Midsouth Wrestling # 12 : Parade of Champions wk # 2
JR : Hello folks . It’s week 2 of the Parade of Champions Tour . Last week we had 62, 000 in the Cotton Bowl when it was all said and done , but tonight in my home state of Oklahoma here at Memorial Stadium, we have reached capacity . We start things off with the newly crowned Texas Television Champion Magnum TA in a nontitle match vs Wildfire Tommy Rich let’s go to the ring .
Magnum TA ( W/ Gary Hart ) vs Tommy Rich : Rich storms the ring . He hits TA with a dropkick and then a hard right hand. Magnum bales out . He and Hart are talking at ringside . Rich with a plauncha knocks TA down ! Rich whips him into the corner . Hart trips Rich up . Magnum with an elbow drop to the back of the head and then stomps away on Rich knocking him out of the ring . Magnum goes out and goes to whip Tommy into the ring post , but Tommy reverses !!! Magnum hits shoulder first . Tommy rolls his man back on the ring . He goes for a shoulder breaker and then, but Magnum grabs the top rope . Rich lets off the hold and dropkicks Magnum knocking him out to the floor . The ref is putting the count on Magnum who is stalling . Afa and Sika come in from behind and attack Rich . Afa lays him out with a Samoan Drop. They take their leave . Magnum gets back in the ring . Rich staggers up and Magnum hits the Belly to Belly !!!! He covers and gets 3 .
JR : Those damn Samoans . Tommy Rich will never beat Magnum TA without help from friends . Folks when we come back , Terry Gordy will take on Jerry Blackwell. This should be a slobber knocker !!!

Terry Gordy vs Jerry Blackwell : Blackwell goes into this match out numbered . Buddy Roberts and Jimmy Garvin join Terry by ringside . Blackwell though is not short of heart . The two monsters lock up in the middle of the ring and neither man has a power advantage. It’s the other of immovable force meets the irresistible object . Now they exchange punches , which brings the crowd to their feet . Blackwell is actually getting the better of the exchange, but when he goes for a clothesline , he gets the big boot from Gordy . Blackwell stumbles backward into the turnbuckles , where Gordy puts the boots to him . The ref counts to five and Gordy refuses to break . The ref finally talks Gordy into breaking before he DQ’s him . Buddy and Jimmy choke Blackwell on the corner !
They jump down and Gordy with a shoulder tackle on Blackwell and then works a seated chinlock !!! Blackwell fights to his feet and hits a makeshift Samoan Drop !!! He covers 1………2……….Noooooo !!! Gordy kicks out ! Blackwell whips Gordy in the corner and goes for a running splash , but Garvin hops up on the ring apron and the ref admonishes Garvin , Buddy slides in with a chair . Michael Hayes comes down and grabs it out of the hands of Buddy ! Then hits him with it . Garvin points . The ref turns around and sees Hayes with the chair on his hands and calls for the bell DQing , Blackwell !
JR : Talk about a damn travesty , folks . We’ll be back !

Hayes and Blackwell are with JR after the break .
Hayes : Jerry , brother , that all on me Jack ! I saw you in trouble and it cost you .
Blackwell : Michael , you always talk about getting nasty . Well , let’s get to it !!! Let’s get nasty and we show em who can be the dirtier Birds .
Hayes : Alright brother , but you gotta be willing to do things you ain’t done before .
Blackwell : I’m ready if you are !
JR : Folks looks like this battle for Freebird supremacy is just beginning . It time for the Television Tag Team Championship.
Television Tag Team Championship Brodie Lee and Iron Sheik vs The Patriot and Sgt Craig “ Pitbull “ Pitman : Patriot and Sheik start it off . Patriot hits a bodyslam and then a hiptoss . Sheik staggers up , Patriot goes a clothesline , but Sheik drops down and Patriot’s momentum carries him into the ropes , where Sheik puts the boots to him . Sheik tags off to Brodie Lee . Lee with a chokeslam / back breaker combo . Lee now hits a vertical and then tags off to Sheik . Sheik comes in and puts on the Camel Clutch .
Patriot power to his feet and falls backward into the turnbuckles . He gets the tag to Pitbull . Pitbull hits a clothesline and then a spinning neck breaker . Pitbull with a DDT and then covers 1…….2……..Sheik kicks out . Pitbull goes for a Bulldog , but Sheik pushes him off and then gets off a belly to back Suplex . Sheik now puts the boots to Pitbull . He tags in Brodie Lee . Lee goes for a Roaring Clothesline , Pitbull gets a Small Package Counter !!!! Pitbull gets 1………..2……….Bell !!!!
JR : Folks we got a time limit draw !!! Looks like these two teams need another match . We’ll be back .

