AWA # 19 Summer Sizzler Special: Unranked
Freddy Miller : Hello fans and welcome to this special edition of the American Wrestling Association. Tonight we are at CHS Ball Park . This is Unranked !!!! Here is your host Gordon Solie !!!
Gordon : Hello . It’s been a crazy Summer Sizzler Tour . It’s taken us thus far to 5 states and one country . We started in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and went Wembley Stadium in the UK and now here we are in Minnesota. Tonight , six matches. 3 World Titles . 2 AWA titles all against Unranked Contenders .We will have our first match when we come back .

Gordon : Welcome back. Ted Dibaise has been impressive since arriving here in AWA . His first day here , he took the AWA Heavyweight Title from now the World Heavyweight Champiom The American Dream Dusty Rhodes. Just 7 days ago , he won a victory over Kevin Owens. Now tonight he faces an Unranked competitor in Wildfire Tommy Rich. Tommy Rich is all heart , but also an unpredictable man . This could be makings of an upset , let’s go to the ring .
AWA Heavyweight Title: Ted Dibasie vs Wildfire Tommy Rich: Ted comes out dirty . He attacks Tommy while he’s taking off his ring jacket . He chokes him with it and then kicks him until he falls out if the ring . Ted goes out after him , but meets a bunch of punches from Tommy . Tommy slams Ted’s head into the ring apron and rolls back in . Ted follows . Dropkick by Tommy , followed by bodyslam . Tommy goes to the second rope and gets off a diving forearm drop . He covers 1……2……….. Nooooo !!! Ted kicks out .
Tommy sets for the DDT , but Ted knees him in the junk , with the ref out of position. Ted now with a vertical Suplex . From there he drops Tommy across the top rope and then dropkicks him off . Ted hits a Russian Leg sweep , slamming Tommy’s head into the platform support . Now he rolls Tommy back in . He hits a spinning neck breaker . 3 fist drops by Ted and then locks in the Billon Dollar Dream . Tommy taps .
Post match Ted refuses to let off the hold . Kevin Owens slides in . He pulls Ted off and hits him with a Stunner . Owens wants to do more damage , but instead gets Rich to safety .
Gordon : We’ ll check on Tommy Rich while we are away . We’ll be back .

AWA Tag Team Titles: The Armstrongs vs Blue Chip U : Langston and Swagger make a great showing . Poor Brad takes Suplexes that aren’t even invented yet . Brad though gets off a desperation Sling Blade on Big E and gets the tag to Bob . Bob comes in and cleans house . Big E submits in Bob’s Cobra Clutch .
Gordon : Once again the Armstrongs retain . All they do is win . True fighting tag team champions . Right now , I want to bring in Kevin Owens. Mr . Owens ….
Owens rips the mic out of Gordon’s hands .
Owens : Ted Dibasie!! You are suppose to be a champion . You are supposed to represent the best of AWA . Tonight you tried to end Tommy Rich’s career . 7 days ago , you bloodied me and put me in the hospital . Ok , I see what you’re about now and what I have to do . You are taking me to a place where I never thought I would return . Ted Dibasie. You are about to find out the stuff nightmares are made of .
Gordon : Thank you Mr . Owens . Let’s go to the ring .
IWA World Woman’s title Dr . Britt Baker vs Kari Sane : Sane starts off with a series of kicks that backs Britt into the corner . Sane monkey flips her out and then goes for a round house to the head . Baker gets off a Dragon Leg Screw and now works a step over to hold . She goes for an STF . Sane gets to the ropes . Baker hits a curb stomp , then a Fisherman’s Neck Breaker . She covers 1…..2….Nooooo !!! Sane kicks out .
Britt starts arguing with the ref about a slow count . Sane gets off a German and then from there hits a Diving Elbow Smash . She clamps down on the Anchor . Britt fights for all she’s worth , she is about to tap , when she finds the sanctuary of the ropes . She rolls out of the ring , Sane comes over the top with a leaping cross body however . She rolls Britt back in and goes for the InSane elbow , Britt moves and Sane hits nothing . Britt puts on Lock Jaw . Sane taps .
Gordon : Dr . Britt Baker has been on a tear . Kairi Sane gave her all she wanted , but it wasn’t enough . We’ll be back .

Gordon : Welcome back , it’s now time for the IWA World Tag Team Title Match. The new World Champions are taking on a newly formed Unranked Team , which is what this show is all a about . Let’s go to the ring .
IWA World Tag Team Titles Big Van Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow vs The Undertaker & Kane The action starts fast and furious . There is no feeling out process here . Kane and Taker are just as big and bad as the champs and they are letting it be known . The four men meet in the middle of the ring and exchange clubbing blows . Kane and Vader spill out if the ring after Kane puts all he has into a clothesline . This leaves Taker and Bam Bam. Taker puts Bam Bam on the mat with a big boot and then comes flying off the ropes with a clothesline . He goes for a Tombstone , but Bam Bam gets out the back and nails a standing dropkick to the back of Taker’s head. He tags in Vader .
Vader whips Taker into the corner and hits a big splash and then unloads with rights and lefts . He hits a Powerslam on Taker and then tags off to Bam Bam . Bam Bam misses a flying headbutt and Taker tags off to Kane . Bam Bam staggers up and Hansen runs him down with a big shoulder tackle and then a bodyslam . Kane gets off a Powerbomb and covers 1…..2….. Nooooo !!! Vader breaks it up . They double team Hansen in the corner , but when Vader tries for a Moonsault, he misses.
Kane hits a big Larait on Vader , but he’s worn down and makes the tag to Taker . Taker with rights and lefts that have Vader reeling !!! Taker now puts on Hell’s Gate !!! Vader is close to tapping , but gets to the ropes . Taker sets for the Last Ride , but is clipped by Bigelow . Vader hits a Vader Bomb . Kane is cut off by Bam Bam as Vader covers for 3 .
Gordon : And that is all she wrote . When we come back , it’s the IWA World Heavyweight Champion taking on Yokozuna.

Freddy Miller: Fans, this is your main event of the evening . It is for the IWA World Heavyweight Title. Introducing first , Paul Ellering presents from The isle of Samoa , now presiding in Japan , the Mighty Yokozuna !!!
His opponent is the reigning and defending IWA World Heavyweight Champion. From
Austin , Texas. He is the American Dream Dusty Rhodes!!!
Yoko explodes out of the gate with a tackle that sends Dusty out of the ring . Yoko goes out after him . He goes to whip Dusty into the ring post , but Dusty reverses it and Yoko eats the ring post instead . Dusty gets back in the ring and hits Yoko with a dropkick upon entry . It only staggers the big man . Yoko explodes with a clothesline, then a leg drop for two . Yoko goes for the Banzi Drop , but Dusty moves . Dusty hits a Bionic Elbow from the second rope . He gets 1…..2….. Noooo !!! Ellering puts Yoko’s foot on the ropes .
Dusty goes up again and goes for another Bionic Elbow , but Yoko catches him coming down and hits a makeshift Spinebuster !!! Yoko works a Bearhug now on Dusty . Dusty is beginning to fade . The ref checks the arm , it falls once . He checks again , it falls twice . He checks a third time … Nooooo!!! Dusty holds up a fist . The crowd gets behind him . Dusty elbows his way out . Yoko though rakes the eyes , he now tries for a running Powerslam , but Dusty gets out the back door and puts Yoko in a sleeper . Yoko down to one knee . Then two . The ref checks Yoko’s arm , it falls once . He checks again , it falls twice . He checks a third time and Yoko’s arm falls again !!! The ref waves off the match .
After the match , Ellering spits on Yokozuna and takes his leave .
