As the show opens up we see the NWA World tag team champions, The Freebirds, making their way to the ring.....
Rocky King & George South vs The Freebirds
Hayes is his usual showoff self, as he moonwalk and flirts with the gals at ringside as Gordy on the other hand is in a really foul mood and makes this short work as he puts South in the Oriental Spike to get the submission win.
Jim Ross: "Hello wrestling fans and thanks for joining us tonight. We are one week away from UWF Heat Wave, where these men, The Freebirds will defend the NWA World tag team titles against The Road Warriors!"
Michael Hayes: "Jim Ross it's real....."
Terry Gordy: "Hold on a minute Michael! Ya know I love ya like a Brother. But there's been enough talking already if ya catch my drift! Jim Ross, there comes a time when bad men are forced to do bad things! Road Warriors..... if you show up trying to take these World titles from me..... something that puts meals on my table...... bad things are surely gonna happen!"
Michael Hayes: "And that's coming from a man who doesn't like to talk alot! Now imagine what he's willing to do to back that talk up! See ya at Heat Wave boys!"

Match Two: Tito Santana vs "Cowboy" Bob Orton
Orton starts things off with a shoulderblock but Tito comes back with a hiptoss and an armdrag. They trade headscissors on the mat until Tito goes to work on the arm. Jim Ross put over Santana as a great technical wrestler as well as his undefeated streak since joining the UWF. They fight over a wristlock. Orton yanks him down by the hair then punches him in the face. He misses a charge in the corner and Santana goes to work on the arm. He connects with a forearm smash from the second rope then puts on an armbar for a long time until Orton reaches the ropes. Santana leapfrogs Orton but gets punched down. He continues to assault him in the corner then they completely mistime a kneedrop spot as Santana was not in position. Powerslam gets two and the crowd is getting behind Tito. He roughs up Tito then holds him up with one hand before hitting a backbreaker. Kneedrop gets two. Orton stops a comeback with an eye poke then gets two off of a Fisherman’s Suplex. He puts Tito in a headlock. Tito escapes and hits an armdrag but Orton boots him back down. He gets two off of forearm smash then gets a scoop slam. Main Event: Cactus Jack vs Brian Pillman
Jack uses his size and sadistic streak to maul Pillman and the fans live it as Pillman begs off. Quickening the pace at times, Pillman strikes with a springboard dropkick from the apron and later knocks Cactus out of the ring before following him out with a dropkick through the ropes. Cactus grabs a headlock to run Pillman into the ringpost, but Brian counters with a back suplex on the floor and displays his daredevil attitude as he climbs up the nearby stairs and leaps off to nail Cactus with the Air Pillman clothesline. Brian returns to the ring and tries to suplex Cactus back in, but Jack reverses it and suplexes Brian down to the floor on his tailbone, then falls off the apron and barely misses landing on Pillman. JR says on commentary that this is the brutality that Chris Adams can expect next week when he defends the NWA World tv title against Cactus.
Trying to get back in the ring, Pillman climbs up on the apron and Cactus knocks him off, sending Pillman crashing down on the guardrail throat-first. Back inside, Jack tries an aerial assault of his own off the top turnbuckle and Brian meets him with a dropkick on the way down, but when Pillman goes up top himself, Cactus knocks him down to the floor and dives off the apron with his trademark suicidal elbowdrop. Returning to the ring first, Jack pounces on Brian as he's trying to climb back inside and chokes him on the ropes while referee Mike Atkins attempts to pull them apart. With the ref's view obstructed, Mr. Perfect appears at ringside and slaos Pillman in the face. Pillman staggers back, shocked to see Perfect as Cactus rolls Pillman for the three-count!
