Sam: Hello fans and welcome the sold out Grand Theater De Quebec. I’m Sam Menekar and my guest host on this Super Saturday Night on HBOMAX is our own Elizabeth Savage .
Liz : Sam , it’s great to be here . Tonight we find out who will face Dr . Britt Baker for the IWA World Woman’s Championship at the Summer Sizzler on June 11th .
Sam : Tonight though we start with the North American Heavyweight Title Match. Let’s go down to ringside and Jimmy Lennon.
Jimmy : Fans this match is one fall with a one hour time limit . It is for the North American Heavyweight Title . First from Atlanta, Georgia this is Bill Goldberg! His opponent is the champion from Princeton , Minnesota, Bob Backlund !!!
Goldberg at first takes Backlund for granted . Backlund continually trips him up . Backlund now works a leg lock . Goldberg gets to the ropes for the break . He powders out and Backlund goes out after him . Goldberg kicks Backlund in the gut and then lawn darts him into the ringpost . Backlund is busted open . Goldberg rolls in the ring . Backlund rolls under the ropes just after 10 .
Jimmy Lennon: Fans the time of the match . 2 minutes and 25 seconds. Your winner via count out , Bill Goldberg.
Goldberg spears Backlund as he staggers up and then drops him throat first across the top rope . He kicks Backlund to the outside and is about to powebomb him on the time keepers table , but Backlund fights his way down and Bodyslams Goldberg on the floor . Security pulls the two men apart .
Sam : Well nothing settled here .
Liz : Sam , Goldberg underestimated our champion here . I don’t think he understands that Bob can have a dark side .
Sam : We have to know this is not the end . Well Liz , up next the semi final matches to see who faces , Dr . Britt Baker for the IWA World Woman’s title .
Liz : Sherri Martel is a dangerous veteran . She doesn’t play nice with others and she picks a body part and exposes it . Riho , is not to be taken lightly however . She is extremely fast . Her strikes can end a match instantly and watch out for that V Trigger that was taught to her by Kenny Omega,
Sam : Let’s go to the ring .
Riho vs Sherri Martel: Riho fires a dropkick and then a flying head scissors takes Sherri out of the ring . Plauncha by Riho . She rolls Sherri in . She gets off a Missile Dropkick!!! She covers . Sherri kicks out at two . Sherri staggers up , jump spin kick by Riho puts her down . Riho waits for Sherri to stand …. V Trigger!!!! 1……2….. Sherri’s foot is on the ropes !!!!
Sherri reaches up and grabs Riho by the hair and hurls her from the ring . Sherri now stomps on Riho’s leg . Then does the Bret Hart ring post Figure Four . She rolls Riho back in and now takes her knee and slams it against the mat . Liz tells Sam , Sherri is going after Riho’s main weapon . Her legs . Sherri works a step over toe hold. Riho gets to the ropes , but Sherri stomps away on her legs .
Sherri is now back on the step over . Riho again gets to the ropes . As Sherri starts to go on the attack after the break however , Riho rolls her into a small package for 2 . It’s just enough to disorientate Sherri . Riho is up and chopping the hell out of her . Riho with a spinning Backfist that sends Sherri down !! 1…..2……Nooooo !!!! Sherri barely kicks out .
Riho with a round kick to the head . She falls to the mat holding her knee . Sherri puts on the Figure Four!!! Riho fights and turns it !! The ref now asking Sherri if she wants to quit . Sherri screams and rolls it back the other way . It’s too much for Riho to overcome this time . She taps out .
Sam : Sherri moves on to the finals tonight .
Liz : Sam , she used an old Sun Zu Art of War method . Turn your opponent’s strength into their weakness .
Sam : Up next our second semi final.
Liz : The amazing Gail Kim who is always in the mix for the World Title and the woman who came out of nowhere Candice LeRae .
Sam : Let’s go to the ring .
Gail Kim vs Candice LeRae : The two ladies lock up collar and elbow . LaRae backs Gail in the corner and we get a clean break . They lock up again . Gail with a drop toe hold and then grapevines the legs . LeRae gets to the ropes . Gail breaks the clean . They lock up again . LeRae gets off a German and then an elbow drop .
LaRae now works a step over arm bar and then from there goes into a cross arm breaker . Gail gets to the ropes . Gail gets off a jaw breaker and now she works a side headlock . LaRae pushes her off and shoots her into the ropes . Arn trap neck breaker by Gail . She sets for the Air Raid Crash , Candice gets off a Rana into the turnbuckles. Gail staggers backward , Candice with a clothesline to the back of Gail’s head , she goes for the Wicked Step Sister , Gail rolls her into an ankle lock and then lays back . Candice taps out !!!!
Sam : What a match .
