Kurt Angle vs Owen Hart : Ends in a 15 minute time limit draw .
David Von Erich makes his debut . He takes on Rick Martel . David is working heel and ends it with The Iron Claw
Ole Anderson & Iron Mike Sharpe vs Ken Patera and Jerry Blackwell : Both teams are disqualified .

Freddy Miller : Hello fans , this is the AWA with a special Thursday night edition . Right now as of this taping we are on the road to the UK where the NWA will present Saturday Night’s Main Event : Dream Match . Tonight one of those dreams could end . While Shawn Michaels is getting ready to face Sting , he was is been challenged by Nick Bockwinkle . Gordon Solie and special guest Verne Gagne called the action at Valparaiso University. Let’s take you there now .
Gordon : Hello and we have a sold out crowd here tonight At Valparaiso University. 12,000 fans have piled in to what is normally a 7,500 seating capacity. Right now Shawn Michaels is going to defend his Great Lakes Champion against Nick Bockwinkle, Mr . Gagne you know a thing or two about Mr . Bockwinkle .
Verne : Gordon , he’s one of the best technical wrestlers in the business today , but will use short cuts to win a match . He’s smart and will make you make a mistake . Shawn is one if the most athletically gifted men in this business. He’s going to have to be careful with that high risk high reward style against this man .
Gordon : Let’s go to the ring .
AWA Great Lakes Championship Shawn Michaels vs Nick Bockwinkle : Shawn snaps up off a couple of arm drags and on the second one puts Bockwinkle in an arm bar . Nick works his way off the mat and reverses. Shawn reverses . Nick grabs Shawn by the back of the hair and pulls him down into a side headlock . Shawn works to his feet . Bockwinkle puts him on the ropes and knees him in the gut . From there Bockwinkle hits a bridging German Suplex for two . Bockwinkle with a spinning neck breaker and then locks Shawn up with a head scissors on the mat . Verne mentions that Bockwinkle spent time in Japan learning from Hiro Matsuda and will use a lot of Japanese style techniques on the head .
Right on cue Bockwinkle now has Shawn in a Triangle Choke . Shawn gets to the ropes for the break . Off the break Bockwinkle hits him with a forearm and then puts him in an abdominal stretch! Shawn escapes with a hip toss and then when Nick gets to his feet , Shawn hits the Superkick !! He covers and gets 1…….2………
Gordon : Wait a minute . A man is in the ring . It’s Ray Stevens . Ray Stevens now pulls Shawn Michaels off and pulls up Nick Bockwinkle !! The two are hugging it out and oooooo !!!
Verne : A clothesline on Bockwinkle from Stevens !!
Shawn comes over to break it up and Stevens hits him and knocks him silly . Stevens shows the brass knuckles in his hand to the crowd . Gordon and Verne wondered when did he have time to pull them out and where were they because the just appeared all of a sudden .
Stevens mounts Bockwinkle and rains down punches across the forehead . Bockwinkle is a bloody mess . Stevens takes the house mic .
Stevens : Two weeks ago , you asked where I was at . Questioned my heart and said I can’t make up my mind if I wanted to wrestle . Fact is I’m tired of losing . We were supposed to be this historic tag team , but all we did was lose and I figured it wasn’t my fault so it had to be yours . Don’t push this anymore Nick . I’m through with you . It’s time for Ray Stevens to be in the spotlight . The Crippler is back ! Oh and Shawn Michaels next time you stick your nose in my business punk , I’ll not only take your title I’ll leave you in a pool of blood just like that man over there .
Break
Freddy Miller : Welcome back . As you know the Midnight Express don’t have to defend the AWA Tag Team Titles in the AWA territory thanks to some crafty management moves by Jim Cornette their manager . However they seem to want to come on tv and have nontitle matches and rub it in the AWA fans faces . Well Monday was another story . more prelim action . The Los Locos and their friend , El Gigantesco de Lucha taking on The Midnight Express and their partner the body guard of Jim Cornette Big Bubba Rogers . Let’s see what happens .
Gordon : Well a bit of prelim action here Verne .
