Paradigm Live at the Cockpit #3

***** Paradigm is back at the Cockpit Theater in Marylebone, London for its 2nd event .... These shows are similar to Takeover shows in style and setting .... it is treated as a special show, but the venue is smaller and very intimate, putting the fans right in the middle of the action ***** The show is live-streamed on Paradigm’s YOUTUBE channel .... Gabby Loren is once again tonight’s MC for Paradigm’s 3rd live event, and she constantly walks around ringside and engages the fans, making them feel like they are part of the show .... In between matches, Gabby is ringside conducting interviews with other Paradigm talent to introduce them to the audience and set up potential matchups on the next show ....

Tonight is special for the live fans as they are treated to special guest performance from FOZZY!!!! .... CHRIS JERICHO comes out on stage and brings out the rest of the band, and they perform a live set for the crowd ....


At the end of the concert Eric Bischoff shows up on stage and shakes hands with Jericho, obviously taking credit for the fact Fozzy is there .... He takes a bow with the rest of the band, then joins Gabby at ringside ....


GABBY LOREN INTERVIEWS ERIC BISCHOFF ...

Bischoff makes it clear from jump what his goals are for Paradigm.  Tony Khan may write the checks, but there is no doubt that it’s Eric Bischoff that runs this company .... He is the one that brings in the big stars like FOZZY .... He is the one responsible for bringing a major promotion back to the UK .... They could have gone to Ireland or Spain or Japan or even the United States, but he brought them here .... Not only do they have an All-Star roster of exclusive talent, Paradigm will also showcase the best independent talent that British wrestling has to offer and give them a chance to perform on the big stage .... Like Royal Albert Hall .... He hypes Paradigm’s TV debut from Royal Albert Hall, but everyone is asking ‘When will the first champion in Paradigm be crowned?’  Bischoff says their firstchampion will be the ‘ELITE’ champion, and he will be crowned in a 5 man gauntlet match .... the qualifying matches will begin on the TV debut with 2 big matches ....

1. We’ve seen then as opponents, we’ve seen them as partners.  The ‘Chosen Bros’ Matt Riddle and Jeff Cobb will have their one on one rematch with the winner going into the Gauntlet title match

2. Bobby Lashley & Keith Lee will fight in a match where there must be a winner ....

Bischoff is interrupted by female wrestler Hyan, who also appeared on the first Cockpit Show .... She’s so sorry to interrupt Mr. Bischoff but she is asking for a job .... She says Paradigm’s roster is in need of a ‘Renaissance Woman’ .... Bischoff thinks about it for a second and says she’s right, so he is going to give her a shot at the big time .... All the women in that locker room are ready to jump at the chance of being on Paradigms first TV show, but he is going to give her the opportunity of a lifetime!  Hyan will be on the firstshow, and her opponent is someone he just signed to an exclusive Paradigm contract ....


.... HIKARU SHIDA!  Hyans expression goes from one of glee to one of fear as we see clips of Shida on the big screens .... We then go up to the ring for our first match, which includes another Paradigm debut ....


RESULTS:  Yim, the self-proclaimed “Blasian Baddie,” boasts an extensive background in both Muay Thai and Taekwondo. Her striking prowess and submission expertise make Yim a threat to be reckoned with, and her future on the UK scene is bright .... Nova starts out well until Mia goes after her knee .... Mia follows with the corner cannonball for 2 .... Samuels comes back and wears down Yim with a chinlock for a while but Mia battles back with strikes .... Nova goes for her ‘Nova Drive’ finisher (rebound stunner) but walks right into the ‘Kick Me Goodnight’ (roundhouse) out of nowhere .... Nova is on dream street, and Protect Ya Neck gets Mia the 3 count ....



GABBY LOREN IS RINGSIDE ...

Gabby repeats what Eric Bischoff said earlier about how Paradigm is committed to showcasing some of the top independent talent on the British Wrestling scene .... she directs our attention to the upgraded big screens on either side of the stage, where a small featurette on each of the men in the next match plays on the screen ....

JORDAN DEVLIN - Like many of his Irish countrymen, Jordan Devlin brings a physical, in-your-face intensity to the ring.  Beginning his training at age 12, Devlin calls himself ‘The Irish Ace’.  He was once prominent in the UK’s expansion of Bullet Club, but now Devlin is on his own and out to prove that you never bet against an Ace ....

