Bob Costas : Hello Bob Costas here along with Bobby Heenan . Welcome to this special from Madison Square Garden . Tonight it’s a one night tourney to crown the first WWF Heavyweight Champion 3 qualifying matches .
Hulk Hogan vs Abdullah The Butcher
Heenan : Hulkamania dies tonight Costas .
Mr . Wonderful Paul Orndorff vs John Cena .
Heenan : That punk Cena is about to get a lesson tonight and it’s going to be Wonderful.
Costas: Then the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns taking on the High Chief Yokozuna.
Heenan : What the hell ? Brody !!!!
Brody and Hart Storm the ringside area .
Hart : Mr . Heenan , may I borrow that ? ( points to the mic )
Hernan ; Of course just keep your dog in a leash . Good boy Bruiser .
Hart : Randy Savage at the Royal Rumble you broke the rules brotha . So Brody is here tonight to set things right . You and him again for the National Heavyweight Title .
Heenan goes to reach for the mic and Brody snatches it out of his hands .
Brody : I ain’t done .
Heenan : Of course Mr . Brody , excuse me sir .
Brody : Savage , you know damn well , you can’t kick my butt . Come on Savage . HUSS HUSS HUSS !!!!
Costas : Well while we’re waiting on the National Heavyweight Champion’s answer let’s go to the ring for our first match .
Heenan : What the hell Costas , you just interrupted the man in mid Huss . Mr . Brody , you have my permission to hurt him .
Opening round Hulk Hogan vs Abdullah The Butcher : Hogan is walking toward the ring , when Brody who is walking back decides to attack him . He Bodyslams him on the floor . Then drops him throat first across the railing and then for good measure bites his forehead , busting him open . Savage runs down the aisle with a chair and slams it into Brody’s back . Brody spins around and Savage whacks him on the head with the chair . Brody goes down to one knee and is bleeding .
Savage gets in the ring and grabs the house mic .
Savage : Challenge accepted brother !! Ooo yeah !! Dig it !!!
Savage bounds off the ropes and leaps over the top with a double axe handle plauncha on Brody . He takes the big man off his feet and the two brawl all the way up the aisle . The show itself fades ti black and goes into a commercial break
Break
Out of the break Costas and Heenan inform us that it’s been all Abbey . Hogan is tangled in the ropes and Abbey is pounding on the forehead . Hogan is bleeding badly . Hogan gets a boot up and knocks Abbey backward . He gets free from the ropes . Power Slam by Hogan . Leg Drop by Hogan . Abbey gets to his feet and Hogan takes him out with an Ace Bomber !!! 1…..2……3 !!!!
Costas : A tired and bleeding Hulk Hogan has made it to the finals tonight .
Heenan : I got a feeling he’s not gonna get out of the locker room . He looks pretty bad .
Costas : You underestimate the power of Hulkmania.
Heenan : And you underestimate your own stupidity, Costas .
Costas : Right now it’s time for our second match up .
Heenan : Things are about to get Wonderful !
John Cena vs Mr . Wonderful Paul Orndorff : Early going , Cena rocks Orndorff with some heavy handed punches . He clotheslines him over the top rope . He Suplexes him back in . Flying shoulder tackle for two . He goes for the FU , Hart out of the ref’s line of sight , trips Cena up . Orndorff lands on him and has the cover , Cena has a foot on the ropes , Hart pushes it off as Orndorff gets the 3 .
Costas : How much help does Paul Orndorff need ?
Heenan : What are you talking about , he shifted his weight and got the pin , a brilliant move by Mr. Wonderful.
Costas : What about Gary Hart ?
Heenan : Unlike you Costas , I’m a broadcast journalist. I’m a professional. There is no room for bias Costas .
Costas : When we come back , it’s Roman Reigns taking on Yokozuna for our final spot tonight .
Heenan : The fight for the islands ends tonight . Nice knowing you Reigns .
Costas : Come right back fans .

