Subject: XWA presents FRIGHT NIGHT 2018 (10/31/18) Mon Jun 29, 2020 4:32 am
(I lost half the show I had written so here is a condensed version.)
(Before the show we see Magnum Adam Cole arrive at the arena with Gallows & Anderson. He notices the cameraman and has Gallows and Anderson accost him to make sure it wasn't Sami Callihan. Then he sees a guy with a Michael Myers mask backstage He has Gallows & Anderson grab him and he rips off the mask to reveal its just a backstage worker.)
1. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka vs "Border Patrol Agent" David Schultz - X-1 Climax Match (Block A)
(Schultz gives Snuka hard time about a work Visa before the match begins. Snuka gets annoyed and attacks Dr D. Then Schultz gets the upper hand for a bit but misses the Building The Wall flying elbow. Jimmy lands a cocobutt and the Death Leap for the win.)
Winner: "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka (+2 Pts)
2. Chris Candido vs Will Ospreay - XWA Cruiserweight Championship
(When Ospreay makes his way to the ring. He sees the girl who stole the kiss during the selfie pic last show. She has a sign that reads "I kissed Will Ospreay... And I think I liked it!". Will sees this and gives a slight smile before refocusing on the task at hand.
Candido dominates most of the way. He counters a suplex into a corkscrew falling Stunner. Will hits a few of his signature spots but can't get the 3 count. Chris regains control. He goes for the Blonde Bombshell but out comes Hangman Page. He doesn't interfere but his presence distracts Chris just enough for Ospreay to Nail a Super Samoan Drop. He goes back up... Air Assassin (Imploding 450 Splash). 1.. 2.. 3!)
Winner & Still Champion: Will Ospreay
(After the match Page enters the ring and trash talks Chris until Schultz comes out and chases him off.)
3. Canadian Ninjas w/George Steele vs Las Espinas
(Las Espinas make their XWA Arena debut. The fans are all for the Ninjas & George. At the start Portia does The Animals wavy arms thing which freaks out La Rosa Negra for a second. Espinas have a moment here and there but this is mostly all Ninjas who end it after hitting Northern Lights-Out on Rosita.)
Winners: Canadian Ninjas
4. Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Tommy Dreamer - X-1 Climax Match (Block B)
(Dixie Carter comes out and says due to the attack on Tommy Dreamer by The Latino Nightmare Tommy is injured and has to be replaced in the X-1. Carter introduces his replacement...
Welcome Back:
MOOSE!!! Moose has returned to XWA and the fans pop for the Baltimore bred powerhouse.
He and Tanahashi wrestle a clean but stiff match. Moose nails a Sidewalk Slam for a near fall. Tanahashi almost gets a tapout wing with the Cloverleaf. Then Tanahahi nails 2 Sling Blades and goes up for the High Fly Flow but Moose gets his knees up. He spears Tanahashi in half then hits Game Breaker (Wrist-lock transitioned into a discus lariat). 1.. 2.. 3! Moose pulls off the big upset.)
Winner: Moose (+2 Pts)
5. Bullet Club (Page, Gallows & Anderson) w/Amber Gallows vs The ELITE - UWF World 6-Man Championship
(Back & Forth matchup Amber gets involved which allows BC to gain the advantage for a while but they can't get the pinfall even after Page hits the Hangman's Lariat on Nick Jackson. Then the Champs come back. The Bucks hit a pair of dives on Doc & Page on the floor. In the ring OMEGA counters a Gun Stun and hits a Reverse Frankensteiner. Then nails the One-Winged Angel for the win.)
Winners & Still Champions: The ELITE
(After the match BC is attacked in the ring by The Uprising. Then they are attacked by CHAOS who wind up leaving everyone laid out in the ring as they stand tall.)
INTERMISSION: La Sombra, Asuka & Magnum Adam Cole come out to take pictures with the fans. You can see Cole is weary of the fans in costume and when another fan with a Michael Myers mask shows up he is rips off his mask to see just a fan underneath. Cole finally says enough and heads to the back.
6. Sasha Banks vs MsChif - Femme Fatale Championship
(One of the best matches of the night as Sasha brings her A game. She is in control early on but Chif turns things around and hits the Desecrator but Banks gets her foot on the ropes. She tries for another but Banks counters into a Crucifix! 1.. 2.. No!!! She gets the Bank Statement but Chif is able to get a rope break. Sasha sends Chif into the buckle and comes with the running Double knees but MsChif blasts her with the Black Mist in the eyes. Banks is blinded and in pain as MsChif nails her 2nd Desecrator of the night for the win.)

7. Rock n' Roll Empire w/Sunshine vs Kevin Steen & El Generico w/Paul Heyman - World Tag Team Championship
(This is the final chance for Steen & Generico against the Empire. Steen is very serious and is is doing everything he can to get Generico in the same frame of mind. The match plays out like a chess match. Both teams know each other well and it shows. Robert hits Steen with Lungblower for a 2 count. Generico catches Ricky with an Ole Kick. Steen nails Ricky with a Flying Senton but Robert breaks up the cover.
