World Class Wrestling #9

The show opens up with the closing moments of the tag team gauntlet match at POC to determine the World Class tag team champions.......


Williams tags Dibiase. Irish whip to the buckle, back elbow and scoop slams to the Horsemen. Anderson eats a dropkick, scoop slam to Tully. Middle rope elbow drop, suplex from Dibiase. All 4 men are brawling again in the ring, Dibiase clotheslines Tully. Williams sends Anderson to the floor. Inverted atomic drop from Dibiase. Anderson runs into the ring-post. William's nails his slingshot shoulder block. Doc slams Dibiase onto Tully. Doc is with the referee and Heenan,. Anderson grabs the tag title belt and comes off with a middle rope axe handle on Dibiase. Arn throws the belt out and covers Dibiase, 1......2......3! ARN ANDERSON & TULLY BLANCHARD ARE YOUR WORLD CLASS TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! 




Then we pan to live action and see the cameras panning the fans packed in the live venue when we hear........




Its "Stone Cold" Steve Austin!





Steve Austin: "Alot of buzz and talking going on coming out of the World Class Parade of Champions show!"

Audience: "WHAT???"

Steve Austin: "I said theres Alot of buzz and talking going on coming out of the World Class Parade of Champions show!"

Audience: "WHAT???"

Steve Austin: "Ya got a new World Class Cruiser champion in the Bastard PAC!"

Audience: "WHAT?"

Steve Austin: "Brian Cage win the World Class TV title tournament and got to show his muscles with the World Champ Hulk Hogan!"

Audience: "WHAT??"

Steve Austin: "And as bad as I hate to say it..... The Horsemen won the World Class tag team titles!

Audience: "WHAT?"

Steve Austin: "But the one thing that didnt happen at POC......ole Stone Cold didnt get his hand raised in victory! Hell..... I didnt even get to drink a beer!

Audience: "WHAT??"

Steve Austin: "I said I didnt get to drink a beer...... a cold one! A brewski! A concoction! Some suds! Dont get me wrong..... I was whupping Ric Flair's jet riding ass all over Texas until his little Horsemen buddies had to stick their noses in! So I tell ya how this is gonna go down...... Ric Flair...... you can either bring your sorry ass out here! Or I'm gonna come looking for ya! And it will be a Stunner for Arn!"

Audience: "WHAT??"

Steve Austin: "A Stunner for Tully!"

Audience: "WHAT??"

Steve Austin: "A Stunner for Randy!"

Audience: "WHAT??"

Steve Austin: "And I damned sure gotta Stunner with your name on it Ric! So since you wont come to me..... its hunting season on your sorry ass! AND THATS THE BOTTOM LINE....... CAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO!"


Jim Ross: "Fans..... The Texas Rattlesnake is here! And hes announced its hunting season on The Horsemen tonight! Ya gotta believe that somewhere right now, Ric Flair is shaking in his Gucci's!"




***COMMERCIAL BREAK***



We come back from break and see the new World Class Cruiser champion, PAC, making his way to the ring. He enters and takes the housemic......





PAC: "At Parade of Champions I stepped into the ring with five other men in a ladder match. Five of the very best wrestlers in the world. But in the end.... it was me who walked away the World Class Cruiser champion!

And now, the IWA will be holding a tournament to crown the first ever IWA Cruiser champion! So naturally they include me in the tournament right?

WRONG! Unlike the other 10 or 12 guys in that tournament.... nobody tells PAC what to do! So I pulled myself out of that tournament. And I know what your thinking...... am I crazy? It's quite simple..... as far as I'm concerned..... when I climbed up that ladder at POC and took this World Class cruiser title...... I won the only title that matters! Simply put..... there isnt a man in that tournament or in this building that can beat me for this strap! And I mean...... nobody!"


The lights go dim and then we see......










