Progress Wrestling #12

       





The show opens up and we see Progress General Manager,  Pat McAfee already in the ring.......





Pat McAfee: "Ladies and Gentlemen..... welcome to Progress Wrestling! Now normally, you would see the voice of Progress Wrestling,  Joey Styles, out here opening up the show. But tonight I asked him to allow me the honor, as I have the biggest announcement in Progress history! Since I landed this gig a couple of months back, I made one promise to you..... the Wrestling fan! And that is to give the people want they want! Also since the day I was hired here, I have had one goal! One goal to set this company up there with the likes of the WWF! The likes of USWA...... THE UWF......ALL OF EM! And today, I met my goal! Because as of noon today we signed a lucrative deal for the home of Progress Wrestling to be...... Los Angeles, California! I know what your thinking..... why is that so big? Well I'm going to tell you why. Also made official today...... I have signed the rights for Progress Wrestling's biggest annual show. An event like no other. Simply called...... The Battle of Los Angeles! A three day tournament featuring 16 of the very best Progress Wrestling has to offer. And the prize? The winner of the tournament can challenge for any title they want on Thanksgiving night at Starrcade! That's right...... no title in the entire NWA is safe! This year's tournament will begin on October 27th and conclude on October 29th! I hope you guts are ready because we are about to show the world why we are...... PROGRESS!"  



The fans erupt and then we quickly hear......









Seth Rollins: "BAHAHAHAHA!! Pat McAfee...... why are you still talking? Can't you hear..... the people wanna sing my song!"              


 Audience: "WHOOOOA OHHHHHH OHHHH!  OHHHH!          

Seth Rollins: "As far as your huge announcement? Good on ya my boy! But the announcements will never get bigger than the day that you announced Seth Rollins to a contract! And as far as titles being safe...... once I finish that Muscle bound freak, Bobby Lashley off at Fall Brawl..... there's only one title I'm worried about and that's the......"            



Bobby Lashley comes charging to the ring!


 




Pat McAfee: "HOLD IT!! STOP RIGHT THERE BOBBY! DONT FORGET.....I HAVE A NO CONTACT RULE ON YOU TWO! You guys can't touch each other until Fall Brawl! But since your both out here and it looks like you have some pent up frustration from the Bash finale...... your both going to be in singles action tonight! Bobby, your going to face off against Austin Aries!  And Seth, you crave the spotlight so much? Your going to face Bryan Danielson in our Main Event! Now I suggest you both go get ready!"          



Lashley and Seth stare holes through at each other as we head to break!





***COMMERCIAL BREAK ***





 Match One: Bobby Lashley vs Austin Aries            

Aries gets in Lashley’s face talking trash to him not backing down at all and then they lockup and Lashley tosses Aries across the ring with ease. Lashley swings at Aries but Aries ducks and hits a leg kick on the bigger monster. Lashley goes for a clothesline and Aries ducks under it and then connects with a round kick to the leg followed by a series of leg kicks. Aries attempts to go for a takedown on Lashley but that was a big mistake as Lashley easily stuffs it and then slams the hell out of Aries. Lashley charges at Aries in the corner but eats a boot. Aries climbs up top and dives off with a Sunset Flip and he rolls through into an attempt at the Last Chancery! Lashley blocks it and gets to his feet for a clothesline, but Aries ducks and hits another series of leg kicks. Aries hangs Lashley’s leg up in the ropes and starts hitting a series of knees to that leg followed by a Running Dropkick! Aries then grabs the leg but Lashley tosses him to the floor. Aries gets on the apron and hits a Shoulder Block through the ropes and then slingshots himself over Lashley back into the ring. Aries dropkicks Lashley in the ass sending him to the floor and then Aries dives off the top with the Flying Axe Handle, but Lashley catches him in midair and hits a Release Overhead Suplex on the floor!

