LJL : And now ladies gentlemen your host for The Great American Bash kick off series , Jim Ross and Gordon Solie .
JR : Welcome folks it’s my favorite time of year . It’s the Great American Bash . Gordon , it’s finally here .
Gordon : Indeed . We have 5 NWA Title matches tonight . We also have action from a cross promotion . The Rock and Roman Reigns taking on Superstar Billy Graham and the Sheepherders. Anything goes 3 on 2 handicap match .
JR : But first it’s the WWF Battle of the Titans Finale . A Steel Cage Gauntlet . Three ways to eliminate a man . Knocking him out of the cage and both feet touching the ground . Pinfall or submission . Let’s go to the ring for this match .
WWF Battle of the Titans : The first two in are partners in crime . Larry Zbysko and Kabuki . Larry is trying to talk to Kabuki . Demanding he leave the cage . Kabuki answers with a karate chop to the head and then a enzuguri. He closes in on Larry and Larry’s back is against the cage begging him off . Zbysko low blows Kabuki and then rakes his face on the cage . He can be heard saying, “ how dare you !! I’m your master !!! “ Kabuki is bleeding profusely. The ref waves off Kabuki .
Gordon : Jim it appears Kabuki is eliminated due to blood loss and yes . Look the man can’t even stand .
JR : Gordon, who or what waits Larry Zbysko now .
Heenan leads down Kevin Nash . Nash is in a nasty mood . He chokeslams Zbysko . He sets up for the Jackknife , but Zbysko pushes off the cage and lands on Nash who is somewhat stunned . Zbysko gets the 3 .
Gordon : A upset here .
JR : Gordon , in speaking of upset . Look at Heenan admonishing Kevin Nash .
Gordon : Who is next JR ?
JR : Gordon , it’s Ron Simmons !!!
Simmons goes right at Larry . He press slams him and then goes for a flying shoulder tackle , Zbysko side steps and Simmons hits the cage . Zbysko stomps the out of his man and then goes for a Figure Four . Simmons pushes him off and then gets off a clothesline ! From there he hits a Powerslam for the 3 .
Gordon : An impressive showing for Larry Zbysko, but Ron Simmons is a big powerful man .
JR : In speaking of big and powerful here comes Savanah Jack !!!
The two lock up . Jack rakes the eyes and tosses Simmons into the cage . From there he hits a bodyslam and stomps the hell out of Simmons . He sets for The Superkick and Simmons captures the leg and gets off a Dominator ! Simmons covers and gets 3 .
Gordon : Ron Simmons is all man and a yard wide .
JR : Gordon Johnny Rodz is storming the cage .
Rodz : Attacks like a wild man . He gets Simmons by the door and kicks him in the nuts . Simmons falls to the floor .
Gordon : Ron Simmons is eliminated here .
JR : Gordon a big opportunity for Rodz right now with only two men left .
Gordon : Yes , but the next man is either Andre The Giant or Hulk Hogan .
Eye of the Tiger explodes in the Colorado night sky! The crowd goes crazy . Hogan makes his way through the sea of fans wanting to clap him on the back . He points to the cage . “ YOU!!!” Hogan gets up to the cage door and Rodz kicks it open hitting Hogan on the face . Hogan is bleeding from the forehead . Rodz pulls him in and attacks the cut and goes for a Sleeper . Hogan powers to his feet . Ge gets off a hip toss !! Big Boot by Hogan !! Ace Bomber !! 1….2….3 !!!
Gordon : And that’s all she wrote for Rodz , Jim .
Jim : Gordon , we got a slobber knocker of a fight now !!
Heenan leads out his massive 7’4 , 440 pound killing machine !!! Andre and Hogan meet right in the middle of the ring and throw down . The crowd are on their feet . Hogan goes for a slam on the big fella and Andre elbows him on the back of the head . Knocking him to the mat . Andre hits a splash on Hogan …. 1……..2…….Nooooo !!! Hogan just gets a shoulder off the mat . Andre chokes Hogan in the corner and then knees him on the gut . Andre backs up and goes for a running boot , but Hogan moves !!Andre’s momentum carry’s him over the top rope , and into the cafe . Hogan with a leaping Ace Bomber ! The cage blast open from the two gargantua’s !! Andre hits first !!!
