BTW Live From The Hollywood Bowl # 1
Sam Menekar: Hello fans I’m Sam Menekar and it’s the second Saturday in August it’s time for Big Time Wrestling At The Hollywood Bowl . We have a great line up for you tonight and here to tell you all about it , is Elizabeth Savage .
Liz : Sam this is the first show here at the Hollywood Bowl and Wally Karbo rolled out a huge first night .
We will start the night with a hardcore match . Nikita Lyons will take on Thunder Rosa .
From there we go to tag team action . The GFW Women’s Tag Team Champs Tall & Sexy will take on an outside team tonight . From over in AWA Team Tap or Snap !
Our third match of the night , John Cena in a rematch from last week with The Big Show .
Then our fourth match tonight will be a good one the IWGP Tag Team Champions Dynamite Kid and Black Tiger will try to take North American Tag Team gold from those unstoppable Armstrongs .
Match 5 well this will be interesting to say the least Fred Blassie will take on a young man Austin Theory
The we finish with a title match . Harley Race heard it last week and we know he doesn’t back down from any challenge . Harley Race puts his Heritage Championship up against The Rock !!!
Sam : We only one one commercial break here tonight and we are taking it now . When we come back here on AMC we are live At The Hollywood Bowl!!!

Hardcore Match Nikita Lyons vs Thunder Rosa : The hatred of these two ladies for one continues . The action spills out of the ring right away . Rosa drops Lyons in the railing back first and then uses the hard camera chord to choke her . Lyons is refusing to give up , so Rosa switches it up with a snap Suplex on the floor , which Lyons blocks and turns it into a flap Jack !!! Lyons with a dropkick off the time keepers table , driving Rosa into the outside ringpost ! Lyons puts on an Abdominal Stretch ! Rosa rakes the eyes !! Fire Thunder Driver on the floor for 3 !!!
Sam : Thunder Rosa takes this one .
Liz ; Sam , these two are going to have to settle this sooner or later , it’s gone in for months now .
Sam : Right now it’s Tall and Sexy defending their GFW Tag Titles . Let’s go to the ring .
GFW Tag Team Titles Tall and Sexy vs Rousey and Baszler : There is one miscue , when Raquel misses a big boot and knocked her partner over the top rope . Baszler has Raquel in a Triangle Choke , but the ref has already counted Kamille out . Post match there is some shoving and yelling between the champs .
Liz : Sam , this is kind of ugly .
Sam : Hopefully they can patch things up in the back . Let’s go to the ring for the next match .
John Cena vs Big Show : These two meet right in the middle of the ring and throw hands . Big Show , with a clothesline and waits , he goes for the Chokeslam , but Cena turns it into an STF . Show gets to the ropes . Cena off the break kicks Show in the gut and goes for the FU , but Show gets out the back . Chokeslam !! 1…..2…… Noooooo !!! Cena kicks out . Cena goes for a shoulder tackle , but Show hits a big boot and then another chokeslam for the 3 at 14:45 .
Sam : What a match , something tells me it’s not over .
Liz : I hope not , I could watch these two again and again . What a contest . Sam two tag team champions are about to square off here .
Sam : Can Dynamite Kid and Black Tiger unseat the Armstrongs as North American Tag Team Titles. Let’s find out .
North American Tag Team Titles Dynamite Kid & Black Tiger vs The Armstrongs (C) : Bob and BT start things off . Bob with a arm bar , BT flips out of it and reverse it . Bob spins out and reverses into a hammer lock and tags in Brad . Brad takes the arm and goes right into a cross arm breaker . BT gets to the ropes for the break . Off the break , Brad his a dropkick and then a release German!! BT powders out . Brad looks like he’s about to do I dive , but Dynamite headbutts him from behind . Bob tries to get in the ring , but the ref stops him , which enables Dynamite and BT to go chopfest on Brad’s chest .
