 Joey Styles: "HELLO RENO NEVADA! AND WELCOME...... TO PROGRESS WRESTLING!!! We have a great show lined up for you tonight as we start the first round of the tournament to crown the first ever Progress Heavyweight Champion! And how about these first round matchups as your going to see Shelton Benjamin against Carmello Hayes!"    






   Joey Styles: "Kevin Owens collides with "The Ring General" Walter!"        





 Joey Styles: " Big Keith Lee will collide against Jonah Rock!"            






 Joey Styles: "And if those matches wasn't big enough...... Drew McIntyre Will face off against "The Visionary" Seth Rollins!"            





 Joey Styles: "This is a who's who in Progress Wrestling! And one of these men will walk out if The Great American Bash on July 8th the new Progress Champion! But right now...... it's time for our opening contest of the evening!"            





Match One: El Hijo Del Vikingo  vs Rich Swan vs Komander vs Swerve Strickland      

The match started with the four men testing each other out. Swann and Swerve eventually powdered out and left the finish to the two lucha talents.

Vikingo and Komander fought to the end, where Komander set up for a rope walk shooting star press, that only got a 2 count. Vikingo rolled through the kick out and drove Komander into the corner, followed with a double knee in the corner and a 730 splash for the win.






 Joey Styles: "El Hijo Del Vikingo continues his undefeated streak here in Progress Wrestling with an impressive win over not one, not two, but three of the very best the Super Juniors has to offer! I can see a bright future for that young man! Fans, when we come back, it will be time to start the first round of the Progress Heavyweight title tournament!"

Progress Heavyweight Title Tournament Rd 1: Shelton Benjamin vs Carmello Hayes          

They lock up. Carmello gets a waistlock takedown, reversed by Shelton, and Hayes bails to the ropes as quickly as he can, fighting out of a bunch of holds. The ref makes Shelton break.  They lock up again. Shelton gets a headlock, reversed to a hammerlock, reversed again by Shelton, reversed again by Carmello and he gets the waistlock takedown again. Shelton easily reverses, and Carmello gets to the ropes. Shelton shakes his head. Nuh-uh. Not gonna beat him at that game. Carmello gets a headlock takedown. Shelton gets up and sends him into the ropes, but Hayes gets a shoulderblock. Carmello gets a whip and blocks a hiptoss with a hiptoss, but bends over into a kick to the head, and Shelton gets a pair of armdrag takedowns. They’re still even. They pace around again. Shelton gets a headlock takedown and hangs on for two. Carmello manages to get a pinning position out of it for two. Shelton keeps hanging on, so Carmello has to get to his feet to escape. Shelton sends him out of a headlock of his own, but Hayes gets a shoulderblock and a crazy rollup out of nowhere for two. He gets a running forearm and a chop, but Shelton leapfrogs him after getting whipped. He clotheslines Hayes out, and both men are on the outside, though Hayes doesn’t land on his feet. Shelton heads back in and Carmello recovers on the outside

Back in, Carmello is lined up to hit a back superplex. He tries to hit it, but Shelton reverses and hits a cross body to crush Carmello! Hayes tries to fight to his feet, but Shelton whips him and hits a Samoan drop. They get up about the same time, and Carmello wins the slugfest. Carmello reverses a whip, but Shelton gets a forearm and an armdrag. He gets a clothesline. He ducks a clothesline and hits a full nelson into a backbreaker. 1.......2......NO!!!  Shelton gets a whip. But he lowers his head, and Carmello kicks him. Hayes gets a chop, but Shelton reverses a whip. Carmello gets the forearm anyway. And he kips up at 7, crazy backbreaker be damned. Shelton kips up. But Carmello blocks a kick and tries a Northern Lights suplex. Shetlon sneaks out with a cradle, 1......2...... reversed by Carmello, 1......2.....  reversed by Shelton, reversed, reversed again by Shelton and he covers for two. Carmello kicks Shelton to buy some time. Hayes puts Shelton in the corner. He unloads more chops. But Shelton gets some shots in the opposite corner. He tries the Exploder, but Carmello blocks and reverses to a backdrop. The 10-count starts again. Carmello gets up by the ropes and tries the superkick, blocked. Shelton tries one, blocked… LEG LARIAT! 1.....2....… NO!  Shelton puts Carmello up top, for a superplex of his own. Carmello shoves him off and hits the flying elbow! Carmello hypes up for the superkick… blocked! Shelton hits a big kick to the side of the head… two! Shelton waits for Carmello to start to get up, then flies onto the top turnbuckle and hits a corner clothesline, 1......2.......NO!! Shelton can't believe it and  heads to the apron, and trying a variant of the Springboard. That leads him directly into the superkick, from Carmello in midair! Carmello rolls Shelton up, 1...... 2.......3!!!! Carmello Hayes advances in the tournament!





