AWA # 5 : Tully Blanchard vs Jungle Boy.
Jungle Boy : Ric Flair congratulations, you picked up a victory last week , with the Horsemen holding your hand again . Well tonight , I plan to get even . Tully Blanchard , you cost me the World Heavyweight Title and tonight , I’m coming for some Jungle Justice !
Tully Blanchard : Jungle Boy , all I heard all week is how you want a piece of me . Well , you don’t have to look far . Tonight , you little brat , I’m going to show you what it means to be a Horsemen.
Freddy Miller : Fans this is the American Wrestling Association on WGN , from the Museum of Broadcasting live ! Here now is your host . The Dean of Wrestling Gordon Solie.
Gordon : Well hello! Thank you Freddy Miller . We have a great night of action planned . After we go off the air , keep it here on WGN to watch our new sister federation . Detroit Big Time Wrestling. WGN will now carry a 3 hour block of pro wrestling each and every week . Tomorrow night , there is wrestling in Clayton , Wisconsin at the Mumm Barn . Freddy Miller will be along at the end of the show with the run down .
Tonight however , we have a battle Royal with the winner get a title shot at Ric Flair . Nick Bockwinkle will defend the WGN Television Title against Brad Armstrong. You saw our main event already . Jungle Boy taking on Tully Blanchard. Right now the AWA Tag Team Champions are in nontitle action.
Leather and Lace vs Mike Jackson & Tom Pritchard : Street and Wagner climb out of the ring and go to the podium .
Babydoll : You have the AWA tag team champions in your presence and this is the best you can do ?
Wagner : I have to laugh . We don’t have to wrestle on tv , we are the AWA Tag Team Champions Mr . Solie , but yes . These two guys . Where are the Armstrongs? Where are the American Rednecks ?
Street : They are afraid . That’s what they are . Ok , I guess we will wrestle these guys . Imagine what we can do to them .
Leather and Lace vs Tommy Rich and Jon Moxley : Again , the champs leave the ring and stand on the outside .
Babydoll : What is this , we didn’t sign to face these guys ? Where did Jackson and Pritchard go ?
The two men walk by the podium shaking hands and counting money .
Jackson stops .
Jackson : We just got twice the purse this match is worth . Tommy and Jonny own the contracts .
Babydoll : This is Bull !!!
Gordon : Well you asked !!!
Moxley dives out of the ring on Wagner with a Suicida . He pounds him in the floor . Rich introduces Street to the ringpost . He rolls Street in, DDT BY RICH !! He covers ONE ……TWO….THREE !!!!
Rich and Moxley bale out before Tyrus and Garvin can get there .
Gordon : WOW !! The AWA Tag Team Champions have lost a nontitle !! We’ll be back .
Break
Gordon : Welcome back . Before we get to our battle Royal , I want to bring in the AWA Heavyweight Champion , Dusty Rhodes. Dusty , a big win for you last Friday night in Detroit .
Dusty : Gordon Solie, it was baby , but tomorrow night daddy , in Clayton , Wisconsin. The Dream keeps rolling if you wiiiillllllll . The big man himself . Tyrus . Now a warning to Miss Piggy . I’m talking to you Babydoll , you get in the Dreams way tonight , you will find out what it’s like to be around a real man .
Ronnie Garvin , you no good back stabbing son of ugly mother , I’ll light you up with a Bionic Elbow, baby and Leather and Lace , well let’s just say, the Dream never walks alone . So Tyrus , you and me one on one . We gonna get funky like a monkey !!!

As soon as the bell rings , Stevens and The Destroyer go right at Wahoo . They double team him , pounding him down in the corner , busting him open . Hogan comes over , big boots The Destroyer out if the ring . Stevens eats a Hogan fist and falls to the mat .
Freddy Miller: The Destroyer has been eliminated.
Stevens staggers up . Wahoo gets ahold of him and the two men grapple with one another over the top rope .
Freddy Miller: Wahoo and Stevens are eliminated.
Outside the ring , Stevens and Destroyer have a rope and now are pulling Wahoo on the floor with it . Wrestling Two comes out with a chair and gives chase .
Gordon : We have to get order restored . We’ll be back .
Break
Out of the break , we are down to five men . Liger and Malenko , Baron Von Rashke and The Great Kabuki. Hogan had just eliminated Cage as we came back .
Kabuki mist Baron and the Superkicks him over the top rope . Hogan clotheslines Kabuki over the top rope .
Freddy Miller: Kabuki and Baron Von Rashke are eliminated .
Liger and Malenko are mixing it up , when Hogan knocks both of them out with a double clothesline .
Freddy Miller: The winner of the match and moving on to face Ric Flair for the IWA World Heavyweight Title. Hulk Hogan!!!
Gordon : And there you have it . Hulk Hogan wins again . When we come back , Nick Bockwinkle defends the WGN Television Title against Brad Armstrong.

