Subject: UWF Halloween Havoc: Spin the Wheel..... Make the Deal Fri Oct 20, 2023 1:15 pm
PRESENTS:
Location: The Chesapeake Center, Oklahoma City OK
Jim Ross: "The witching season is upon us wrestling fans and truer words can't be spoken as we come into your homes for Halloween Havoc! I'm your host Jim Ross and do we have a Slobberknocker of a show lined up for you. Ten huge matches, headlined by Kerry Von Erich defending the UWF Heavyweight title against "The Total Package" Lex Luger! But we don't know what kind of match it will be yet. That is until they Spin the Wheel and Make the Deal. My broadcast colleague, Christy Hemme is by the wheel now!"
Christy Hemme: "That's right JR! Someone's life could be changed forever after tonight. I mean just look at the possibilities on this wheel...... there's a cage match...... a Texas Death match.......Submission match and lots more! What match will see? We are going to find out later when the champion, Kerry Von Erich comes out to Spin the Wheel. But right now, it's time for our opening contest of Halloween Havoc!"
Match One: Tito Santana vs "Gorgeous " Jimmy Garvin
Garvin used his power early on with punches and a back elbow. Garvin with punches to the ribs. Santana ran the ropes with a running cross body block for two. Garvin was back up with a punch. Santana with a sunset flip for two. Santana with a backslide pin for two. Santana with a hard whip into the turnbuckle and Santana applied an armbar on the mat. Garvin powered out of that and picked up Santana like a body slam into the top rope. Garvin with a clothesline along with a knee drop. Garvin with a powerslam by the ropes for the pinfall, 1.......2...... Tito’s foot was on the rope. Garvin jumps up celebrating as the ref tries telling him it wasn't a three count. Garvin continues to celebrate when Precious finally gets his attention. Tito got back up leading to a flying forearm into Garvin. Santana covers for the pinfall win!
Jim Ross: "Garvins arrogance was his downfall on this bout fans! And Santana continues his undefeated streak here in the UWF! The future is bright for Santana if you ask me.:
Match Two: "Hacksaw" Butch Reed vs Powerhouse Hobbs
Both competitors showed their strength by taking each other down to the mat after early lock-ups. Reed unleashed a barrage of corner strikes, but when he attempted a lariat, Hobbs stood his ground and responded with a lariat of his own. Reed quickly rebounded with a precise dropkick, using his agility to his advantage. Hobbs, on the other hand, relied on his incredible power, executing an overhead belly-to-belly throw and maintaining control with another powerful throw.
Hobbs missed a corner charge and ended up outside the ring, where Reed met him with a clothesline off the apron. Reec wasted no time driving Hobbs repeatedly into the railing, but Hobbs slapped Reed in the face and attempted to wear him down upon returning to the ring. Reec fought back, and both men collided with force as they charged into the ropes. Reed delivered a series of lariats, with Hobbs refusing to go down until Reed wound up and finally dropped him.
Reed unleashed 10 corner forearms in the ropes until Hobbs countered and executed a front face suplex in the ring. Hobbs attempted to climb the ropes, but Reed intercepted him and executed a massive superplex that had the crowd on their feet. Reed landed his dropkick but missed a second one, allowing Hobbs to respond with a spinning powerslam for a two-count. Hobbs retaliated to the earlier lariats by delivering multiple lariats of his own, but Reed ultimately flattened him with one of his own and followed up with the drop kick for another two-count.
Reed signaled for the end but Hobbs summoned the strength to power up and he backpacked Reed and drove him into the corner. Hobbs caught a leaping Reec with a spinebuster, 1.......2........NO! Hobbs attempted to apply A camel clutch but Reed countered with a spinebuster of his own before climbing the turnbuckles....... and flying off, nailing Hobbs with a flying shoulder tackle off the top rope to get the victory! Hobbs rolls out of the ring as Reed celebrated. Hobbs has a chair...... and nails Reed in the back with it several times. Reed is down on the mat as Hobbs rolls out of the ring looking under the ring for something. Hobbs pulls out a can of paint. Hobbs gets in the ring and paints a yellow streak down Reeds back as officials come to break it up and send Hobbs to the back.