RICH SWANN:An agile acrobat with a fondness for showboating, the ring became an outlet for Swann after a rough upbringing.  He has hooked crowds on the independent scene with his infectious charisma, often turning his entrances into karaoke parties as the fans sing along to Lionel Richie’s ‘All Night Long’.  Living up to that monicker, Swann has shown that he can go all night long with the best at any weight class ....


RESULTS:  Paradigm continues to feature some of the best European talent on the British independent scene in this match with Jordan Devlin, who trained with Becky Lynch and former Junior Champion Finn Balor, and recently was a member of Progress UK .... Swann, meanwhile, is known on the US independent scene as well as his time in XWA as part of the Charm City Squad .... Amazing action in this one, showcasing Paradigms emphasis on the Cruiserweight division .... Swann hits the standing 450 for a 2 count, then goes up top but Devlin meets him and hits a Spanish fly off the top!  Swann escapes Devil Inside and hits a spin kick, then a Lethal Injection .... Swann up top and hits the Phoenix Splash but Devlin kicks out again!  Swann goes for another Lethal injection but Devlin catches him on the rebound with Devil Inside (pulling deadlift backdrop driver)!  Devlin grabs Swanns arm and pulls him up off the mat into the FULL Devil Inside!  Ireland’s Call finishes it ....

Devlin looks straight at the camera and asks Eric Bischoff if he was watching that .... ‘Never bet against an Ace!’



BACK TO GABBY LOREN AT THE TOP OF THE RAMP ...

Gabby brings out ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page and ‘The Walking Weapon’ Josh Alexander, who just signed exclusive Paradigm deals .... Page says they are called ‘The North’ and they come from the greatest country in the world .... CANADA!  Page says individually they are already better than the Paradigm roster, but as a tag team they are unstoppable .... you are looking at the future of tag team wrestling as you know it .... Page says they aren’t wrestling tonight in front of a couple hundred wankers at a low-rent place like the Cockpit, they will make their in-ring arrival on Paradigms debut TV show, and Eric Bischoff better have them some good competition ....

Out comes Trent Seven & Tyler Bate, Mustache Mountain, to interrupt!  Seven says if The North are laying out a challenge, then Mustache Mountain accepts .... Page & Alexander laugh, obviously not taking them seriously .... They accept the match with Mustache Mountain for the Paradigm TV debut ....




RESULTS:  Big lads doing big lads things in this match .... Holland bullies Wolfgang into the corner and hammers him with hard forearm shots .... Wolfgang battles back and gives as good as he gets, but Ridge shows his power with a head & arm ‘Ridge-plex’ .... Holland hits a fireman carry double knee gutbuster on the exposed knees (Holland doesn’t wear knee pads because knee pads are for bitches) for a 2 count .... Wolfgang hits an enziguri that stuns Holland, then follows up with a spear .... Wolfgang goes for the Swanton Bomb, but Holland gets the knees up into the back and then hits a thunderous Alabama Slam .... Holland drills Wolfgang with the Northern Grit for the pin ....


BACK TO GABBY LOREN AT THE TOP OF THE RAMP ...

This time Gabby directs everyone’s attention to the video screens, where we see a video package on another exclusive talent newly signed to Paradigm, ANGEL GARZA ....

Blessed with movie-star good looks, a spectacular sports-entertainment pedigree and machismo to spare, ANGEL GARZA is an attention-getter of the highest degree.  The third-generation luchador, who hails from Mexico’s famed Garza wrestling dynasty, broke into the sport at age 15 and hasn’t looked back since. Describing himself as having a “pretty face” and a “perfect body,” Garza loves to whip admirers into a frenzy and he’s not bashful about praising his own abilities or even his cosmetic appeal.  In short, Garza’s good and he knows it.


GABBY LOREN INTERVIEWS ANGEL GARZA ON THE STAGE ...

Garza comes out and he’s in full machismo mode as he flirts with Gabby .... the segment is interrupted as Austin Theory comes out for the next match .... Theory comes walking by with Brandi Lauren, and Garza immediately takes notice of Lauren ....



RESULTS: This match stems from the last show at the Cockpit, where Kidd and Theory were partners against The Chosen Bros but Theory walked out on his partner .... Angel Garza is still floating around ringside, keeping his eye close on Brandi Lauren ....