Gordon : And Hulk Hogan is the winner .
JR : A big win here . Hulk Hogan can now challenge for any title in the WWF he wants . Now Gordon it’s something you know all about . The Rock and Roman Reigns taking on Superstar Billy Graham and the Sheephereders .
Gordon : It seems The Rock and Eddie Gilbert started a war back in January during the National Heavyweight Title. The Rock took exception to Eddie Gilbert’s army helping him win . Eddie Gilbert since then has been one step ahead of the Rock time and again . The Rock has brought in his cousin Roman Reigns to help him . Tonight the Rock and Roman Reigns are once again taking on Eddie Gilbert’s henchmen , hoping to get one step closer to the man who haunts him .
JR : Let’s go to the ring .
The Rock and Roman Reign vs The Sheepherders No Holds Barred : Rock and Roman hit the rings with chairs . Herders have the same idea . Dueling chair shots bring the fans to their feet . The chairs somehow get discarded . Graham has Roman in a Full Nelson , while the Herders are beating the Rock bloody . It looks like all hope is lost , until ……
Gordon : Wait a minute , two men have hopped the railing .
JR : It’s the Usos !!! By Gawd !! It’s Jimmy and Jey Uso !!! Double Superkick to Graham !!! Now it’s four on 3 !!!
Rock hits the Rock Bottom on Butch !! He covers 1……2…..3 !!!
Gordon : It appears that the Tribe has landed here in AWA !! What is next ???
JR : What a match . Folks it’s time for our first World Title Match !! The NWA World Television is on the line . Chris Adams has been red hot . He’s been on Jimmy Snuka’s heels . Can he finally bring home that elusive World Television Title tonight ?
Gordon: Under normal circumstances this match can main event on any show in the world . Let’s go to the ring .
Gentleman " Chris Adams vs "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka
After the introductions are made, the two men meet in the middle of the ring and shake hands, much to the delight of the luve audience. Lockup to start, and Adams with a side headlock. Irish whip, and a criss-cross ends with Snuka hitting Adams with an enziguri. Lockup into the corner, and Adams with a knee to the midsection. Adams with a snapmare, followed by a knee drop. Snuka fights back, takes Adams over with his own snapmares, and rolls over with a neck snap. Snuka with an ear smack, and it's time for Adams to roll outside the ring and reevaluate. Back inside, and Snuka surprises Adams with a crescent kick. Snuka with another snapmare, then applies a vicious chinlock.
Adams escapes with an elbow to the midsection, then drops Snuka with a shoulder block. Snuka retaliates with chops, sending Adams out of the ring once again. Lockup into the corner, and Adams hammers away. Whip across the ring is reversed, and Snuka takes Adams over with a back drop, then takes him down with a pair of arm drags and a drop toe hold before appliyng a chinlock. Adams tries to fight to his feet, but Snuka starts driving his knee into the neck, then cranks on Adams nose! Snuka releases, then applies a front facelock. Snuka really works the hold, dragging Adams down to the canvas with him. Adams breaks the hold with a reverse atomic drop, then drops Snuka with a clothesline.
Adams with a series of blows to the neck, then sends Snuka into the steel ring post. Adams dumps Snuka through the ropes, then follows out to continue to bring the punishment. Snuka fights back and drops Adams with a thunderous chop. Snuka hooks the legs, then slingshots Adams into the post. Adams is busted open! Snukas wearing some of Adams blood on his face, now. Adams climbs back on the apron and gets flung back in for his troubles as the blood starts to pour profusely from Adams head.
Snuka to the second rope, and he connects with a sledge to the neck, then rakes the face. Adams throws a few chops, driving Snuka into the corner as we see Arn Anderson making his way to ringside, watching on. Adams unloads with everything he's got, but a whip to the corner is reversed, and Snuka connects with a clothesline. Snuka hammers away, then dumps Adams out of the ring. The cameras pickup Arn telling Adams to quit. Snuka reaches over the ropes and pulls Adams up and into the ring with a suplex. 1.....2.......NO!!! Snuka covers again, 1......2..... the bloody Adams kicks out again! Snuka stalks Adams...... Adams stumbles to his feet and Snuka applies the sleeper on Adams! The blood is really pouring from Adams now! Adams tries fighting for the ropes but can't reach them. Then out of nowhere..... Arn Anderson throws a white towel inside the ring! The ref sees it...... looks out at Arn..... then calls for the bell. The ref declares Jimmy Snuka the winner! Arn smirks at Adams in the ring then makes his way out of the ring . Jim Ross rushes to stop him .