Verne : The thing about these prelim matches Gordon imagine these two young men pull this off , the can be elevated over night and could be number one contenders to the AWA Tag Team Champions .
Gordon : Well , I see they got some reinforcement out here with this rather large Lucha . Not quite as big as Big Bubba but one of the largest Luchadores I’ve ever seen .
Verne : His name is El Gigabtesco de Lucha Gordon, he probably goes 6’4 or 6’5 .
Nontitle Midnight Express vs Los locos Luchas : Bobby and Dennis are destroying these two men . For 7 minutes they are having their way with them . Even picking them up at the two count to continue the match . They go for the Alabama Jam , but Lucha 1 kips up as Bobby is in mid flight! Bobby hits the mat . Lucha 1 makes the hot tag to Lucha two . L2 hits Bobby with some arm drag takedowns and then a back elbow to plant him . L2 goes for a Bodyslam , but Bubba is up on the ring apron . The ref tells him he can’t be up there . Cornette tosses in the Tennis Racket , but L2 catches it and waffles Booby with it . Dennis comes running in and he gets a shot as well . Bubba is pulled down and eats a bicycle kick from Gianteco ! Bobby staggers up and gets hit by a DOUBLE DROPKICK from the Luchas . L 1 covers as L2 cuts off Dennis . The ref can’t tell them apart and counts 3 !!!
Gordon : Something rather odd about these two Luchas Verne .
Verne : Gordon , where have we seen that double dropkick before ?
The Luchas take off their mask revealing themselves as Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson .
Break
Freddy Miller : Welcome back . Well it’s time for our big main event . Wally Karbo made this match . When the Rock and HHH got into a stare down on last weeks show . HHH puts his AWA Heavyweight Title in the line against The Rock . Let’s go to ringside .
Gordon : Verne this match was made last week . When The Rock and HHH had a dispute of who was going to win the Rumble match at Dream Match .
Verne : And Gordon , I’ll bet HHH never thought he would have to face the Rock with the AWA Heavyweight Title on the line . Not to mention that The Dynasty and Babydoll are banned from ringside .
Gordon : As are Tommy Rich , Tully Blanchard and Brett Hart . There is also security standing in the aisle and on all four corners of the ring to reinforce these stipulations. Let’s go to the ring .
AWA Heavyweight Title HHH vs The Rock : As Hunter gets up on the ring apron to do his traditional water spit thing , The Rock pulls him in backward and just starts unloading punches on him . Rock hits a running forearm and Hunter flips to the outside . Rock goes to post Hunter , but Hunter reverses it and Rock gets his foot up to push off the ring post and hit a roaring clothesline on Hunter . He rolls Hunter back and goes for the Rock Bottom , but Hunter elbows him in the side of the head and then gets off a neck breaker . Hunter tosses Rock to the outside and post Rock’s left shoulder .
Hunter rolls Rock back in and kicks away at the shoulder . Hunter with a hammerlock and then rams the shoulder into the turnbuckles . He goes to whip Rock in again , but Rock reverses and hits a Spinebuster on Hunter ! Rock now with a Samoan Drop and into a Sharpshooter ! Hunter gets to the ropes . Off the break Hunter hits an obvious low blow . He dares the ref to DQ him , the ref refuses . Hunter goes for the Pedigree , but Rock backdrops him . Rock with a number of punches and then the Smackdown . Hunter hits the mat . Rock goes for the People’s Elbow , but Hunter moves . Hunter now up goes for another Pedigree , but Rock plows him into the turnbuckles ! Rock goes for an Irish Whip , but Hunter reverses and Rock hits the ref . Rock goes to check on the ref and Hunter hits the Pedigree . He covers , but the ref is still down . Hunter now goes to revive the ref , but Rock hits him with The Rock Bottom !! Rock has his man covered. One of the security guards comes in and whacks Rock with a chair . The security guard reveals himself to be Eddie Gilbert !!!! He laughs and takes his leave . The ref is shaking it off now . He gets up just as Hunter hits a Pedigree . 1……..2……..3!!!
Gordon : And that’s all she wrote.
Verne : Despicable actions by Eddie Gilbert . He ruined a classic .
