|  (Mark McGrath, lead singer for the band Sugar Ray & Hartford, CT resident, sings America The Beautiful to open the show. After the performance ends Santino Marella storms out to the ring and grab a nicrophone.)
Santino: New Jack I'm not waiting until later. Get out here..NOW!
Match 1: Santino Marella vs New Jack - Street Fight
(NJ comes out with a look like he can't believe what he's hearing. He turns and walks back behind the curtain. He emerges with a trash can full of various items which can be used as weapons. He gets to the ring and tosses it inside. He slides in and the brawl is on! NJ and Santino just are trading punches.New Jack hits a knee, then picks up a crutch he swings it at Santino who does a leg split to avid it. Then hits a hip lock sending New Jack crashing onto the Garbage Can crushing it. The crowd is loving the violence. Santino has a roasting pan and cracks it over New Jack's head busting him open. He then grabs a plunger and positions it over the mouth & nose of NJ, then applies pressure. Santino picks up the Garbage can lid and heads back to NJ. But Jack hits him low. The fans boo as Jack pulls out his fork and jabs it right into the head of Marella! He immediately has some blood showing but NJ now is grinding the fork into his forehead and the crimson is flowing. Some women in the audience scream in horror. New Jack yells at one saying "Shut up, Bi*ch!".
New Jack continues to work the cut he DDTs Santintino onto the crushed Garbage can. He covers 1.. 2..
NO!!! Santino kicks out! NJ smiles and starts to bite the open wound. The spits the blood at the crowd who are incensed. Jack slams Santino i the center of the ring. places the Garbage lid over the face of Santino and climbs up looking for the Drive-By Elbow. As he jumps Marella moves! Jack hits hard, as he gets up Santino blasts him with the lid. He does it again and again. Both men are covered in blood. Santino goes out and grabs a chair. He comes into the ring with it as he gets ready to swing it NJ jabs Santino in the gut with the crutch. Then breaks it over his back. He's down and New Jack covers 1..2..
NOOOOO!!!!! Santino kicks out again!NJ is almost in shock. He picks up the chair. Santino stands but he is wobbly. He tells New Jack to "come on" NJ pauses and lowers the chair. Then lifts it back up and wallops him. New Jack climbs up...Drive-By with a chair!! Referee Charles Robinson makes the 3 count.)
Winner: New Jack
(New Jack stands over his beaten foe making the cross symbol then leaves the ring. As Santino slowly rises and realizes he has lost the fans rise to their feet and give Satino a standing ovation.)
Match 2: Naomi w/Teddy Long & Cameron vs Mercedes Martinez- HLW Ladies Championship
(This is all Mercedes early on a she is primed to regain her title. She gets a near fall with a Northern Suplex. Naomi hts a enzuguiri to take the upperhand. for a short while. At one point Mercedes rolls up Naomi but Cameron jumps up on the ropes. As that happens Naomi rolls thru and has Mercedes rolled up but the referee joey Marella is distracted with Cameron.
Naomi is visibly annoyed at this. She goes for the Booty Call but MM avoids contact. She goes for the Pescadora Buster but Naomi hooks the top rope. Martinez dropkcks her out the ring. They are both fighting on the outside. as the ref counts. Mercedes knocks Cameron's and Naomi's heads together and beats the count.)

Match 3: The Riot Squad vs The League (Killings, MVP & Sweet Brown Sugar)
Last shot at the UWF World 6-Man Tag Team Championship
(The riot Squad and The League have had many matches but this was by far their best. All 6 men left it ot there. SBS hit a Top Rope dropkick on Barend that looked like the finish but He kicked out. Later Collins hit a Piledriver on MVP but Killings was able to make the save.