Jim Ross: "Powerhouse Hobbs is a Blue chipper! But he has a mean streak wider than his back, and that's saying something! But he may have made a very vital mistake by painting the yellow streak down Hacksaw Butch Reed's back, because you can damned sure bet Hacksaw will be looking for retribution sooner than later!
Fans, joining me at this time is Jim Cornette and the UWF tag team champions! James E..... your team defends the titles tonight against The Hart Foundation!"
Jim Cornette: "And you better believe the greatest tag team in all of pro wrestling...... The Midnight Express...... is ready! And after we beat the Hart Foundation here tonight and we finally wash all the grease off their bodies from Bret Harts hair, we are going after those NWA World tag team titles! It doesn't matter if it's those drunk rednecks, The Freebirds or the Village People rejects, The Road Warriors! My Mommas favorite tag team is going to....... well looky here! And just what can I do for you?"
The cameras pick up Michael Hayes walk into the interview area.
Michael Hayes: "Ya know something Cirnette..... your just like the Devils Duo and the Jerry Blackwell and Ken Patetas of the world..... talking all this shot about wanting a title shot, but never being big enough to step up and get one! How long have the Midnight Express been the #1 Contenders? And how many times have they walked down Badstreet and knocked on our door? Quite honestly, I'm sick of hearing it!"
Jim Cornette: "Well what are you gonna do about it Prissy Sissy?"
Michael Hayes: "Its now what I'm gonna do about it Jack! It's what WE are gonna do!"
Terry Gordy nails Dennis Condrey in the back of the head with a Jack Daniels bottle while Hayes nails Cornette with a left jab! Then Gordy and Jimmy Garvin double team Dennis Condrey until security rushes out to break things up!
Jim Ross: "WE NEED SOME HELP OUT HERE! DENNIS CONDREY IS SEVERELY LACERATED! Folks, security is checking on Bobby Eaton and Jim Cornette, but it's the condition of Dennis Condrey that I'm worried about. What does this do for our UWF tag team title match tonight?"
Match Three: Cactus Jack vs Abdullah the Butcher w/Gary Hart (Falls Count Anywhere Match)
Gary Hart leads Abdullah to the ring like hes in a hurry to get this match started. Then Cactus makes his way out. Both guys spill out to ringside and the bell rings as Jim Ross reminds the tv audience that Abdullah cost Cactus the world tv title back at Heatwave. Jack continues to chase Abdullah with a shovel and looks to hit him with it but Abdullah moves out of the way in the nick of time. Abdullah slides back into the ring as the referee looks to take the shovel away from Cactus Jack. Abdullah then kicks Jack in the midsection. Abdullah then jumps down to the floor and begins the onslaught on Cactus Jack. He is laying in the rights to the face of Jack uo against the steel guardrail. Abby then drives Jack face frist into the steel guardrail followed up with choking him out with the electrical cord. Abdullah then sends Jack face first again into the steel guardrail before stabbing him in the face with his fork. Jack begins to fight back as he blocks two attempts from Abdullah trying to deive him face first into the guardrail. Jsck then lays in the rights and headbutts him before driving him into the steel guardrail on the opposite side of the ring. The finish of the match sees Cactus Jack hit Abby with the Shovel and Abby falls to the floor. Cactus flies off the ringspron with a flying elbowdrop! 1.......2......3!
One would believe that the carnage would stop there. But Cactus and Abdullah continue their fight all the way backstage.
Gary Hart: "At this time, my team of the Hary Foundation are scheduled to have a UWF tag team title shot! I demand a referee to get out here and start that match right now!"
The Hart Foundation make their way to the ring g as a ref comes out to explain to Gary Hart that Dennis Condrey is injured from the attack of the Freebirds.
Jim Ross: "So this is why Hart was in such a hurry during the Cactus and Abdullah match? To get this match started? He knows damned well that Condtey is in no shape to compete!"
Inside the ring, Hart and the reg are still discussing if this match is happening. Hart is adamant that he has a signed contract for tonight and if the Express can't compete then they forfeit the match! This brings out Bobby Eaton by himself....... he informs the ref that he will defend the titles by himself! The ref clarifies if he wants to do that and Eaton says yes and we have our tag team title match!
