The show opens with the camera panning the sold out crowd of 18,500 as the fans are up on their feet cheering wildly!
It eventually stops on the ring where WWF Owner VINCE McMAHON is standing mid ring!!
VINCE McMAHON:" Ladies and gentlemen,welcome to the CLASH OF THE CHAMPIONS ! ( crowd pops big!)
I, along with everyone here at the WWF, am honored to be hosting the first COTC right here in NEW YORK CITY!
And LIVE on USA NETWORK!
And what a great show the WWF in conjunction with the IWA have put together for you fans here and the millions of fans at home watching!
The IWA has some great action all throughout the year ,along with some great PPVS where our World champions are showcased,and rightfully so!
What the clash of Champions is all about is giving every territory a chance to showcase their own champions at this event and it's you, the fans, that benefit from seeing all of the great talent the IWA has to offer!
So tonight we will bring you some of the best talent ,including your WWF (crowd pops again),that the IWA has to offer!
Unfortunately AEW has ignored you,the fans, an opportuniyn to see their talent as they have gone incognito ever since the announcement of COTC was announced!
No response...no reasons why...not anything from them since the beginning of this!
That's their perogative but i'd venture to say that calling themselves ALL ELITE WRESTLING is very subjective ,to say the least!
A more appropriate name would be to call them ALL EXCUSES WRESTLING !
But let's not keep things on a downer!

Rules :
1.The belt stays at ringside on a table .
2.Once a man is pinned He must leave ringside immediately
3.The last two men will battle it out in a ladder match .
Adonis goes right after Verne , but Verne nails him with a dropkick .
Bobby Duncum opens up with a clothesline from hell on Buddy Rose . He covers 1…..2…. Noooo , Rose kicks out . Duncum yells at the ref about a slow count . Rose hits the KOD and covers Duncum for 3 .
Bobby Duncum is eliminated.
Tommy Dreamer is mixing it up with Monty Brown . Dreamer hits a Russian Leg Sweep and covers Brown , but Booker T comes off with a Harlem Hangover across the back of the head on Dreamer . Booker rolls Booker over for the 3 .
Tommy Dreamer has been eliminated.
Booker falls victim to a pounce by Brown , but gets knocked outside the ring . Christian Cage hits a dropkick on Brown and then a Unprettier . He covers and gets the 3 .
Monty Brown has been eliminated.
Adonis gets caught in the Sleeper and passes out .
Adrain Adonis is eliminated. Fans we are down to our final four. Booker T , Buddy Rose , Verne Gagne and Christian Cage.
Cage hits Rose with a spinning neck breaker , then goes up for the Frog Splash , but Booker knocks him off the ropes and then puts him away with a Axe Kick to the back of the head for 3 .
Christian Cage has been eliminated. Rose goes for a Belly to Belly on Verne , but Verne rolls through with it and turns it into a side salute . From there , Verne locks in the Sleeper . Rose is out .
Buddy Rose has been eliminated. We are down to our last two men in the ladder match . Verne Gagne and Booker T .
As the belt is getting hung , however Fred Blassie runs out and puts a Mandible Claw on Verne . Booker bales out and grabs a chair and blast Blassie with it . Booker tosses the chair to the side . Verne is out cold . Booker begs the ref to give Verne time , but the ref tells him , “ this is the Clash , it’s tv time , so no . “
A dejected Booker T climbs the ladder , grabs the belt , but doesn’t celebrate. He walks to the back , but not happy about the way things went down .
MICHAEL COLE :" All i can say about that match is...WOW! What could have been a spectacular ending to a very unique and exciting match was marred by the appearance of FREDDIE BLASSIE!
If this is the kind of action Detroit Big Time Wrestling is going to be showcasing,then all i can say is the IWA is going to be so much better for it!"