21 minutes amd they're still going at it.All 6 men are in the ring killing goes for a Spinning Forearm on Collins who moves and Ron lays out MVP!!! SBS hits a Brainbuster on Johnny but Curtis Iaukea Hits him with a Spinebuster. SBS barely kicks out.MVP is in the corner holding his mouth s his lip is busted. SBS and Iakea have wound up on the floor battling. Baarend is still down. Collins charges Killings who hits a Hot Shott! Ripper is dazed as Killings gets ready to hit his finisher but MVP charges with is running kick but Collins stumbles out the way and MVP nails Killings with it. Barend Barend tackles MVP as Collins hits a Piledriver on Killings. 1.. 2.. 3!)

(After the match Teddy is helping Killings who is out of it. as he comes to he looks around a minute then sees MVP and is incensed. He tries to get at him but Teddy & Sweet Brown Sugar hold them back. You can hear killings yelling "We had em!".)
Match 4: Konnan vs Chris Candido
(These 2 men just don't like each other and it shows. Despite the fact both men CAN wrestle they choose to brawl as referee Justin King is letting the violence go. At one point Konnan has Candido in the Tequila Sunrise and out from the back come the Kings of Wrestling but here is LAX to stop them the 2 teams brawl back up the ramp and to the back. Chris manages to get a rope break from the submission.
Candido hits a clothesline to the back of Konnan's head. He sets him up on the top rope. He's going for the Blonde Bombshell but Konnan fights back and instead superplexes Chris to the mat. He covers for 2. The match continues Chris lands a few hard forearms . Then a hanging Suplex which gets some applause from the Uprising fans in the crowd. Candido smirks and goes for a falling Powerbomb. He nails it! 1.. 2..
NO! Konnan barely beats the count. A "This Is Hood" chant starts. Chris looks disdainfully at the crowd and yells "Not anymore". He turns and gets hit with a Rolling clothesline by Konnan. He covers 1.. 2..
NOOOOO!!!! Chris kicks out!!! Konnan lifts him up but Candido pokes him in both eyes and rolls him up. 1.. 2..
NOOO!! Konnan kicks out. Candido hits a low kick and goes for another Hanging suplex but Konnan floats over he hits a low kick. He hits the 187(Cradle DDT)!!! He covers 1.. 2.. 3!)

Match 5: Austin Aries vs Human Tornado- HLW Cruiserweight Championship
(HT as always comes to the ring dancing and high fiving fans. One of the most popular men ever in HLW. Then the champ, A Double enters. No nonsense, no dancing he is all business. he does stop at a fan though. We can see him getting ito an exchange with someone. No punches are thrown but security goes over and Aries continues into to the ring we can then see it is none other than UWF World Junior Heavyweight Champion, Eric Embry sitting front row.
Match begins and Aries takes HT down and starts to mat wrestle. This is not Tornado's game and he is at a disadvantage early. But later on Tornado counters a bodyslam with a Flying Headscissors. he hits a running dropkick sending Aries to the outside but HT follows with a slingshot plancha. Both men are down in front of Embry who is taunting the champ. Areies threatens to slap Embry. But HT spins Austin around and DDT's him on the floor. He pulls Aries up and rolls him in the ring. He covers 1.. 2......NO!
Aries foot is on the bottom rope. HT has a couple of words fr the official as Aries retreats to the corner. Tornado charges for a spear but Aries vaults out the way and HT crashes shoulder first into the post. Aries grabs him from behind for a Backdrop suplex. He covers for 2. Aries goes up for a 450 Splash. He misses! Austin is hurt. HT is up....African Destroyer!!! Both men are down. HT drapes his arm over Aries. 1.. 2..
No!!! The fans can'yt believe it. Everyone is on their feet now. He goes for Another Destroyer but Aries backdrops him off of him. Then kicks him square in the face. He pulls him up...Brianbuster!. Then he locks in the Last Chancery while staring at Embry. HT taps.)

(After the match Aries has his belt and points at Eric. Saying he is the REAL champion.)
Match 6: Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff vs Hiroshi Tanahashi- HLW Heavyweight Championship
(As Tanahashi enters he seems like his neck may be still injured from the attack during HLW TV. Including taking a Piedriver coutesy of the champ. Match begins and its a back and forth affair. Some nice chain wrestling by Tanahashi. Paul resorts to to some roughousing. Tanahashi goes for a leg lariot but Paul catches him and slams him down. Then as Hiro rises he is hit with a killer clothesline.
