WCW Monday Nitro #30

     


Location: JQH Arena, Springfield MO.














   Jim Ross: "Hello once again wrestling fans, and welcome to another exciting edition of Nitro! Fans we are just days away from two of the biggest events of the Holiday season! On Thanksgiving Night, WCW goes heads up against our friends at Windy City Pro. Then just one night later..... an event that sets the tone for Wrestle Kingdom in January......it's Black Friday! I for one can't wait to......."       








  Jim Ross: "WELL I BE DAMNED.....WHAT A SURPRISE WE HAVE HERE! APPARENTLY THE HULKSTER IS ABOUT TO JOIN US HERE ON........"            



The excitement of Ross quickly changes as Adam Cole makes his way out the entrance ramp wearing a HULKAMANIA T-shirt and mockingly putting his hand up to his ear taunting the crowd as he makes to the ring. Cole enters the ring and rips the Hulkamania shirt off, laughing at the live crowd.




  Adam Cole: "Was you guys expecting someone else? No, no, no people..... it's not Hulk Hogan.... I'm Adam Cole..... BAY BAY!! And before I put a knife in the heart of Hulkamania next week, and prove once again why the Glory Heavyweight title is the most important in all of wrestling ..... I have two pieces of business to attend to. And that involves you Jim Ross!         


Cole jumps out of the ring and begins making his way towards Ross at the interview area. 


  Adam Cole: "Ya see, I was at the TV Title tournament this past weekend and heard Steve Williams out there running off at the mouth about how his boy, Jim Ross, pulled some strings to get him on that show. And I thought to myself this is the typical political bullshit that happens all to regularly around the IWA. So I ask you this Jim Ross..... why Steve Williams? Why didn't you call AJ Styles number? Why didn't you call The Young Bucks? Hell.... why didn't you call me???"     


   Jim Ross: "Well to be honest with you....."         

Adam Cole: "Honest?? Your going to be honest with me? Go ahead and be honest..... but you better make this good!"             

  Jim Ross: "Well..... quite frankly..... I think......I think ..... your a pompous asshole!"        

   Adam Cole: "See..... I knew you couldn't do it! You can't even be honest with yourself! The fact of the matter .....and you may think I'm an asshole.... but the fact of the matter is I'm not one of your boys! I'm not a guy like Dr. Death or Steve Austin that will kiss your ass am I Jim Ross? I don't load up in your pickup truck, drinking beer and going fishing, pretending to like you the way Doc or Austin does to get those special strings pulled for me!"         

  Jim Ross: "WELL WHO THE HELL ARE YOU THEN?"         

   Adam Cole: "Go ahead and raise your voice Ross. What's the matter? Did I hit a nerve? Who am I? You wanna know who I am? I'm the man who has wore this Glory title for over a year now. And when that company gave up..... I didn't! I refused to give up! Instead I kicked the door in of WCW and said I was here to defend it against each and every person here,  including Steve Austin!"    

  Jim Ross: "Well good for you! What's any if this have to do with me?"          

  Jim Ross: "Do you think that your the only one who has boys, Jim Ross? Do you? Don't think for one minute that all I have to do is make a couple of phone calls and me and my boys will set this company on its ass! But since he ignored me when I mentioned it before.... I want you to go to your boy Steve Austin and tell him I will be watching Black Friday. And regardless the result of that Elimination Chamber match.....I want a match against your boy..... title vs title! You go tell your boy that. I will be waiting for an answer......don't make me come looking for it!"