Match Four: The Midnight Express vs The Hart Foundation for the UWF Tag team titles
Eaton charges the ring and hits Bret in the face, send Bret out if the ring. Eaton dropkicks Niedhart. Bodyslam by Eaton followed by a kneedrop for a 2 count. Niedhart tags Bret in who delivers a knee to Eatons midsection. Eaton responds with a dropkick to Bret as the fans go wild.
Gary Hart Huddles his men up and regroups with some advice. Bret back in and Eaton gets him down, controlling Brets leg. Keeping him grounded. But it doesn't take long for the Foundation to get their wits to them and begin working Eaton over with quick tags in and out, capitalizing on the time they get to double team Eaton. The Foundation just pound away at Eaton in their corner for several minutes. Bret whips Eaton into the ropes, but Eaton sunset flips Bret, but Bret makes the tag on the way down to Niedhart. And the Foundation continue to beat on Eaton. Then the crowd erupts as we see a bloody and bandaged Dennis Condrey making his way to the ring. Jim Cornette is pleading for Condrey to not go to the ring but Condrey won't have it.
Condrey jumps on the ring apron and the Foundation let Eaton go and Condrey blind tags in. Condtey does his best to fight off Bret and Niedhart. But like sharks to bloody waters, the Foundation swarm Condrey...... pounding his bloodied head. Niedhart tags Bret who climbs the turnbuckles....... SPIKED PILEDRIVER BY THE HART FOUNDATION! Now the Foundation taunt Eaton on the apron. Their gonna piledrive Condrey again...... but Eaton storms the ring. The ref tries to stop him and then at that moment Eaton drops over Condrey and waves the match off! Eaton has surrendered the match to save his partner!
YOUR WINNERS....... AND NEWWWWW UWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS....... THE HART FOUNDATION!
Jim Ross: "What a damned shame! Just a damned shame! How many times can Gary Hart fall in a pile of shit and come out smelling like roses? Nonetheless he adds yet more gold to his Family as the Hart Foundation are your new UWF tag team champions!"
Match Five: Iceman King Parsons vs Stan Hansen (Bullrope Match for the UWF TV Title)
After the introductions are done, Tito Santana enters the ring and takes the housemic. Santana says he respects both men, but regardless of who wins, he would like to challenge them for the tv title on Black Friday. Santana shakes Icemsns hand and wishes him luck. Santana offers his hand to Hansen, but the big Texan spots his chewing tobacco on Santanas hand!
Hansen obviously jumps Iceman as the referee is finishing tying Parson’s wrist. Headbutt from Stan and Iceman goes flying. Hansen’s intensity forcing Parsons to up his own and he rallies after Stan misses an elbow drop.
Iceman with a back elbow and a slam, then drives a forearm down. Hansen firing back to the midsection. Parsons chokes Hansen with the rope and they spill to the floor, where Hansen sends Iceman into the railing and whacks him with a steel chair across the back.
Back in and Iceman is fighting with all he’s got, including breaking out a headbutt. Iceman hits a clothesline and goes for a pin on instinct, but this is four corners. Iceman gets two corners, but Hansen gets him from behind and drops him with a back suplex.
Hansen hangs Parsons over the top rope with Iceman dangling above the floor, off the apron. After that, Hansen smashes Iceman into the ring post, then they head back into the ring, Stan in control. He drops a quick elbow, getting a short lift off the bottom rope.
Hansen touches two corners easily, and then gets the third despite Parsons trying his best to pull him back. So Iceman explodes up with a clothesline, but Stan chokes him down only for Parsons to get a knee up to hit Stan in the head three times and break the choke.
Hansen gets ejected out to the floor and Iceman goes after him, sledging the upper back and laying in a right to the jaw. Iceman pulls the rope and Hansen shoulders the post. Iceman all fired up! After a few more shots outside, we go back in. Iceman does three quick legdrops in the corner. He’s got Stan’s hands tied up and is trying to drag the big man through the corners. Icemsn gets two, kicks Hansen down, and touches the third corner.