Tanahashi is down and holding his neck. Now Orndorff goes to work, targeting the injured neck of Tanahashi. Things look bleak and after a Side Neckbreaker it looks like its over. He covers but Hiroshi kicks out at 2. Paul continues the onslaught but Tana refuses to stay down for the count. Orndorff goes for a suplex but its blocked by Tana who hits one of his own. Then a Flying Necktie.Paul swings and misses and Hiro hits an Atomic Drop.Spinebuster by Hiro and he climbs the ropes for his Finisher. He hits it! 1.. 2..
No! Paul kicks out! Once again The Kings of Wrestling run out they get to the ring and start trying to encourage Orndorff. Tanahashi locks in a Sharpshooter. Orndorff is in serious trouble Claudio acts like he is about to enter the ring and Tana releases the hold in anticipation. Claudio however backs away. Hiro hits a Side Slam then once again goes up looking to hit another Frog Splash. Chris Hero now gets on the apron As referee Marella tells him to get down Claudio pushes Tana off the ropes. He comes down neck first across the top rope. He is hurt holding his neck as Orndorff grabs him...Piledriver!. he covers 1.. 2.. 3!)

Match 7: Los Banditos vs The Skyscrapers w/Bill Alphonso- UWF World Tag Team Championship
(The Scrapers come out being led by Alphonos and hit the ring hard. They slide under the ropes and attack the Guerreos before they can even get their ring gear off. Chavo gets pressed slam by Dan over the top rope, while Sid powerbombs Hector. Sid covers and the ref waves it. The ref never got a chance to call for the bell. Sid and Dan and Phonise who is still in the ring are all yelling at the ref . Chavo grabs the Bandelero Belt on the outside and nails Spivey in the back of the head. Spivey is out cold. Sid turns and chokeslams Chavo. He covers and the ref still hasn't started the match and three guys are down. Phonise refuses to leave the ring. The ref lays in a count and Phonsie finally takes his leave. Finally we get a bell. Sid now is trying to wake up Dan, but Dan is out cold from the blow with the heavy belt. Chavo and Hector are both up and they attack Sid like a pack of wild dogs on a turkey that wandered by.
EMT's finally come and pull Spivey to safety. Leaving Sid by himself. And Banditos are making him pay. Hector comes off with a double leg drop from the top and then tags in Chavo who comes in and hits a Swanton. Chavo covers and gets 1.......2......Sid powers out. Yes, not just kicks out, but powers out. Sid gets up to his feet and hits a big boot on Hector and then scores with another chokeslam. He covers and gets 1.......2.......Hector kicks him in the head to make the save. Chavo now unloads with a right hand while the big man is still on his knees and then a DDT from the same postion. It looks weird but it's effective. Chavo tags off to Hector. Hector comes in and hits a low dropkick right to Sid's face as he just gets to his knees again. Hector covers and gets 1......2......Sid kicks out. The crowd goes nuts as Spivey, who is being attended to at ring side rises up. He crawls up on the ring apron and cheers his partner on. The crowd joins him yelling " This is Hood. " Despite whatever Park may think. Sid plays off that emotion and nails Hector coming in with a clothesline. He falls back into his corner, really worn out and makes the tag to Spivey.
Spivey comes in and lays Hector out with another big boot and then pulls him up and presses him above his head. Chavo is trying to be cute by getting on the top rope, well that's all and good except his own brother is now being catapulted right toward him. Both men fly and hit the outside floor. Both men are down and the ref begins his count. No way are the Scrapers going to let this end in a count out. They go out after them . Sid smashes Hector's head into the ring post, busting him open. While Dan grabs Chavo's own Bandelero belt and rakes the bullets across his forehead. Both Banditos are bleeding badly. They roll them back in the ring and now Hector is getting pummled by Spivey.