Lashley is working on Aries in the corner with shoulder blocks and chokes him in the ropes. Lashley stands on the head of Aries and then hits a Running shoulder block on Aries in the corner which actually sends Aries through the ropes to the floor. Lashley goes to the floor and lays into Aries with knees and elbows as he squashes a comeback attempt from Aries. Lashley deadlifts Aries into the air and slams him stomach first into the ring post! Lashley does the same move over again just flat out showing off that insane strength. Lashley tosses Aries into the ring and hits a big Belly-to-Back Suplex and then locks him in a waistlock. Aries tries to fight out but Lashley again takes him down and Aries almost passes out. Aries breaks the hold with elbows and hits a series of forearms. Lashley quickly puts Aries in a Bear Hug but Aries breaks it with some nasty elbows and then he boxes the head of Lashley over and over. Aries hits the ropes but Lashley lifts him high in the air with a Gorilla Press Slam! Lashley goes for the Running Poweslam but Aries blocks it and hits Lashley with the Roaring Elbow! Lashley hits a second Roaring Elbow followed by a series of forearms and chops. Aries mounts Lashley in the corner and rains down right hands but then Lashley pushes him off and charges at Aries. Aries drops down and Lashley crashes to the floor and then Aries dives off the top with the Flying Axe Handle! Aries hits a Flying Forearm on Lashley on the floor sending him into the apron. Aries rolls Lashley back in the ring and then hangs him up in the ropes and hits a Hanging Neckbreaker in the ropes! Aries dives off the top with a Missile Dropkick! Aries attempts the IED but Lashley catches him in midair with the Running Powerslam in an awesome counter! Lashley then attempts the Spear but Aries counters into the Last Chancery out of nowhere! Lashley tries to fight out of it but Aries hits a series of knees and then goes for the Brainbuster, but Lashley counters into a nasty Front Suplex that sends Aries clear across the ring! Lashley goes for the Spear again but this time Aries sidesteps him sending Lashley into the ring post! Aries then hits a Running Dropkick on the apron sending Lashley’s head into the ring post! Aries hits the Roaring Elbow and then a second Roaring Elbow in the corner! Aries hits the IED followed by the Brainbuster! 1…2…NO Lashley kicks out! Aries climbs up top but Lashley saw the 450 coming so he rolls to the floor. Aries then goes for the Heat Seeking Missile but Lashley moves and Aries kills himself on the guardrail! Lashley rolls Aries back in the ring and then cuts him in half with the Spear! 1…2…3!

Renee Young: "Welcome back fans! I'm joined now by the Progress Wrestling Heavyweight champion...... Walter! In just a few minutes, there will be a match between Keith Lee and Jonah Rock to decide who will challenge you for your title at Fall Brawl. And no matter what happens there, you step inside War Games at Saturday Nights Main Event for a chance to become the new NWA National Champion.  Can we get your thoughts on these upcoming opponents?"      




Walter: "Makes no difference who wins between Keith Lee or Jonah Rock! Sure, both men have great size..... but that's where their credentials end! As far as War Games...... just because you put me inside cage, does not mean I wont bring integrity to that mat! Unlike my opponents who would rather tell nursery rhyme like The Rock! Or that HBK, who would rather dance in night clubs for young girls. Or the Cuban who is more worried about how his hair looks. When these men get locked inside that cage with Da Ring General...... I can guarantee one thing....... Pain!"        





 Match Three: Keith Lee vs Jonah Rock (#1 Contender match)              

Lee shoves Jonah into the corner again, then feigns a left hand before allowing the clean escape from the corner. Jonah turns Lee around and tells him it’s his house. Shoving. Nose-to-nose and talking.

Both in the corners, they collide and nobody budges. Jonah decides to take it out of the ring so they have more room to run into each other. Big running collision, nobody budges again. Jonah wants even more room so he moves more fans out of the way. Big running start...... they collide and this time Jonah goes flying over the merch table because Lee actually throws his arms out this time.

Lee with a left hand to the back, then rams Jonah into the apron. Lee back into the ring. Jonah in with a GOOZLE, Lee breaks it and eats a forearm. Right hand from Lee, left hands after from the big southpaw. Jonah blocks a whip and hits a superkick. Forearm over the back from Jonah. Forearm to the jaw. Forearm in the corner. Lee knocks him back. Forearm to the back from Jonah, though. Elbow to the back of the head, then a couple more.

Forearms from Jonah, Lee won’t go down. Gorilla press from Lee!!!! Forearms from Jonah. Lee shoves him. Lots of forearms and shoving. More forearms from Jonah.

Kick to the arm from Jonah. Lee still on his feet. Lee reverses a whip and sends Jonah the foot and a half off the ropes, then they do a quick running spot and Lee hits a dropkick, everyone gets hype on it. Mongolian chop to the chest from Lee. Camera tight on Jonah as he talks and sits in pain and eats another Mongolian chop to the chest.

Jonah talking and talking. Lee sets for another Mongolian chop to the chest, Jonah turns his back and gets it in the back instead. Jonah flips out of a back suplex, boot, forearm, “time to die,” rolling elbow blocked and a big slam from Lee. Cover gets two.

Press slam and drop from Lee. He shrugs his shoulders and hits a standing moonsault for two. Jonah catches Lee walking in with a fireman’s carry, and drops him down with a sit-out power bomb for two. Jonah trying to drag Lee into position for something from the corner, and he looks up, looks back....... springboard moonsault turns into a springboard moonsault kick to the head. Two count.