Roman Reigns vs Yokozuna : The now sincere hate in these two is evident. There is no wrestling here . It’s a fist fight . The match only goes 3 minutes as the ref loses control and calls for the bell .
Costas : An interesting turn of events here .
Heenan : Your new WWF Heavyweight Champion is Mr . Wonderful Paul Orndorff . The belt ceremony will be WONDERFUL!!!
Costas : What about Hulk Hogan ?
Heenan : Costas , I have it on good authority that Hogan is not coming out of the locker room and that next week , he’s joining his buddy Tom Brady in retirement.
Costas ; I don’t believe you .
Heenan : Who was right about the sell that brought us here ?
Costas : Well ok but …..
Heenan : Are you going to do your job Costas , or am I gonna have to do that too ?
Costas : Up next is the new WWF Fox TV Title match .
WWF Fox TV Title Taz vs Jacob Fatu : Fatu starts off with some chops backing Taz into the ropes and then headbutts him on the corner . He whips Taz into the other corner and nails him with a running hip attack . From there he goes for a running Powerslam, Taz gets out the back and shocks the bigger man with a release German . From there Taz works a short arm scissors and Fatu powers him up and gets off a Power Bomb . He goes for a Standing Moonsault , Taz moves ! Fatu staggers up , clothesline from Taz and then from behind puts on the Tazmission !! Fatu passes out .
Costas : A great win by the WWF Fox Television Champion .
Heenan : It was an illegal choke Costas , why won’t you admit that ? I’m going to get that hold banned . I’m good friends with Mondt .
Pulls out cell phone .
Mondt : Hello Toots !
Costas : We’ll be back .
WWF Tag Team Titles The Road Warriors vs The Natural Disasters: Coming off their win at the first round of the Crockett Cup , are a bit beaten up . Earthquake and Typhoon take full advantage . Quake backs Hawk into a corner , headbutts him in the chest and then a kick to the face . He hits a belly to back Suplex and tags in Typhoon . Typhoon pulls Hawk up and nails a running Powerslam and then gets off a knee drop . He covers and gets two . He whips Hawk off the ropes , flying clothesline by Hawk .
Hawk gets the hot tag to Animal . Animal with with a back elbow to Typhoon and then after being staggered he gets off a bodyslam . Quake rushes in , Animal with momentum is able to get off a Powerslam on Typhoon . Typhoon staggers up , Animal clotheslines him over the top rope . Animal with a big boot to Quake . Hawk cleans him up with a clothesline . Typhoon come back in . Animal with a side slam and then a tag to Hawk who goes up and comes off with a Frog Splash for 3 .
Heenan : I felt the entire Garden shake in that match .
Costas : Yes Bobby Heenan four big powerful men .
Heenan : I was hoping you would fall out of your chair and break something , that way I could call this broadcast the right way .
Costas : When we come back , it’s Randy Savage defending the National Heavyweight Title against Bruiser Brody .
Heenan ( answering phone ) : Hello . Hey Toots , what’s it going to take to get rid of Costas . The man is a buffoon .
Costas : We’ll be back .

Out of the break Brody and Savage are fighting down the aisle . Costas and Heenan talk about how this broke out on the back . Brody picks up a steel can hurls it , just missing Savage . Savage finally rolls in the ring and the ref calls for the bell . Savage clotheslines Brody on the top rope and then come off with a double axe handle to the head on the outside . Savage with a running bionic elbow . He rolls Brody in the ring and sets for another Double Axe handle , but Brody catches him and chokeslams him . Brody now with a one arm running Powerslam . He covers and gets two . Brody bounds off the rope , diving knee to the head by Brody . 1……2…… Savage kicks out . Brody goes for a Piledriver , Savage backdrops out of it . Savage with a back elbow , Brody shakes it off on a no sell , clothesline that knocks Savage out to the floor . Brody rolls Savage back in , leg drop by Brody . He sets for the GTS , Savage rolls him into a crucifix and grabs the ropes for leverage that the ref doesn’t see , 1……2……3

Costas : Yes , another quite dirty win by Savage .