Jim Ross: "ITS DARBY ALLIN! DARBY IS HERE! He was actually supposed to be part of that ladder match at Parade of Champions, but due to travel complications he couldnt make it. But bygawd.... the kids here now!"


Match One: Darby Allin vs PAC for the World Class Cruiser title

Darby skateboards down the entrance ramp and jumped out on offense early with a big dropkick. Pac recovered quickly and landed a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. He then picked Darby up and tossed him across the ring. Allin avoided a splash in the corner and hit Pac with a shotgun dropkick. He then sent Pac to the floor and hit a splash through the second rope. Pac escaped back into the ring, and then slid out the other side. Allin followed and hit another shoulder block through the ropes. Pac scrambled away, but Darby followed and attempted a head scissors from the apron. Pac caught him and slammed him into the ringsteps.

Pac powerbombed Allin onto the steps. He then slowed things down and applied a chinlock. Pac threw Allin into the barricade on the floor, and hit a missile dropkick off the top rope that sent Darby flying across the ring. Darby had swelling and bleeding on his head and arm. Pac picked up Darby and climbed to the top rope, but Darby reversed into a crucifix bomb from the top, though he was unable to make a pin attempt. Pac rolled outside, but Darby hit a coffin drop from the top rope out to the floor!!

The ref count began, but Pac made his way back into the ring. Allin hit a Cody Red for a near fall. Pac escaped to the floor again. Allin attempted a baseball slide, but Pac captured him in the apron and kicked him in the face. Pac then hit a huge lariat for a close near fall. Darby and Pac then had a pinfall exchange with reversals that nearly saw a couple of pins.  Darby went for a springboard coffin drop, but Pac caught him into a German Suplex. Pac then hit a Liger Bomb, 1.....2......NO! He then pulled Allin to the top rope, and knocked him down with headbutts. He then hit Black Arrow and got the win to retain his title!




***COMMERCIAL BREAK***




Gene Okerlund: "Welcome back fans. I was supposed to be joined at this time by the new World Class tag team champions, Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard. But we are missing one man in Tully Blanchard. Brain..... what gives?"





Bobby Heenan: "Dont you worry about us Okerlund..... Tully is probably still celebrating our championship win with some champagne and a lovely lady! Something you, or all those ham and eggets at home......."


Randy Orton: "ARN..... BOBBY.....COME QUICK...... TULLY'S HURT!"






The cameras follow the Horsemen and we see Tully laying in a hallway. Hes bloodied and battered as Arn and Heenan ask him what happened? Arn jumps up and says "Its Austin!" Then takes leave looking for the Texas Rattlesnake!



Match Two: Paige vs Sarah Logan


They quickly struggle for control and Logan grounds Paige. Paige with a headbutt to get some space. They struggle to try backslides, but Logan gets to the ropes then transitions into the in the ropes. Kick to Logan’s stomach sends her to the floor.

Paige is controlling Logan with a headlock on the mat. Logan is trying to figure out what to do to escape. Paige with a fisherman’s suplex into a cover for two. Paige throws Logan into the corner by the hair, then kicks the stuffing out of her. A pair of covers for two. Paige tries slipping through the ropes to avoid a charge, but Logan catches her to turn it around. Logan telegraphs a back body drop, so Paige hits a sunset flip. Logan sits on it, but Paige rolls her up for two. Logan gets up first and gets aggressive.

Paige struggles to get out of a headlock, but Logan drags her to the mat and continues to grind the hold. Paige can’t get traction and Logan gets increasingly frustrated. Logan with a waistlock to put Paige down. Paige with wild elbows in the corner to escape, then a charge. Logan gets a boot up, but Paige catches it and transitions into a dragon screw leg whip and transitions into a modified Cloverleaf with Logan facing away from the ropes. Logan is screaming in pain as Paige torques, but Logan twists out, kicks Paige into the ropes, then catches Paige on the rebound with a cover for a nearfall.

