AWA # 7 The Crockett Cup Semifinals
Kurt Angle vs Baron Von Rashke : After nearly 23 minutes of action, BVR wins with Der Claw . He refuses to let off . The ref reverses the decision. He still refuses to let off .
Billy Robinson vs Bryan Danielson : A good match . Ends in a Draw . Post match the Moondogs come in and attack . The High Flyers come to the rescue .
Six Man Tag The High Flyers & Danielson vs Robinson & The Moondogs : A crazy match that sees Gagne get a cross body of the top rope on Robinson for the 3 .
Freddy : AWA All Star Wrestling Saturday Morning . Bringing you the greatest stars from , Britain , Germany , Mexico , Canada and the United States . This is Freddy Miller and here is your host Gordon Solie .
Gordon : Good morning , thank you Freddy Miller , we have a very lively crowd this week on hand and why shouldn’t we ? Today we will find out which two teams will compete for all the gold in the Crockett Cup Finals . Next week join the NWA on NBC for Saturday Night’s Main Event to see this spectacular. Let’s not wait any longer . It’s the Fabulous Freebirds taking on The Fantastics . Let’s go to the ring
Fulton and Rogers keep Hayes in their corner . They work over the left leg . Rogers puts Hayes in the figure four , but Gordy comes on and drops an elbow across the chest of Rogers . Fulton tries to get in the ring , the ref keeps him back . Gordy claps his hands together to make a loud “ tag sound “ that the ref can hear . Hayes rolls out of the ring on the floor . Gordy blows up Rogers with a clothesline . He covers and gets two . Gordy with a running Powerslam !! 1…..2…..Rogers foot on on the ropes . Hayes gets the tag back in and stomps the shit out of Rogers . He ask Gordy for his knee and Gordy obliges . Hayes slams Rogers head into Gordy’s knee , Hayes makes the tag .
Gordy drives the knee to the forehead and then pressslams Rogers throat first on the top rope . He and Hayes strut around the ring , until the ref tell them to knock off the nonsense . Gordy goes for a Piledriver , but Rogers back drops out and gets the tag to Bobby Fulton . Fulton with a dropkick on Gordy . One for a charging Hayes . Gordy is back up and Fulton with a flying head scissors!!!!! Fulton now with a spinning neck breaker on Gordy . Springboard TORNADO DDT!!!!!! 1……..2……Hayes breaks in up !!! Now all four men are in the ring . The action spills to the floor and the ref let’s go , knowing what’s on the line . Hayes winds up to knock Rogers silly with a chair , but Rogers dropkicks it back into Hayes’ face !!!
In the meantime in the ring , Fulton has Gordy a small package 1……2…..Gordy gets out of it . Fulton with a Sleeper !!!! Gordy falls outside the ring . Fulton tags Rogers who comes off with a over the top rope somersault !!! Rogers rolls Gordy in . Gordy staggers up , OFF THE TOP ROPE SUNSET FLIP BY ROGERS !!!!!! 1……..2……..Hayes breaks it up !!!! Hayes with a Bulldog on Rogers and now Fulton attacks him and the two spill out of the ring , Gordy with a Piledriver on Rogers !!! 1…..2…….3 !!!
Gordon : And that’s all she wrote! The Freebirds are in the Crockett Cup Finals , but who will the face . We will have the last semi final match up in the next hour as the Road Warriors go out against the Devil’s Duo . We’ll be back .

Gordon : Welcome back and joining me now are Ole and Gene Anderson. The Minnesota Wrecking Crew.
Gene : Gordon , it seems like each and every week we get screwed . Last week it was two times in the same week .
Ole : That’s right first that sissy Hayes knocks us out of the Cup by using a fan’s boot and then we were set for an AWA Tag Title Match that didn’t happen , because the Rock N Roll Express allegedly couldn’t get a flight back . Well that’s enough BS . I know they got another match with Midnight Express at the Cup , but the week after they need to deal with us .
Gordon : Fair enough. The Minnesota Wrecking Crew is in action right now . Let’s go to the ring .
Minnesota Wrecking Crew vs The Oates Brothers : Oates make a solid showing until Jerry gets caught in the corner and Ole and Gene tear apart his left arm . He submits in a Top step over arm bar by Gene .
Gordon : Those are two double tough individuals. We’ll be back .

Gordon : Last week we found out that 3 individuals have been invited to March Madness from the AWA to participate to crown the first NWA World Heavyweight Champion . Last week we talked to both the Undertaker and Eddie Guerrero. This week we willl see a man of few words Bob Backlund in action . Let’s go to the ring .
Bob Backlund vs The Spoiler : Spoiler gets in some offense , but Backlund is too strong and too skilled . Backlund wins with a bridging German Suplex . He joins Gordon at the podium .
Gordon : Bob , a great opportunity headed your way .
Backlund : Yes it Gordon and I plan on making the most out of it . Now I’m not the biggest , I’m not the strongest in this thing , but I have the heart and desire to be the NWA World Heavyweights Champion and I think I’m one of the more skilled men in this . That’s where the separation lies .
Gordon : Thank you Bob , fans when we come back I’m told Eddie Gilbert is indeed here and so is the Rock .