MATCH # 2: NWA NATIONAL HEAVYWEIGH CHAMPIONSHIP
NWA National Heavyweight Championship, No Disqualification Match
( c ) One Man Gang w/ Gary Hart
-vs-
Jim Duggan
The fans were behind Duggan big time. Both wrestlers begin brawling with each other from the start. Duggan got a few near falls. Hart gets up on the ring apron. Duggan sees this and makes his way over to him. Gang splashes Duggan from behind. Duggan falls towards the corner. Gang splashes Duggan who proceeds to fall to the mat. Gang gets up on the turnbuckle and gives Duggan a 747 splash off the top. Gang covers him but only gets a 2 count. Gang and Hart are shocked. Gang gives Duggan another 747 splash and covers him for the pin but only gets a 2 count. Gang is frustrated and leaves the ring to confer with Hart. The referee starts to count. Duggan rolls out of the ring which stops the count. The referee starts a new count as Gang and Duggan brawl outside of the ring.
Winner-Double Countout
After the match both wrestlers fight with each other all the way down the aisle and to the back.
COLE: " In what was expected to be a finale to this feud was just another epic battle between these two men!
DUGGAN kicking out of the 747 Splash may end up being the shock of the night and from the looks on HART'S and OMG'S face,i'm sure they STILL have that shocked look on their faces !
Now the big question is what's next between these two?
The NWA board of directors has some thinking to do imo!"
MATCH # 3: USWA TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH!
THE SHEEPHERDERS w/ JOHNNY ACE vs THE FANTASTICS!
These two teams have had battles before but this one is for all the marbles!
And even with a big contrast in styles ,these two teams definitely go all out when they face each other!
The FANTASTICS have learned that to have a chance at winning these titles that they need to fight fire with fire and that's exactly what they do!
But the HERDERS are more versed in this brawling style and it gives them the edge !
It doesn't take long before ROGERS is stuck in the HERDERS corner and their double teaming skills take over!
FULTON tries to stop it several times but the ref makes him go back to his corner each time!
FULTON eventually tires of it,pushes the ref to the canvas ,and jumps in to break up the double team as the crowd pops!
However as the ref finally os able to get FULTON in his grasp and as he pushes him back to his corner,BUTCH WILLIAMS is tossed the flag pole from ACE and clobbers ROGERS with it across the back of the head and makes him easy prey for the pin!
Unfortunately the ref didn't see the infraction and made the three count!
As the ref hands them the tag titles ,the announcer says :" Your winners and NEW USWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS-THE SHEEPHERDERS!
The SHEEPHERDERS hold the belts up high as they leave tje ring to a chorus of boos as FULTON argues with the ref as he also checks on a possibly concussed TOMMY ROGERS!
COLE:"What a hard fought match here with a very unfortunate ending !
However I doubt that we've seen the last of these two going at it again!"
MATCH #4-AWA HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
AWA Heavyweight Title Harley Race vs Dusty Rhodes : They meet in the middle of the ring , Race tries a go behind and a waist lock takedown , Dusty counters through , both men tangle and end up on the ropes . We get a clean break . They go to the middle and lock up again. Same kind of tussle going on again , and into the ropes , off the break Race tries for a wild right hand , but Dusty blocks it and lands a Bionic Elbow. Harley rolls to the outside .
Dusty stands in the middle of the ring , inviting his man back in . Race comes in and Dusty has the elbow cocked and ready . Race powders out . Dusty now signals to the crowd , Harley is a chicken . Race telling the crowd to knock it off . They go to lock up again , but Harley thumbs Dusty in the eye and then slams his head into the turnbuckle . From there Race scoops his man up , bodyslam by Harley and drops a knee across the head . Covers 1…..2…. Dusty kicks out at two .
Race now hits a falling headbutt and covers again for another two count . Race drops another knee across the forehead . Now Dusty is busted open . Race rakes his boot across the wound and now works a chinlock . Dusty works to his feet , he gets off a belly to back Suplex . He can’t capitalize. Race is up first . Dusty staggers to his feet , clothesline by Race . Race goes up to the top rope and goes for a falling headbutt , but Dusty moves !!!! Dropkick by Dusty . From there Harley staggers to his feet , BELLY TO BELLY BY DUSTY !!!! 1……2…..3 !!!!
YOUR WINNER AND THE AWA Heavyweight Champion The American Dream Dusty Rhodes!!!!
COLE:" DUSTY RHODES' past has proven how great a wrestler he has been wherever he has been in the IWA and this is no exception!