Liz : Sam , Gail Kim can when a match anytime. This is why she’s in the top ten month after month .
Sam : Gail Kim will now meet Sherri Martel for the right to face Dr . Britt Baker at June 11th at Tiger Stadium . Sam up next an elimination match . Recently Dynamite Kid cost himself an opportunity at the World Television Title . Jungle Jack Perry fell victim to Dynamite . As a result Booker T will get a World TV Title shot at Manny Fernandez on June 11th .
Now these two will match up once more here tonight . Elizabeth, there are big stakes here involved .
Liz : Sam you bet there are . The winner of tonight’s match will face the X Division Champion at the Sizzler finale on June 25th .
Sam : Well , let’s go to the ring .
Dynamite Kid vs Jungle Jack Perry : Jack is not playing around . He takes the fight right to Dynamite . He lights him up with hard chops to the chest and then a roaring forearm puts Dynamite on the mat . Jack jumps up and crashes down with both knees across the chest . He covers 1…..2….. Nooooo ! Dynamite kicks out . Jack puts Dynamite in the snare trap , Dynamite gets to the ropes . He grabs Jack by the front of the tights and hurls him into the turnbuckles.
Dynamite now with a shoulder breaker on Jack and then a knee to the back of the head . He covers and gets 1…..2….. Noooo ! Jack kicks out . Dynamite works kind of a camel clutch from there . Jack gets to the ropes , Dynamite kicks the hell out of Jack’s ribs and then slams a forearm into his back . Release German by Dynamite . He goes up top and goes for a flying knee drop , Jack rolls out of the way , Superkick by Jack . Jack now hits Jungle Fever!!! 1….2…3 !!!
Sam : Jungle Jack Perry is going to face the X Division Champion at the Sizzler Finale June 25th .
Gail Kim : If it’s MJF , he better look out . Jack has taken him to his limits before . Sam , we have a new team debuting next .
Sam : That’s right Elizabeth. The Creed Brothers . Both are former NCAA Champions in Greco Roman and Freestyle wrestling.
Liz : They are taking on a very tough team however . Don’t let the team of Johnny Rodz and George South fool you . This is an opportunity for them to get signed here in BTW with a good showing .
The Creeds vs George South & Johnny Rodz : Rodz and South keep Julis in the corner and work over his leg for a big portion of the match . Julius though showing off that freaky wrestler strength deadlifts , South and slams him down . He follows it up with a over the head belly to belly . From there he tags Brutus . Brutus with a Bearhug Slam and then a side belly to belly . South staggers up right into a lethal clothesline by Brutus . He covers 1….2….3 !!!
Sam : An impressive win by this young team .
Elizabeth: Sam , I can’t wait to see what they do in the upcoming weeks . Right now I’m told that Jimmy Lennon is standing by with Wally Karbo .
Jimmy : Fans here is . Our President of Big Time Wrestling, Mr . Wally Karbo .
Karbo : We are just a few weeks away from The Summer Sizzler on June 11th at Tiger Stadium . I have decided that Bob Backlund will meet Bill Goldberg for the North American Heavyweight Title once again . There will be no count outs . Also next week , we will have a contact match . A four way scramble match . Last man standing , you earn a World title shot at any World Champion that is not currently scheduled for June 11th . The competitors are as followed …..

Sam : Well Elizabeth, we have reached our finals .
Liz : Sam it’s going to be a good one . Both these ladies can give The World Champion Dr . Britt Baker a run for her money .
Sam : Fans let’s not wait any longer .
Sherri Martel vs Gail Kim : Before the bell Sherri attacks Gail . Stomping on her and then rubbing her face in the mat . Sherri pounds her head into the mat . The ref admonishes Sherri but the damage has been done . Gail’s nose is obviously broke and bleeding . Sherri now uses a claw hold right to the face of Gail . Gail falls to one knee then two .
Gail knows she’s in trouble here and starts firing shots to Sherri’s mid section. Sherri let’s of the hold , dropkick by Gail , followed by a side Russian leg sweep . Gail goes an Air Raid Crash , but Sherri holds the ropes . Gail has to break . Sherri with a Bulldog after a sucker punch off the break . She covers 1……2…..Nooo !! Gail kicks out .
Gail fights back . Belly to belly by Gail for two . She now puts Sherri in a Dragon Sleeper , but Sherri gets a foot on the ropes . Sherri kicks Gail in the gut off the break and goes for a DDT , but Gail spins out . Eat Defeat !!! Gail covers 1…..2…..3 !!!
Elizabeth: And just like that Gail Kim has put herself in the World Title match to take on Dr. Britt Baker .
Sam : Congratulations to her . Elizabeth it was a pleasure calling matches with you tonight .
Liz : Sam the pleasure was all mine .
