump puller armbar but Charlotte takes her out .... Charlotte hits 'natural selection' on Banks!  1 ... 2 ... Nooooo!  Charlotte lets out a big 'wooooo!' and locks on the figure 8!!!!  Banks refuses to tap, but Ivelisse crawls back in and covers Banks as she is still trapped in the figure 8!  1 ... 2 ... 3!!!!  Ivelisse retains the title!!!!



Ivelisse celebrates with the Battle Queens title as the locker room empties .... Banks and Ivelisse shake hands and embrace as the locker room joins them in the ring .... Charlotte is outside looking dejected .... The entire Battle Queens roster gives one final curtain call to the Full Sail audience, who give them a standing ovation .... They stay behind to take photos and sign autographs with those in attendance ...." />