The heat turns up and we get a ref bump. Sunshine tosses a chair to Ricky who blasts Steen & Generico. Then he and Robert go for a Double Brainbuster on Generico but he slips out and nails both of them with a Bulldog. He has Robert in a full nelson as Steen grabs the chair. He swings but Robert ducks and Steen cracks Generico! Double Dropkick sends Kevin through the ropes. They then go up top as Generico staggers to his feet... Double Missile Dropkick! They cover as Sunshine has revived the referee Paul Turner. He counts... 1.. 2.. 3!)
Winners & Still Champions: Rock n' Roll Empire
(After the match Steen enters the ring he is furious. He grabs the steel chair as Generico has just struggled to get to a knee finally. Generico lifts his hand to Kevin who is seething. He raises the chair as the fans are yelling "NO!"... then just drops it down to the mat. He takes Generico's hand and pulls him up as the crowd cheers. Steen raises Generico's hand....

Then Generico kicks him right in the balls! The crowd is in silent shock. Steen is crumpled on the mat. Generico is screaming at Steen. He picks up the chair and Heyman gets into the ring. He stops Generico right as he was about to blast Kevin. Generico is about to hit Heyman but he yells "wait!" Then Heyman points at the turnbuckle. Generico gives an evil grin. He hands Paul the chair then drags Steen to the buckle. Heyman holds the chair on the top pad. Generico hoists him up. Then hits the BRAINBUSTAHHH!!! on the Steel Chair!!! Steen is completely out as Heyman raises the hand of Generico and the crowd is livid. They make their leave with the deafening chants of "Asshole" raining down on them.)
8. Bullet Club (Adam Cole & The Mighty) vs The Uprising (KOW & Schultz)
(As BC heads to the ring Cole passes the fan with the Michael Myers mask again. He has The Mighty remove his mask to show the same fan as before. Cole is obviously distracted by the thought of Sami Callihan might be lurking in the building. The match is a wild fight. The situation between CHAOS, Bullet Club & The Uprising has continued to escalate. The Mighty are anxious to prove their worth to BC tonight. They fight to a stand still with the Uprising but the fact that They were attacked earlier by CHAOS takes a toll on the Uprising and BC takes control. Cole ends it with hitting Schultz with the Florida Key.)
Winners: Bullet Club
(The Mighty and KOW are still fighting on the floor. When the fan with the Michael Myers mask rolls in the ring. He removes the mask but now its Sami Callihan underneath! He grabs Cole and delivers a Headlock Driver. Then grabs the Title belt and stands over the World Champion. Out comes the rest of Bullet Club but Callihan escapes through the crowd.)
Main Event: Shawn Michaels vs Kazuchika Okada w/Gedo - XWA Championship
(Michaels and Okada are old rivals and here is just another chapter in their story. They battle tooth and nail. THe action spills to the floor where HBK has Okada leaning on the ring post. He goes for Sweet Chin Music but Okada moves and Michaels kicks the post and hurts his ankle. Okada takes over from that point and works that injury. He locks in Red Ink (Kneeling cross-legged STF) and it looks as if Shawn will have to tap. But he sucks up all the energy and gets to the ropes.
The battle continues and Shawn catches Okada with a Reverse Atomic Drop. Then a Flying Forearm. HBK is not able to nip up with the injured ankle. He limps to the corner and scales the ropes for the flying elbow but Okada is up and dropkicks him from the top buckle to the floor. Okada rolls the injured Michaels into the ring. He gives the Rainmaker pose! He pulls him up... RAINMAKER!!!! He covers! 1.. 2..
Referee Paul Turner is pulled out the ring by Chris Candido! He tosses him into the railing. Then we see Fale roll into the ring He grabs Okada and delivers the Grenade. The referee has thrown the match out.)
Winner by DQ: Kazuchika Okada
Still Champion: Shawn Michaels
(The crowd is booing the non finish as Ishii runs down to help Okada. An angry Dixie comes out. She says since Fale and Candido wanted to ruin her Main Event. They will give her a new one. She books a Triple Threat match between Fale, Candido & Ishii. That match happens right now and bans anyone from CHAOS, Bullet Club or Uprising from ringside.)
Bonus Match: Tomohiro Ishii vs Bad Luck Fale vs Chris Candido
(Wild brawl where the referee is letting just about anything to go. In one of the biggest spots of the night Ishii Release German Suplexes Fale then Candido nails the Jersey Jam from the top. But Ishii pulls him off after he covers. They go at it a while. Then Ishii nails Candido with the Stonecrusher Brainbuster. But Fale tosses him into the ring post shoulder first. Then gives him the Bad Luck Fall for the win.)
Winner: Bad Luck Fale
(Fale raises his arms in victory but out of nowhere slides in Shawn Michaels who drops him with Sweet Chin Music as the crowd erupts! Michaels is still limping but poses with his belt as his music plays to happy audience.)