Joey Styles: "Did Carmello Hayes just score a victory over Shelton Benjamin? Yes he did! Did Carmello Hayes just prove his worthiness here in Progress Wrestling? Yes he did! Did Carmello Hayes just shoot his shot and advance in the tournament? Yes he did!"

  Progress Heavyweight Title Tournament Rd 1:  Keith Lee vs Jonah Rock          

Lee hits a series of moves that send Jonah flying about the ring. Rock comes back by dropping Lee down on the side of the ring. Lee catching Rock and then tossing him into that same side of the ring was pretty unbelievable.  Lee even powets Jonah up and hits a fallaway slam. Jonah comes back with a Spirit Bomb. Chokebomb by Jonah  gets two. Moonsault misses. Lee hits a Destroyer and then a Spirit Bomb for two. Rock tosses Lee from the top rope and then hits a reverse rana. Things extend outside and Rock hits a somersault dive on Lee. Jonah hits the rana!!!  Lee hits a reverse rana, and the atmosphere from the live audience watching these two huge men do moves that Super Juniors do is electric!!! Lee ascends to the top rope with Rock and hits a Super Spirit Bomb to finally get the win. Keith Lee advances!







The cameras pan backstage where we see Progress General Manager,  Pat McAfee in his office.




There's a knock on his door and in walks......





Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi!!!!


 Kenny Omega: "Word on the street is your crowning Progress tag team champions at the Bash! We also heard it was open invitation! Let me introduce ourselves...... I'm Kenny Omega...... he's Kota Ibushi...... we are The Golden Lovers! And you can count us in that Gauntlet match at the Bash!"

  Match Four: Lucha Brothers vs Private Party              

Penta was double-teamed early on, then he broke free and Fenix got the tag with some kicks. Private Party avoided double kicks, so Lucha Bros kicked eachother and Party sent them out of the ring. Private Party hit double suicide dives on both Brothers on the floor. Back in the ring, Fenix avoided a diving attack and jumped up with a Cutter for two. Lucha Brothers hit double superkicks on Quen. Private Party did their double team move Silly String with a DDT. Kassidy into the ring illegally to knock Penta off the apron to the floor.

Penta made the comeback with a Slingblade, a backbreaker and Fenix tagged in with an armdrag into a double foot stomp. Fenix hit a Gory Bomb while doing a leg drop on Kassidy at the same time. Fenix chopped Kassidy hard a few times. Fenix with a jumping kick, Quen (into the ring illegally with the referee seeing it) pulled Fenix off the corner and Kassidy hit a cross body block for a two count. Private Party did a tag leading to an atomic drop followed by an enziguri kick. Fenix with a jawbreaker, Penta got the tag and Penta fell off the top rope. Penta hit a jumping kick on Kassidy and he gave Quen a Death Valley Driver onto Kassidy in the corner. Penta hit the Made in Japan slam for a two count. Then Penta is back up with a Canadian Destroyer on Quen. Fenix got the tag and hit the Black Fire Driver for the pinfall win!




As the Brothers celebrate we see Julia Hart make her way to ringside.  






Penta and Fenix aren't real sure why Julia is at ringside. Julia puts a black rose on the ringapron theb the lights go dark! After a few moments the lights come back on and we see.......







The three men jump the Lucha Bros and put a complete beatdown on them! Julia enters the ring and the men stop the assault.


Joey Styles: "What the Hell is going on here? That's Brody King and Buddy Murphy! But what is Malachi Black doing here in Progress Wrestling? And what does Julia Hart have over these men? This is bizarre!"

    Progress Heavyweight Title Tournament Rd 1:    Kevin Owens vs Walter          

They lock up. Walter shoves Owens off and powers him to the corner. Walter gives a clean break, but Owens aggressively charges him. Walter applies a headlock and hits a takeover. Owens fights up and goes to whip him off, but Walter holds on and brings him down to a knee by cinching in the side headlock. Owens finally whips him off, but Walter shoulder tackles him down. Walter wrenches the arm, but Owens gets to the ropes. Owens rocks him with a right hand and applies a side headlock. Walter whips him off, so Owens goes for a shoulder tackle. Walter absorbs it. Owens punches him to the corner, but Walter cuts the momentum off. Owens ducks a chop and chops the chest of the Ring General. Owens hits the ropes, but Walter crushes him with a big boot and follows up with a German Suplex. Owens rolls out of the ring to recover. Sami Zayn comes down to  check on his partner.

