The Progress theme song ‘BLOW’ by Chris Stapleton, Bruno Mars & Ed Sheeran plays as the pyro erupts .... We go to Mauro Renallo & Renee Young at ringside, who recap last weeks episode and set up what we are going to see tonight ....




JBL comes out to start the show complete with Red, White and Blue balloons .... JBL says MVP is gone and things are going to be different .... there will be new opportunities for people ....

This brings out Edge, and says he is taking over Progress .... he says he wants to make his debut next week against the man that built this company, AJ Styles ....

This brings out AJ to a big pop and gets nose to nose with Edge .... AJ quickly accepts the challenge and says this is the house that he built and he isn’t passing the torch .... Edge says he will take it from him .... they shake hands ....

Next out is Bobby Lashley to interrupt .... Lashley laughs at them and says AJ & Edge already know this, but he wants to make sure JBL knows that he’s the man around here .... He is the alpha male in this company and JBL better recognize that .... so Edge and AJ can fight next week to find out who the distant #2 is .... Lashley wants to get his hands on Randy Orton .... JBL sees potential and says he isn’t going to pass up this opportunity to book his first blockbuster main event .... tonight it will be Styles vs. Edge vs. Lashley!!!!


**** 1. Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) def. The Briscoes (Jay & Mark) .... ****
Both teams are trying to carve out their place in the crowded Progress tag team scene, and last week the Briscoes challenged the Street Profits in an attempt to ‘put them in their place’ .... the Profits are dripping in swag and the complete opposite of the country boy chicken farmers from Sandy Fork BY GOD Delaware .... The Profits score a HUGE upset when Ford avoids the froggy-bow from Mark, then hits the 6 star frog splash .... Dawkins Spears Jay out of the ring, then the Profits follow with the doomsday blockbuster on Mark and get the win ....


**** IN THE BACK ****

The Briscoes are interviewed after their loss to the Street Profits .... Jay says they are tired of the bullshit and they quit Progress ....


**** 2. Candice LeRae def. Britt Baker M.D. .... ****
Baker challenged Candice last week after Candice won a fatal 4 way .... Baker said that Candice won the match but couldn’t beat her one on one .... the ladies put on a good match, with Baker even escaping the GargaNO-escape .... Baker scored with a superkick and goes for the BAY BAY BUSTER (Brainbuster on knee) but Candice reverses into a cradle for the 3 count ....

POST MATCH: Baker is stunned by the loss .... Candice helps Baker up and extends her hand to her .... Baker takes it, but then takes Candice out with a superkick!  Baker pulls down her knee pad and hits a shining wizard with the exposed knee and leaves Candice laying!


**** PROMO ****

Video package for the arrival of BANDIDO, showing highlights from all over the UWF as well as his time in Mexico .... Bandido calls himself the most wanted man in the world and he is coming to Progress ....


IN-RING SEGMENT WITH RODERICK STRONG .... Strong comes out and talks about pinning Johnny Gargano in the 6 man match last week and says it automatically puts him in line for a UNITED STATES title shot .... he runs down Johnny Gargano as a paper champion, which brings Gargano out and we get a big brawl between the 2 of them .... ‘The Machine’ Brian Cage as well as Ricochet also get involved in the brawl, and pretty soon we’ve got 4 guys going at it with each other .... security comes out and separates all of them, and even JBL has to come out to try to restore order as we go to break ....


**** IN THE BACK ****

The action has moved backstage now as security is still trying to keep Gargano, Strong, Ricochet & Cage separate .... JBL has a solution and he books Ricochet vs. Brian Cage for tonight .... next week it will be Johnny Gargano defending the United States title against Roderick Strong AND whoever wins that match between Ricochet & Cage tonight ....


**** 3. Progress tag team champions War Machine (Hanson & Rowe) def. Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe & Luster the Legend) .... ****
Basically a squash match that sees Reno Scum get a couple of offensive moves .... War Machine hits their signature moves before finishing the match with the Fallout on Thornstowe ....