Theory uses his power early on with a tossing gutwrench slam, But Kidd comes back with a dropkick .... Theory escapes the Sharpshooter attempt early on, then hits the rolling Thunder dropkick .... but Theory is too cocky and wastes his time show-boating, which allows Kidd to takes out his legs and lock in a figure four around the ring post .... Slingshot elbow gets 2 for Kidd, but Theory catches him off the top and hits a torture rack spun into a blue Thunder powerbomb for a 2 count .... Meanwhile, Angel Garza approaches Brandi and starts flirting with her .... In the ring, Theory hits the RP1 (cross-legged brainbuster onto the knee), but he is distracted by Garza flirting with Brandi at ringside .... this allows Kidd to roll him up from behind for the 3 count!!!!

Garza backs away smiling, but Theory is FURIOUS at ringside ....

GABBY LOREN BRINGS OUT TAMA TONGA, TONGA LOA & BAD LUCK FALE

Tama Tonga puts the Mob Bosses over, but says all everyone wants to talk about is how they are what’s left of Bullet Club .... Nah son, they were always the backbone of Bullet Club but Tongan blood is forever .... The Club is dead, but the Tongans are about to run this shit and everyone is on notice from here on out ....



RESULTS: This is a battle of the two strongest women on Paradigms roster .... Grace has the size advantage but Saiki has her in speed .... Lots of shows of strength to start it out and we end in a stalemate .... Saiki hits some strikes but Grace manages to catch her in a powerslam and then she grinds her down with a bear hug .... Reika fights back and hits a back suplex on Grace, then a missile dropkick .... a huge knee strike nearly KO’s Grace but she rolls to the floor to escape .... Reika with a dive but Grace catches her and slams her back-first into the ring post!  Saiki escapes the torture rack by Grace and hits a tornado DDT, but can’t lift Grace for the jackhammer due to the injured back .... this allows Grace to hit the ‘Fall from Grace’ (pumphandle half-Nelson driver) for the 3 count!


GABBY LOREN INTERVIEWS JOHNNY GARGANO & CANDICE LERAE


Gabby says it’s no secret to anyone that they are married, and talks about how they made history by being the only inter-gender team and only husband/wife team to win a championship in any UWF promotion when they won the Progress tag team titles .... She is certain they will both have a chance to be singles champions in Paradigm, but do they have the same goals as a couple as far as tag team gold?  Johnny says he is focused on an opportunity to qualify for the Paradigm Elite title right now, but you never know .... there is no one else that he trusts and has his back 100% like his wife ....


‘REALIST KILLAZ’ by Tupac hits and out come the Rottweilers led by Eddie Kingston!  What are they doing out here??? .... Kingston takes the mic from Gabby, and Johnny steps between them and Candice .... Kingston is laughing ....

KINGSTON - ‘Oh so this is what we got now?  You might as well sit there and just spit in our faces.  You don’t represent people like us .... you don’t represent the underdogs, the stray dogs and you damn sure don’t represent the unwanted.  This ain’t no gimmick padnuh!  You see, the three of us came to the UK because we heard all the promises about how the UK was full of real men.  Real competition.  The UK used to be full of fighters.  Strong style right?  Instead we get this.  The Gargano family fairy tale.  This place ain’t full of men.  There are no fighters here.  Now it’s just full of pussies like you .... literally.  You’re not a fighter, you’re just an actor.  

These people think you’re the underdogs?  This fairy tale bullshit is an insult to real guys like us!  What these marks don’t realize is you wouldn’t last 2 seconds in the ring with some killers like us.  We are Rottweilers, boy, and we will rip your fuckin throat out.  Everyone has fallen in love with ‘wrestling’s cutest couple’, everyone’s so inspired .... Nobody talks about the unwanted workhorses like us that will fly across the world to wrestle for free because this is all we’ve got!  See, it’s guys like us that people bring in to put in the ring with guys like you to make you a star!  To make these people love you!  We are from New York, padnuh .... Yonkers ... Queens ... Brooklyn!  We are about that life and we are as real as it gets!  We are real fighters, not fucking sports entertainers!  And it’s time someone showed these people that fairy tales don’t exist in the real world!’

