Battle of LA replaces the Queen of the Ring match that I put on for 10 years in the UWF .... The 16 names were announced on wewillRISE.com and they will take part in 8 qualifying matches at RISE #3 & 4 with the winners advancing to the one-night BOLA tournament taking place at RISE #5 ....

Bischoff is interrupted by the arrival of Bayley, Tessa Blanchard and the IWA All-Star Women’s champion Sasha Banks .... Tessa has what looks to be a prepared statement in her hand and she reads from it .... Bischoff nods to her and gives her the ring and leaves ....

TESSA - ‘In the last 2 weeks, I have dealt with an onslaught of questions from the mainstream media, the dirt sheets, and even management about the ‘unfortunate’ incident involving her and Asuka at RISE #2 .... I have prepared a statement and will address it now, then I’ll put it behind me.  What happened was an unfortunate accident and I was careless and unsafe in my actions .... I deeply regret ....’

Tessa stops reading, and it’s like she can’t go on .... Instead, she rips up the prepared statement and throws it away .... Sasha and Bayley are laughing ....

TESSA - ‘Nah, you know what?  Forget that!  Yeah I did it .... so what?  I put 10 stitches in Asuka’s head when I threw a chair in her face .... And since then, where is Asuka?  I see her on TV in New York, or in Texas .... she can defend the title against Rhea Ripley or Io Shirai, but she’s afraid to show her face in RISE ... why?  Because she knows if she does I will knock it off again!  You see Asuka, Tessa Blanchard is the measuring stick, and sweetie you just don’t measure up.  And until you can beat ME, you can’t call yourself a real world champion ....’

Tessa hands the mic to Bayley ....

BAYLEY - ‘Now, this brings me to Becky Lynch.  Becky, at RISE #2 we gave you a chance to be a part of the most dominant force in women’s wrestling .... We did that because we thought you were our friend, but instead you spat in our faces ....’

TESSA - ‘Hang on Bayley, let me stop you right there .... Becky acts like she is the one that made the choice not to be a part of Valkyrie .... But in reality that choice was made for her! .... I extended the invite to Becky out of respect for you and Sasha because you said she was your friend, but it was clear from the start that Becky Lynch doesn’t belong in Valkyrie .... And we don’t need her!  The three of us standing right here are already the most dominant force in women’s wrestling!’

SASHA - ‘That’s right .... Becky, you are a selfish person .... You want it to be all about you, about ‘The Man’?  What does that even mean?  I hear these people cheering for you, but the truth is I think you are starting to believe your own hype a little too much .... Becky,  you made the wrong choice and tonight I’m gonna make you regret that decision!’

Kairi Sane’s music hits and she comes out for our first match and our first ‘Battle of Los Angeles’ qualifying match ....

1. ‘BATTLE OF LOS ANGELES’ Qualifying match:
Bayley vs. Kairi Sane

Kairi hits the ring a house of fire and takes it to Bayley .... a distraction from Sasha stops all that and Bayley takes over .... Bayley hits the Bayley 2 Belly but Sane gets her foot on the ropes to break the count .... Bayley & Sasha argue with the refs, which allows Sane to recover .... Lacey comes out and attacks Sasha, but Sasha sends her into the ring steps .... Sane hits Bayley with a spinning back fist and then she goes up top .... IN-SANE ELBOW!  1 ... 2 ... Sasha puts Bayley’s foot on the ropes this time!  Spinning back fist takes out Sasha!  Bayley nails Sane from behind and goes for the headlock driver but Sane counters into a roll up for a 3 count!  Kairi Sane qualifies for BOLA!

Sane slides out of the ring with Lacey as Sasha hits the ring pissed off ....

AT THE PODIUM:

CHARLY CARUSO brings out Deonna Purazzo .... Tonight, Purazzo faces Toni Storm in a street fight and the winner qualifies for BOLA .... Purazzo says an artist such as herself should not be subjugated to lower herself to be in a street fight .... she is classy and sophisticated .... But this is what Toni Storm wanted so she isn’t leaving here tonight without her arm ....

2. Tag Team match:
Val-ifornia (Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville) w/ SoCal Val vs. Rachel Ellering & Taylor Wilde

Rose & Deville look really impressive here as SoCal Val comes over and does guest commentary to put her clients over .... Valifornia get the decisive win with their finisher, ‘Valifornication’ which is basically Rose hitting a bicycle knee from one side while Deville hits a bicycle knee from the other side to an opponent on their knees ....