Tiger Mask vs Blue Panther Jr : The two lock up , Tiger quickly spins behind his man and gets a hammer lock . Panther gets to the ropes . Tiger goes out to the middle and they lock up again . Tiger gets behind his man and gets off a release German . Tiger goes up top , flying dropkick !!! Tiger goes for a Tiger Suplex !! He gets it ! 1……..2…….3 !!!!
Post match Art Barr hits the ring . He attacks Tiger from behind and then tosses him out ! He whips Tiger into the railing . Tiger hits ribs first . Barr rolls his man back in . Barr hits a Frog Splash ! He hits another and another !! Finally security comes out . Tiger is coughing blood !!!
JR : What the hell was that all about ? We’ll be back folks !

Mike & Kevin Von Erich vs Jimmy Garvin and Buddy Roberts : All hell breaks loose quickly . Gordy gets involved which brings out Kerry . Bill Watts changes the match into a six man , but that doesn’t do any good either . All of them brawl to the back .

JR : Folks we just saw some crazy action between the Freebirds and the Von Erichs. Joining me now are Kevin , Kerry and Mike .
Kerry : Seems like all of a sudden 3 man factions are the new thing . Now the Freebirds want to mix it up . I’ll tell you what boys anytime you want us to, you got us . Next week though we are going to show the G Club what the Von Erichs are all about , then it will be me and Lex Luger one on one at the Great American Bash .
Kevin : So Luger invited me to join the G Club . He says I didn’t have much to say . Well , I got plenty to say . You see Package , everyone makes bad choices in life . David and I made ours . It had nothing to do with family . My name is not Magnum TA . I’m not so weak minded that I can be manipulated. Kerry is my brother and I’ll stand by him . Then when he beats your ass ay the Great American Bash and becomes World Heavyweight Champion, we are gonna have the biggest cook out the state of Texas has ever seen .
Mike : Next week , the G Club will find out what the Von Erichs are all about . Then at the Great American Bash , Kerry will become the World Heavyweight Champion and you know what , I think Jay White still owes me a match , so Jay White , I’m dropping the challenge brother . Get ready because I’m going to be the new NWA World Super Junior Heavyweight Champion.
JR : Folks the Midsouth Heavyweight Championship is on the line when we come back .

Midsouth Heavyweight Championship Lord Humongous vs Sgt . Slaughter : Sarge goes right on the offense . He clotheslines Humongous and then hits a running Powerslam . Humongous staggers up and Sarge goes to sink in the Cobra Clutch , but the Exalted One reaches in and grabs Sarge’s leg . Humongous now hits a big boot and then a chokeslam !!! He covers 1………2…….Noooooo !!! Sarge kicks out . Humongous now headbutts Sarge and he’s bleeding almost instantly. Humongous works a Full Nelson , which JR says he’s never seen him use that hold before . Sarge gets to the ropes. Humongous off the break goes for a clothesline , but Sarge ducks under and backdrops Humongous out of the ring . He lands in top of the Exalted One . Sarge rolls Humongous back in the ring . He gets up on the second rope ….. SLAUGHTER CANNON !!!!!! Sarge now locks in the Cobra Clutch !!! Humongous goes to one knee , then two . He falls to a seated position . The ref calls for the bell !!!!
JR : He’s done it !! Sgt . Slaughter has finally beaten Lord Humogous !!! We have a new Midsouth Heavyweight Champion!!!
Gary Michael Capetta : Fans , referee Marty Miller has put a stop to the contest . Your winner anaaaaaasnnnnnndddddd still Midsouth Heavyweight Champion, Lord Humongous !!! Sgt . Slaughter has lost too much blood !!!!

Midsouth Tag Team Titles The Minnesota Wrecking Crew vs The Rock N Roll Express : Ricky and Robert coming firing on all cylinders. Ole is in their corner and they are using their speed and quick tags to wear him down . They actually take a page out of the Anderson’s playbook and work Ole’s left arm . Fast arm drags , tagging in and out . Ricky hits a punch off the top rope onto Ole’s shoulder , while Robert holds the arm . The mistake comes when Robert tries to rush in on a move and Ole moves . Robert hits the mat and Ole clips the leg as he stands up . Now Ole and Arn are like sharks to blood .
Arn kicks at the leg and then grabs it and stretches the ham string . He tags off to Ole who uses a step over toe hold . Robert grabs behind Ole’s head and pulls him down in a small package for two . Ole kicks Robert in the chest and then sets the leg on the bottom rope and elbow drops it ! He tags back off to Arn and Arn comes on and hits an Atomic Knee Drop ! Arn goes grapevines the leg . Robert crawls to the ropes and gets the break . Robert hits an Enzuguri and gets the tag to Ricky ! Ricky with a Rana on Arn . He dropkicks Ole , who falls out of the ring . Arn is left by himself. Double Dropkick !!! Robert off the move grabs the his own leg and yells out in pain . He rolls out of the ring . Ricky has the cover 1………2…….Ole elbow drops Ricky on the back of his head . From there Arn gets up ……GORDBUSTER !!!!! Arn covers …..1……….2……..3 !!!!
JR : It’s over and the Minnesota Wrecking Crew retains folks . Robert Gibson is really hurt bad ……
Ole gets out of the ring and takes the mic from JR !
Ole : Who gives a damn if Gibson is hurt or not . NWA , Watts , Hansen , Funk , Bulldogs !!! Are we done with this Andersons vs Express nonsense now ? We are ranked number 2 in the World tag team rankings . We either want Hansen and Funk or the Bulldogs .
JR : Well , you got the Bulldogs and lost ….
Arn : Yeah and we admit that , but ask the Bulldogs how they felt the next day when they couldn’t move . I’ll bet you they didn’t feel like champions . In the back of their minds they know they got lucky . If they’re afraid then we’ll take Hansen and Funk and take the National Tag Team Championship.
Ole : Which ever way it goes . We are done playing games . Midsouth and NWA are protecting the NWA Champions from us . If we don’t get what we want soon there will be a Andersons Hell To Pay Tour . We will hurt every tag team here in Midsouth and then move on to all the other territories and hurt them until they have to face us !
Ross : Well you have an obligation to defend the Midsouth Tag Team Titles .
Arn : Ok , we defended them , so we’ll do it again . Hurt someone else and then we will get our shot . If this is what they want , this is what they will get . Hogan , Savage ! What about you . You want these belts . Let’s see who the better team is and then maybe we’ll get some damn respect around here .

