Match 2: Will Ospreay & Baron Corbin vs "Speedball" Mike Bailey & David Finlay Jr
(Even affair with all for men having their moments. Bailey hits a Tilt-a-Whirl Bulldog on Ospreay. Corbin executes an Oklahoma Stampede on Finlay for a 2 count. Will does a Standing shooting star press on Finlay but Bailey breaks up the cover. Corbin comes in and grabs David for the Deep Six but Finlay counters and gets Baron in a Single Leg Boston Crab. Will goads Speedball to the ring when the ref goes to get him out Ospreay sneaks in a pokes the eyes of Finlay. He pulls Corbin toward the corner and then tags himself in. He hits the Essex Destroyer and pins him for the win.
Winners: Will Ospreay & Baron Corbin
(After the match. Corbin seems displeased with how Ospreay got the win for his team. But Ospreay just says "By any means necessary".)
General Manager Jack Tunney addresses the crowd. He brings out the winner from the Wrestlemania Scramble Match, Taya Valkyrie. Taya says that was just the beginning of her Wrestlemania career. Next year she will be back there winning the World Women's Title. But she is interrupted by Deonna Purazzo who says all the girls in the back are sick of Taya's big head. Taya was lucky at Wrestlemania and she will prove that right here next show.
(Red tries her best but Athena is a little more polished than most of the roster in NG. She controls the match throughout then ends it with the O-Face.)
Devin Taylor is in the back with Willie Mack. Mack says he's heard that next show Mil Muertes will be here. He says no one has been able to stop him but Willie wants to make his mark by being the one guy big enough and tough enough to take him down. Devi warns him that this may not be the smartest move. But Willie says his Momma always said he had more guts than brains but next week he will show he got plenty of both..
Match 4: Charm City Squad (Moose & Swann) vs EVIL Watanabe & Tetsuya Bushi
(The Boys from B-More get a nice ovation but they are attacked before the bell by the young Japanese duo. Evil German Suplexes Moose then drags him to the floor. I the ring Bushi has Swann down in the corner. giving him a face wash with his boot. Then he hits the ropes and his a running kick to the face of Swann. He tries another one but Swann leaps up and hits a dropkick right to the face of Bushi. Outside the ring Moose reversed an Irish Whip and sent Watanabe into the steel guard railing then hit a Lariat sending EVIL into the front row. Back in the ring Bushi counters a suplex and hits a Legtrap Bulldog. He covers for 2. Bushi tries for a Tornado DDT but Swann shoves him off then connects with a Superkick. Tag into Moose... Spear! 1.. 2.. 3!)
We get a video package for Next Generation's newest addition, Trevor Lee. He says he enjoyed his time in IPW but he left because he needed a bigger stage to showcase his skills to the world. He adds once the bosses at XWA see what he can do he will be up on the big roster in no time.
(Richie comes out firing. Raking the chest of Rush with chop after chop. Rush rolls out the ring for a reprieve but Richie goes right out there and continues to light up the pectoral region of Rush. Rush just charges and rams Richie's back into the ring apron. Bodyslam on the floor by Rush. He rolls back into the ring and tells the ref to count. The ref gets to 7 when Steamboat returns.
But Rush is right on him. Targeting the lower back of Richie. He hits an over the knee Backbreaker for 2. He then whips him into the turnbuckle and backdrops him as he bounds out. He hits an Olympic Slam then goes into a Bow ad Arrow submission hold but Richie refuses to give in. The fans are solidly behind Steamboat. Clapping and stomping their feet. Rush tries another Olympic Slam but Richie escapes and hits the ropes as hard as he can and hits a Sling Blade. The crowd pops! He waits... Superkick! Rush is on dream street as Richie goes up top. Cross Body from the top! 1.. 2.. 3!)
Winner: Richie Steamboat
(Rush rolls to the floor as a victorious Steamboat plays to the crowd.)
Gus Johnson puts over how Steamboat gets a measure of revenge with this win. Then wraps up the show and mentions that indeed Death is coming to Next Generation next week as Catrina will lead Mil Muertes into the Big Sandy Superstore Arena.
