Highlights from Bash All Stars :
* Rock with a clothesline , knocks Goldust over the top rope ! He goes out after him , Rock whips Goldust into the ring post and then hits a Rock Bottom on the steps ! He kicks Goldust off the steps . Covers 1………….2………..3 !!!!
* . The ref signals that Daveyboy Smith has cleared the cage . Dynamite now starts to make his way out . He forgets about the discarded chair that Savage threw in the cage . Hogan doesn’t though . He slams it into the back of Dynamite !!! Then spins Dynamite around …….. ACE BOMBER BY HOGAN !!!! Hogan is now up . He opens the cage door and staggers out , but doesn’t fall . The ref comes over and raises the hands of Savage and Hogan !!!
* Andre is staggered , he falls to one knee . Kerry clamps down on the Claw !!! Andre on two knees . The blood pumping like crazy out of his head . His body goes limp . The ref is yelling for Andre to do something , but there is no response . The ref waves Andre off . The consults with the ring announcer .
Michael Buffer : Ladies and gentlemen at this time , referee Pee Wee Anderson , asked Andre The Giant to respond , but he was unable to do so. For his own safety and the amount of blood loss the referee has called this match . Therefore the winner of this match by submission , TKO and still NWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WOOORRRRLLLLLDDDDDD KERRY VON ERICH !!!!!!!!
* They fight up top and the White hits him with the swinging briefcase. Just when you think it’s over, Punk wisely pulls White’s leg through the rungs, leaving him hanging upside down and allowing Punk to pull down the contract! CM Punk will face Will Ospreay in London!! As Punk sits atop the ladder with his win, Ospreay stands on the stage applauding Punks effort as the stage is set for London next month .
JR : Hello folks and welcome to the hottest ticket in the city right now . Welcome to The WWF . The Great American Bash is just about over but for us it’s only the beginning. The place to be on August 31st , the WWF Presents , Clash of the Titans !!!! We will have more about this epic event in just a little while . Gordon Solie is in Paris the next two weeks on a well earned family vacation taking in the Olympics. So I will be hosting in his spot . Right now we have Bob Backlund in action .
Bob Backlund vs Denny Brown : Brown shows off some skills , but for the unhinged Backlund , it’s short lived . Backlund puts Brown in the Crossface Chicken Wing . Brown taps . Backlund tosses him out of the ring and then joins JR at the podium .
JR : Bob , there is a change in you . You were a great champion in Midsouth .
Backlund : And what did it get me , Mr . Ross . It got me nothing . No World Title shots , just a lot of disrespect . Now men like Will Osprey , Drew McIntyer, Kurt Angle and Kerry Von Erich know who I am and will come to fear me . It’s my turn Mr . Ross . My turn do you understand ? Not Andre The Giant , not The Rock , not Dave Batista and sure as hell not Kenny Omega and CM Punk ! ME !!! It’s my turn . My turn !!!!
Kenny Omega comes leaping into the picture . He tackles Backlund over the podium . He bounces Backlund’s head off railing and then goes for a One Winged Angel on the floor . Backlund gets out the back and hits a Release German on the floor . He’s about put the Crossface Chicken Wing on Omega , when John Cena comes out and spins Backlund and hits the FU !!!

And then you take a look right here ( flexes his arms ) . The 24 inch pythons brother . The largest arms in the world , dude . I’m the most powerful man walking this planet . Everyone else takes a back seat . Scott Steiner , sit down . Billy Graham you wannabe Hogan , you ain’t nothing brother . Hawk and Animal , you can’t compete dude !
JR : What about the National Tag Team Champions ?
Savage : You mean the second place wrestlers . That belt is a door prize . Yeah .
Hogan and Savage hold up the belts .
Hogan : That’s right , this is where the power lies , brother . Let’s go Mach .

JR : Folks CM Punk is in action when we come back .

CM Punk vs Shane Helms : Helms takes the fight right to Punk . Punk hits him with a flying knee , bull dog out of the corner and then the GTS for the win .
JR : CM Punk , a good win this week , but at the Bash All Stars a bigger win .
Punk : That was one of the most brutal and grueling matches I’d ever been in . 6 of the best this industry has ever seen , but there is only one Best In the World . Will Osprey you made a huge mistake putting your hands on me . We could have had a classic that would have been talked about in years to come , but now you made it personal . I feel sorry for what I’m going to do to you on August 17th in London …… Blassie ???
Blassie : Look kid . Everyone makes mistakes . I should have been there for ya in Paris . I should have looked out for ya . I’m sorry . You got an opportunity of a lifetime now and I’m proud of you . Let’s beat him .
Punk : Oh , I’m going to beat him , but it will be without you Fred . After I lost the Cruiserweight Championship, you never got in touch with me . No phone call , no anything . I win the biggest match of my life and you want to be my manager again . No thanks .
Punk walks off .

He never gets the words out . Iron Sheik attacks him from behind . He puts him in the Camel Clutch !!!!
Blassie : You wanna talk best in the World Phillip . That’s your name . I own CM Punk’s rights . You signed that over to me when I became your manager . Next time read the fine print . CM Punk is mine . All mine . You can stay home and wrestle as Phillip Brooks or you can go to London as CM Punk . You can get your title shot with me by your side and we win it together. The choice is yours . If you stay as Phillip , this man will attack every chance he gets . Oh and Phil , Failure is not an option. Ok Sheik . Let him go , don’t hospitalize until after London if he loses .
Blassie and Sheik leave . Sheik gives him the old Hawk Tuh on the way out !!!

JR : Folks before we get to our main event tonight . Here is Vince McMahon with a word about Clash of the Titans and so much more .
Vince : Thank you JR . Thanks for filling for Gordon btw . As always during the Bash tour things reshape the wrestling landscape. Let’s start with the smallest and yet big one first .
Bill Watts made a deal with HBO and Max to broadcast exclusively on their network . Well that left an opening and that opening was USA Network . The WWF has signed a big contract not only with USA , but with Peacock .
That leads us to the second thing . Peacock will now carry exclusive WWF events every four months or so . August 31 st . Clash of the Titans . December 31st New Year’s Eve Brawl . April Wrestlemania !!!!!
Now about Clash of the Titans . What happened with Andre The Giant didn’t sit well with me . So I have petitioned the NWA and they agreed . The NWA World Heavyweight Title will be contested in a Steel Cage I Quit Match . In one corner the NWA World Heavyweight Champion rather it be Kerry Von Erich or someone else , the other corner , ladies and gentlemen. The WWF Heavyweight Champion Andre The Giant!!!!
The fans roar their approval as the big guy waves to the crowd .
JR : A huge announcement. When we come back the new WWF Television Champion The Rock puts his newly won title on the line in our main event !!!!

The Rock vs Larry The Ax Hennig : The Ax comes down with Playboy Buddy Rose . Rose interferes in the match . Hennig gets a DDT . Rock sets for the Rock bottom and Rose gets on the ring apron . Rock turns . Drags Rose on the ring and hits him with a Rock bottom . The Axe wins by DQ !! The Rock hits him with the Rock Bottom flips them both off and takes his leave .
