Joe : Hello Chicago!
Fans : Hi Joe !!!
Joe : I’m Joe Pedicino, we are one week away from IWA Anniversary and man we have action tonight . Right now here is your host , the Dean of Pro Wrestling, Gordon Solie !!!
Fans : Solie, Solie, Solie!!!
Gordon : Well !! Thank you and hello again. Joe said it right at the top . We have a great show tonight . 4 huge matches , interviews and of course surprises along the way . Here is Joe with the run down !!!
Joe : Gordon , like you said four huge matches tonight . Bob Backlund will take on Samoa Joe .
From there we have The Great Kabuki will be competing in the Octagon Gauntlet Match . Gary Hart will join you momentarily to tell us more about that .
Kerry Von Erich puts his American Television Title on the line against Mike Awesome
And due to contract obligations, HHH has to put up the Windy City Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title. He is signed against The Question Mark ??? Really ?? The Question Mark ???
Gordon , I see Gary Hart is with you .
Gordon : Thank you Joe . And Gary Hart tonight , The Great Kabuki must face something called the Octagon Gauntlet. What exactly is this match .
Hart : Gordon Solay , this is one of the oldest forms of a match there is . Ya see in ancient Japan , when a Ninja warrior wanted to challenge for a master’s position on of one of the five , the Master would sit on the throne as the warrior took on 7 of the greatest soldiers he had to offer . If he got through all 7 , then he fought that master . If the master lost , the Warrior would take his position and the master would retire .
Tonight , Kabuki will face that very obstacle. If he beats The Black Tiger , the Black Tiger goes away . If he loses at any point , he is owed into the Black Tiger’s debt for the next 8 years . 8 battles , 8 years that’s the Octagon.
The last time this challenge took place was in 1968 Kim Doo Kou took up the challenge for master of his village . He made it all the way to the 8th battle against Master Ki Chang Su and lost . This event inspired two movies . Game of Death with Bruce Lee and in 1980 the Octagon with Chuck Norris . This match has been moved to the main event in the second hour .
Gordon : Yes and of course Showtime had allowed extra time to accommodate tonight’s program . Thank you Mr . Hart . Right now let’s got to the ring .
Bob Backlund vs Samoa Joe: Backlund is still reeling for his Joe’s heinous attack on Backlund’s friend Hulk Hogan . And he goes right at Joe . He backs him up with some big time stiff elbows and then a series of Suplexes !! Joe , though hits a version of a Pele and then and puts Backlund in the corner and nails him with vicious knee strikes !!
Joe hits a Siaito Suplex and then goes for the Kita Clutch , but Backlund counters out and gets Joe in the Crossface Chicken Wing!!! Joe gets to the ropes for the break . Off the Break , Joe hits a spinning back fist !! Then lifts Backlund for a Muscle Buster and gets the 3 count .
Joe is about to put the Kita Clutch on Backlund , when Hogan comes out and puts a stop to him . Joe bales out and smiles and laughs at the champ . Hogan locks eyes .
Gordon : We have to get order restored . We will be back .

Gordon : Welcome back and joining me now IWA World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan. Well sir , it seems like it never stops for you .
Hogan : Dean Solie, first let me tell you , my brother Bobby is just fine , Samoa Joe , I’ll deal with you when the time comes dude , but brother Bob Backlund I don’t think is done , dude .
Dean Solie, next Saturday I got both that no good low life cheating Ric Flair and that crazy damn , stinky , big and ugly redneck Stan Hansen right where I want them . Right in the middle of the ring , brother . I got people telling me , Hulkster , are you crazy two men at once .
Well you see Dean Solie, they don’t have what I got . I’m not going in there alone brother . No , I got 75, 000 screaming Hulkamanics behind me brother and when I hear them both Ric Flair and Redneck Hansen will know the true power of Hulkamania brother , so Ric Flair, Stan Hansen whatcha gonna do , when the power of the Hulkamanics, the largest arms in the world and Hulk Hogan run wild on you ????
Gordon : World Heavyweight Champion , Hulk Hogan. Right now Joe , what’s our next match ?
Joe : Gordon , this next match is one fall with a 15 minute time limit and it’s for the American Television Championship. Introducing first , from Florida 290 pounds Mike Awesome.
