 Matt Riddle: "Since the inception of Gateway Championship Wrestling,  Jeff Cobb and I have been beating each other silly Bro! But tonight we get to step into that tag team gauntlet match and beat on other people! And after we win it, Bro..... we are coming for you Tully Blanchard and Randy Orton!"        





Paul.Roma: "Everybody is talking about how great the tag team division is in the NWA! But clearly,  they should be talking about us..... Power & Glory! And after tonight, we promise they will be!"                





 James Storm: "We heard there was a gauntlet match tonight. But Beer Money had other plans. We was going to Crack a few cold ones..... until we heard that Power and Glory was in the match. Now we are coming for them. You boys wanna be the #1 contenders to the Gateway tag team titles....... well.... Sorry about your damned luck!"            




 JBL: "There's alot of teams doing alot of talking going into this gauntlet match! They say they like to drink beer! Or the other team says their looking to beat somebody up. Well..... who knows more about drinking and beating people up than the APA? Count us in boys!"              














Gorilla Monsoon; "Hello once again wrestling fans! Gorilla Monsoon here and you seen what's at stake tonight...... a tag team gauntlet match, where the winners will become the #1 contenders to the tag team champs, Randy Orton and Tully Blanchard! Brain I would ask you to predict a winner, but im.shocked your actually here?"          

 Bobby Heenan: "Why wouldn't I be here?                

 Gorilla Monsoon: "After what you paid those henchman to do to Larry Hennig? I have it on high authority, that Mr. Perfect can't wait to get his hands on you!"            

Bobby Heenan: "Have you seen who I have in the Heenan Family? The IWGP tag champions..... The Faces of Fear! The Gateway Heavyweight Champion...... MJF! And if they wasn't enough..... I have the MurderHawk.... Lance Archer! Trust me..... Not so Perfect doesn't want that kind of trouble!"    

Gorilla Monsoon: "Please!! Are you kidding? Well then do you care to do your job here tonight? Pick us a winner of the gauntlet match!"                  

 Bobby Heenan: "Are the Faces of Fear in it?"            

 Gorilla Monsoon: "NO they are not!"                

 Bobby Heenan: "Then I don't care who wins!"                

  Gorilla Monsoon: "It looks like another long night ahead as long as this piece of work is around fans! Let's get up to the ring for our opening contest!"                






 Ricochet vs Austin Theory        

Theory stomps Ricochet down at the start of the match and connects with a fallaway slam. Ricochet fights back and sends Theory to the corner. Ricochet knees him back and hits a springboard clothesline. Ricochet connects with a standing shooting star press for a two-count. Theory tries to fight back, but Ricochet floors him with an enzuigiri. Ricochet goes to the top rope, but Theory crotches him up there. Theory connects with an ATL for the win.

Uhua Nation vs Drew McIntyre                        

They worked some basics early, with Nation focusing his efforts on the arm. McIntyre would constantly try to roll out or escape, but Nation would hold on, so McIntyre had to use strikes to finally escape. They had some good near falls, Nation got to show off his speed and power. The finish saw McIntyre  counter a backslide into the future shock DDT for the win. As the replay is shown, Gene Okerlund joins McIntyre at ringside.......



Gene Okerlund: "We are just weeks away from the hottest event of the Summer..... The Great American Bash! And after last week, I can announce that the first match has been signed..... as the NWA World TV champion,  Roddy Piper will defend against Drew McIntyre! But many people are surprised you didn't want the match sooner?"            



  Drew McIntyre: "Why? Can't you see? The odds are clearly in my favor! For the next eight weeks I get to train specifically for that match. I get to watch film and take in every match Piper has between now and then. Think about it Gene..... Piper is going to have them lining up from all over the NWA to get at that title. He's already pissed David Schultz off! If for some reason he gets hurt between mow and then...... he's easy prey for me! There's no way he will be at 100% by then. But you can bet I will be!"

As we come back from.break we see....





 Buff Bagwell: "I'm Buff..... I'm the stuff...... and the girls just can't get enough! What happened to me at the Rumble was an outrage! That ignorant Ultimate Warrior eliminated me when I clearly wasn't ready. Just because I was embarrassing him during our pose off! I mean look at me...... IM BUFF! And the Warrior..... well he could clearly use some time in the gym! If he ever crosses my path again, it's going to be bad. Because I can beat him in a pose down, a wrestling match, whatever he.......:          







Warrior charges the ring and Buff goes after him bit Warrior ducks one clothesline...... then ducks another. Warrior rebounds off  the ropes with a flying shoulder tackle! Warrior press slams Bagwell over his head and drops him chest first to the mat. Warrior hits a dive then puts one foot on Bagwell as the ref counts three!

 Tag Team Gauntlet: APA vs Beer Money                          

Ron Simmons and Storm get things going with Simmons taking over on the cowboy. A shoulder puts Storm down and a flying headbutt gets an early two. Roode gets in a cheap shot from the apron and takes over with a knee drop for two on Simmons.  JBL comes in to stare at Roode.