Logan with a double leg takedown, and she wants the ddt, but Paige rolls under the ropes, then manages to headbutt Logan while lying down on the apron. Rapid knee lifts to Logan dangling through the ropes. Paige goes to the top, but Logan slaps her, then meets her there. Logan with a superplex, but is too hurt to follow up. Logan crawls into a cover, 1.....2..... but Paige gets a foot on the rope just as the ref hits three on the count. Paige drags herself up, then delivers kicks to the midsection, followed by the Paige Turner for the win! As the replay is being shown, Paige joins Renee Young at the interview area......




Renee Young: "Impressive victory for Paige here tonight. But Paige, unfortunately it wasnt to be at Parade of Champions however. A match that you thought you had won. Let's show the fans the closing moments of that incident now."



Cruise with a big forearm, but Paige hits her with a springboard tornado DDT! But Paiges legs hit the referee, sending him out of the ring. Paige grabs Cruise.....and puts her in the PTO!! THERES NO REF!! PAIGE HAS IT LOCKED IN.... CRUISE IS TAPPING! THERES NO REF! 

Paige releases the hold and bends over the 2nd rope trying to get the ref. Cruise rises up. Paige turns around and Cruise nails her with a big boot to the face! Cruise exits the ring. She grabs a chair and enters the ring. Shes sizing Paige up. 


Renee Young: "OH MY GOD! IF CRUISE HITS PAIGE WITH THAT CHAIR....ITS ALL OVER FOR PAIGE! THIS CANT END THIS WAY!" 

Kylie Rae: "I cant do this! I cant let it end this way!" 


Kylie gets up from the announce table. Renee grabs Kylies arm to try and stop her. The crowd is going crazy. Kylie tells Renee that she has this.....and it's going to be ok! 

The ref gets to his knees by the apron, trying to regain his senses. Cruise has the chair stalking Paige. Paige begins to stumble and Cruise has her in her sites.

Kylie slides in the ring. Cruise turns and sees her! Cruise looks at Paige, then turns to Kylie..... Cruise swings the chair at Kylie.....Kylie ducks....then Kylie Superkicks Cruise in the face! The chair flies out of the ring. Cruise is out! Kylie revives Paige! Kylie exits the ring. Paige covers Cruise! A new ref storms in, 1......2....3!! PAIGE IS THE NEEEWWWWW WORLD CLASS WOMENS CHAMPION!! 

The crowd goes nuts as the ref gives Paige the title and the announcer introduces Paige as the new champion! Paige takes the title and raises her arms in victory......


Only for the official referee to grab her arm and pull it down.....shaking his head NO! The ref takes the title away from Paige as she looks on confused. The refs take it over then get with the announcer who says the referee has disqualified Paige for the outside interference of Kylie Rae! Therefore..... you winner.....and STILL THE WORLD CLASS WOMENS CHAMPION...... MELANIE CRUISE!!!



Renee Young: "Paige.... certainly not the outcome you would of hoped for, losing the match over the tenacity of Kylie Rae!"




Paige: "Well obviously it would have been nice to walk out as champion, and I know alot of people think it was Kylies fault for me bring disqualified, but its......"


This brings out "Smiley" Kylie Rae!




Kylie Rae: "Paige..... I can not apologize enough times! I hold myself fully responsible for what happened. Please.....please..... accept my apology! I just couldnt sit and watch what Melanie Cruise was going to do with that chair!"


Paige: "Kylie.... we have covered this! Your a good kid. You have a big heart. I know you want Melanie Cruise just as much as I do. We are good! You just need to worry about the ramifications that Stephanie McMahon has for you by breaking your agreement."

Kylie Rae: "I know.... I know! It keeps me up at night! I just want to wrestle for all these awesome people and get my title back!"



This brings out the World Class Womens champ..... Melanie Cruise!