POST MATCH: Mia Yim comes out with a kendo stick and goes straight for Valifornia but security comes out and gets between her ....

AT THE PODIUM ....

AJ LEE comes out and talks to CHARLY CARUSO next .... AJ says she is a loner and doesn’t fit the mold of some of these other divas in the locker room .... She talks about how she came from nothing to be a champion in other territories, but now she’s in RISE and the slate is clean .... it’s time to prove herself all over again .... she will do that tonight as the Phoenix title tournament begins ....

AJ is interrupted by JINNY!  Jinny comes out and says she faces AJ tonight in a BOLA qualifying match .... She starts roasting AJ for her ring gear, from the Chuck Taylor’s to the Jean shorts .... Jinny wouldn’t get caught dead wearing what AJ is wearing and calls her a street urchin .... AJ says it won’t matter what she’s wearing when she loses to AJ later tonight ....

3. ‘BATTLE OF LOS ANGELES’ Qualifying match:
Lacey Evans vs. Ember Moon

These two have history, as Lacey defeated Ember to win the Women’s Universal title during their time together in WresteKingdom/ Progress .... Things are different now, as Laceys real-life story has the fans on her side .... Back and forth action the whole way .... Lacey with the triple jump moonsault but Ember gets the knees up .... The Eclipse connects but Lacey rolls to the floor .... Ember expends a lot of energy getting her back into the ring, and Lacey kicks out .... Lacey goes for the Woman’s Right but Ember dodges and counters into a backslide, but Lacey rolls back and then gets a small package on Ember for the 3 count!  Lacey advances and both ladies shake hands after the match ....

PROMO:

We get pre-recorded comments from Asuka .... They talk about how Asuka has had trouble with Britt Baker and her former friend Io Shirai recently .... Asuka has been doing  all this with 10 stitches in her head from the chair that Tessa Blanchard threw in her face at RISE #2 .... Asuka says she told everyone she would be a fighting champion and she is .... She welcomes any challenge .... but Tessa has made her ANGRY .... and Tessa is not ready for Asuka!

4. ‘BATTLE OF LOS ANGELES’ Qualifying match:
AJ Lee vs. Jinny

Jinny acts like she’s appalled to even be in the ring with AJ, and AJ aggressively attacks with forearms .... Jinny with a high knee puts AJ down and Jinny works a Boston Crab .... AJ battles back with a Dropkick .... Jinny avoids a charge and hits a flatliner into the buckles, then she hangs AJ up for the rope hung X-Factor but AJ kicks her away .... Jinny reverses a huricanrana attempt into a running Liger Bomb for a close 2!  Jinny goes for the ‘Touch of Couture’ finish but AJ ducks the kick and hits a shining wizard out of nowhere!  1 ... 2 ... foot on the ropes!  Jinny goes into her bag and she’s got something .... AJ tries to stop her, and the ref gets out of position leading to Jinny spraying something in AJ’s eyes!  With AJ blinded, Jinny hits the Touch of Couture (ripcord capoeira kick) and gets the 3 count ....

We get a video hyping Piper Niven & Kay Lee Ray signing with RISE .... It shows shots of them in the crowd at RISE #2 .... They will make their RISE debuts next week ....

5. ‘BATTLE OF LOS ANGELES’ Qualifying match (Street Fight):
Deonna Purazzo vs. Toni Storm

Purazzo lost to Toni in their first match, but injured Toni’s arm ... Purazzo would ask for a rematch even though Toni was not cleared yet, then attack Toni and injure her arm even more .... Toni made the challenge for the street fight ....

Purazzo comes out and insists that a street fight is barbaric and insulting to someone of her technical ability .... Toni comes out with a chair to a big reaction and she chases Deonna around the ring but Purazzo gets a cheap shot in .... she gets her hands on the chair and instead of using it she throws it outside the ring so Toni can’t use it .... This gets boos from the crowd because Purazzo won’t use weapons and keeps preventing weapons from being brought in the ring .... Deonna works the arm of Toni, which is still injured, but Toni fights back and finally gets her hands on a chair and wears Deonna out with it!  Now we get into the street fight aspect as Toni sets up a table and gets a kendo stick, but Purazzo stops all that with a pump kick to Toni’s face!  Purazzo works Toni over with the kendo stick, but Toni comes back and smashes Deonna with a trash can lid .... Toni sets up a chair and then hits a leg trap German suplex onto the unfolded chair!  Holy Shit!!!!  This only gets a 2 count!  Toni up top but Purazzo somehow recovers and hits Toni with the kendo stick causing her to fall and crash through the table set up at ringside!  Purazzo pulls Toni in the ring and tries to lock on the Fujiwara armbar but Toni pulls loose and a BIG lariat turns Purazzo inside out!  Toni stacks up some chairs in the ring .... STORM ZERO ON THE CHAIRS!  1 ... 2 ... 3!  Toni Storm qualifies!