Walter goes outside to retrieve Owens, but Owens kicks and chops him. Walter quickly boots him and smashes the back of Owens’s head into the barricade. Walter hits a back suplex onto the apron. Owens holds his neck at ringside

Owens kick out of a pinfall attempt. Walter taunts Sami Zayn at ringside. Owens punches back at Walter and hits the ropes, but Walter counters with a scoop slam. Walter then puts his feet around Owens’s head and hits a neck twister. Owens writhes on the mat in pain. Walter digs his boot into Owens’s face. Walter applies a neck vice and screams at him. Zayn pounds the mat to try to get Owens back into the match. Owens punches out of the neck vice, but Walter absolutely crushes Owens with a big boot for a one-count. Owens immediately pops up and punches Walter, who quickly levels him with a big boot to cut off this desperate comeback attempt.

Walter peppers Owens with strikes and challenges him. Walter gets Owens to his feet. Owens stumbles and hits a forearm. Walter knocks him back and flattens him with a vicious chop to the chest. Walter applies a Boston Crab, stepping on Owens’s neck before turning him over. Owens tries to claw to the ropes, but Walter rolls into a crossface. Owens fights up and elbows out. Owens hits a chop, but Walter, the master of that strike, takes Owens down with a frying pan chop to the chest. Zayn looks concerned at ringside. Walter goes for a suplex, but Owens fights it. Walter gets out of a fisherman’s suplex and takes Owens’s head off with a vicious lariat. Walter pulls Owens up to his feet and hits a brutal short-arm clothesline. Walter shouts at Zayn once again. Walter pulls Owens to his feet. Owens absorbs a short-arm clothesline and strikes back at him. Walter quickly floors Owens with a German Suplex high onto the neck and shoulders. Owens pops up and answers with a German Suplex on Walter!

Owens and Walter slowly get to their feet. They exchange stiff forearms before Walter rocks Owens with a chop and a nasty stomp to the back of the head. Walter lays in some playful kicks to Owens and gets him to his feet. Owens rocks Walter with two superkicks that send him to his knees. Owens hits a third superkick that sends Walter seated into the corner. Owens hits a cannonball in the corner for a near fall! Owens waits for Walter to get up and goes for a Stunner, but Walter counters with a Sleeper Hold attempt. Owens rolls out, but Walter absolutely annihilates him with a front dropkick. Walter sets up for a Powerbomb, but Owens fights out. They exchange blows before Owens hits a devastating fisherman’s buster for a near fall!

Owens pulls himself up to the top rope, but Walter cuts him off with a chop. Walter hits a head-and-arm superplex for a near fall! Walter positions Owens and goes to the top rope. Walter goes for a top rope dive, but Owens gets the knees up. Owens goes to the top rope and connects with a Swanton Bomb! 1.......2...... The crowd (and Owens and Zayn) cannot believe it!

Owens sizes Walter up. Giovanni Vinci gets on the apron, but Sami Zayn pulls him down. Ludwig Kaiser runs over to help, but Owens gets out of the ring to even the odds. Kaiser and Owens get in the ring. Owens hits Kaiser with a Stunner. Walter then rolls Owens up for the victory! Walter advances in the tournament!

We come back from break and see Adam Cole and The Young Bucks in the ring......





Matt Jackson: "Can you people feel it? The Madness is running wild! No, it's not Macho Madness...... it's Matt Jackson Madness running wild! Just a couple of days ago I did the one thing nobody else has accomplished...... I pinned Randy Savage fair and square in the middle of this ring!"            

Nick Jackson: "Read it and Mother F' ing weap! OHHHH YEA!"            

 Matt Jackson: "And now.... I'm going to share that winning recipe with this man..... the next NWA National Champion...... Adam Cole!"              

 Adam Cole: "They said Savage wasn't a normal man! He was immortal! Nobody could beat him! But look at him now! He felt the wrath of Matt Jackson and fell like a bag of bricks! The crack in the foundation has been made. The title reign is tarnished. And next week on night one of the Bash tour..... not only does the Madness end....  but so does the title reign! And the Era of Adam Cole begins...... BAY BAY! Ohhhhh yea...... Dig it!!!"

Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring and grabs the housemic.....