Melanie Cruise: "Can you two please just get over yourselves? It makes me sick listening to you both! We have the Super nerd, Kylie Rae..... and the mega Goth..... Paige! Two totally different people who share one thing in common...... they both have lost to me! I'm the World Class womens champion! And as far as I'm concerned..... I'm done with both of you! Paige you can go back to where ever you came from. But Kylie Rae..... you keep sticking your nose in my business...... I'm gonna knock that stupid smile off your face for good!"

Kylie Rae: "Melanie Cruise..... you wanna knock off my smile? Many before you have tried. You think you know about me? Did you know I moved halfway across the country to be here...... to wrestle! To do what I love! Infront of all these people that I love! Only to have it all taken away by a company that shut down and left me as a champion with no home! Yea.... you beat me for that belt! But given the chance...... a rematch...... I know that I can beat you! See...... you dont know a thing about me! But.....I know about you! You sat in a place called SECW and held a title that you only defended ...... WHAT.....Maybe once every two months? Some champion that is! I dont want to see that here! And I know something that you dont even know about yourself...... you will never beat me...... again!"


Cruise stares a hole through Kylie..... then starts walking towards the interview area!





 Stephanie McMahon: "HOLD IT!! Melanie Cruise..... you stay right there! I'm glad your all out here! I've been doing a lot of thinking since Girls Night Out! Starting with you Paige! Yes..... you have a non title victory over Melanie Cruise! That definitely makes you the top contender for the Womens title.

And Melanie..... you have been a destructive champion! Winning every match you have been in, outside of that non title loss to Paige!

But Kylie Rae...... you and I had a deal! You put your AAW Womens title on the line for a chance to be in the tournament. And you held that part of the deal up. But it was clearly said..... if you didnt win the tournament there was no room for you here as an active wrestler. And you lost your title to Melanie Cruise. And became an announcer here. A spot that was offered to you only if you agreed to not get physical with any member of the World Class roster. That part of the deal..... you broke!"  

 Audience: "LET HER WRESTLE! LET HER WRESTLE!"        

Stephanie McMahon: "Make no mistake....the people love you Kylie! But a deal is a deal! And quite honestly I should fire you right now! But I wont! What I am going to do is this.....I have a contract on my desk for a future title shot on it with Melanie Cruises name on it. I had every intention of giving that title shot to Paige!

But I sit and listen to the bond that you have Paige and Kylie. It is quite unique! So heres how it will go down. Paige you can walk back to my office right now and sign the contract and face Melanie Cruise in the future for the World Class Womens title and I fire Kylie Rae right here on the spot!

Or ........ let's see if that friendship bond is as strong as you make it out to be! You can prove it Paige.... by giving up said title shot..... and give the contract to Kylie Rae to sign.... and I will fully reinstate her right now! The decision is yours to make!"


Paige cant believe her ears as she looks on in shock at Stephanie! Then Paige looks to Kylie..... who is giggity.... bouncing in anticipation to Paiges response.


Stephanie McMahon: "OH..... I forgot one last thing. If you do give Kylie the contract.... you never get a title shot at Melanie Cruise again!"


Now Kylies excitement completely disappears as she looks at Paige..... seeing the agony of what Paige is going through. Kylie looks at Paige..... and shakes her head No....telling Paige not to do it. Kylie looks to Cruise who is smirking at the entire situation..... the back to Paige.... giving her a smile of disappointment.....then Kylie walks away! Paige watches on......


Paige: "Wait!! Stephanie....... give the match to Kylie!"

Kylie stops walking, looking down at the ground. She looks up and turns to Paige in complete shock! Paige nods her head in approval..... then walks to the dressing room area!

Stephanie McMahon: "Wow! Theres something you dont see every day! I guess the friendship really is strong! Kylie Rae..... congratulations! You are reinstated! Now the only question is..... Melanie Cruise....do you accept the challenge of Kylie Rae for your World Class Womens title?"

Cruise looks out to Kylie Rae..... then down at her womens title.

Melanie Cruise: "NO!"


Cruise then leaves and walks away leaving Kylie watching on!