Gordon : Welcome back right now we have decided that the Eddie Gilbert and Rock interview will take place in the ring , due to the hostility and hatred these two men have for each other . Freddy Miller is standing by .
Freddy : Gordon , thank you . Eddie Gilbert , Rock thank you for joining us . Rock I understand you have a challenge for Eddie .
Rock : Freddy Miller , The Rock is sick off Eddie Gilbert’s monkey ass always ducking him . The Rock has been screwed over time and again and now the Rock wants you Eddie Gilbert to go one on one with the Great One at Saturday Night’s Main Event . No army . Just you and the Rock . No Superstar Billy Graham hanging out in the concession stands waiting for the Rock . Now Luke and Butch alone with their sheep doing unspeakable things, waiting to beat down the Rock . Just you and me . The Rock went to David Crockett the Vice President of the NWA and got a signed deal .
Eddie : Before we begin , let me rebuttal something I heard Gordon say . He said I hated you . No , no Rock I don’t hate you . I actually admire your heart and determination. You have worked so hard to get where your at . 83 Fast and the Furious movies , star of his own tv show and being on every talk show across the country. Yeah I admire you . You’re a special kind of loser . Rock each and every time you step in the ring with me , I make you mine . I own you and I’ll continue to own you at Saturday Nights Main Event . Oh and Rock . ….
Gilbert slaps him . Rock kicks Gilbert in the gut and goes for the Rock Bottom , The Herders and Graham come out and attack . Graham puts Rock in the Full Nelson and Eddie pounds away in him , blooding him .
Gilbert : I told you , I own you . Look at you , you’re pathetic. Hey but we have a surprise for you Rock .
Graham with a Full Nelson Slam and the Herders go under the ring and pull out a bucket of paint and a paint brush .
Gilbert : You have a yellow streak down your back a mile long . We might as well make it transparent, Rock !!!
The Herders paint a yellow streak down Rock’s back . Now all four men are putting the boots to him ….
Bruiser and Crusher come out and give chase .
Gordon : We have to get order restored. We’ll be back .

Gordon : Welcome back .
Crusher : We ain’t gonna let nobody come in our back yard and mess with us .
Bruiser : You try it again , we’ll rip your head off and puke down your neck .
Gordon : Well a very upset Bruiser and Crusher . We have our main event to get to . It’s time for the last match in the semi finals of the Crockett Cup.
The Devils Duo vs The Road Warriors : In the opening , the Road Warriors find out just how bat shit crazy the Duo are . When the Warriors charge the ring , Sawyer and Sully go right at them . Sawyer with a back breaker on Hawk , while Sully clotheslines Animal and the two spill out over the top rope . Sawyer is beating Hawk’s head on the mat . He tags in Sully now and Sully comes off the second rope to the back of Hawk , who now has a bloody nose . Gordon , tells us he’s not used to seeing Hawk beaten down like this . Sullivan uses a two handed Claw on Hawk’s face , messing with his already hampered breathing issues because of the nose . He tags in Sawyer who comes in and hits a Gordbuster on Hawk , then Sawyer uses a two handed claw hold , before he gets bored and decides to snack on Hawk’s forehead.
Sawyer breaks on five and tags off to Sullivan who now thinks the Mandible Claw sounds like a good idea. Hawk is able to position his body to get to the ropes for the break . Sully picks Hawk up for a running Powerslam , but Hawk gets out the back door and gets off a short arm clothesline and is able to tag in Animal !!! Animal with a clothesline on Sully ! Flying shoulder tackle on a charging Sawyer . Animal press slams Sully face first across the top of the turnbuckles . Sully staggers up , Animal with a side belly to belly !! He covers 1…….2…….Noooooooo !!!! Sawyer pulls him off then hits a double axe handle across the back of Animal’s head . Sawyer now with a bodyslam on Animal . Sullivan spikes Animal with a DDT !!! He covers 1……2…….Nooooo !!!! Hawk pulls Sullivan off !!! Now all four men are in the ring duking it out . Hawk and Sullivan spill out to the outside . Sawyer with a Maddog Powerslam on Hawk !!! He covers , the ref isn’t counting . Sawyer is no the legal man . Sawyer turns to the ref and Hawk who has broken away from Sullivan dropkicks Sawyer out of the ring . Animal goes out and gets Sully , Hawk with a flying clothesline . Hawk runs to the corner and Animal tags him in . Animal puts Sullivan on his shoulders , Hawk comes off the top ….. DOOMSDAY DEVICE !!!! 1……2…..3 !!! Sawyer gets there just one second too late .
Gordon : Ans there you have it . The Road Warriors and wait a minute !!!!! The Fabulous Freebirds hit the ring and these two teams are not waiting until next week !! No sir !!! We are out of time . For Freddy …..
