Revolution Pro Wrestling Chapter 20: This is Strong Style Latest?cb=20140429200830

We go live to a shot of the crowd at Bethnal Green as RPW is live in Greater London at York Hall .... ARE YOU READY FOR A REVOLUTION!!!!

Revolution Pro Wrestling Chapter 20: This is Strong Style Revolution_pro_wrestling-4577074963

INTRODUCTION ----

This show broadcasts more like a DVD like the old ROH shows release rather than a live show like Raw or Smackdown .... the backstage segments are pre-taped and most of the action takes place in the ring ....

--- OPENING SEGMENT ---

Renee Young comes out for commentary and introduces her new broadcast partner, none other than WILLIAM REGAL!  Regal gets a huge pop from the British fans as he joins Renee .... they briefly go over what Regal has been up to lately and he says he's glad to be back involved with European wrestling ....

Revolution Pro Wrestling Chapter 20: This is Strong Style 1446049221166

Out comes Fighting Spirit champion 'The Villain' Marty Scurll .... Regal has high praise for Scurll's work, complimenting him on being a 'true villain' ....

Scurll says he's yet to get his one on one match with Finn Balor .... yeah, he lost at the Great American Bash, but he had Balor beaten and he wasn't the guy pinned in the match .... Finlay tried to protect Balor by putting a guy in the match that isn't even in this company!  Scurll wants his one on one match!  Finlay comes out and says he has a one on one match for Scurll tonight .... he is going to defend the Fighting Spirit title against Hideo Itami and that match will be up first!

- Three 3 minute rounds, with title matches going to 5 minute rounds
- 10 point must system

- Judging categories: Physicality, aggressiveness, controlling the action

- Wins can happen anytime via pin or submission

- If there is no winner after three rounds, a winner is decided by judge's decision

Fighting Spirit title match
(champion) 'The Villain' Marty Scurll
- vs -
Hideo Itami

The first couple of rounds go back and forth, but Itami gets the slight edge on the unofficial scorecard .... Scurll goes to work on the shoulder of Itami, taking his time and doing serious damage .... Scurll takes round 3 on the unofficial card .... Itami makes a comeback in round 4 and is ahead on points, but the crafty Villain reverses a GTS attempt into the cross-face chicken wing!  Itami fights it but Scurll gets a body scissors and then kicks away while still having the hold locked in and Itami taps out!  Scurll gets the win at 2:56 of round 4 to retain the Fighting Spirit title ....

Scurll celebrates when suddenly the lights go out .... when they come back on, standing behind Scurll is ....

Revolution Pro Wrestling Chapter 20: This is Strong Style Finn-balor-demon-king

.... FINN BALOR!

Balor spins Scurll around and drills him with the Bloody Sunday!!!!  Balor stands over Scurll, then the lights flicker and go out again!  When they come on, Balor is gone and Scurll is still laid out in the ring ....

BACKSTAGE PROMO ----

Drew McIntyre cuts a promo about being back .... he wants to be the top man in RPW and right now the top man is Marty Scurll so he's coming after him .... and when you want to be the best you have to test yourself against the best .... Matt Riddle is one of the best and he showed it at the Bash .... but Drew is just a little bit better than him and tonight he will show that again ....

Non-title women's match
(Knockout Champion) Rosemary
- vs -
Nixon Newell

Newell gets some hope spots, but this is basically an extended squash for the new champion while Renee and Regal talk about Rosemary's victory over Becky Lynch at the Great American Bash .... Rosemary puts Newell away with the Red Wedding for the win ....

After the match, Jimmy Havoc's music hits and he comes out to confront Rosemary .... he wants answers for what Decay did to him, and he wants Rosemary to stay with him because they make each other complete .... Rosemary acts receptive to Havoc, until .... RED MIST!!!!  Rosemary sprays Havoc in the eyes!  Out comes Decay to pick the bones, and Abyss drills Havoc with the Black Hole Slam .... they bring a table into the ring, and Crazzy Steve sprays lighter fluid on the table .... THEY SET IT ON FIRE!!!!  Abyss and Steve then hit a double choke slam on Havoc through the flaming table!!!!  HOLY SHIT!!!!  EMT's and trainers rush the ring and pour water on Havoc as he rolls around in pain while Rosemary laughs ....