What a great ass kicking match between these two!

MATCH # 5- WCW WOMAN'S cHAMPIONSHIP
TONI STORM(C0 vs SHAYNA BASZLER
Baszler immediately shoots in on Toni, but Toni stops the takedown, but Baszler gets a side headlock. Toni escapes into a head scissors, but Baszler counters back to the side headlock. Toni slips out and Toni then decides to ground things, Baszler quickly counters out and to her feet. They work to the ropes, and then Baszler lays in some leg kicks and Toni fires back with a kick, Baszler to the floor and Toni follows with a suicide dive. She follows with uppercuts, and then lays the boots to Baszler. Baszler fights back and slams Toni to the floor. Back in and Baszler starts toying with Toni, chop blocks her and follows with a running knee strike for 2. Baszler follows with ground and pound, and starts working the knee. She then viciously stomps away at the ankle, and then attacks the leg in the ropes. Baszler looks for an Irish whip but Toni collapses. Baszler keeps attacking, but Toni hits a desperation German, struggles to her feet and hits a limping ass attack. She slowly heads up top, Baszler cuts her off and follows her up top and hits a super gut wrench suplex for 2. Baszler with more ground and pound and pulls a knee bar. Toni fires up with strikes and escapes, but Baszler back to the leg but Toni hits a head butt. Toni hits Storm zero, but is slow to cover due to the leg, 1.....2......NO!!! Baszler fires back hits the running knee strike, but only gets 2. Toni counters the choke into the European clutch, but Baszler escapes and locks in the Ace of Spades and Toni fades but Shayna has it locked in. The ref checks Storms arm..... it drops once......it drops twice.......IT DROPS THE THIRD TIME AND STORM GRABS THE BITTOM ROPE!! Shayna thinks she's won! The ref tries telling her that Storm grabbed the bottom rope, therefore her hand did not drop the third time. Bazler moves in on Storm, who fights back out of desperation. Baszler puts Storm in a rear naked choke but all of a sudden Storm jumps up and kicks her feet off the turnbuckles and the momentum sends both ladies backwards to the mat. Storm rolls through and hits Storm Zero!!! 1.....2......3!!!
COLE:" This was a first for WWF fans and a first for a WWF ring!
I'd have to say due to the great reaction from the fans and the great ACTION we just witnesed,this may not be the last time we see women here in a WWF ring !"
MAIN EVENT
WWF Heavyweight title match
MAGNIFICENT MURACO (c) VS SUPERSTAR BILLY GRAHAM w/LORD ALFRED HAYES
After what transpired on RAW just a few days ago,everyone knew that these two were gonna go right at it...and thats exactly what they did!!
MURACO Is a damn powerful man himself so the usual big power advantage that SBG usually has over his opponents wasn't that big of one against the champ!
SBG won several tests of strength but it wasn't as decisive as usual and really started wearing the muscular challenger actually!
But what was helping SBG was timely interference and distractions form HAYES!
After one pin attempt was foiled for the champ when HAYES jumped up on the apron to distract the ref and as the crowd was booing...the boos turned to huge cheers as ROWDY RODDY PIPER came down to ringside!
PIPER went straight after HAYES and began pummeling him !
This distracted SBG long enough for MURACO to come up behind him,spin him around and hit a devastating clothesline on the challenger!
The crowd pops huge as MURACO lifts up GRAHAM and delivers the Tombstone pilefriver!
As PIPER has HAYES under control on the outside,MURACO covers SBG!!
But unfortunately , and like the snake he is...JAKE ROBERTS runs in and breaks up the pin and causing a DQ!
PIPER sees this and lets go of HAYES and runs in the ring!
However JAKE has slithered out of the ring and while PIPER and now MURACO are distracted by this,HAYES has pulled out SBG and soon all three heels are on their way back to the dressing room as the boos cascade down upon them!
PIPR and MURACO are angry and imploring the trio to " get yiour asses back in the ring!"
MICHAEL COLE:" What a helluva match that unfortunately solved nothing!
What a fantastic night oh firsts...great matches..and new champions crowned!
This kind of fed wide action is what the IWA is all about!