Lee with a fireman’s carry, turns into a jackhammer for two. Jonah rolls to the floor. Lee sets for a dive, but Jonah grabs his foot. Kick back from Lee, and the referee rolls out and gets hit, too.

Back into the ring. Whip to the corner reversed by Jonah, then he hits a spinning boot to the face. He wants the Tsunami but Lee hits the Spirit Bomb! 1......2.......Jonah  grabs the bottom rope with his hand. “This is awesome” chant. Jonah is dead weight on the mat, Lee drags him out toward the center and calls for a moonsault. Jonah up with a superkick as Lee climbs, though. Jonah grabs Lee attempting to set up a suplex AND BOTH MEN FALL FROM THE TURNBUCKLES THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE AT RINGSIDE! The ref counts.......to ten snd calls for the bell!



 Joey Styles: "OHHHHH MY...... GOD!!! ITS LIKE A TRAIN WRECK HERE AT RINGSIDE! Wait..... the ref has called for the bell, counting out both men! How can this be? We are supposed to have a number one Contender here! What's happens now?"      



Pat McAfee makes his way out to ringside. He has a conversation with the ref then looks down at Lee and Jonah still trying to come to. After a few seconds McAfee has a discussion with the ring announcer, Justin Roberts, who then informs us that McAfee has decided a winner. Walter will defend the Progress Heavyweight title at Fall Brawl against......... JONAH ROCK......... AND KEITH LEE IN A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH!

 Match Four: Kevin Owens vs Malachi Black w/Julia Hart              


Owens attacked with a running kick that led to the fight going to the floor and Owens attacked with punches. Back in the ring, Black with a knee to the ribs along with some stomps. Black with a running corner splash. Black with a hard kick to the chest, then Owens came back with punches and a hard whip into the turnbuckle. Owens worked over Black with a hard chop, but then Black came back with shots to the ribs. Owens with a running back elbow to the face. Black drove his knee against KO’s face against the ropes. Owens got a rollup for two. Black with a kick to the chest, then Owens with a clothesline and a whip into the ropes led to another clothesline from Owens. KO with a senton splash along with a German Suplex that sent Black out of the ring to the floor. Owens with a senton splash off the apron onto Black on the floor.  

The fight around ringside, then back inside Owens was in control with a DDT. Black took control by kicking at the ankle of Owens and then a hard kick to the chest. Black with a running kick to the chest leading into a chinlock. When Owens got back up, Black hit him with a right legged roundhouse kick to the back of the head. Black charged, Owens avoided it and hit a superkick for two. Owens did a slow climb up the ropes, Black punched him and set up for a superplex, but Owens decked him with a hard palm strike to the face. Owens went for a Senton Bomb off the top, but Owens got the knees up to block. Black with the pump knee to the face for a two count three times in a row. There were repeated punches by Black on Owens against the ropes. Black got in the face of referee then went back to working over Owens and as Black was throwing forearms, he accidentally elbowed the referee in the ribs. This allowed Brody King and Buddy Murphy to storm the ring to help Black put a beat down on KO! After a few seconds, Sami Zayn makes his way to help KO but still the House of Black have the numbers game! The house beats on both KO and Sami then out comes.......







Hangman hits the Buckshot Lariat on Murphy! Then dropkicks King out of the ring. Hangman turns and sees Malachi Black and they have a short stare down as Black drops down and rolls out if the ring starring at Hangman, who is attending to KO and Sami!

  Main Event: Seth Rollins vs Bryan Danielson              

Before the bell rings, the fans chant “You’re gonna get your fucking head kicked in.” Rollins attacks Danielson before the match officially starts. Then Rollins chokes him with Danielson’s robe. Rollins kicks Danielson in the corner. Rollins whips Danielson into the ropes and Danielson slides underneath Seth. Danielson blocks a kick and does a dragon screw leg whip. Danielson works on Rollins arm and he fights out of it. Rollins gets a pin attempt and Danielson kicks out. Rollins works on Danielson’s arm. Danielson hits Rollins with a dropkick. Danielson is hitting Rollins with kicks to the back. Danielson covers and Rollins kicks out. Danielson has a submission hold on Rollin’s leg and it looks very painful! The bottom of Rollins foot is nearly touching his elbow!  Now Danielson has a different submission hold on Rollins legs. Danielson gets Seth in a pin position and Rollins kicks out. Rollins gets Danielson into the corner and drives his shoulder into Danielson’s mid-section. Danielson fights out of the corner. Danielson is working on Rollins arm and he bends Seths fingers backwards. Danielson stomps on the elbow. Danielson does a suplex that turns into the cross armbreaker. Rollins gets out of the cross armbreaker. Danielson kicks him and twists his arm. Seth’s shoulders are down and kicks out at two. The fans chant “This is wrestling”. Danielson has Rollins in another submission hold. Rollins gets out of it by shoving Danielson into the ropes. Danielson knocks Seth down with a shoulder block. Rollins blocks a suplex. Danielson lifts Seth onto the ring apron and then Rollins lifts Danielson onto the ring apron. Danielson gets knocked down and he falls to the floor. Rollins drops to the floor and his right foot lands on Danielson’s head. Danielson is thrown into the guardrail. Danielson is thrown back into the ring and works on Danielson’s neck by putting it against the ring post. Danielson sells the pain by grabbing the back of his neck.