Crowd goes nuts when Iceman gets the fourth corner!!!! But...... The referee got drilled at the same time, and Hansen gets his boot off to bonk Iceman on the head. Hansen trying to wake the ref. Hansen touches one corner! Two corners! Third corner!! But now Santana comes in. He’s helping the ref. Hansen takes his foot and kicks Santana. Tito rises up...... flying forearm to Hansen who falls into the corner! The ref calls for the bell and hands Hansen his title! And still UWF TV CHAMPION...... STAN HANSEN!
Jim Ross: "Santana coming to the aid of the ref there and getting caught up in the heat if the moment let's Hansen leave here tonight with the UWF TV Title intact. But it looks like there's a new challenger waiting in line in one Tito Santana!"
Christy Hemme: "Alright wrestling fans..... it's that time of the evening! It's time to Spin the Wheel! Please help me welcome the UWF Heavyweight champion....... Kerry Von Erich! Kerry, you see the choices all around the wheel. Give it a spin and see your fate!"
Von Erich spins the wheel as the fans buzz in anticipation. After a few seconds the wheel lands on........
Christy Hemme: "OH wow...... Tables, Ladders, and Chairs! This definitely has to be outside your comfort zone champ?"
Kerry Von Erich: "Its definitely a match I've never participated in. But as unfamiliar with it as I am, I'm gonna say Luger is at just a disadvantage as me! This match is no different than any other for me Christy..... do whatever it takes to retain this UWF Heavyweight title!"
Match Six: Mr. Perfect vs Chris Adams w/Gary Hart for the NWA World tv title
Adams with a surprise dropkick and bodyslam for a quick pinfall at the start. The beginning of the match is trying to tell the story that Hennig is Adams equal on the mat that not only can he withstand the punishment, but keep up. Adams takes advantage of Curt's bumping abilities when Perfect does a backroll into a standing position off a shouldertackle and Adams snaps him over with a side headlock takedown. In an armabr, he places his knee on Adamss head. Perfect keeps going back to the arm and ends up applying the short arm scissors. Adams slapping his hand from going numb.
Adams lays in the first heavy blows of the match as he is starting to feel that pressure and is looking to change gears and see if he can shake up the challenger. Hennig sticks with arm and now goes rolling short arm scissors. Adams pulls the tights and Perfect is forced to break the hold or be pinned. Adams now takes a walk to reset. Adams is going to try every trick in the book to rattle Perfect. Hennig to his credit stays calm and collected. Adams executed a drop toe hold and rolls right up into a leg scissors crab. He wrenches it and Perfect is writhing in pain. Perfect says two can play at this game and he yanks the hair to crossface Adams and then attack the arm. Hennig kneedrops the arm, which further damages the knee. Adams pounces on this mistake. They roll to the apron and Adams starts burying knees into Hennig forcing him outside. Adams pops him in the crowd with a nasty forearm. Perfect takes the bump into the Sleeper! They both tumble out with the ref. Perfect sends Adams flying with a chop in the ring followed by the Perfectplex but there is no ref! Perfect again to his credit stays focused and wrenches the arm against the post while Adams is trying to work an angle into a figure-4. Adams begins to use his counteroffensive the quick jabs to the midsection to stun his opponent and set up pinning opportunities. Perfect trips up Adams up and wrenches his knee around the post. He is selling his own knee at the same time! Adams tries the bodyslamd, but his knee gives out. He is able to execute a piledriver, but it is too close to the ropes. He jumps back on Perfects knee, but as he rears back Perfect applies a crossface and headbutts him off. Now we get the big Hennig bumrush of hot nearfalls that whips everyone into a frenzy, chop and piledriver! Adams looks totally overwhelmed by the offense of Perfect. Just when it looks like Perfect may get the submission with the spinning toe hold, Adams shoves him off with his foot and Hennig is sent careening into post. He is dazed, confused and bloody.
Adams attack the wound of Hennig. Adams gets him back in the ring where his teeing off until THE AXE! Perfect hits the AXE! Perfect is bleeding profusely, but he will not be denied. Multiple Axes now and it looks like Adams may have bladed hard to tell as Hennig is bleeding buckets.