POST MATCH: Rowe cuts a promo saying they will fight the Street Profits or any other team in Progress .... This brings out Redragon .... Fish says they shouldn’t worry about the other teams in Progress, especially those ‘across the pond’ .... Instead they should worry about the ‘baddest team on God’s green’ being back together .... War Machine doesn’t care and lays the titles in the ring and invites them to come get them .... Redragon acts like they are going to enter the ring, but decide to leave instead ....


**** IN THE BACK ****

JBL makes an announces that the Killer Death Machines have vacated the Shimmer tag titles due to winning the UWF women’s tag titles .... We will crown new Shimmer tag champions at the YouTube special, ‘Heart of Shimmer 3’ .... there is also an announcement forthcoming concerning the Internet title ....


Back to ringside we are getting ready for the next match when Austin Theory jumps the railing unannounced .... Mauro talks about how Theory is a recruit at the Progress dojo and has competed in dark matches .... Theory has something to say tonight .... he talks about how Matt Riddle has come out and challenges various trainees in the dojo for the last few weeks, but he hasn’t called out Austin Theory .... the reason is because Theory is the biggest rising star in wrestling and would embarrass Riddle .... instead of Riddle coming out and challenging trainees he knows he can beat, he’s out here to challenge Riddle!  Instead, Jordan Myles comes out and wants to face Theory ....


**** 4. Austin Theory def. Jordan Myles .... ****
This is a great match that has the crowd chanting for both guys .... Theory backs up his claim, pinning Myles with the Attaxia ....

POST MATCH: Theory tries to prove a point by attacking Myles after the match, and he goes outside and gets a chair but before he can use it Matt Riddle comes out of the back to make the save .... Theory thinks better of the move and leaves ....


**** PROMO ****

We get a hype package for The Hippopotamus, hosted by RWA from Memphis, Tennessee on October 5th .... The video focuses heavily on Velveteen Dream cashing in the Intercontinental title for a shot at the world title on the show ....


**** 5. ‘The Machine’ Brian Cage vs. Ricochet ends in a no contest ****
Killer match between these two is interrupted by Roderick Strongs interference .... Strong pulls Ricochet to the floor and hits the End of Heartache, then lays out Cage with the Sick Kick .... Gargano runs back out and attacks Strong, and everyone gets involved in another HUGE brawl and the match has to be thrown out ....

POST MATCH: Another pull-apart, and again JBL comes out .... this time he says he is tired of all of them and they can all fight each other next week for the US title .... IN A ROUND ROBIN CHALLENGE!!!! ....


Up next, Universal and Internet Champion Shayna Baszler comes out along with Marina Shafir & Jessamyn Duke .... Baszler says that she heard there is some ‘announcement’ coming about the Internet title so she is going to save JBL the trouble .... she holds up the Internet title and says it represents all the keyboard warriors in their moms basement posting things on Twitter and Social Media .... she has no use for any of them, and she has no use for this title .... she tosses the title down and then says the Universal title represents your reality right now, SHE is your reality and the reality of everyone in that locker room ....

This brings out Lacey Evans, who is appalled by all the ‘nasties’ in the ring .... when she was Universal Champion she represented the title with class and sophistication .... the champion needs to be a role model for all women to look up to .... Baszler and her cronies are just societal trash .... Evans wants a shot at the title, so that will happen next week ....


**** 6. AJ Styles def. Bobby Lashley & Edge in a triple threat match .... ****
AJ is over huge as he is officially back from his suspension .... Edge is making his debut in the ring while Lashley continues his dominant run .... Action is hot and heavy here .... The finish sees AJ hit the Styles Clash on Edge, but Lashley breaks up the pin .... Lashley tosses AJ, then nails Edge with a spear!  AJ hits the phenomenal forearm to take out Lashley, then he pins Edge to win the match!!!! ....

POST MATCH: AJ celebrates, but Randy Orton slithers in the ring behind him .... RKO to AJ!  Lashley is back up and attacks Orton and they end up brawling into the crowd in a wild scene .... meanwhile, in the ring, Edge is up and AJ starts to stir after the RKO .... Edge waits for AJ to get and then lays him out with the spear!  Edge stands tall to end the show ....