Jim Ross: "Arn Anderson.... you just threw the towel, costing Chris Adams that match! What's going on here?"
Arn Anderson: "Real simple Jim Ross! I just saved Chris Adams career! Snuka was beating him like a dog. Just like I've said before, Adams isn't in Snukas league. And the poor idiot was too stupid to quit! So I did him a favor! That's the end of the Chris Adams story! However Jimmy Snuka..... you now have bigger problems! Because I challenge you for that NWA World tv title on July 4th at The Bash! See ya there, champ!"
Gordon : Some deceitful actions by Arn Anderson . Right now it’s time for the NWA World Super Junior Heavyweight Title. Let’s go to the ring .
World Super Junior Heavyweight Title Chris Jericho vs Eddie Gilbert : Gilbert goes on the offense right away , jumping Chris before he even gets in the ring . He knocks him off the ring apron and whips him into the railing . He smashes his head against the ring post . Chris wisely gets his hands up to block most of the impact . Gilbert rolls his man in the ring, knowing he can’t win the World title out there . He goes up to the second rope …… DROPKICK BY JERICHO !!! Gilbert falls forward into the ring , face buster by Jericho . He goes for the walls of Jericho , but Gilbert finds the sanctuary of the ropes .
Chris bounds off the turnbuckles , and gets off a cutter . He covers this time . 1…….2……Noooooo !!!!! Chris goes for a spinning neck breaker , but Gilbert grabs the top rope and then kicks him in the gut . HOTSHOT BY GILBERT !!! Now he turns and says to the camera . “ Rock , I’m about to do something you can’t . Be a Champion . “ He makes a cocky cover , 1……2……Nooooo !!! Chris kicks out . Jim Ross and Gordon discuss how Gilbert took too much time . Gilbert goes to the second rope . Fist Drop by Gilbert!!! He covers again ….. 1………2…….. Noooooo !!!! Jericho kicks out ! Gilbert pounds the mat in frustration! He stomps away in the champion . Telling him he’s going to beat him with his own move ! Now her puts on a Full Boston Crab !!! The ref is checking on Jericho seeing if he wants to give it up . The ref does not see the Rock come out . Rock runs down to ringside …. ELBOW TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD BY ROCK ON GILBERT !!! Gilbert slightly stunned let’s off the hold as Rock quickly jumps the railing and disappears into a sea of fans . Gilbert gets up and runs right into the Judas Effect , followed by a Code Breaker !!! 1…….2…….3 !!!
Gordon : And that’s all she wrote . One could argue that Eddie Gilbert was one moment away from being the World Super Junior Heavyweight Champion!
JR : Gordon , but what’s good for the goose is good for the gander . Rock finally got even with that low down snake in the grass .
Gordon : Indeed Jim . And it seems Mr . Gilbert has something to say . He has stolen the house mic from Jimmy Lennon Jr .
Gilbert : Hey !! Hey Rock !!! How dare you put your hands on me . I have never once interfered in your matches . I thought we had a friendly rivalry. One mat technician, that’s me and one low life thug who runs off and makes movies . Well , no more Mr . Nice guy . You want it . You got it . You and Me July 1st . Wrigley Field Great American Bash . Hell In Cell . I Quit Match !! I’m going to destroy you for costing me a world championship and I’m gonna send you packing . Maybe you can go back and make another Fast And Furious movie . Oh wait , you got replaced by John Cena . Well maybe you can host the View and join the rest of the bitches.
Gordon : WOW !! A rather upset Eddie Gilbert . That match will be at the AWA Great American Bash . Which the only way to see it is live at Wrigley Field July 1st . Only portions will be shown in AWA television . Well Jim now it’s time for the NWA World Tag Team Title Match and you know all about the champions .
JR : Gordon , say what you will about Michael Hayes and Terry Gordy , but they love a good fight and don’t care how they win . Michael Hayes says they love to get nasty .