Jim Ross: "What the Hell just happened here? Paige just took herself out of the Womens title picture so her friend, Kylie Rae, can have her job back! But now the champion, Melanie Cruise wont wrestle her? Fans we are gonna need some answers her in the upcoming weeks!"

Match Three: Chuck Taylor vs Cameron Grimes


The two men lock up with Taylor working the arm of Grimes, but he fights out and takes Taylor to the mat with a waistlock. Both men get to their feet and Taylor locks into a chinlock, but Grimes quickly gets to the ropes. Taylor takes Grimes down to the mat and locks in a submission hold, working on Grimes’s knees. Grimes tried to get the ropes and finally does forcing Taylor to break the hold. Both men are back to their feet and circle one another. Taylor hits a series of moves, eventually locking in the sleeper. Grimes tries to fight out but Taylor keeps the pressure locked in. Grimes makes his way to his feet and as Taylor is coming off the ropes, Grimes hits a knee to the midsection. He follows that up with an armbar, while he is driving his fist into the temple of Taylor. Taylor fights his way out and hits a hurricanrana and follows that up with a dropkick and a clothesline that sends Grimes to the floor. He comes out on the apron and hits Grimes with a kick to the head and then a rolling senton to the floor. He sends Grimes into the guardrail and hits a series of chops to the chest. He rolls Grimes back in the ring and attempts a Slingshot DDT as he comes back in but Grimes catches him and tosses him aside.

Both men are going back and forth with Grimes tossing Taylor hard into the corner. He follows that up with a bridging German Suplex for a near fall. Taylor slowly makes his way to the apron and goes for a slingshot spear, but Grimes catches him and tosses him down with a Gutwrench slam. He doesn’t have the advantage for long as Taylor hits a boot followed by a flatliner. Taylor takes the advantage and hits a suplex, and then hits a kick to the head. Taylor hits a huge clothesline. Grimes goes to the outside but comes back in and is met with a slingshot spear for a two count. Both men exchange maneuvers with Taylor coming out on top and rolling up Grimes for a two count. Taylor comes off the ropes but Grimes catches him and slams him down for a near fall. Grimes tosses Taylor into the ropes but Taylor comes back with a hard elbow. Grimes comes back with an elbow of his own but misses a kick as both men criss-cross in the ring with Grimes hitting the Collision Course for a two count. Both men trade a pair of superkicks and Taylor reverses another slam by Grimes into a DDT. Taylor sets up for a superkick but Grimes snuffs it out and hits one of his own. Grimes throws Taylor into the ropes and hits Cave-In (Leaping double foot stomp) for the victory. As Grimes celebrates, the cameras again pan backstage where we see Horsemen members Randy Orton and Arn Anderson beat up laying on the floor.

Gene Okerlund: "OHHHH MY! What a night we have had here tonight. Fans, we are trying to get word on the condition of the Horsemen as we speak, but something tells me they have been snake bit if you catch my drift!

Alright joining me now are The Freebirds..... Michael Hayes and Terry Gordy..... minus their brother on arms, Buddy Roberts, who was pinned at POC and therefore had to leave World Class for 6 months!"




Michael Hayes: "ITS THE BIGGEST TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE TO EVER TAKE PLACE IN THE HISTORY OF PRO WRESTLING! GO BACK AND LOOK AT THE FOOTAGE...... TERRY HAD DAVID PINNED! THE REF COUNTED DAVID VON ERICH OUT! HIW THE HELL CAN YOU COUNT TWO SETS OF PINS AT THE SAME TIME? THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN DAVID CROCKETT AND WORLD CLASS TRYING TO KEEP THE FREEBIRDS DOWN! WELL WE AINT HAVING IT JACK!"


In walks...... Cameron Grimes????





Cameron Grimes: "Michael.....Michael..... Michael....... easy baby! Pull that bottle if Jack out and pour us a shot and let Cameron talk to ya for a minute!"