Match One: Ricochet vs Matt Sydal            

A handshake to start the match off and a stalemate is reached after some wristlock and armdrags are traded. Ricochet uses the ropes for a modified armdrag and dropkick. This leads to a chop battle. Ricochet backflips away but Sydal takes him down with a headscissors and spinwheel kick. Sydal kicks at Ricochet’s legs before giving him a dragonscrew leg whip. Ricochet sunset flips Sydal, but Sydal rolls through and double stomps him on the chest. Sydal kicks out Ricochet’s legs. He looks for a standing moonsault but Ricochet kicks him away. Ricochet then lands his own standing moonsault for two. Ricochet snapmares him out of a cravate, then hits a kneeling slingshot senton. He applies a bodyscissors, transitioning into a headscissors and Sydal fights back with more kicks to the leg. Ricochet chops him and stops some of his offense, until Sydal cracks him in the face with a knee strike. Sydal successfully pulls off a standing moonsault for two. Back on their feet, strikes are exchanged. Ricochet ends it with a Regalplex for two. He enzuigiri’s Sydal from the apron. He misses Chocolate Rain. Sydal clotheslines Ricochet in the corner, then comes off the top with Meteora for two. Ricochet goes for the Benadryller. Sydal cuts him off with an inverted legdrop bulldog for another two count. Sydal looks to bring Ricochet off the top with a headscissors. Ricochet lands on his feet. He catches Sydal with a kick to the face. Ricochet pulls him up for a suplex, which Sydal counters mid-air into a huracanrana for two. Sydal misses a moonsault. A couple of kicks to the head from Ricochet only leave Sydal down for a one count! The Benadryller, followed by a 630 splash, does the trick, giving Ricochet the pinfall victory! Ricochet helps Sydal up and Sydal congratulates Ricochet and hugs him before leaving the ring.

   Gene Okerlund: "Alright wrestling fans, help me welcome my guest at this time.... he is the reigning and defending IWA World champion..... "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair!!!"  




  Gene Okerlund: "Ric, they are lining up for miles around to get a shot at your IWA World title, and the big one happens next week at Black Friday, when you find out who you will face at Wrestle Kingdom!"       


  Ric Flair: "MEAN..... BYGAWD GENE!!! You hit the nail right on the head. But let them line up! It started with Shawn Michaels! But once he got in the ring with yours truly..... he tucked his tail and hasn't been heard from since! But when your Ric Flair.... they all wanna be like me. Trust me, I'm well aware of everything that goes on around the IWA. Take the WWF for example..... they got Hansen and Brody this weekend to see who will face me at Black Friday! Now I know what your thinking .... but Nature Boy.... Black Fridays only 10 days away! There's not enough time to prepare for Brody or Hansen. Well.... when your the Nature Boy.... and your the best thing going today..... I say they don't have the time to prepare for all this!

Which brings me to Kerry Von Erich and Thanksgiving Night! So Kerry went out and got a new manager and a new attitude. But to me, he will always be that dumb redneck from Texas outside of my league! They say flattery is the biggest compliment. And I seen Von Erich get a win using the figure four! Don't let it get to your head Von Erich.... it was one match. I've made a career out of breaking legs with that same hold. And on Thanksgiving Night, yours could be next! WOOOOOOOO!!!!"        



  Match Two: Bianca Belair vs Mia Yim for the WCW Womens title             

Belair opted for a methodical attack on Yim’s core and back. She tried prying Yim apart with an abominable stretch (which she amplified by clawing Yim’s ribs) and a bow-and-arrow submission hold. Later, she wrapped Yim’s body around the ring post, stretching Yim’s spine in all the wrong directions.

Despite the headwinds, Yim stayed in the game, threatening submissions and uncorking strikes at every turn. When the action spilled to the floor, she reversed Belair’s Glam Slam attempt and sent Belair crashing into the steel ring steps.

Dueling chants of “E-S-T” rained down as the action intensified. Belair regained the advantage with a high-angle German suplex before going for the Alley-Oop facebuster, 1.....2......3!!





As the replay is being shown, Belair celebrates in the ring when out comes Teddy Long!



 


  Teddy Long: "Now hold on a minute girl..... let Teddy Holla at ya! I've been so busy with getting Vader ready for the Elimination Chamber that I forgot to congratulate you properly on becoming the WCW Womens champion. And now that your the champ, the sky's the limit on what you and I can do together.  Ya feel me?"       


Bianca Belair: "Teddy..... I done told you! Not once, not twice, but three times now..... I won this title on my own.....and I'm gonna keep it....on my own! As far as anything having you and me together in it..... BOY..... UH-UH!!!"           

   Teddy Long: "I had a feeling you might say that. So with that being said, let me introduce to you your biggest nightmare!"      


Before Belair can turn around, she is attacked from behind by a mountain of a woman!



It's Jade Cargill!!!


Cargill hits a bicycle thrust kick to Belair, knocking her down. Teddy dances all around the ring as he instructs Jade on what to do as Jade lifts Belair up and delivers a Blue Thunder Bomb. Belair is down and out as Teddy and Jade stand over her, proud of the carnage they just created.