Gordon : Well they are taking on a team that knows all about nasty . The Rock N Roll Express have been through hell in back these last few months . Tonight they look to become World Tag Team Champions . Will their perseverance pay off ?
JR : Let’s find out right now !
The Rock & Roll Express vs The Freebirds for the NWA World Tag Team Titles
Hayes stalls to start the match, flirting with the ladies at ringside and shows them his "Purely Sexy" Moonwalk! Slap from Gibson. Tag to Gordy! Gordy wants Morton. Morton comes in, Gordy is sent to the babyface corner. Gordy eats clotheslines and dropkicks from both. Lock-up, eye rake by Gordy. Back body drop and Gordy misses a clothesline and eats a dropkick. Gibson and Gordy are in, side headlock from Gibson. Gordy shoves off, drop-down but Gibson lands a sunset flip for two. Morton comes in, Gordy is getting frustrated now. Gordy is caught in a side headlock, takedown from Morton. Gibson and Morton swap places, reverse chin-lock from Gibson. Hayes is irate as The Rock “N” Roll Express continue to wear down Gordy.
Gordy backs Morton to the corner, right hands by Gordy. Whip to the opposite buckle, Morton lands a figure four while Gibson does the same to Hayes. Hayes tags in and clubs Gibson, elbows to the head. Back elbow from Hayes who struts before a fist drop. Gibson beats both Freebirds around the ring, Gordy assumes control by dropping Gibson on the top rope. Gordy slams Gibson hard..... knee-drop to the head. Two for Gordy,. Gibson is sent to the floor before Hayes lands a stinging left-hand to Gibson. Morton is not happy, Gordy eats a kick to the face and in comes Morton.
Shots and eye-rake by Morton, O’Connor roll from Morton and Gordy shoves off Morton with Hayes landing that left to put down Morton. Reverse chin-lock from Gordy then Gordy decks Gibson while Hayes lands a double team. Hayes comes in and lands the left with three elbow drops for two, reverse chin-lock from Hayes. Morton eats a massive bulldog from Hayes for two, Gordy comes in with a big stomp. Snap-mare into the reverse chin-lock, Morton escapes the hold but Gordy tosses Morton to the floor. Hayes chokes Morton on the ropes. Scoop slam by Gordy in the ring. Gordy is climbing high. Morton pops up and yanks him off the top rope. Hayes is in quick, Hayes is rammed off the buckle but manages an elbow to rock Morton.
Running bulldog is avoided by Morton, Gibson receives the hot-tag. Sleeper from Gibson, we have a brawl with Gordy sending Morton to the floor. Hayes clotheslines Gibson. Gordy kicks Morton in the head. Hayes lands the DDT on Gibson, 1......2......3! And STILLLLL NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS....... THE FREEBIRDS!
JR : Gordon , what a match ! And the Freebirds just showed why they are the NWA World Tag Team Champions .
Gordon : Yessir , but they might not have heard the last from the Rock N Roll Express my friend .
JR : Well now it’s time for the National Heavyweight Title Match to say Adam Cole got here by deceitful tactics is an understatement.
Gordon : Indeed Jim . However Randy Savage only thinks one opponent at a time , one match at a time . Let’s go to the ring .
NWA National Heavyweight Title Adam Cole vs Randy Macho Man Savage : They lock up collar and elbow . Savage quickly pulls his man down into a side headlock . Coke reverses into a head scissors and the chain wrestling is on for about a solid 3 minutes . Until Cole goes to the eyes and then knocks Savage to the outside with a Superkick ! From there he hits a Panama Sunrise on the hard ground of Falcon Stadium !! He pulls Savage up and points to the stairs . He goes to whip Savage in , but Savage reverses and whips Cole in instead . Savage now scales the ropes as Cole gets to his feet . Double Axe Handle by Savage on the outside . Savage rolls his man back in . Cole staggers up …. A Polish Hammer by Savage. 1……..2…… Cole kicks out . Savage now with a bodyslam and then a spinning neck breaker . He covers again. 1……2……Noooo !!! Coke kicks out . The Youngbucks come out. Matt points at Savage . Cole with a clothesline from behind.