Like a pack of dogs The Rottweilers attack Gargano .... Johnny tries to fight them off but it does no good and he has the shit kicked out of him .... Candice tries to come in, but Kingston just reacts hits her right in the face with a very stiff ‘Backfist to the Future’! ... The crowd reacts with a gasp, and Kingston even pauses for a second and can’t believe what he’s done .... He acts like it was a mistake, but it quickly becomes clear that it wasn’t a mistake at all .... they go right back to kicking the shit out of Johnny, who is still down .... Candice crawls over to Johnny, and you can see she is bleeding from the mouth, and tries to cover her husband from their attack .... Kingston calls off the dogs, but then grabs Candice by the hair and pulls her head up for everyone to see her bloody mouth .... LOW KI KICKS HER RIGHT IN THE FACE!!!!  The crowd is throwing trash in the ring now, and even Eric Bischoff is out there now .... Bischoff has security escort the Rottweilers out of the building as the scene around ringside is near riotous .... the trainers are checking on Candice as a beaten Johnny Gargano crawls over to his wife .... he takes her by the hand as the trainers have to end up carrying her out ....  




RESULTS:  The Tongans attack from the jump and beat down the Japanese guys .... Nakamura and Tama Tonga end up in the ring and Nakamura hammers him back with strikes .... Ibushi is in and follows with strikes but Tama Tonga suplexes him into the buckles .... Fale comes in and pounds on Ibushi and the Tongans triple team him .... Ibushi strikes with a roundhouse to Tanga Loa and both men are down .... Hot tag to Itami, who takes out Tama Tonga with a flying clothesline .... all 6 men are going at it now, and Ibushi hits the Gold Star Moonsault to the outside on Fale .... in the ring, Itami goes for the GTS on Tama Tonga but Loa breaks it up .... they hit the Samoan drop + corkscrew neckbreaker for a 2 count but Nakamura breaks it up .... Reverse exploder takes out Tama Tonga, and he sets Loa up for the Kinshasa but Fale pulls him to the floor .... GRENADE!  Itami wipes Fale out, and Ibushi back in and sets Loa for the Gold Star powerbomb but Tama clips the knee .... GUN STUN!  Ibushi kicks out!  Loa & Tonga hit Guerrilla Warfare (Assisted double arm DDT) and they get the pin!

Gabby hypes Paradigms TV debut from Royal Albert Hall in London .... Matches already announced for the show include Keith Lee vs. Bobby Lashley II, Matt Riddle vs. Jeff Cobb, The North make their tag team debut against Mustache Mountain as well as the debut of Hikaru Shida ....

But now, It’s time for our main event ....


A video package airs highlighting the rivalry between Cara Noir & Ilja Dragunov that has raged on the British independent scene .... This is a strange clash of Swan Lake meets War & Peace, this Anarchy vs. Beauty, this ‘Theater of Violence’ as it is called by the European fans ....  




Now it is Dragunov’s turn to play mind games with Noir as he comes out with his face painted like Noir’s .... Both guys offer a handshake of respect before their war begins, as the crowd is chanting ‘THIS IS AWESOME!’ before they even touch .... the two pause to appreciate the recognition of their previous 2 matches before they circle one another ready to begin ....





RESULTS:  These guys know each other very well, and Noir forgoes the feeling out process and attacks by going for the Black Swan sleeper immediately, looking to end it .... Ilja fights him off with strikes and then hits the Torpedo Moscau out of nowhere!  The force of the move sends Noir flying out of the ring and he’s down on the outside .... Ilja looks confused, unsure what to do as the ref starts his count but Ilja decides he doesn’t want to win the match that way and he stops him .... he goes outside and tosses Noir back in, but as he slides back in gets hit with a superkick from Noir .... Ilja with the spinning back chop, then hits a Gotch release powerbomb!  UN ... BE ... SEIG ... BAR (Russian for Invincible)!  Dragunov goes for the Todpedo Moscau again but Noir catches him in mid-air in the Black Swan sleeper!  SLEEPER SUPLEX DROPS DRAGUNOV ON HIS HEAD!  Holy Shit!  Dragunov is clutching the neck as the ref checks on him, and Noir hesitates .... but only briefly as he nails Dragunov with a Swan Woo dropkick (shotgun dropkick)!  He picks him up .... PACKAGE PILEDRIVER!  1 ... 2 ... 3!