  Gene Okerlund: "What a night we have had so far tonight fans..... and we still have that huge tag team gauntlet match in our Main Event yet to come. Fans for the last few weeks, we have tried numerous times to be in contact with Jerry "The King" Lawler after what transpired at Violence of the Lambs! And up until this moment we have been unsuccessful.  But I finally got Jerry to agree to meet with me all by ourselves here tonight. Jerry, I know it's been a hard time emotionally for you, and it must be even harder to see your Son align with your biggest rival..... "Hotstuff" Eddie Gilbert?"      





   Jerry Lawler: "Well first off Gene, I want to thank everyone who has tried to reach me in the last few weeks. Whether it be by text, email, or the numerous amount of missed calls I got. I just wasn't ready to discuss it. And honestly I'm not sure if I'm ready now. I would hope that no one knows what this feeling is like..... to have your own flesh and blood..... your child ......turn on you the way mine did. I honestly...... I just don't know how....."          


Before Lawler can go any further he is approached by "The American Dream"...... Dusty Rhodes! 




   Dusty Rhodes: "Far be it from me to get in anyone's personal matters..... but Gene Okerlund I've known this man my entire life. Our paths have crossed many a time baby. And I consider him a friend. And like many friends would do, the Dream is here for his friend. Now Jerry..... I know your feeling bad deep down baby. I know. I have some crazy kids myself. And being a Father, I can feel your pain. Because you want the best for your children.  You love your children..... no matter the wrong they night do! But sometimes, being a Daddy, you gotta grab them kids by the ear, you know what I'm saying right now? Ya gotta grab em by the ear and lay the law down. Tough love, if ya will!! And that's why im here Jerry.  Because next week at Thanksgiving Turmoil,  the Dream needs ya to be right in the head for Team Dusty! Otherwise, Gary Hart's gonna have his boys eating us alive! So if it means you gotta get a little funky, and whoop that boy of yours fanny..... then Daddy.....that's what we gonna do! Now Mean Gene..... if you will excuse us.....we gotta go get this man ready for survival!"

  Jim Ross: "Welcome back fans! We are just moments away from our Main Event..... a tag team gauntlet match for the WCW tag team titles. We will start off with two teams, and once a team is eliminated,  a new team will enter until there's only one remaining team left. And we are going to find out who the first team is right now!"       





It's HotStuff International!!!



Gilbert and Christopher are led to the ring by Missy Hyatt to a loud chorus of jeers from the live audience. Then the lights dim and out comes team #2.......






Jim Ross: "MY GAWD!! ITS STING AND LUGER!! THE TOTAL PACKAGE IS BACK!! YOU CAN BET HOTSTUFF INTERNATIONAL ISNT READY TO SEE THE TEAM OF STING AND LUGER!"        



Main Event: Tag Team Gauntlet match for the WCW Tag titles         

Sting and Luger rush the ring a house of fire! Sting lays in vicious chops and Clobbering blows that stun Eddie Gilbert while Luger has Brian Christopher and hits a huge powerslam on him. Sting sends Gilbert into the turnbuckles...... STINGER SPLASH TO GILBERT!! Luger picks Christopher up and puts him in the Torture Rack!! The ref asks Christopher if he wants to quit as Luger looks down and sees.......





Scarlett puts the sand clock on the ring apron and walks away. Luger drops Christopher out of the Torture Rack and looks around for Killer Kross. Meanwhile Sting puts Gilbert in the Scorpion Deathlock! Luger jumps out of the ring and chases Scarlett! The ref pays no attention to Sting having Gilbert in the Scorpion and instead begins counting Luger out.

The cameras pan backstage where we see Scarlett getting into a vehicle.  Luger comes chasing after.  Luger sees Scarlett in the car and pounds on the window asking where Kross is. He should of looked behind him as Kriss attacks him from behind! Kross pounds on Luger as Sting , who is still in the ring,  sees what's happening and charges toward the back.

Back outside we see Killer Kross put Luger in a Full Nelson hold and ram Lugers head through the back passenger side window!!! Kross sees Sting coming and drops Luger to the pavement and jumps in the car with Scarlett and they speed off right as Sting gets there!


  STING & LEX LUGER ELIMINATED!              



Gilbert and Christopher try to comppse themselves as the next team enters the gauntlet.......





The WCW TAG CHAMPS..... BATISTA & RANDY ORTON!