Off to JBL legally for a slugout with Roode, whose clothesline has no effect. A forearm finally puts JBL down so he rips the skin off Roode’s chest with some chops. JBL goes hits a big release German suplex and the side slam/legdrop combo gets two on Roode. Somehow Roode just pops up though and goes after Simmons, only to have the Beer Money suplex blocked by JBL, allowing Simmons to clothesline both of them down.

Roode gets Simmons to chase him though and crotches him against the post to give Beer Money their first real advantage. They take turns with their choking until Roode hits the chinlock. Simmons finally fights up and backdrops Storm down, allowing for the tag off to JBL.  The Bomb gets two on Roode but Storm knocks Jbl away leaving Roode to only take the flapjack then nails Roode. That earns JBL a spinebuster from Roode for two and things settle down a bit.

Now the double suplex puts JBL down and  Cue Power & Glory coming to the ring early,  who have been having issues with Beer Money lately to join in on commentary. Simmons finally comes in off the hot tag to clean house, including a clothesline for two on Roode. A chokeslam gets two on Storm as everything breaks down again. James pops up for a high cross body to both APA and Roode escapes a Doomsday Device attempt.

Storm’s top rope hurricanrana sets up Roode’s splash for two more as the fans are way into this now. Beer Money load up a double superplex but JBL makes a save and sets up the Doomsday Device for another near fall on Roode. 3D puts Roode down again but Hercules distracts the referee. JBL goes up top and dives on Power and Glory only to cause Beer Money to nail DWI on Simmons for the pin. Beer Money advance.  Next team in is...... Power and Glory!





Tag Team Gauntlet: Beer Money vs Power & Glory                    

Storm wants a test-of-strength, but Roma stalls. They finally lock-up, and Storm wins that without much trouble. Roma cheats to escape and hammers away with rights. Irish whip is reversed, and Storm sends Roma running following a dropkick. Cat-and-mouse game, and Roma pounds away again. Irish whip, and Storm surprises Roma with a neck breaker. Storm with a snapmare, followed by a fist drop for a two count. Roode and Hercules go at it, now. Hercules floors Roode with a clothesline and pounds away in the corner. Roode comes bouncing back with a clothesline of his own, and Storm tags back in to do a lot of punching. Hercules no-sells and takes control following an inverted atomic drop. Punch-punch-punch, Storm no-sells and rams Herc into the buckle ten times. Roma tags back in, and Storm gets trapped in the heel corner and double teamed. Roma manages to get Storm up for a piledriver. Storm no sells though, and press slams Roma into the heavens before throwing him on top of Hercules. Storm to the top rope, but he misses a clothesline. P&G work him over outside the ring for a while before taking it back into the ring. Hercules with some clubbering blows and drops Storm throat-first across the top rope. Whip to the corner, and a collision puts both men down. Roode with the hot tag, and he nails Roma with his diving shoulder tackle. Whip to the corner, and Roode with a stiff clothesline, followed by a dropkick to Hercules. Irish whip, and Roode with a powerbomb to Roma for a two count. Pier-six brawl! Roma with a slam on Roode. Hercules pulls Storm.off the ring apron and shoulder first into the steel post. Herc sets Roode on the turnbuckles...... HERC SUPLEXES ROODE OFF AS ROMA LEAPS OFF THE OPPOSITE CORNER WITH A SPLASH FOR THE WIN!



Tag Team Gauntlet Finals: The Chosen Bros vs Power & Glory    

Roma and Riddle start off but the fans starting chanting for the power houses! In come Hercules and Cobb!  Herc and Cobb are trading shoulder tackles! Herc tags in Roma, who is working Cobb with stiff uppercuts, but Cobb powers Roma to his corner and tags Riddle! These two are trading strikes! Blind tag by Cobb, and Riddle hits a bicycle knee! Bros. are working Roma in the corner. Cobb tags Riddle and Riddle works kicks on Roma but Roma counters a Broton into a sleeper! Riddle tags Cobb, and they hit the German/Chest Kick Combo! Roma is being PUNISHED by Riddle. Roma hits enzuigiris to the Bros, and tags Herc! Hercules is cleaning house, killing the Bros with Lariats, Big Boots, and Suplexes! Herc decapitated Cobb with a lariat. Herc tags Roma in, and he immediately takes out Riddle. Everyone is fighting everyone! Roma is beating down Cobb. Power and Glory hits two Butterfly Suplexes to Cobb. Roma comes in and applies a Single Leg Crab, and stomps the back of Cobb’s head. HERCULES KILLED MATT RIDDLE WITH A BIG BOOT!

Cobb goes to tag Riddle, but Roma takes Riddle off the apron at the last second! Herc hits a shotgun dropkick and a Powerbomb to Cobb!  COBB GETS THE HOT TAG TO RIDDLE!! RIDDLE TAKES IT TO HERCULES!!! BRO TO SLEEP/GERMAN SUPLEX COMBO BY RIDDLE!! BROTON TO ROMA AND HERC!! Riddle is roundhouse kicking Power andGlory! Now Power and Glory is destroying Riddle!  COBB HAS HERCULES IN THE ELECTRIC CHAIR!! DOOMSDAY KNEE BY THE CHOSEN BROS!!!!!! Rocket Launcher!! Bro To Sleep to Roma! 1...... 2........3!!! The Chosen Bros are the #1 contenders to the Gateway tag team titles!
