Taped at the Olympic in Los Angeles and televised on WTBS
VINCE McMAHON opens the show by recapping the past weekend's big finals of the NWA World heavyweight MARCH MADNESS tournament!
Still highlghts accompanied with music were shown as VINCE did his recap!
He then ran down the tv card with the main event announced as CCW TV Champ-RODDY PIPER /DR. D DAVID SHULTZ vs STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN and a mystery partner!
Fans are reminded that AUSTIN wanted it to be a handicap match but the CCW BOG refused to allow it and said AUSTIN had to choose a partner!
And the crowd starts to boo as out comes an angfry JIMMY HART and an even angrier NIKITA KOLOFF!
HART:" McMAHON...U come out here and tell these people lies! You wouldnt know the truth if it punched you in the mouth!
Now my man NIKITA was robbed plain and simple! He was robbed by having the UNDERTAKER illegally and i might add criminally attacking me with a brutality that should have put his dead ass in prison!
My man NIKITA was robbed of my managerial gretaness and along with an inept referee, the Russian Nightmare was robbed of his fair chance at becoming the NWA World Champion!"
NIKITA just stares angrily at the camera and says nothing and then him and HART leave the interview area!
1st Match- KEVIN VON ERICH vs MOONDOG MORETTI
MORETTI uses his usual array of shortcuts to start out the match but soon KEVIN tires of it and he soon takes over!
He ends things by pinfall after hitting a flying bodypress off the top rope!
2nd Match- TONY ATLAS vs JERRY MONTI
ATLAS uses his arsenal of power and strength moves and gets an easy pinfall after hitting MONTI with a press slam!
Up next a video is shown of SID VICIOUS laying in a hospital bed !
VICIOUS" VADER...u big fat coward! You're a big man when you attack me after I already wrestled a match !
But dont you worry big boy...once I heal up and get the hell outta here,then i'm gonna come looking for you and you better be ready because when i get my hands on you,i'm gonna live up to my name!"
3rd Match: the FABULOUS ONES vs BLACK GORDMAN/GREAT GOLIATH
The FABS are well on their way to a hard fought win when all of a sudden they are attacked by The DEVIL'S DOU led by CAPTAIN LOU ALBANO!
These four men have a big brawl and like the last time they saw each other,they fought all the way back to the dressing room!
NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion -CHRIS JERICHO sends in a video!
JERICHO:" LISTEN UP ! Once again...on national tv i showed the world just how great I am!
I beat that ol' hillbilly ERIC EMBRY like I owned him!
Why in the helllll did he even getb the chance to stink up my ring?
How he even got a world title shot against me is a mystery!
Must just show how sorry a state of inept wrestling that FCW actually is!
I am the ayatollah of rock and rolla...i am the lion heart...the painmaker and THAT is what the NWA gives me as a challenge?
I hear a lot of big talk from a lot of little mouths about wanting to make my list and whether is SUSHI...or AJ NO STLES...hell,even some british goof who should be cleaning loos and his roly poly advisor...i could not care less!
It'll take a real man to give me a challenge and from the looks of it,it aint none of you!"
4th Match: BAM BAM BIGELOW vs BARRY HARDY
BIGELOW is like a cat playing with its food as he just destroys HARDY at every move!
He mercifully ends it by pin after hitting a top rope head butt!
VINCE then makes an announcement that on Saturday night on April 22nd in Modesto at the Uptown Arena...CCW will be having a one night tournament to crown the first CCW AMERICAS Heavyweight Champion and that next week on tv the brackets will be revealed!
5th Match-RAZOR RAMON vs BOB BRADLEY
BRADLEY pulls out all the stops on the "Bad Guy" but RAZOR gets back on offense and hits the razor's edge on the game BRADLEY and gets the pin!
Afterwards RAZOR starts to call out National Champ- RANDY SAVAGE but is interrupted by BAD NEWS BROWN who gets into a verbal altercation with RAMON saying that BNB dserves the shot at SAVAGE!
6th Match_ The STEINERS vs THE CONQUISTADORS
The masked men never had a chance as the STEINERS treat this match up like a workout as they hit the masked men with every move they have!
A frankensteiner on CONQUISTADOR # 2 mercifully ends this mismatch but the fans loved it!
MAIN EVENT
CCW TV Champion-RODDY PIPER and DR. D DAVID SHULTS vs STEVE AUSTIN AND ?
AUSTIN hits the ring by himself and starts fighting both men!
But even he cant handle both as they start stomping him down!
As AUSTIN gets the beatdown the crowd is shocled but pops as DICK SLATER runs in and starts pounding PIPER and SHULTZ who leave the ring as the crowd cheers!
Once things settle down we actually have a kick ass back and forth match as AUSTIN and SLATER actually work well together!
AFTER almost 15 minutes ,AUSTIN hits SHULTZ with the stunner as SLATER cuts off PIPER but soon turns around and stomps AUSTIN and breaking up the pin!!
The boos ring out as a smiling PIPER joins SLATER in a beatdown on AUSTIN as the crowd boos heavily!
3 ON 1 takes place but soon the crowd pops as ,once again,NWA World Tv Champion- JIMMY SNUKA makes the save and helps AUSTIN clear the ring and the evil trio head to the back!
SNUKA has his back to AUSTIN who then grabs him and spins the World Tv champ around!
AUSTIN stares him down hard but then offers his hand to SNUKA!
The crowd loves it as the two men shake hands!
AUSTIN then leaves the ring as a somewhat confused SNUKA stands in the ring as the fans continue cheering!