Spivey hits a huge flying Lariot that nearly takes Hector's head off. He makes a cocky cover and gets 1......2.......Chavo comes in to break it up. This draws Sid back in the ring and the Guerreos now double team Spivey behind the ref's back. Phonsie hops up on the ring apron trying to get the ref's attention. The ref goes after Phonise now and Sid jumps in with a chair. Hector and Chavo double dropkick the chair into his face and then from there hit a double DDT on the chair to Spivey. Sid is down, his nose is bleeding bad. Spivey layed out cold for the second time in the match this time with a DDT on a chair and he's busted open. Chavo goes over and pushes Phonsie off the ring apron and then Hector makes the cover and gets 1.....2......3.)

Main Event: Kurt Angle vs Yuji Nagata- I Quit Match
(Despite their mutual hatred for each other the match starts off cleanly. Each man exchanging hold for hold for a while. Neither has a dominant advantage but this style has to favor Kurt.He does aq nice go behind into a hammerlock into a fireman's carry. Yuji retaliates with a stiff kick to his chest which echoed throughout the arena. He hits another as the crowd "oohs". With that, the Wrestling part of this match ends. The fight begins. yuji hits hard chops to Kurts chest. Angle answers with right hands to Nagata's head. Kurt sends Yuji into the ropes and hits a knee sending Yuji flipping over to the mat. Angle stomps away at him. Then locks on the Ankle Lock but yuji gets to the ropes and uses them pull away from him. Now they are on the outside. Yuji slams Kurt face first into the railing. We see blood coming from his nose. Yuji goes to Irish Whip Kurt across to the far railing but Angle reverses it and sends Yuji into the steel steps knee first. Kurt is trying to wipe away the blood from his face. He grabs Yuji and dumps him over the railing into the crowd,. He grabs a fans chair and starts choking Yuji with it. The ref is asking Nagata if he quits.
Nagata: NO!!!!
Match continues as they brawl thru the crowd a bit, then back onto the stage where you enter. Yuji gets some cables and is choking Angle with them but the bloody Kurt won't Quit. Yuji applies the Nagata Lock I. The ref asks Kurt if he will Quit.
Angle: NEVER!
Eventually the action comes back to the ring. Inside Yuji Goes for a Superplex but Kurt knocks him back to the mat. Angle digs into his tights when yuji climbs back up Kurt blasts him with a pair of Brass knucks. Yuji falls completely out to the mat. Kurt rises his arms in victory. Charles Robinson informs Kurt that Yuji has never quit so the match must continue. Angle seems dumbfounded by this he starts to slap the now busted open Yuji trying to wake him. As Nagata starts to stir Kurt locks in the Ankle lock. He is REALLy pulling on it. Yuji is asked but won't quit. He is in agony as Angle will not let up. Charles Robinson is almost pleading with Yuji to Quit but he refuses. Angle tells Yuji "Quit...or I swear I'll break it!" Nagata answers.
Nagata: I won't Quit!!
Angle's demeanor changes....he takes a deep breath.. Then yanks as hard as he can....and breaks Yuji's ankle!!!!
Nagata is screaming in pain. The crowd is horrified. Mothers are covering their children's eyes. Kurt Angle just did the unthinkable. Robinson looks like he's going to be sick. Yuji is rolling all over the mat. Kurt grabs the mic from Charles and goes over to a fallen Yuji.
Angle: I told you. I'm the scary one. I beat you. Now say it.
Yuji with blood and tears rolling down his face nods his head.
Nagata: Angle you are the better wrestler....but I don't....quit!
With that Yuji hits a low blow on Kurt. Angle falls and Nagata reaches into Angles tights amd grabs the Brass Knucks. He puts them on. Positions himself between the legs of the downed Angle. He punches Kurt square in the package with the Knucks. Angle is howling in pain. Some men in the crowd can't stand to watch. Yuji has the mic.
Nagata: Quit...or I make you a woman.
Yuji rises his fist again.
Angle: No more, no more....I Quit!!)
Winner: Yuji Nagata
(After the match both men had to leave on stretchers They are both given standing ovations. As Nagata is carted off he gives the crowd his signature salute.) | |
