LANCE RUSSELL opens the show by recapping WRESTLE KINGDOM which segues into him introducing the Inagural USWA Heavyweight Champion- RAVISHING RICK RUDE!
The WMC TV 5 crowd boos as RUDE comes out wearing the USWA Heavyweight Title!
He is ,of course, accompanied by his manager-JIMMY HART!
LANCE reluctantly congratulates the champ,but ofc that's about all he gets in edge wise as HART takes over the interview and shouts out a bunch of "i told you so's" and brags on how he guided RUDE to the title as he predicted!
RUDE then takes over and talks about how this proves what he has always said...that he's the best in the world!
1st Match: SUPERSTAR BILL DUNDEE vs PAT ROSE
ROSE gives a damn good accouning of himself but DINDEE is top notch in the ring and gets a pinfall victory with a small package!
LANCE RUSSELL is the joined by USWA commisioner JERRY JARRETT!
JARRETT announces that the IWA will be holding it's first CLASH OF CHAMPIONS on March 5th and the USWA is proud to be part of this big event!
And with the GFW holding their big shows in March ,well, the USWA is going to be a busy participant in the upcoming month!
He then announces that he has signed a match for the CLASH as he has decide it's time to have a match to decide the very first USWA Tag Team Champions as THE SHEEPHERDERS will face off against THE FANTASTICS!
JARRETT also announces that next week he will will have more on the GFW and the participants in their tournaments!
He then reminds everyone that the CLASH will be shown live on the USA Network on March 5th!
2nd Match-GREG THE HAMMER VALENTINE vs GENE LIGON
VALENTINE lives up to his nickname as he just beats down his hapless opponent before eventually tiring of him and finishinh him off with the figure four leg lock!
3rd Match-PAT PATTERSON vs KEN WAYNE
A fairly good back and forth match up which stays scientific and PATTERSON gets the pin after hitting the Bombs Away knee drop off the top turnbuckle!
LANCE interviews the USWA Television Champion-MASKED SUPERSTAR
SUPERSTAR talks about he's not one of these men that just like to wear titles...he wants to show all why he is the greatest TV champion in the IWA!
In fact,he says he'll defend his title against anyone right here on today's show!!
4th Match- KEVIN SULLIVAN W/buzz sawyer vs CARL FERGIE
SULLY destroys FERGIE as BUZZ maniacally cheers him on !
SULLIVAN is brutal here and then hits a double foot stomp to the solar plexus ,knocking the wind out of him ,and making it an easy pin for SULLY!
RUSSELL announces that the USWA received a mysterious e mail today ,simply stating " The KING IS COMING HOME!"
5th Match- DICK MURDOCH vs DANNY DAVIS
MURDOCH'S size proves to be too much for the smaller DAVIS as he is pinned after DICK hits a swinging neckbreaker!
MAIN EVENT
USWA TV TITLE
MASKED SUPERSTAR (C) vs ???
SUPERSTAR is in the ring anxiously awaiting who will accept his challenge!
The studio audience pops big as out comes RICKY STEAMBOAT!!
MS is not happy and is thrown off by the surprise appearance of STEAMBOAT!
Almost the entire match has STEAMNBOAT on the offensive as the champ never seems to gather his wits about him due to the shock of STEAMBOAT here in the USWA!
MS eventually just gets fed up and leaves the ring to be counted out as the crowd pops for STEAMBOAT who wins by count out but unfortunately not the belt!