His opponent is representing Evolution. He is the American Television Champion , 265 pounds , from Denton County, Texas . Kerry Von Erich !!!
Awesome is taking right to Kerry . He presses him and tosses him into the second row . As Kerry climbs over the guard rail , Awesome hits a over the top rope Suicida !!!
As he rolls Kerry in , he goes for the frog splash , Orton though comes out and distracts the ref , while Hollywood Dave shoves Awesome off the top rope !!!
Ahmed Johnson comes out and he brawls with Batista. Awesome is counted out . Orton is on the outside . He waits until Awesome gets up . RKO !!!
Kerry stands in the ring laughing , until he’s spun around by Barry Windham and laid out with a short arm lariat!!!
Now HHH comes down with a sledge hammer . Before he can get to the ring and , he’s attacked from behind .
Gordon : WAIT A MINUTE !!! THAT’s DUSTY RHODES !!!!
Dusty clubs HHH in the back of the head with his cast . HHH is out cold . Dusty rolls on the ring . Barry shoves him in the chest ! Dusty shoves back and then the two embrace !!!
Gordon : We got craziness here . Let’s get order restored . We’ll be back .

Gordon : Welcome back . And joining me right now is The American Dream Dusty Rhodes and Barry Windham.
Barry : Big Dust !!! Welcome back !!! And I know you got a lot to say , but so do I . Kerry Von Erich, it’s my turn . You’ve had it easy since you won that belt . But at IWA Anniversary 1 , it’s you and me . American Television Title, no time limit . I got you where I want you .
Dusty : HHH , I gotta hand it to you . Your plan worked , you took the American Television Title off the American Dream and put me in the shelf . Well , you need to try better . You see , just like in Hollywood, the couldn’t kill Clint Eastwood, they couldn’t kill off Randolph Scott , you didn’t kill John Wayne and baby , you damn sure ain’t gonna kill the American Dream Dusty Rhodes.
HHH , tonight was only the beginning of a new revolution to your evolution!!! The Dream is leading the Dream team at you . You took the American Television Title and gave it to your patsy. Well look around every corner , check your doors . Look under the bed . Your worst nightmare is coming in the form of the American Dream baby . And I’m going to take the Windy City Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title daddy.
Gordon : Gentlemen , thank you . Joe , you have news .
Joe : Gordon , HHH is unable to defend . So we will be going right to the Octagon Gauntlet. Right after we look at more Showtime Programing .

Gordon : Welcome back and there you see him in the ring . The Great Kabuki. 7 different wrestlers from around the globe . 7 very different styles . If he gets through those , he faces The Black Tiger and if he somehow defeats Black Tiger , Black Tiger will be gone from Windy City. If Kabuki loses at any point , he is the servant of Black Tiger for 8 years .
A throne is now hoisted up on the stage where the house band usually plays . Gary Hart leads out his man , The Black Tiger . Tiger is dressed in Ninja Royalty Garb . He’s then presented flowers by two women and then given a long sword
by a servant who bows to him . The Black Tiger then sits on the throne and waits .
Kabuki vs Nokoli Volkoff : The Russian strong man isn’t waisting any time . Several thunderous body slams and a back breaker are the story . At the 5:33 mark , while in a Bearhug , Kabuki delivers double chops to the side of the neck and then a knee to the gut , followed by a Mau Ty clinch and a knee to the chin !! He covers Volkoff . 1....2...3 .
Kabuki wins the 1st challenge
Kabuki vs George The Animal Steel : Animal storms the ring . Kabuki goes for a ridge hand strike , but to his surprise the Animal , although crazy is faster than he looks . He grabs the hand and bites it !!! Kabuki is thriving in pain and the ref’s only job is to count in and out of the ring . So this is legal .
The hand is starting to bleed . George sets for the Hammerlock , but Kabuki hits a spinning elbow and then a ridge hand strike to Animal’s throat with his left hand . He covers 1....2....3 !
Kabuki wins the second challenge .
The Great Kabuki vs The Great Kahli : Kabuki goes on the offense early here . He has no plans to let the big man anywhere near him . He chops him the chest , but you can see with each strike a slight twinge ! Kabuki uses leg kicks in rapid succession . Kahli is hurt and can’t continue .
Kabuki wins the third challenge .
