XWA Presents: Next Generation 16: Finn-ished...

Announcer Gus Johnson welcomes everyone to the show. He talks a little about Glory. Then hypes up tonight's Main Event as NextGen Champion, Will Ospreay challenges Finn Balor for the UWF Junior Heavyweight Championship.


Match 1: Chase Owens vs Dragon Azteca Jr vs Bushi

This is the Next Generation debut of Chase Owens. He is a Junior heavyweight with a solid mat background. Not too flashy. All 3 men work well together. Owens hits Cut To the Chase(Swinging slingshot backbreaker) on Bushi. But then is caught with Green Destiny by Azteca Jr. But he is then caufght with black mist from Bushi. He school Boys him for the win. Gus wonders aloud where the hell does this ink like substance come up from. Is it his black Soul?

Winner: Bushi

Match 2: Mandy Rose vs Deonna Purazzo

The crowd loves Deonna. She appreciates the cheers and uses them to get her rolling against the newcomer. Jacknife by Deonna for 2. Mandy comes back with a Running bicycle kick. Purazzo later hits a Cross Body for another near fall. But Mandy gets her in a modified Octopus Hold. Deonna refuses to tap. Mandy releases the hold and whips her into the corner she charges but runs into a boot. Deonna goes to the 2nd rope and hits a Flying Shoulder Block. 1.. 2.. Kickout by Mandy. Deonna goes for a Tornado DDT but Rose throws her off and she lands face first. Springboard Bulldog by Mandy. Then she moves in and hits Golden Bomb (Sitout lifting double underhook facebuster). 1.. 2.. 3!

General Manager Jack Tunney comes out and announces a Womens title tournament. It will consist of 8 women. The 7 currently on the roster and a secret entry to be named later. It will begin next show with 2 tournament matches each show. He also lets us know next show's special guest will be The Young Bucks taking on BMX.

Match 3: Willie Mack vs Donovan Dijak

The rest of The Future are not here tonight. Dijak though is beeming with confidence as he attacks Mack before the bell. He tosses Willie to the floor and and gives him a Side Suplex on the floor. Mack gets back in before 10 with a Slingshot Shoulder block that catches Donovan by surprise. He nails Dijak with a Pounce then ends it with a Stunner.

Devin Taylor is in the back with UWF World Junior Heavyweight Champion, Finn Balor. Finn says he is really happy to be here. he remembers when he was just a young upcoming talent and wrestled for places like this. He hopes to see a lot of future stars here. But one guy he doesn't like is Will Ospreay. He says the guy has the talent of a 100 guys but the ego of 1000. Tonight he shows him his place.

Match 4: Altar Boy Luke vs "The Hangman" Adam Page

Altar Boy Luke is way out of his league tonight. Page clotheslines him over the top rope then hits a Shooting Star Plancha from the apron. He tosses him back in. and hits a Brainbuster. Then ends it with the Rite of Passage. Gus says Luke just got sacrificed.

We get a video package for the Womens Championship tournament. Quickly showing highlights of the 7 known women in the tournament. Then shows the Title Belt that is up for grabs.

Main Event: Finn Balor vs Will Ospreay - UWF World Junior Heavyweight Championship

Gus really puts over Balor as one of his favorites in the business. He says Ospreay though is the kind of guy that will sink to any level to win. That proves to be true as Will pulls out every dirty trick in the book. He catches Finn with a Hot Shot, then Rolls him  up with his feet on the ropes for a near fall.

Finn comes back and nails Will with a Shotgun Dropkick that blasts Ospreay into the corner buckle. He nails a reverse Bloody Sunday and covers... 1.. 2..


NO!! Ospreay kicks out. Balor climbs the ropes but Will shoves the ref into the ropes and causes the World Champ to crotch himself. Superplex by Ospreay! He goes up for the Imploding 450 Splash!!!


Balor got his Kknees up!!!! He quickly scales the ropes... Coup de Grâce (Diving double foot stomp)!!! Gus exclaims DAGGER!!!! 1.. 2.. 3!

Finn celebrates but then is Pearl Harbored by none other than Chris Candido! Chris Suplexes him to the mat then hits the Jersey Jam Legdrop from the top! Candido then poses as the crowd boos. Gus says he wishes Next Generation built a wall to keep jerks like him out of here.




Gus Johnson puts over next shows Women's Tournament and wishes everyone a Happy Holiday season HA HA HA!
