Ace Bomber by Hogan !!! All of a sudden the British Bulldogs storm the ring . Davey clotheslines Hogan over the top rope . Dynamite hits Savage with a Siato Suplex and then a diving headbutt. The Bulldogs take their leave . Savage staggers up , into Rocky Johnson Spear !!! Johnson covers 1…….2……3 !!!

So now I’m here to introduce you to the opponents of the Great American Bash . First Larry Zbyszko will be taking on Kevin Owens . Next the Natural Born Thrillers will take on the Soul Patrol and as my reward for getting rid of the Armstrongs , I will gladly move Mr . Benoit to the side to take on Lex Luger for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
This brings out Vince McMahon .
Vince : Mr . Wagner , either you have balls the size of church bells or you’re just arrogant and stupid . I’m voting the latter of the choices ….
Chris Benoit comes out .
Benoit : You will just push me out of the way and take my spot , huh ? I earned that spot . It’s mine . Get in the back of the line bubble head bleach blonde .
Wagner : Mr . Benoit let’s talk about greatness shall we ? Now there is no doubt you are a good wrestler who has great matches from time to time , but sir , I am a legend . I’m the the greatest wrestler to ever step foot in the WWF or into a ring for that matter . Remember , I have a forgotten history with the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. I made the original belt what it is . There is a reason why when you talk about the best ever I’m one of 3 names that get brought up and only two of us are worthy . Ric Flair and myself . Everyone else takes a back seat and that includes the man who won the new NWA World Heavyweight Championship, The Undertaker or Lord Humongous or Mark and the Fun Bunch whatever you want to call him .
Mr . Benoit the bottom line here is I control the wrestling world . I do what I want , when I want . I can wrestle for every single title here in the NWA , but I’m generous enough to let people like you share . Now you go back to the little person division and you wrestle Jay White where you belong . Maybe you’re a tv guy and you can go after Roddy Piper , but he would outclass you , like I would do myself if I got you in that ring ……
Benoit : Shut the hell up !!!! You say you should have the shot against Luger , you’re better than me , prove it . Mr . McMahon , I want to put my shot on the line . If Wagner wins , give him the shot at Luger , if I win , I get the shot .
Vince : Chris , this is crazy , but I like it . Let’s make it interesting though . A One Hour Ironman Match . Whoever wins the most pinfalls or submissions at the end of one hour is the winner and gets the NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match against Lex Luger .
Benoit : Fine by me .
Wagner : Mr . Benoit get ready to be a failure like always . We will have a great match tonight , people will be talking about it for years to come , but in the end it will be just another match that Chris Benoit came up a bit short and like always can’t get the job done . See you tonight .
Gordon : A big match made that will be coming up shortly in 30 minutes . When we come back , Bob Backlund will be in action .

Backlund : Gordon Solie , you showed it . The whole world saw it . Yes , I put Kevin Owens in the Crossface Chicken Wing. I finally got his attention. Everyone says , oh no Bob Backlund snapped . I can assure everyone that I have all my faculties. I am still the same man I was . However , I’m tired of the disrespect and being ignored . I have been a champion everywhere I have gone . I never got the NWA shots though . Then it seems after one loss , I’m booted out the door . I decided that I needed to get the NWA’s attention so yes I attacked Kevin Owens from behind . Savage : Former nothing Solie . We were robbed Dig It !!!! British Bulldogs , yeah , you had to make it personal . All we were doing was our jobs and your family was standing in the way . Yeah . Well , come the Great American Bash , let’s make it personal .
Hogan : That’s right Macho Man . Smith , Billington , you guys want to play games , let’s play the biggest game of all . Ironman Match Chris Benoit vs Gorgeous George Wagner : Wagner doesn’t come down to the ring with his usual ring entrance. No fancy robes . No escorts . Not even music . He sprints to the ring and slides in and goes right at Benoit . Benoit though meets him with a chop to the chest and then, followed by another and another . Wagner powders out . He takes a ten count in the floor .
Solie : Wagner has been counted out here , he is already down one fall to nothing .
Wagner now slowly gets back in the ring this time . He thumbs Benoit in the eye and then kicks him in the balls . The ref DQ’s Wagner a fall .
Gordon : Gorgeous George Wagner is now down two falls .
Wagner pulls Benoit up , and hits a Piledriver and get the 3 . Gordon tells us Wagner is down by one fall . Wagner tosses Benoit to the outside . From there he grabs a chair and hits Benoit across the back . The ref DQ’s Wagner another fall. He’s back down by two . Wagner with a vertical on the floor . He rolls in and Benoit is counted out . Wagner is back down by only one fall . Benoit staggers up and gets up on the ring apron . Wagner nails him with a Kneelift knocking him back down . Benoit hits the guardrail. He hits ribs first . Benoit gets in the ring, but just after the 10 count .
Gordon : And just like that we are tied at 3 falls a piece .
Wagner pulls Benoit up , side belly to belly !! 1…….2…..3 !!! Wagner takes the lead 4 to 3 . Wagner now works a body scissors. Benoit is fighting like hell to get to the ropes , but to no avail . Benoit taps out to try and get some relief . It’s now 5 to 3 . Wagner now works the ribs the rest of the match and still. Body slam after body slam . Elbows to the back and even using a Bearhug ! Wagner hits another belly to belly . Benoit is hurt and Wagner gets the 3 . We are now 95 seconds away . Wagner goes for another , Belly to Belly , but Benoit rolls it into a small package for 3 . Benoit is still down by two falls .
Benoit chops Wagner and the chops him again . Wagner rolls out of the ring , hoping to stay away from Benoit !!! Benoit with a spring board plauncha !! Benoit rolls in and Wagner gets counted out !!! Benoit is down by 1 . 25 seconds left . Benoit goes out after Wagner . He slams his head into the ring apron . Rolls him ………DIVING HEADBUTT BY BENIOT !!!!! 1………2………..Zbysko puts Wagner’s foot on the ropes and points it out to the ref . The ref waves off the count .
The bell rings !!!!
Gordon : Wait a minute . I’m not sure what’s going on here . I guess we have an expired time limit . Yes , yes we do . And it will be Gorgeous George Wagner gets the NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match at Great American Bash . We are out of time . See you next week .