Cole now with another Superkick !! He covers 1……2…. Savage gets a foot on the ropes . Nick hops up on the ring apron . Matt and Cole hit a Double Superkick . Matt rolls out of the ring . Savage staggers up …. BACKSTABBER BY COLE !!! Cole now waits as Savage sits up . THE END BY COLE !!!! He covers 1……..2…… HBK comes down and tries to get on the ring . The ref is distracted . Now the Bucks start attacking HBK . Kevin Nash comes down and he starts helping HBK to the delight of the fans . The four men brawl up the ramp way . Cole goes for a Piledriver, but Savage back drops out of it . Bodyslam by Savage !! Savage goes up …… MACHO MAN ELBOW DROP !!!! 1…….2…….3 !!!
Gordon : And the champion does it again.
JR : Cole and the Bucks tried some underhanded tactics, but HBK owed Adam Cole some pay back and he got it . How about Kevin Nash ?
Gordon : A good thing he showed up . Well , it’s now time for the Main Event .
JR : Gordon , The Undertaker has been a dominant champion , but tonight he faces a 400 pound killing machine , who beat Dr . Death Steve Williams and Bruiser Brody in the same night . One Man Gang is one tough SOB ! This will be a good one .
Gordon : Let’s go to the ring Jim .
Jimmy Lennon Jr : Fans this is our main event of the evening . One fall with a one hour time limit . First I would like to introduce the manager . Sir Oliver Humperdinck . Now wrestling fans here we go ….
First from the city of Chicago . An incredible sight . 400 pounds . He is the challenger for this evening. The man who beat Bruiser Brody and Dr. Death Steve Williams to get here . The One Man Gang !!!
His opponent . From Death Valley, Texas . 310 pounds. He is the American Bad Ass . The NWA Heavyweight Wrestling Champion of the World ! The Undertaker !!!!
Referee Mike Smith grabs the house mic and says there has been enough interference tonight . He orders SOH back to the locker room ! The two men meet in the middle of the ring and throw down . Fist are flying . Double handed chokes are exchanged. The tussle into the ropes . Off the break , Gang knees Taker in the gut and brings down a big swatting forearm across the back of the neck ! Now Gang puts Taker on the corner and lays in heavy handed shots . He drapes Taker over his shoulder and goes for a running Powerslam, but Taker gets out the back door , spins Gang around into a roaring elbow ! Gang stumbles backward into the ropes . Taker goes running for a big boot , but Gang moves and Taker gets his leg tangled up in the ropes . Gang kicks away at the leg , while the ref tries to untangle Taker . He gets him free . Gang places Taker’s leg on the mat and just crashes down on it with his body weight ! Gang leg drops the leg !! He pounds it on the mat .
Gang grabs Taker up and rams him into the corner . He shoulder thrust the champion. Right back to attacking the leg with kicks while in the corner . Gang now knee drops the leg and now in an unusual move works a half crab . Gordon and JR discuss while the move is unusual , it’s smart attacking the leg . Taker gets to the ropes . Gang stomps on him . Knocking him out of the ring . Gang goes out after him … big chop from Taker ! Followed by another and then another . He rams Gang’s head into the ring apron and then rolls in the ring . Taker is trying to get feeling back into his leg, while Gang is getting back in . Taker with a clothesline that puts Gang into the corner . Then Taker unloads with body blows that would make Joe Frazier jealous !!! Gang is holding his ribs . Taker goes for a side belly to belly , but the leg gives out . Gang lands on top . 1……2…….Noooo !!! Taker gets a shoulder off the mat . Gang now goes up for the 747 …. Taker moves !!! Taker grabs up his man . Knowing the Tombstone is simply not in the cards , instead switches to a sit out Pile Driver !!! He covers 1…..2…..Nooooo !!! Gang kicks out . Taker pulls his man up and gets off a second sit out Piledriver!! He covers 1………2…….3 !!!
Gordon : It is all over !!! The Undertaker has retained .
JR : Gordon , Bobby Lashley is headed to the ring .
Lashley stares down Taker .
Gordon : Jim , here comes Eddie Guerrero!!
Now the 3 look at each other . Gang has gotten to his feet .
JR : Dr . Death Steve Williams now !!!
Gordon : And wait a minute . It’s the National Heavyweight Champion in the ring .
JR : My Gawd !! The Undertaker is looking at all the men who want him on the Bash tour . Wow !!
Gordon : We are out of time . Good night everyone.
JR : It’s Bash Season !!!