BACKSTAGE PROMO ----

Matt Riddle promo .... tonight he faces Pete Dunne .... Riddle doesn't care about what kind of statement Dunne and his buddies are trying to make, he's just looking for the next big fight .... he doesn't care who it is, they are either going to get knocked out or tapped out ....

Renee Young conducts an interview with Toni Storm .... she is the quickest rising star in RPW .... Toni tells a little bit of her backstory before she is interrupted by Alexa Bliss .... Bliss comes out with Allysin Kay and mocks Toni .... Alexa is insulted that Toni is even being interviewed after she beat her last time out .... Alexa says that things are going to change around here and she wants her Knockout title back ....

Singles Match
'Blackzilla' Keith Lee
- vs -
CJ Parker

This is a showcase match for Lee, and he is in full control early .... Parker is sent outside and Lee hits a corkscrew plancha over the top to the floor!  Regal talks about how Lee is 345 pounds and flies like a cruiserweight .... As they roll back in, Parker scores with a palm strike that stuns Lee, then he puts the boots to him and hits a back senton .... the offense doesn't last long as Lee catches Parker as he flies off the top and hits a reverse-spin scoop powerslam .... Lee finishes Parker off moments later with the Spirit Bomb (pop up high angle sit-out powerbomb) ....

Tag Team Match
American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards)
- vs -
British Youngbloods (Jake McClusky & The Bruce)

The Wolves win an exciting and fast paced match after hitting the powerbomb/ backstabber combo on The Bruce for the pin ....

After the match, Eddie Edwards has the mic .... he is disappointed he lost the proving ground title shot, but he's going to rebound by challenging the Authors of Pain and the Wolves will be the next RPW tag team champions ....

This brings out Tomasso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano .... Ciampa tells Eddie not to get ahead of himself .... they pushed the AOP further than anyone .... Eddie claims the Wolves are the better team and deserve the title shot .... Gargano says they can prove it and give the fans what they want at the same time .... Both teams think they're the best, so they can settle it in a 'Best of 5' series!  The Wolves accept ....

BACKSTAGE PROMO ----

We get comments from Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, now calling themselves the FEMME FATALES .... They faced the tag team champions and pushed them to the limit at the Great American Bash and now they want more .... they send a warning to the other teams in the match at Hippopotamus, they are the Venus Flytraps of women's wrestling, and the rest of them have fallen into their trap ....

Womens Match
Sasha Banks
- vs -
Toni Storm

This is a star-making performance for Storm .... she has been gaining a lot of popularity lately, but this puts her over the top and establishes her as a main event player .... she actually dominates most of the match against Banks, but she just can't put her away .... during the match, Alexa Bliss and Allysin Kay come out to the ring .... this plays into the finish where Bliss distracts Storm and knocks her off the top when she is going for the guillotine leg drop .... Banks is down and doesn't see this happen, so she locks on the Banks Statement and Storm has to tap out ....

After the match, Toni goes after Alexa but Allysin Kay steps in and attacks her .... it's 2 on 1 until Banks comes back out and evens the odds .... Bliss and Kay bail out, while Banks helps Storm to her feet and raises her hand .... Banks steps out of the ring, leaving Storm to bask in the standing ovation from the fans ....

Singles Match
Matt Riddle
- vs -
Drew McIntyre

The fans LOVE Riddle .... lots of back and forth to start, but this turns into a game of 'one-upmanship' and then straight up brawling .... McIntyre hits a nasty power slam onto the ring apron, but can't put Riddle away .... Riddle pulls out all the moves in his arsenal, hitting the exploder and a back senton for 2 .... there is a double clothesline spot where both guys end up on the mat, and the ref starts the count .... he gets up to 7 and both men start to stir when ....

THE LIGHTS GO OUT AGAIN!

When they come on, Pete Dunne, Trent Seven, and Tyler Bate are in the ring .... THEY ATTACK BOTH GUYS!!!!  Riddle and McIntyre have just been in a grueling match, so both guys are easy prey for a beatdown by British Strong Style .... This segment begins to look like the NEXUS angle as they don't stop there and they begin beating up the crew at ringside and anyone else that gets in their way!  Finlay brings some referees out and demands they stop, but BSS beat up all the refs and it's just Finlay left .... They turn on Finlay and lay him out!  Dunne picks him up and drills him with the Bitter End!  They start destroying the ring, the tables and everything at ringside as the fans throw trash in the ring as the show ends ....