But Hennig hots a single leg take down inyo the figure four! Adams is struggling to get out and The crowd is all standing. Gary Hart reaches in and rakes the eyes of Perfect, breaking the hold. Perfect gers up and reaches over the ropes, pulling Hart onto the ringapron. Adams leg is killing him but he hobbles up and rolls Perfect up for the pinfall. Adams slumps in the corner as Hart hands him his NWA World tv title then we hear.....
It's the Gold Rush contract holder...... Shelton Benjamin! The crowd pops as Benjamin makes his way towards the ring. Hart is trying adamantly to get Adams out of the ring. Shelton is in the ring. The ref asks if he's cashing in...... but before he can answer, Gary Hart sacrifices himself. Hart slaps Benjamin as Adams takes his title and rolls out of the ring. Benjamin nails Hart with a punch to the jaw. Shelton climbs the turnbuckles watching Adams get away...... for now!
Jim Ross: "You just have to believe that Chris Adams is running out of lives and sooner than later, Shelton Benjamin is going to cash that Gold Rush contract in. Fans, as you can see they are lowering the steel cage for our next matchup."
Jim Ross: "While the ring crew finishes that up we want to show you a very emotional interview I did with Hacksaw Jim Duggan in his home this past week. Let's go to that footage now......"
Jim Ross: "Wrestling fans, I'm on location here in New York, at the beautiful home of Hacksaw Jim Duggan. But Jim, I wish this was just a social call..... but it isn't. We gave had thousands of messages from concerned fans, wanting to know your condition after Skandar Akbar throwing the fireball in your face."
Hacksaw Duggan: "Well Jim, as you can see it's not a pretty sight! But I sit here a lucky man because while there's significant damage to my face area, luckily for me the eye wasn't completely damaged. And since the attack of Akbar and Kamala, I've gad time to reflect. I've built this home through professional wrestling. I've watched my girls grow up to be beautiful women. And I have the best wife a man can ask for. And after talking with the doctors and discussing options with my family...... ya know I was this close to not being able to see them again. Being blinded for life! You have to excuse me Jim. This is really hard for me. But after talking with my doctor, he thinks it's time for me yo step away from the ring yo save my eyesight! And as much as I love the great fans..... my family comes first!
I also hold an obligation to my great fans. So I got with Bill Watts and I know the UWF will be holding a big event on Thanksgiving weekend. I've asked Bill for a spot on that event so I can personally come say goodbye to all the great fans!"
Jim Ross: "I've known you many years! Your as tough as they come. And one if the most genuine men I've ever met. I'm damned proud to call you a friend! I'm gonna hate to see you go..... but I understand the circumstances! Fans a sad day here in the Duggan home!"
Match Seven: Road Warriors vs The Freebirds for the NWA World tag team titles (Steel Cage Match)
"Freebird" plays over the past system and the fans damn near riot as the world tag champ make their way inside the cage. Then we hear "Iron Man" play and the Warriors rush the cage. The Warriors blitz the Birds with heated fury, knocking Hayes and Gordy all around the ring. The Birds try to retreat out of the cage but the Warriors are having none of that. Gordy finally gets control for his team working Animal over in the corner. But Hawk gives zero shots and storms the ring and nails Hayes with a shoulder tackle. Gordy bodyslams Animal. Then the Birds double team him. But no matter what the Birds do the Warriors fight right back. Hayes with a sleeper on Hawk until Hawk gets the hot tag to Animal who hots his patented powerslam on Gordy. Now all 4 men in. Outside the cage, Jimmy Garvin is trying to open the cage door. But the ref stops him. Then we see.......
Skandar Akbar leading the Killer Elite Squad to ringside. Archer and Davey Jr hold the ref whole Akbar reaches into the refs pockets snd gets the cage door keys. The door is open! Akbar hands the Elite Squad some handcuffs. The Squad enter the cage and attack The Warriors! Then Archer and Smith handcuff Animals arms to the top rope. The Birds are pounding away on Hawk. Then the Elite Squad join the Birds in beating Hawk down. Animal is trying to get to his partner but he's handcuffed on the other side of the ring. Now the Birds handcuff Animal to the ropes and pound on him even more. Hawk is busted open. A few undercard guys come to the cage to try and help the Warriors but the Birds and Elite Squad just kick their asses too. The beating continues to the handcuffed Warriors who finally succumb to the beating. The Birds high five The Elite Squad and laugh it over with Akbar before leaving the ring and the Warriors laying in a pool of their own blood.