WGN TV Title Nick Bockwinkle vs Brad Armstrong: Bockwinkle pushes Brad into the ropes and the slaps him . They lock up again and Brad is back in the ropes . Bockwinkle slaps him again , but Brad fires back with forearm shots and then a hip toss followed by a clothesline . Brad pulls Bockwinkle to his feet , but Bockwinkle kicks Brad in the nuts .
The ref refuses to DQ Bockwinkle . Nick chokes Brad in the ropes and then drops a knee on his back , before breaking . Brad staggers up , Nick with a bodyslam and then a body scissors. Brad is favoring his back and ribs . He comes close to tapping , but gets to the ropes . Off the break , Bockwinkle elbows him in the back and then snap mares him over and then works a seated chinlock. Brad gets to the ropes for the break .
Bockwinkle stomps the hell out of him and then pulls him up and works and abdominal stretch . Gordon talks about all the different points of pressure on Brad’s body . Brad gets out of it with a hip toss and then a dropkick . From there he whips Bockwinkle into the corner and then does the old 10 punches to the head . He gets off a side salute and then covers 1…..2…..Ellering puts Bockwinkle’s foot on the rope .
Brad yells at Ellering and Bockwinkle drops Brad from behind with an inverted DDT . Bockwinkle covers 1……2……. Nooooo !!! Brad kicks out !!! Brad now fights up with stiff forearm shots !! From the he gets off a variant of a Powerslam !!! Brad covers 1…..2 ….. Bockwinkle kicks out this time . Brad pulls him Side Russian Leg Sweep!!! He covers 1……2…….Nooooo !!!!Bockwinkle barely gets a shoulder off the mat !!! Brad now works Triangle Choke , Bockwinkle rolls it over , Brad’s shoulders are down 1……2…..3 !!!
Gordon : Nick Bockwinkle barely survives !! What a fight by Brad Armstrong. When we come back , it’s Jungle Boy taking on Tully Blanchard.

Gordon : Welcome back . Here is Freddy Miller with our main event .
Freddy; This is the main event of the evening . First from Huston , Texas . He is a member of the Horsemen , Tully Blanchard.
His opponent is from Santa Clara , California . This is Jungle Boy Jack ……
Jungle Boy leaps over Freddy and onto Tully . He pounds on him unmercifully. Blanchard rolls out of the ring to get a breather , but Jungle Boy has other plans . He goes out after him , Tully uses a drop toe hold on the floor and Jungle Boy’s head meets the steps .
Tully rolls his man back in the ring and rakes the laces of his boot over the forehead of Jungle Boy , who is now busted open . Tully puts on a headlock . Jungle Boy gets to the ropes , but off the break , Tully clotheslines him and tosses him out of the ring . Tully goes out after his man …… SUPERKICK BY JUNGLE BOY!!! Jungle Boy rolls Tully in and now rubs his face in the mat .
He now chokes Tully in the ropes , something out of character . From there he pulls Tully up , but Tully with a thumb to the eye . Gordon Solie points out Tully is now lacerated . Tully knees Jungle Boy in the gut and then hits the Slingshot Suplex , but instead of pinning him , Tully puts on a Cross Arm Breaker . Gordon tells us that it appears he’s trying to break the young man’s arm . Jungle Boy gets to the ropes , but Tully refuses to let off . The ref calls for the bell .
Freddy Miller : Referee Mike Smith has put a stop to the contest at 10 minutes and 44 seconds your winner by Disqualification. Jungle Boy!!!
Post match : Tully keeps the hold on . Hogan finally comes storming out of the locker room . Tully let’s off the hold and bales out . Hogan checks on Jungle Boy as Tully goes to the podium.
Tully : Listen up kid and listen good . Stay out of Horsemen business. Go back to chasing Bryan Danielson , because if you come after us , this is what happens . You get hurt . Next time I’ll finish the damn job .
Oh look at this . Look at big bad Hulk Hogan giving me that dumb stare . Big man , any time you want to tangle , I’m right here . Only thing holding you back is air and opportunity.
Jungle Boy now jumps on Tully . He pounds away on him . He picks up the podium above his head and slams it on him . From there he rolls Tully in the ring and hits …..
JUNGLE FEVER !!!
He goes up again , but Hogan gets the mic .
Hogan : Hey ! Hey kid !!! Look I get it dude !!! But brother , you’re playing right into the Horsemen hands . The lone wolf gets attacked by a bigger pack , brother . You want the Horsemen , join the Wolfpack , brother !!! Let’s go after Flair and the rest together .
Jungle Boy climbs down . He and Hogan take their leave .
Gordon : So it appears we have the start of a Wolfpack . We’ll be back .

Gordon : Welcome back , again . There is wrestling tomorrow night in Clayton , Wisconsin at the Mumm bar and here is Freddy Miller to tell you all about it .

After what happened earlier in the show , we have an exciting tag team match . The AWA Tag Team Champions Leather and Lace will put their tag team titles in the line against the team of Jon Moxley and “ Wildfire “ Tommy Rich !!!
And our main event . The AWA Heavyweight Champion Dusty Rhodes will defend his title against Tyrus .

Gordon : Thank you Freddy. We have a stand by match . This will be a contract Match . Two exceptional talents . Let’s go to the ring .
The Miz vs Brian Pillman Jr : Good back and fourth match . Jr , misses Air Pillman , when Miz ducks out of it . He pulls Pillman Jr up and hits the Skull Krushing Finale !
Gordon : And that’s all she wrote . The Miz is now in the AWA . Next week we will have another of these matches . Well sadly it is that time . We have come to the end .