POST MATCH: Both ladies are tended to after the war they just went through ....

AT THE PODIUM:

CHARLY is with RISE General Manager Eric Bischoff again and they both comment on the hellacious match we just saw .... Bischoff changes focus and he has a ‘blockbuster’ announcement for the Battle of Los Angeles .... Asuka will defend her IWA world title at ‘Battle of Los Angeles’, and he has signed a high profile opponent for her to face .... RONDA ROUSEY .... Bischoff seems so happy with himself like he’s really done something good but the fans shit all over it and boo the hell out of him .... Bischoff seems surprised ....

RISE #3 - ‘March to BOLA’ Theman3-750x450

This brings out Becky Lynch!  Bischoff offers the mic to her, but Becky snatches it out of his hand ....

BECKY - ‘Ronda Rousey?  Seriously?  That’s not why I came out here, but this is your ‘high profile’ opponent? .... The woman that ran to wrestling because she couldn’t cut it in the UFC? .... and that reaction surprised you?

Tessa, I heard you out here earlier talking about Asuka but I’m here to tell you that Asuka isn’t the one you need to worry about .... Tessa been riding her daddy’s coattails her entire career, and now you’ve duped Sasha & Bayley into forming some cheap 4 Horseman knockoff .... Well, I don’t play ‘follow the leader’, I walk alone .... The 3 of you made the worse mistake you could make last when you decided to jump me .... So starting tonight, I will take you out one by one, starting with you Sasha, until I get Tessa ....

Sasha’s music hits and interrupts Becky .... Sasha comes out for their main event match ....

6. IWS All-Star Women’s Championship:
(Champion) Sasha Banks w/ Bayley vs. Becky Lynch

Sasha talks shit to Becky, leading to Becky attacking with forearms .... Banks battles back, knocking Becky outside but Becky catches the baseball slide attempt and pulls Banks hard to the floor .... lots of brawling on the floor around the ring and the ref lets it go ....  Becky tosses Banks back in and goes to the top, but Banks pulls her legs out from under her causing Becky to land hard .... Sasha takes over and puts the boots to Becky, then grounds things .... Becky battles back but Banks traps her in the ropes and hits the double knee smash for a 2 count .... Banks to the 2nd rope but Becky dropkicks her on the way down .... both ladies are on the mat but they both rise and trade strikes .... Lynch fires up with clotheslines and then the BECKS-PLODER .... Becky in control with the 2nd rope leg drop and gets a 2 count .... Becky goes for a top rope super-plex but Sasha fights her off and follows with the flying meteora for 2!  Sasha goes for the Banks Statement but they work into counters and Becky gets the Disarm-Her!  Sasha reaches for the ropes but can’t make it, and we are about to have a new champion but Bayley hits the ring and attacks Becky, resulting in the DQ ....

POST MATCH: Bayley and Banks put the boots to Becky .... Banks locks on the Banks Statement!  Lacey Evans and Kairi Sane run out to make the save and chase off the heels .... Lacey tries to help Becky up, but Becky decks her with a right hand!  Becky faces off with Sane, then backs away and goes to the back alone as the show closes ....

RISE #3 - ‘March to BOLA’ Empty
PostSubject: Re: RISE #3 - ‘March to BOLA’   RISE #3 - ‘March to BOLA’ EmptyWed Aug 26, 2020 3:40 pm

Good promo from Tessa and crew to open up

Whoa.... didnt expect Sane to win

I'm digging Val-ifornia

Yes! Lacey wins!

Dont know much about Jinny....but that's a decent win for her

Toni Storm has been quiet in the fed. She needs to do something before shes just another face

If I was Lacey....the next time Lynch us getting her ass kicked....she should just let it be after the show of no respect from Becky

Good stuff. Looking forward to seeing who else gets in and how this plays out