Cara Noir wins fall 1 (1-0)

The story here isn’t the suddenness of the first fall, but that Ilja Dragunov’s neck is now in bad shape .... Noir attacks the neck with a German suplex .... Dragunov fires off some forearm shots then some palm strikes .... Dragunov continues to clutch the neck .... Dragunov lights Noir up with chops now as Noir’s chest begins to bleed from the busted blood vessels .... Noir comes back with Ax & Smash to the neck of Ilja, then a rebound German suplex and a superkick .... Noir lays in with shoot kicks now but Dragunov fires back .... Noir hits a shoot headbutt that leaves him more damaged than Ilja, allowing Dragunov to hit the Burning Hammer & Sickle (kneeling burning hammer) by Dragunov!  Dragunov is clutching the neck but crouches for Torpedo Moscau .... He charges again, but Noir catches him in mid-air again into the Black Swan sleeper!  Noir can get the hooks in, and Dragunov is able to power him up onto his shoulders .... Death Valley Driver into the corner buckles!  UN ... BE ... SEIG ... BAR!  Torpedo Moscau connects!!!!  1 ... 2 ... 3!  


Ilja Dragunov wins fall 2 (1-1)

And now for the Final Act of this drama in the Theater of Violence as both men slowly rise and stand toe to toe in the middle of the ring .... we get crazy fists from both men and it’s a hockey fight!  Noir with a shoot headbutt but hurts himself, and Dragunov shakes it off and hits some rapid fire back chops to the neck of Noir .... Spinning back chop to the chest takes down Noir .... Noir’s chest is beaten and bloody .... Ilja takes him back to the top and hits a super-plex, then holds on and floats over, BUT NOIR COUNTERS WITH MADAME GUILLOTINE!  


Both men are down, to grateful applause from the crowd.  Noir tries to grab the Black Swan sleeper but this time Ilja rolls backwards ala Bret Hart into a pin and forces Noir to break the hold .... Ilja hits a German suplex into the corner on Noir, then goes up top in the opposite corner and hits a coast to coast Van Terminator dropkick!!!!  1 ... 2 ... Noir kicks out!!!!  Noir with a superkick and then a rude awakening to the injured neck of Dragunov and both guys are down again!  Rising to their feet, they hit multiple double clotheslines with both guys refusing to go down until Dragunov hits the Ode To Constantine (619 into discus Lariat) for a near-fall ....


Ilja crouches in the corner, setting for the Torpedo Moskau finish .... ‘UN ... BE ... SEIG ... BAR!’  Noir explodes with a torpedo moskau of his own instead!!!!  


Both guys slowly rise, with Ilja on his knees in the middle of the ring .... Noir with some rapid fire superkicks to Dragunov as he is on his knees!  Noir reaches down and pulls Ilja to his feet and kisses him on his forehead .... Ilja flips out of the package piledriver attempt and lands behind Noir .... Headbutt!  Both men stagger .... Noir with a Swan Woo dropkick!  He goes up top but Dragunov stops him .... Dragunov gets him up for a top rope burning hammer, but Noir wiggles free into the Black Swan sleeper!


They fall from the top rope, but Noir doesn’t let go!  He has it locked in tight .... Dragunov won’t tap!!!!  He fades, and the ref checks his arm .... it drops!  The ref waves it off!!!!  

Cara Noir wins fall 3 (2-1)


POST MATCH:  These guys get a tremendous standing ovation from the crowd .... People in the stands even throw streamers and roses in the ring to celebrate these two pillars of British independent wrestling .... Eric Bischoff even comes out on the ramp and gives them applause .... the crowd fires up dueling chants of ‘PLEASE SIGN CA-RA!’ and ‘PLEASE SIGN IL-JA!’ directed at Bischoff .... Noir takes a bow to the crowd as Gabby thanks the fans and plugs Paradigms TV debut from Royal Albert Hall .... the lights dim as part of Noirs celebration, but then THE LIGHTS GO OUT!  

When they come back up standing in the ring is ... CHRIS JERICHO!  JUDAS EFFECT TO CARA NOIR!!!!  


Jericho stands over Noir, a look of total disgust on his face as he stares down at him .... Ilja Dragunov comes back in the ring to save Noir, and Jericho leaves ....