Grimes and The Birds go into the dressing room and shut the door as we head back to the ring......



Main Event: Brian Cage vs Owen Hart for the World Class TV title

Owen surprises Cage with a baseball slide as Cage makes his way to the ring. Owen follows up by tossing him into the ring steps and then backs Cage into the ringpost before grabbing the tv title and telling the camera that it’s HIS belt. As Owen rolls Cage inside, the match officially begins. Owen delivers a flying bodypress for 1...2.....NO! Cage fires back, but gets kicked in the nads. Cage fights out of a chinlock, but Owen buries a knee as he comes off the ropes and tries the SHARPSHOOTER. When that fails, Owen reverts back to a chinlock. Cage elbows out and counters into a rollup for two. Cage scores a backslide for a nearfall, but telegraphs a backdrop and gets drilled with a piledriver. Owen pins Cage with a flying elbow but Cage gets his foot on the bottom rope to continue the match. Owen works the knee with a dragon screw leg whip. Back to the chinlock. Owen flies down into a possible SHARPSHOOTER, but manages to slip out and deliver the ENZIGURI! Owen wants a superplex and when Cage pushes him off, he back flips onto his feet and forearm smashes Cage down to the floor! Owen tries to wipe him out with a pescado, but Cage catches him in mid-air and drops him on the guardrail. Back inside, Cage starts throwing him around for a bunch of nearfalls. The match spills out to the rampway where Cage delivers a suplex! Back in, the ref gets bumped and Owen grabs a chair. In mid-swing, Cage kicks Owen and the chair falls out of his hands. With Owen staggered, Cage clotheslines him down onto the chair. Cage grabs the chair and sizes Owen up......from the back comes Davey Boy Smith! Davey attacks Cage! The ref calls for the bell. Owen joins Davey and they put the boots to Cage.



Until...... the IWA World champion, Hulk Hogan, storms the ring! Hogan ducks a clothesline from Davey and hits him with a big bout to the face and Daveys out of the ring. Then Hogan hits Owen with a clothesline knocking him to the floor! Hogan kneels over a fallen Cage checking on his condition. Cage gets up to his feet and Hogan and have words with Owen and Bulldog outside the ring.







***COMMERCIAL BREAK***




We come back from break and see a pissed off Ric Flair storming to the ring. Flair enters the ring and tears his jacket off and grabs the housemic......





Ric Flair: "AUSTIN.....YOU SONOFABITCH! I KNOW IT WAS YOU! YOU WANT TO JUMP THE HORSEMEN? WHERE ARE YOU NOW? IM HERE AUSTIN! COME ON OUT AND I WILL KICK YOUR ASS!"



It doesnt take long until we hear "GLASS BREAK" and out comes The Texas Rattlesnake! The fans erupt as Austin marches to the ring! Austin gets in and Flair quickly attacks Austin. Flair puts Austin in the corner and chops the Hell out of Austin. Flair WOOOOOS and struts on the ring. Austin hits a Thesz Press and rains down punches on Flair! Austin gets up "OH HELL YEA!! Austin puts Flair in the corner and stomps a mud hole.

Out comes the other Horsemen..... Arn, Tully, and Orton! They jump in the ring and beat the hell out of Austin! Austin is out numbered as the Horsemen beat on him until Brian Pillman, Ted DiBiase and Steve William's storm the ring! And the fight is on! The faces quickly take over and gain control and the Horsemen decide to fight another day and bail out of the ring as the show fades to black

I hate the 'WHAT?' thing that is part of Austins character now, but it is impossible not to use it lol

Austin vs the Horsemen is money

I really liked that promo from PAC and his reasoning for being pulled from the X Division tourney

Oh shit Austin is taking people out!

Ok, this angle with Paige and Kylie Rae is quickly becoming one of my favorite angles you have going

AWESOME promo by Stephanie. This was my favorite segment on the whole show. You nailed all aspects perfectly ... very intriguing