Heenan : Bruiser Brody was wrestling a scientific match that would put Verne Gagne to shame and Savage has to tarnish it just to keep the National Heavyweight Title .
Costas : Now wait a minute .
Heenan : You wait a minute Costas this is a travesty of Justice . We need to call on the police , Toots Mondt , the National Guard, David Crockett , Davey Crockett , Jim Crockett , Daniel Boone , John Wayne ….

Bill Apter : Thank Bob and Brain , hello fans , here is what’s happening around the NWA . The Royal Rumble was a huge success. We crowned our first two world champions . Chris Jericho won a ladder match and became the NWA World Super Junior Heavyweight Champion and the first World Television Champion was crowned when Jimmy Snuka eliminated Don Muraco in the Royal Rumble match .
The Crockett Cup got underway earlier today . The Devil’s Duo won over the Sheep Herders and the Road Warriors advanced beating Ted Dibiase and Stan Hansen . You just saw the Road Warriors defend their WWF against the Natural Disasters a few moments ago . Hawk and Animal should sleep well tonight . Next week the Minnesota Wrecking Crew will take on The Fabulous Freebirds and The Fantastics meet Rick and Scott Steiners .
Over in the UWF Jim Cornette has formed a very dangerous group his camp now boast the Midnight Express and UWF Heavyweight Champion Curt Hennig . Lex Luger , will be looking to settle a score with the Cornette Camp .
Over in FCW recently a match between Bill Dundee and Greg Valentine for the TV title lost all control and when things were looking bleak , there was a new sheriff in town in the form of The American Dream Dusty Rhodes !
Over in CCW , Roddy Piper has escalated a feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin . Could Roddy’s days be numbered as TV Champion . Time will tell .
AWA this week , only one question will the real Super Destroyer please stand up .
And now joining me here , is the WWF Fox Sports Television Champion . Taz who successfully defended his title earlier tonight . Taz , how soon will you be going after the World Television Champion Jimmy Snuka .
Taz : Jimmy Snuka is the furthest thing from my mind Apter . Each and every week , I got guys lining up to take this belt . I got to answer those guys before I even think about Jimmy Snuka . Toots Mondt is in the ring .
Toots : Well, I didn’t want it to go down like this fans , but due to circumstances, let me introduce to you Mr . Wonderful Paul Orndorff .
Orndorff comes out with the entire Dark Dynasty . He’s the only that gets in the ring however .
Toots : Well Paul congratulations, I have no choice but to reward you the WWF Heavyweight Title.
Orndorff : This belt was mine before I even stepped in Madi….
Eye of the Tiger hits a bloody Hogan walks down the aisle . He’s met by Abdullah and Brody , but Savage comes out with a chair whacks Brody . John Cena comes down and attacks Abby .
Hogan gets in the the ring and takes the house mic .
Hogan : No way Toots Mondt . I came here to win the WWF title tonight and I’ll be damned if I going to let some blood , Abdullah or Brody stop me brother .
Toots : Well Mr . Hogan if you think you’re well enough …
Hogan nods …..
Toots let’s it go .
Orndorff lays in clubbing forearms to the back of Hogan and then slams his head against the turnbuckles. He tosses Hogan over the top rope and then body slams him on the floor . He rolls Hogan in and puts on a seated Chinlock . Hogan starts to Hulk up and Orndorff puts the boots to him . He gets off a Piledriver and covers 1……2……Noooo !! Hogan kicks out . Now Hogan feeds off the fans . Fall away Slam by Hogan . Elbow drop by Hogan . Hogan goes for a vertical, but starts to stumble . He falls flat on his face , Costas tells us it appears Hogan has passed out . Orndorff covers and gets 1……2….3 .
Costas : Paul Orndorff is the new WWF Heavyweight Champion.
Heenan : I told you from the beginning Costas .