Jim Ross: "Fans, I will be honest with you. No way in Hell did I think the Freebirds was leaving this cage tonight still the NWA World tag team champions. But they had an Ace in the Hole so to speak in Skandar Akbar of all people and his Killer Elite Squad! I've followed the careers of the Road Warriors a long time and I have never seen anyone dismantle them like the Killer Elite Squad just did! All Hell has broke loose here tonight!
Main Event: Kerry Von Erich vs Lex Luger TLC Match for the UWF Heavyweight title
They brawled early on as Kerry hit shoulder tackles. Luger with a hard slap. Kerry punched him and Luger nailed a neckbreaker. Kerry avoided a chair shot and hit a suplex. Luger avoided a corner charge and hit the powerslam. Luger opened up two chairs in the ring, Von Erich went for a move, Luger slipped out and hit a reverse DDT onto the chairs. Kerry knocked Luger down when he climbed a ladder, but Luger came back with a clothesline. Luger hit a dropkick off the barricade while a ladder was set up against Kerrys face. A ladder was set up against the turnbuckle, so Von Erich hit a hip toss that sent Luger onto the ladder. Kerry teased putting Luger through two tables outside the ring, they brawled on the apron, Luger nailed a forearm and Von Erich tripped him up on the top turnbuckle. They did a spot out of the corner where it was going to be a Luger powerbomb through a table, but With the table still there, Luger gave Von Erich a powerslam through the table. Kerry was on the floor, so Luger ran across a ladder that was against the turnbuckle and jumped over the top to take him out.
Back in the ring, Luger hit Kerry in the back with a hard chair shot. Kerry with a flipping neckbreaker sent Luger face first into a steel chair that was on the mat. Kerry applied the Claw on Luger while he was trapped in between the ladder. Luger tapped out, but it doesn’t mean anything in this match. Kerry hit Luger in the face with the top of the ladder and then slammed the ladder onto Luger. Spinning slam by Von Erich, then he climbed the ladder and hit a fist drop off the ladder. Von Erich set up a table in the ring. Luger had a chair and nailed Kerry in the head with a stiff chair shot. Von Erich was on a table, Luger put another table on him and went up top, but Kerry punched him to stop that.
Von Erich grabbed a bigger ladder from under the ring. He set it up in the middle of the ring while Luger was still in the floor. Kerry slowly climbed...... Luger jumped off another ladder and hit a Spear to knock Kerry down. Luger up the ladder..... Kerry got up. Luger jumped in his arms and Von Erich gave him a Powerbomb into a ladder that was set up in the corner. With Luger on the floor, Kerry nailed him in the head with a chair shot. Von Erich climbed the ladder, got his hands on it and then we see......
Sid tilted the ladder so that Kerry fell back backwards right into a table outside the ring. Luger crawled back into the ring first. Kerry got back into the ring as Luger reached near the top of the ladder. Sid hit Kerry in the back with a chair, but Kerry bounced into the ladder and that sent Luger crashing through two tables that were outside the ring!!!
Kerry hit a duscuss punch to Sid to send him out of the ring. HERE COMES STING!!!!
Sting kicks Sid in the midsection then him snd Sid brawl all the way backstage. Kerry set up the ladder for the climb. Luger was able to crawl back up. Kerry put Luger on his shoulders and gave him a fireman's carry through two stacked tables that they set up beside the ladder. Kerry grabbed the title, looked down at Luger and brought the title down to win the match!
Jim Ross: "MY GAWD! What a match! We wasn't sure how either man would react to being involved in a TLC Match, but bygawd if they didn't bring it! But a lot of questions left to be answered...... why was Sid Vicious out here? Where does the Sting/Luger friendship stand? And what's next for Von Erich? Fans, we are almost out of time! We thank you for spending your evening with us! We will see you next week for more UWF action!"