 Bryan Danielson: "Could this be the week? Is Chris Jericho finally going to show up and accept my challenge to face me in a PROFESSIONAL wrestling match? Are you here Jericho? Come on out! Chris? Chris..... you back there? Of course he isn't! Because he doesn't have the sack to face me! So you people know the drill..... since the so called Super Juniors World champion won't compete for you..... I WILL! So once again, I challenge anyone to come out here and face me in a professional wrestling match!"  



The crowd begins to buzz in anticipation to see who will accept Danielsons challenge. Then out comes.......






The live audience goes nuts as Liger makes his way to the ring.


 Match Six: Jushin Liger vs Bryan Danielson              

Liger had a lot of success early. He took out Dragon with a pescado. Dragon came back right after that and got control. After an airplane spot, both men avoided diving headbutts from each other. Liger hit a palm strike and then made a comeback. Dragon dropkicked the left arm and then went after it. Dragon came back with a German and Cattle Mutilation. He later hit a bridging dragon for a nearfall. Cattle Mutilation again. Liger got to the ropes. Liger managed to hit a brainbuster. Palm strike. Dragon avoided the Liger Bomb but immediately then ate a koppou kick. LIGER BOMB: 1…2…NO! SUPER BRAINBUSTER  attempt from Liger but Danielson transitions back into Cattle Mutilation! Liger fights to get out but Danielson has it locked in....... Liger taps!!!

  Progress Heavyweight Title Tournament Rd 1: Drew McIntyer vs Seth Rollins            

McIntyre whipped Rollins into the ropes leading to a shoulder tackle. McIntyre ran the ropes with two more shoulder tackles followed by a clothesline that sent Rollins over the top to the floor. Drew told Seth to take his time because Drew was enjoying this and Joey Styles said that was Drew getting into Seth’s head. Rollins got a bit of offense with punches, but McIntyre chopped and punched Seth. McIntyre with a hard corner whip, Rollins flipped upside down and McIntyre hit a hard chop into a suplex. Rollins with a dropkick to the left knee two times in a row followed by Rollins sending McIntyre shoulder first into the ring post. Rollins hit a suicide dive on McIntyre on the floor. Back in the ring, Rollins hit the Slingblade for a two count. Rollins slapped on a single leg Boston Crab submission as McIntyre crawled to try to break it and Rollins turned the submission into a STF. Rollins slapped on a Crossface submission on the left arm. McIntyre got his right arm on the bottom rope to break the hold. McIntyre was on the floor, so Rollins hit another suicide dive onto Drew as Rollins told his Drew that this was his destiny. Rollins ran across the apron with a jumping knee attack to the face. Rollins jumped off the barricade with another knee to the face. Rollins jumped off the announce table with another knee to the face, so that’s three straight knees to the face by Seth. Rollins tried a suicide dive again, but McIntyre caught him and McIntyre hit an overhead belly to belly suplex onto the announce table. Back in the ring, McIntyre with two more overhead belly to belly suplexes and a big boot to the face. McIntyre went up top with a jumping punch to the head followed by a kip up to show that Drew was fired up. McIntyre charged, but Rollins went to the apron and Rollins with a necksnap using the top rope. McIntyre avoided a knee strike followed by a spinebuster.

Rollins avoided a DDT attempt by attacking the left leg and Rollins hit a superkick for just a one count by Drew. Rollins went up top for a Frog Splash leading to another one count. Rollins grabbed a steel chair from ringside, but then he changed his mind and Rollins wanted The Stomp. McIntyre countered with a Glasgow Kiss headbutt. McIntyre went up top leading to Rollins tripping him up on the turnbuckle. McIntyre with another headbutt, McIntyre up top, but Rollins hit a superplex into a Falcon Arrow slam for a two count. Rollins charged, Drew moved, Rollins was sent into the ropes and McIntyre hit a Future Shock DDT. McIntyre was punching his own left knee to get some of the feeling back. McIntyre with a hard chop to the chest while Rollins was on the turnbuckle. Rollins punched McIntyre leading to McIntyre getting tied upside down on the turnbuckle. McIntyre reached up and hit a German Suplex with Rollins landing onto his chest. McIntyre charged, but Rollins hit a superkick and The Stomp for a two count. Rollins charged, McIntyre came back with the Glasgow Kiss headbutt then Rollins with the superkick and McIntyre hit the Claymore Kick for the pinfall! Drew McIntyer advances in the tournament! The camera shows Rollins who is just staring into space completely shocked! Drew celebrates as show fades to black.