When the ref turns around , he sees BT make the tag to Dynamite , who comes in with a snap Suplex . Dynamite now works a step over arm bar . Brad gets to the ropes , but BT kicks him in the head . Dynamite tags BT back in and now BT hits 3 verticals and then a Brainbuster!! He tags Dynamite back in and Dynamite goes up for the Flying Headbutt . Brad rolls out of the way and tags his dad . Bob comes in and nails Dynamite with a Superkick as Brad takes BT out with a Crossbody block !! Bob covers 1……2…..3 !!!!
Sam : That’s what the Armstrongs do . They wait for that opening .
Liz : Great tag team work . That’s why the are North American Champions . Sam Fred Blassie is taking on an exciting newcomer Austin Theory .
Sam : This will be interesting.
Fred Blassie vs Austin Theory : Austin starts off using his speed with a step up enzuguri. Then a quick snap release German. He hits a flying knee . He covers and gets 1…..2…. Blassie grasp the bottom rope . Off the break , Blassie tosses the young man over the top rope and down to the floor . He slams his head against the ring post and then bites him . Austin is bleeding . Blassie rolls his man back in and works a sleeper . He’s almost out . Blassie breaks the hold and now just beats on the cut . Blassie is just relentless . The kid is bleeding everywhere. The ref calls for the bell .
Liz : It appears the ref is calling off this match due to blood loss Sam .
Sam : Now Blassie is putting on the mandible claw .
Backlund comes out of the crowd . He grabs up Blassie and tosses him over the top rope . Backlund grabs the house mic .
Backlund : Fred Blassie, you are a veteran in this sport , I’m all about imposing one’s will in the ring , but tonight you went over that line and tried to end this young man’s career . In just a few more days at the Open Finale , I’m going to teach you a lesson you’ll never forget inside a steel cage .
Sam : The North American Champion means business .
Liz : I’m not sure I would want to be Fred Blassie right now , Sam .
Sam : We got a huge main event coming you’re way right now , let’s go to the ring .
Heritage Championship Harley Race vs The Rock : Race wants to lock up collar and elbow , but Rock is not having any of that . He hits Race with several punches , spits on his hand and goes to slap Harley , but nothing doing . Harley blocks it and drops him with a big , nasty right hand . Race with a bodyslam and then a knee drop to the head . Race now picks Rock up and hits a shoulder breaker . Race puts on a step over arm bar . Rock gets to the ropes for the break , but stomps on his face and then picks him up and hangs him in the tree of woe .
Race with a falling headbutt and then puts the boots to him . The ref is admonishing Harley , but he shakes him off . Race now with a back breaker and then uses a body Vice . Rock gets to the ropes again and Harley chokes him in the ropes , just before breaking on 5 . Race now pulls Rock up and goes for the Piledriver , but Rock backdrops out of it . Rock now with an elbow smash and then a DDT !!! He covers 1……2……. Race kicks out !!! Rock now with a droop kick and then a Spinebuster . Rock sets for the People’s elbow , Race moves out of the way !!! Race now with a boot to Rock’s face . Rock is bleeding from the nose .
Race rubs Rock’s face in the mat and then hits a Bulldog !!! Race covers 1……2……Noooooo !!! Rock kicks out . Rock now lands punch after punch . He spits on his hand and lays out Harley with a viscous slap !! Rock now rolls Harley over and puts on the Sharpshooter !!! Harley crawls to the ropes and gets the break . Off the break , he grabs Rock’s leg and whips him through the ropes down to the floor . Harley goes out and hits a Piledriver on the floor and rolls on the ring . Race thinking he’s going to win by count out , is shocked when Rock rolls under the ropes just before 10 . Race goes to pull Rock up …… ROCK BOTTOM !!!!! Rock lays on Race for the cover …… 1……2…3 !!!!
Liz : The Rock has done it !!! Race has held this title since its inception and Rock just beat him !!!
Sam : And the two men are shaking hands after a rugged hard fought contest . This is professional wrestling . Fans we hope you enjoyed our first Live at the Hollywood Bowl . Next week we are back at the Walt Disney Theater for our weekly BTW Thursday Night Wrestling. I’m Sam Menekar.