Kabuki’s next competitor attacks him from behind . It’s his old partner Magic Dragon . Dragon hits him with a leaping elbow strike in the back of the head . Kabuki goes down . Dragon now uses a rear naked choke . Kabuki begins to fade until ..... Mr . Fuji comes out and plays cheerleader . The crowd gets behind Kabuki . Kabuki gets to his feet and hits a snap mare !!! Magic Dragon turns around right into a spinning heel kick . Kabuki , then hits a face buster and then as Dragon gets to his feet , Shinning Wizard !!! Kabuki covers and gets 3 .
The fourth challenge has been won . It is now time for a two minute rest period that the warrior has earned . In that time Mr . Fuji comes out soaks Kabuki’s hand in some kind of essential oil and then wraps it .
Kabuki vs Hollywood Dave Batista: This was an obvious pay off by Hart . Batista went to the podium and told Gordon , he’s not trying for a pin or victory . He was well rewarded to just hurt Kabuki .
And that is exactly what he does . For 15 minutes . He hits him with some big clotheslines . A buckle bomb and then a Demon Bomb . Now puts Kabuki over his back in a HANGMEN’s Backbreaker!!! Kabuki works his way out and with a school boy he gets the pin . Batista right after hits a Demon Bomb!!! When he goes for another , Mr . Fuji comes in and throws salt in his eyes and then hits five headbutts, busting him open .
Batista goes to the podium . And tells Gordon , that short chubby son of a bitch will have hell to pay .
Kabuki has won the 5th challenge .
Kabuki lays in the corner . This Octagon has obviously taken an effect on him .
Ultimo Dragon enters the ring . Mr . Fuji is throwing a fit . He’s shocked to see him . Under his mask Dragon smiles and then lights up Kabuki with a series of kicks and then a palm strike that knocks Kabuki out of the ring . But when. He goes for the Asi Moonsault, Kabuki is up and hits a sidekick to Dragon . Kabuki covers on the outside . 1....2....3 !
Kabuki has one the 6th challenge .
As Kabuki gets to his feet , he’s attacked from behind . Dynamite Kid bounces his head off the ring post and then hits a release German Suplex on the floor . As Dynamite pulls Kabuki up by the hair , Kabuki uses the mist to blind Dynamite and rolls him up for the 3 count .
Gordon : The 7th challenge has been won . Here we go . One has to wonder if Kabuki has anything left .
Hart and Mr. Fuji stand toe to toe . They both bow and then take their leave of the ringside area . Gordon , who had googled the rules tells us that in the final round , all assists, students and teachers must bow and leave the Octagon area . As per the rules of final engagement.
Black Tiger waits for Kabuki to get into the ring . And then leaves the throne and now walks down to the ring , upon entry , he pulls out a Kendo Stick and cracks Kabuki in the shoulder !!! Kabuki howls in pain , but invites Tiger to hit him again . Tiger hits him on the back , but when he goes for the legs Kabuki shatters it with a shin block !!! The crowd is in awe .
Kabuki now chops Tiger with his left hand , but on one of the chops , Tiger gets off a side kick and then goes around to the right hand and puts on a Fujiwara and tears at the bandage . Now Tiger starts kinda clawing at the open wound .
Kabuki pushed past the pain and then grabs the mask of Tiger who is so concerned with the mask he lets off the hold . But the damage has been done . Tiger rubs the hand on the mat and then pulls his man to his feet . Exploder Suplex . He covers 1.....2..... Nooooo !! Kabuki gets a shoulder up .
Tiger goes for a Tiger Driver , but Kabuki spins out and gets off a makeshift DDT !! Tiger stumbles to his feet , SUPERKICK !!!! KABUKI COVERS 1.....2....3 !!!!
Gordon : It’s over . The Black Tiger has to leave Windy City Pro Wrestling. And look at this .
The two men bow and then embrace . Tiger pulls off his mask revealing he is Misawa .
Gary Hart comes out to the podium .
Hart : Kabuki ... look ova here . You have your victory , but I’m still around and you will pay for what you did to me . But tonight , enjoy you moment .
Hart takes his leave .
Gordon : We are out of time . For Joe Pedicino, I’m Gordon Solie saying so long from the Windy City of Chicago.