The champs take their time getting to the ring as Gilbert and Christopher are still reeling from the effects of facing Sting and Luger! Gilbert challenges Orton to get in the ring! Right at that moment.....Jerry Lawler charges into the ring going after Christopher! But Christopher sees him coming and bails over the top rope and hauls ass to the back with Lawler chasing. Gilbert looks on and just then...... RKO OUTTA NOWHERE!!! Orton covers Gilbert, 1......2......3!!!!



  HOTSTUFF INTERNATIONAL ELIMINATED!!           


Orton and Batista don't get to bask in the Elimination very long as the next team comes out......





THE ROAD WARRIORS!


The pop from the live audience is deafening as the Warriors hit the ring.  Batista and Orton are smart enough to not just wait on them and attack the Warriors as soon as they get in the ring. Batista whips Animal into the ropes and Animal explodes out with a huge shoulder tackle to Batista! HAWK clotheslines Orton over the top rope to the arena floor. Powerslam to Batista by Animal. Hawk climbs the turnbuckles..... Orton tries to make the save but Hawk kicks him away! DOOMSDAY DEVICE TO BATISTA!! 1......2.......3!!! 


  RANDY ORTON & BATISTA ELIMINATED!       


   Jim Ross: "MY GAWD!! THE ROAD WARRIORS HAVE ELIMINATED ORTON AND BATISTA!! WE ARE GUARANTEED TO HAVE BRAND NEW CHAMPIONS AT THE END OF THIS MATCH. BUT WHO WILL THEY BE??"       


Our next team enters the gauntlet.......





THE HORSEMEN!!!



Tully tries to shouldertackle Hawk a few times but never even came close to budging Hawk. Instead Hawk military press slams Tully, forcing him to bail, but Hawk runs him down and tosses him back in the ring for a dropkick. Tully gets slammed while coming off the top, so he brings in AA. Arn gets clotheslined out of his boots. The Horsemen try to doubleteam Hawk, but he double clotheslines them. This is just a slaughter until Arn clips Hawk’s knee out from under him on a press slam. Tully cracks Hawk’s leg with a chairshot behind the referee’s back. Back in, he slaps on the figure-four. Arn tags in and does his overhand knucklelock spot and gets crotched. Animal gets the hot tag and runs roughshod over the Horsemen until Tully trips him up. Tully shoves the Referee to the outside. Animal backdrops Arn over the top. The Road Warriors knock Tully in the head with the chair and sends Tully out of the ring and finish Arn with the Doomsday Device as the groggy ref crawls in to count the pin. 1......2......3!!!! The Warriors celebrate as the fans go crazy.  However, the firsr recovers and says that he saw the Warriors  hit Tully with the chair.. He reverses the decision and disqualified the Warriors!


  THE ROAD WARRIORS ELIMINATED!         



Which brings out the final team in the gauntlet......




The action is crazy and all over the place. All four men are on the outside of the ring, as the action is now on the outside. Tully and Fenix are now back in the ring. Lucha Brothers are in control and the fans are on fire for the Lucha Brothers. Penta has Anderson  in a leg log and is working on the knee. Blanchard  comes in, but is met by a knee to the mid section. Penta has Arn on the rope and his giving him blows and the crowd counts along in Spanish. WIth ref not paying attention, Tully ties Penta to the middle rope. The ref unties Penta, as Blanchard continues the offense. Arn is tagged in and has Penta in a headlock, and doesn’t allow Penta to get the tag to Fenix. Both men end up down as the ref counts. Tully attempts to take down Fenix so he can’t tag in, but is met by a round house kick. Penta DDT’s Arn and tags in Fenix. Fenix gives the Horsemen a double cutter. Blanchard hits Fenix with the tag Belt and Arn attempts a pin 1......2....., but only gets a two count. Arn does a backdrop on Fenix with help from Tully, attempts a pin, but only gets a two count. Tully grabs the leg of Penta when the ref was not looking. Andersom has Penta in for several suplexe’s. Fenix frogs splashes Arn, but only gets a two count as the fans can't believe it. Tombstone piledriver off the second rope on Fenix, as Arn goes for a pin, 1......2.....NO!!!! Fenix does a roll up for a pin, but only gets a two count as the crowd chants this is awesome. Penta and Fenix spike Blanchard with a piledriver, 1......2......3!!!  THE LUCHA BROTHERS ARE YOUR NEWWWWW WCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! They celebrate in the ring as show fades to black!