NWA National Heavyweight Championship Kevin Owens vs The Great Kabuki ( w/ Gary Hart ) : Owens at first tries lock up , but Kabuki is not having it . He kicks at Owens and then uses short chopping hand strikes to the side of Owens head . He then takes the eyes and strikes Owens in the chest against the ropes with a forearm . Kabuki hits a side kick to the head of Owens and covers . 1……2……Nooooo !! Owens gets a foot on the ropes . Kabuki goes to pull his man up , but Owens hits a firemen’s carry and then a big bodyslam . Owens with a back senton . Owens with a Uranagi and then an STO ! He covers 1……..2…….Hart puts Kabuki’s foot on the ropes . Owens turns and looks at Hart and Kabuki lands a chop to the back of Owen’s neck .
Kabuki now stomps away on Owens . He locks in a double pinch nerve hold in the left side of Owens neck . Owens scoots to the ropes and Kabuki stomps away on him . This seems to piss off Owens . He lets his hands fly and gets to his feet . Dropkick by Owens sends Kabuki to the corner . Owens hits a Superplex and then a Buckle Bomb ! Owens goes for Piledriver , but Hart out of ref’s site trips him up . Kabuki gets off standing side kick and then a hook kick . He covers 1………2…….Owens gets a foot on the ropes . Kabuki sets up for a high kick , but Owens ducks under and gets off a Stunner !!!!! He covers 1……….2……….3 !!!!
Owens rolls out of the ring . He joins JR by ringside .
JR : Kevin Owens retains the National Heavyweight Championship. Kevin that was a hell of a match .
Owens : Ugh , every inch of me hurts JR . Had I not got the stunner when I did , Kabuki about 5 minutes later would be standing on this spot . He’s a tough , tough man and knows how to use every trick on his arsenal.
JR : Now you got the Great American Bash coming up , it looks like challengers are already lining up .
Owens : Yeah , I’ve already heard from Kurt Angle . He says he wants to wrestle . Well , I like to fight . I came from nothing and fought all my life . He wants to wrestle , I’ll wrestle him , I’ve beaten the best so far and will continue to do it . Angle see you on July 4th .
Harley Race comes out .
Race : I got a lot going on . I’m running up against Bockwinkle and Valentine , but I see you out here talking about you like to fight . Well , Mr . Owens the man you beat tonight , wasn’t ranked in the top ten . I am though . You want to fight . Face me and I’ll give you the fight of your life .
Kevin Owens : Harley , anytime , anyplace . The Louisiana Superdome for me works just fine next week . What do you think ?

The Iron Sheik and The Exalted One put their Television Tag Team Titles on the line in a rematch against The Patriot and Sgt . Craig Pitbull Pittman .
The NWA World Television Champion Roddy Piper will take on Cactus Jack .
Folks this is a big one The Minnesota Wrecking Crew , will get what they asked for the National Tag Team Championship match as they go up against Stan Hansen and Terry Funk !!!
From there we have a Boot Camp Match for the Midsouth Heavyweight Championship. Sgt . Slaughter gets one last try vs Lord Humongous . The man who can’t answer the 10 count is the winner . No rules , no count outs and The Exalted One and the Dark Order will be banned from the building during this match .
Then we have that big six man tag team match . The Von Erichs taking on the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger and the G Club . If the Von Erich’s win , Kerry will get a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at Texas Stadium for the Great American Bash .
Finally the match that was just made . The NWA National Heavyweight Champion Kevin Owens returning here to take on Harley Race ! We will see next week folks !!!