Rollins covers Danielson in the middle of the ring and Danielson kicks out. Rollins is punching Danielson’s head and gets a near-fall. Rollins uses the ropes to choke Danielson. Rollins hits Danielson with punches to the head. Danielson fights back. Seth puts Danielson in a sleeper hold. Danielson fights out and Rollins hits him with a leg lariat. Danielson kicks out of a pin attempt. Rollins is focusing on Danielson’s neck. Neckbreaker by Rollins gets a near-fall. Danielson hits Rollins with kicks and knocks him down with a dropkick. Running forearm strike by Danielson in the corner. Danielson knocks him down and hits him with a hard kick to the back. Cover by Danielson and Seth kicks out. Rollins whips Danielson into the ropes and Danielson knocks him down. Missile dropkick by Danielson off the top rope. Rollins rolls out of the ring. Danielson suicide dives out of the ring and Rollins avoids him! Rollins goes to the top turnbuckle and moonsaults to the floor onto Danielson! Rollins throws Danielson into the ring. Rollins springboards into the ring and hits Danielson. Seth covers Danielson and gets a two count. Neckbreaker gets a two count. Rollind slaps Danielson in the corner. Rollins charges at the corner and Danielson kicks him in the face. Flying knee strike by Danielson gets a two count. Cattle Mutilation by Danielson! Seth gets his foot on the bottom rope and Danielson has to release the submission hold. Danielson tells the referee, “I have till five!” Danielson slaps Rollins a few times. He slaps him one more time. Danielson goes for the tiger suplex..... Rollins lands on his feet. Rollins hits Danielson with a hurricanrana. Danielson turns it into a pin attempt! Seth kicks out at two and covers Danielson. Two count and now Danielson is covering Rollins. Kick out and Seth turns it into another pin attempt. Danielson kicks out!

Danielson rolls up Rollins and Seth kicks out. Rollins has Danielson in a sleeper. Danielson gets to his feet and is able to push Rollins into the ropes. Danielson puts a sleeper hold on Rollins and turns that into a cross armbreaker hold. Now Danielson has Seth in the triangle choke! Rollins lifts Danielson with the choke still applied! Danielson is thrown into the corner and the top turnbuckle breaks! Styles let's out his "OHHHHHH MY GOD!!!" scream. Danielson’s body broke the ring! With no top turnbuckle, most of the top rope is now on the mat and is being held up by three turnbuckles instead of four. Danielson and Seth hit each other with forearms. Rollins hits Danielson with a kick. Danielson is whipped into the corner. Danielson flips off the turnbuckles and Rollins catches him. Rollins gets him in a fireman’s carry and drops him.  Rollins hits Danielson with a super kick! Danielson kicks out of a pin attempt! Small package driver by Seth! Danielson kicks out at two! The crowd starts a “This is awesome” chant. Rollins and Danielson exchange forearm shots. Danielson hits Rollins with several open hand slaps! Elbow strikes by Danielson to Seths head that sends Rollins crashing into the ref! Danielson is relentless in his attack and goes for Rollins again, but Seth hots Danielson with a low blow! Everybody is down and out! Rollins rolls out of the ring....... grabbing a steel chair. Rollins enters the ring and sizes Danielson up with the chair.

Here comes Bobby Lashley!!!! Lashley distracts Rollins long enough for Danielson to return the favor of the low blow to Seth! Rollins falls to the mat and Danielson applies Cattle Mutilation!!! The ref slowly makes his way to Seth....... WHO TAPS OUT!! Bryan Danielson is your winner!  



As the ref clears Rollins out of the ring, Danielson takes the housrmic.....




 Bryan Danielson: "JERICHO!!! I KNOW YOUR WATCHING! A month ago you came here and laid me out...... and haven't been seen here since! But yet every damned week I'm here defeating the guys you should be defending that NWA Super Juniors title against! I'm the giddamned best in the world and your a paper champion!! I beg you Chris...... come fight me! Show the world your not a little bitch! Put that title on the line against me so I can kick your damned head in and give the NWA a champion it can be proud of! I'm waiting Jericho!"
